A/N: Yep. This arc involves Zane and Team Maelstrom fighting against Blaze in order to free Rachel from her engagement to Blaze. I'll say this now but this arc will feature a lot of royal jerks being that it's an easy trope for me to use plus I need to make Blaze an asshole and an royal jerk is really easy to write and hate at the same time. I mean it's one of those tropes that we'll see a lot in Zero because I honestly have fun writing it.
It may appear in Fairy Legion but I can't name a lot of royalty in Fairy Tail being that I'll find a way to make Jude likable. I mean I think he went a bit overboard in getting Lucy back but he cared for his daughter since he lost his wife. I'll be repeating myself this often but I'll be defending both Jude and Lucy for that arc because I love a problem that we can see both sides to. I'm the type of problem to side with something after I see and understand both sides to it.
I don't like controversy because no matter what side you're on, you're seen as an asshole. I think the Vic Mignogna thing is messed up and I hope they get it settled without too much controversy which by the way, I can't spell. Thank you autocorrect. You could say that his best known role is for Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist but to me, I know him best as Ikkaku Madarame from Bleach, Sabo from One Piece, Nagato and young Obito from Naruto, and Mard Geer from Fairy Tail.
Notice how he has appeared in the big three of the 2000s plus my favorite series. I don't have plans on watching Fullmetal because like with a Certain magical Index, I can never find a good place to start. I may find it one day but not for a while. Anyway, lets begin with some training. You think I was done with that but trust me, the sadism will never die because it's going to appear in Fairy Legion and well, it will be quite intense for two characters in the Fairy Tail Guild.
Narrator P.O.V.
Somewhere in the mountains, the weather is good being that the sky is clear. The area is surrounded by trees and you could hear the cries of birds. In terms of the view, it looked incredible. "Ah. I missed Mt. Stirols." said Zane with him currently excited and sitting on top of the mountain. He decided to make the training take place at his old home with him basically forcing everyone into the portal, His team was climbing up the mountain with Zane flashing back to last night.
Flashback Narrator P.O.V.
It was around eleven P.M. being that Zane had just gotten out of the shower. He was wearing his lounge wear ,a black shirt with red accents and matching black lounge shorts, being that he had a towel hanging around his neck. Zane had just finished patrolling the city with him heading toward the kitchen in order to recharge. He had to keep his hour of sleep being that for the next ten days, he's going back to his homeland of Noble Haven.
It was to train Team Maelstrom to fight against Blaze and his group plus him reuniting with Jordan and Leo. He was hoping to find out more about the Prophecy of Space and Time plus maybe something about his potential. Their main reason for this training to increase everyone's mental and physical strength. Just as he entered the kitchen, he sensed a magic circle appearing it. It belonged to Gayle with her standing there.
She looked at him being that she said,"So did you get out of the shower?". "I did so what's up?" said Zane, crossing his arms. Gayle looked at his toned and muscular body which had some droplets running down it. "You have an incredible body King Zane." said Gayle. 'Thanks I think. I mean I rather not piss off two Powells aka your husband and my friend with you flirting with me. So why are you here? And don't call me King. I'm guessing that you finally did your research on me." said Zane.
Gayle nodded as she said,"To tell you about the odds between Blaze and Lady Rachel. I also want to give you a thank you from Ignacio. No one has ever defended Rachel when it comes to Blaze. You are not a normal Cross-Species are you.". "Thanks. Still pissed that Ignacio aka Rae's brother isn't doing anything about this but that isn't the point right now. What are her odds?" said Zane. Zane opened the fridge door with him saying,"Wants something to do drink? I got booze.".
Gayle looked at Zane with her saying,"No but should a teen have booze?". Zane soon shrugged with him saying,"Alcohol doesn't work on me plus it's Dragon Ale. It will make you gain a lot of weight before making you drunk.". He was holding a bottle of the liquor. Zane took a sip from the bottle with him saying,"So the odds.". "Not good. Ignacio says that even with the training you and the others will have, the odds are not in her favor." said Gayle.
Gayle sighed as she said,"I hate to admit this but Blaze does have more experience than her. If only Phantoms were allowed to compete.". "That really sucks but I got faith and trust in my team Gayle. If that doesn't work, I got a couple of back up plans to free Rae. Oh and you can you sent a message to Rae's brother since you gave me his message. I want to thank him for being a good brother to Rae so could you?" said Zane.
Gayle looked at him with a questioning look on her face. "Why are you thanking him? I thought you hate her family." said Gayle. "Not true. I like Ignacio even though he didn't stop this mess. I don't like Rae's older sisters due to them being jealous of Rae and getting her in this mess. He tried to keep her safe which is the job of a good family member. Didn't her parents try to stop this engagement in the first place?" said Zane.
Gayle looked away as she said,"Her father did a few years after Rachel was born. He died to some wounds sustained in battle protecting his family from some Phantom assassin lead by the Phantom Hyde.". "Yeah. That sounds like something Hyde would do. He doesn't exactly like people who have more power than him. At least Rae doesn't hate Phantoms and her mom's location?" said Zane. "That is a bit more complicated." said Gayle.
Zane nodded as he said,"Mind telling me since it involves my friend.". "Yes. After her father's death at the hands of Phantoms, Rachel's mother went on a journey and ignoring her family. Lady Astrid and Lady Chloe blamed Rachel for their mother leaving them," said Gayle. "Wow. They're awful people and mind doing two things for me? The first one is to find Rae's mom and bring her home or the second one is to place some flowers on her father's grave." said Zane.
Zane smiled as he said,"I would ask you to kick the crap out of Astrid and Chloe but I kinda want to do that myself since I'm saving their sister from the mess they made.". Gayle soon nodded as she was gone. Zane soon took the final sip of his bottle before recycling it. He soon smiled as he said,"Okay Blaze. You're going to be defeated in the game of Domination being that if you find a way to win, I'll keep Rachel away from you. She doesn't belong to you or anyone.".
Narrator P.O.V.
Zane was pulled out his flashback with him hearing,"Partner please wait for us. You are our monster repellent.". Zane turned around to see Sly standing next to Danny and Gwen with Zane floating down the mountain. He soon headed to them and he said,"Don't worry Sly. This trail is rather safe plus the animals live on the other side of the mountain so we should be fine.". "Your utter lack of concern is worrying but at least, you're acting normal." said Danny.
Gwen nodded as she said,"So should we go check on the others?". "They'll be fine. I mean these bags are pretty light." said Zane, holding a normal sized backpack. The four were at a rest stop being that Zane saw someone coming into view. "Come on Rae. You can do it." said Zane. Rachel moaned in exhaustion being that she was currently carrying an oversized and overstuffed backpack. She could drop dead at any moment not being that it felt like she was carrying a tank on her back.
She continued onward being that she tried not to get distracted by the fact that she was sweating like nothing else. She was hoping that she didn't collapsed on the slope being that if she did that, she would not get back up again. The sun glaring down on her with no clouds didn't help. "So why the hell aren't you guys doing it?!" said Rachel. "Because we did this during our training and also I'm a sadist when it comes to training." said Zane, smirking.
Gwen looked at Zane with her saying,"At least he finally admits to his sadism.". "Yeah plus Rae's stronger than you think plus this is nothing at all compared to the stuff that Theron put me and Zane through. Still can't believe I got to train with him because he felt like it." said Danny. "Yeah. That sounds exactly like him to me. He's a good guy." said Zane. "On your right." said Allen, suddenly going past her.
Unlike Rachel, he was carrying a normal sized bag. "Seriously?! Why did you get a little bag?!" said Rachel. "No idea. I guess our leader knows about my dad's strict but fair teaching." said Allen. "Move it please." said Heidi. She soon went past Rachel with the princess seeing that she was carrying a bag five times the size of hers. "How are you doing this exactly?" said Rachel. She soon stumbled with her falling face first on the ground.
Rachel said while her voice was missed by the ground,"I hate this so much. My legs are on fire and can't move!". "Come on Rae. You can do this. We totally believe in you." said a voice. Kevin ,on the back of Wolfram in his wolf form, stood next to her as Wolfram barked. "Yeah. I don't think Zane is going to help her right now. It's training right?" said Sly. "Yep. This training came to built up your strength and hopefully control your power to a level where it's usable Rachel." said Zane.
Kevin looked at the oversized bag as he said,"So what's in here exactly?". He touched it being that it opened up. Rachel saw what was inside and she glared at Zane. "Beach chairs? Sunscream? Coolers? Are we throwing a barbecue or training?!" yelled Rachel. She was clearly annoyed at Zane's games being that he only smiled. Rachel usually loved Zane's smile but not right now. If she didn't know how strong he was, she would punch his smile clean off his face.
Zane smiled as he said,"We're not Rae. We are here to train. I promised my paternal grandma that I would bring her some gifts and I thought. Why not kill two birds with one large boulder?". "You can't be serious." said Rachel. "Maybe I am or maybe I'm not. Who really knows. I can say this. We'll be strong enough to handle any opponent in our path plus we're going to get some help." said Zane. He soon picked her up with bag and all. "Come on your highness." said Zane.
Rachel knew that Zane was right being that because it was still seven vs thirteen being that their odds were against them from the very start. She wished that Zane could compete but thanks to Arturo and Sivarth, he was a Phantom being that he couldn't compete. Wolfram was in the same boat being that with their help, the fight would be no problem. Zane soon placed her on the ground with him patting her head affectionately. "You made it Rachel so good job." said Zane.
Rachel looked at him as she said,"And you did this when you were how old again?". "I think four years old." said Zane. Rachel groaned loudly as Kevin said,"So your grandma owns this and the entire mountain range Zane?". "Yeah. She does." said Zane. Rachel looked to see where they were staying being that her eyes widened. She soon saw a four storied building made of white bricks being that it was shaped like a "U".
The windows on the first floor were regular panel, painted matte white. The windows on the second, third and fourth floors however, were all bay-style windows, also painted matte white. The main entrance to the house was right in front of them, at the base of the 'U'. It was a simple entrance with a slightly raised cement slab and was canopied to provide shelter. At the edges of the building, hedges and garden beds were filled with numerous flowers like red roses and sunflowers.
Behind them, there is a large fountain. There is a large dragon sculpture in the center of it with the the fountain was positioned in such a way, that it could act as a sort of roundabout. It was surrounded by so many trees, being secluded from the world. There was also a lake nearby the house with a small pavilion looking over it. "So where are we exactly?" said Rachel, wiping more sweat off her brow to stop it from reaching her eyes.
The front doors of the estate opened and walking out was Trixie Alvarez. "This is my humble abode princess. It's nice to see you all again." said Trixie. She hugged her grandson with him saying,"Hey there grandma. Thanks for letting us it for training.". "It's no problem Zane. You're not like your father who wanted to let you and his darling wife to stay in that shack." said Trixie. "I wanted to stay there but it doesn't work for nine people. We barely got by with five back then." said Zane.
He smiled as he said,"Well, it's time to begin our training.", "But we just got here! Can't we relax for a bit?! Are you truly that evil?!" said Rachel. "Thank you Rachel. You're truly kind with those words of you." said Zane with a sly smile and a bright twinkle in his eyes. "I'll show you all to your rooms and hopefully, those two will be happy to see you Zane." said Trixie. Zane slowly nodded with Rachel thinking,"Please. Don't make those two old friends of Zane being sadistic monsters like him.".
A bit later, Zane told everyone to get changed into their track suit being that he asked Gwen and Heidi to make sure that Rachel doesn't try and sneak out of it being that she's the weakest link right now and for saying that, he was called rather blunt even more than normal. They were all in the same track suit that they wore in the previous episode with Zane wearing his gym wear. "Our main goal here is improve your physical strength Rachel." said Zane.
He sighed as he said,"Even though you're a devil and a noble one, you're weaker than a human right now. We need to improve your ability to control your energy. Am I missing anything Lucifer? I got the most of it.". Zane's right hand glowed midnight blue with him saying,"Nothing come to mind. I can send a lot of potential in you plus you got a rocking body.". Rachel looked at Zane with him saying,"In my defense, he's a pervert. So lets begin". His eyes twinkled and smiled.
Rachel could only groaned as the training officially began. She was seriously starting to doubt her chances of making through these next ten days without dying in the process and she was starting to hate that cute smile of his. The first training consisted of Danny and Gwen, standing opposite of each other with each of them holding a wooden sword. Zane and the others stood to the side with Rachel said,"Hold on. I thought I would be the first one to be lead to the slaughter.".
Allen smiled as he said,"You were but I convinced Zane to have Danny and Gwen spar first.". "Please don't get easy on me Gwen. I need to be strong to protect my friends." said Danny. "I was about to ask you the same thing." said Gwen. "This match is to improve your reaction time and reflexes." said Zane. The two circled each other slowly as they gauging their each other's movement. Danny charged forward with him soon engaging his opponent who easily blocked the blow with her own sword.
Danny expected this since his best friend and girlfriend were the best when it came to the sword but he wanted to get better with Ghostly Broadsword. He knew that he couldn't beat Gwen being that she had been training for longer than him but he wasn't going to give up without a fight. "You're a little off Danny but you're getting better." said Gwen. She kept blocking his blows with her saying,"Keep a close eye on your opponent Rae because they'll do anything they can to win even if it's illegal.".
Gwen kept blocking Danny's attack with her striking down on her sword, causing his wooden sword to go flying toward the ones watching. "Nice try man!" said Kevin, sitting under a tree. "If you're going to be an ass about it Kevin, how about you try sparing with her?" said Danny. "Less talking and more focus!" said Gwen, hitting Danny's head with her sword. "Ow! I thought Zane was the sadist not you Gwen!" said Danny.
Zane chuckled with him walking toward the wooden sword that Danny dropped. He picked it up with one hand being that Zane did some practice swings. "Hey Gwen. I don't think me and you ever spared before after I got back from my training." said Zane, holding the wooden blade. "You're right. Want to use our real swords instead Zane?" said Gwen. Zane nodded with him summoning Cardinal Etcher and the two soon clashed blades.
This spar went on for about thirty minutes being that Gwen had been constantly pushed back by the Cross-Species. "Wow. Zane is really good with that sword." said Allen. "Many past Zeroes were good with the sword and their talent transferred to him." said Trixie. Wolfram barked as Trixie said,"It's nice to see you too Wolfram.". "Your speed and strength are amazing Zane." thought Gwen. Even through she was no slouch with the sword, Zane was on another level.
She was also sure that Zane wasn't putting in that much effort, causing her to push back her limits just to keep up with Zane's strong but fast strikes. Gwen jumped out of the way of Zane's downward slash with the sword hitting the ground, breaking it and leaving Zane in a crater. The group looked at Zane who said,"Huh. I guess you had absorbed a lot of her Animus didn't you? You're actually kind heavy so good to call it quits Gwen. If I hit you with the sword, it'll seriously hurt right now.".
Gwen fell onto the ground with her trying to catch her breath. "Sure thing Zane. You are quite the swordsman." said Gwen. "And you're quite the swordswoman but you have some flaws." said Zane with Danny handing his girlfriend a bottle of water. "Your stamina is one thing mainly but that can be improved your time. Your main weakness is your low defense. I think we need to try increasing your ability to take a hit. Danny and Wolfram should be able to help you with that." said Zane.
Gwen smiled as she said,"You're right. So what should I do to fix it?". "Increase how fast you can go which in turn will increase your stamina as well." said Zane. "And how would she do that? She isn't slow but compared to you, she's slow." said Danny. "Thanks for your compliment honey." said Gwen with Danny chucking nervously. "We'll create a gravity field and you'll go do about five laps around the lake. So how strong do you want it?" said Zane.
Danny said,"Lets start with two times Earth's gravity.". Zane nodded with the couple soon feeling that their bodies getting heavier. "Yep. This is pretty light for my standards but for you two, it's a good point to begin. It'll take some time to get used to it but you got this." said Zane. He soon walked away from the two with him saying,"Wolfram. Mind helping them up?". The dog nodded as the couple was soon running.
Inside of the house, Allen was teaching Rachel how to manipulate energy due to him being a pure energy being and Zane sat nearby, sipping some Dragon Ale he brought with him. They were in a room inside of the mansion. "From what I gathered, manipulate energy is something that all beings in the Omniverse can do. Our goal here is to help you stream it through a focus point after we help you manipulate the flow of energy rather than the other way around." said Allen.
Rachel nodded with her holding her upgraded wand thanks to Kevin and Zane, mainly the former rather than the latter. Her staff now looked more wand like with a slender appearance. It kept its scarlet red color to it with it still having black stripped lines to it. The major new additions to it were the brooch at the end of it. It's blue and red with an oval cut with it designed to support energy control.
Rachel closed her eyes with her following Allen's instructions. "Another thing you can do is think of something good. From what I saw, you're straining yourself to suppress your energy. Your energy is a part of you so instead of focusing on something bad, think of something good." said Zane. Rachel soon nodded with her faintly feeling something flowing around him being that she hoped it was the flow of her energy.
She soon concentrated on the feeling with her focusing it into a single point. She opened her eyes to see a small scarlet ball of energy in the space in front of her hand. "Nice job. Size doesn't matter in this case." said Zane. "Did you have to make it dirty? Good job by the way." said Allen. "Thanks. I hope that I can be able to use this power effectively." said Rachel. She accidentally released the ball to the table with it being destroyed. "Wow. That's amazing." said Allen.
A bit later, Heidi held a bottle of water in front of the duo of Rachel and Zane. "So are you okay with helping Rae here with her magic training? Kevin is outside to tease Danny in my place since my main focus is on improving Rae here." said Zane, placing his right hand on Rachel's head. "Yep. Gwen has taught me the basics of Animus. They can also use to improve their physical stats but Rae is quite different." said Heidi .
She soon made the bottle of water freeze over with pillars of ice coming out of it. "Wow. That's fast Heidi." said Rachel. "From what I read, the Akostar is the best at manipulating their energy which has been called a different form of Impulse or magic. Once you grasp the technique which you're doing a good job at, you can control all of the elements with no problem. The first step is to focus on those concentration exercises." said Heidi.
Rachel sighed as she said,"Yeah but at least, I'm not blowing up any tables.". "Manipulating any form of Impulse involves a lot of visualization. You could do it anything you want being that you just have to focus on it." said Heidi. "Yep. I do that with Zenith Sphere." said Zane. "It can be anything that I want right?" said Rachel. "Yep. It matters to you Rae. Just focus." said Heidi. Rachel nodded as she began focusing, making a scarlet red energy bouquet of flowers.
The next lesson was Rachel training with Wolfram being that much to her surprise, she didn't suck at it thanks to Zane giving her some sparing practice being that she was used as a punching bag. Rachel was able to hold her own against the Phantom until he decided to become a human. Rachel soon hit the side of a tree as Wolfram stood there in his human form. Thanks to the duo of Gwen and Zane, he and Sly can become humans.
He looks to be about twelve/thirteen years old and 4 foot 11. He has spiky white hair that falls in front of his face and down the sides of his cheeks. He has neon green eyes that's filled with confidence in his power and loyalty for his family. He has furry-triangle wolf-ears perched on the top of his head and a jet black fluffed tail that jutted out from the base of his spine with a steel gray tip. He's wearing a black jacket with rolled up sleeves and a simple gray t-shirt under it.
Wolfram is wearing navy blue cargo shorts with a thick leather belt and snow white sneakers. He currently had his hands in the pockets of his jacket mainly to look cool. "You're doing good Rae." said Wolfram with a hyperactive tone. "Thanks but I'm not done yet!" said Rachel. She spent most of the match, trying to block the boy's solid hits. Despite being a couple of years old, he really hurts. Rachel couldn't fight back being that she had to focus on dodging but Wolfram saw that coming.
She lunged toward Wolfram in an attempt to catch her off guard and grapple him into submission. It seemed that Wolfram could see this coming with him dodging her grasp and flipped him onto his stomach within a second. He was sitting on the back of her neck with his legs wrapped around her neck in order to make her say uncle. "You may think that you're being clever but you were pretty obvious in your attack. Aim for the opponent's weak spot and hit them hard." said Wolfram.
After a few seconds at trying to break his iron grip and dislodge her from her back, Rachel said in pain,"Uncle!". Wolfram let her go with him smiling. "Don't worry so much Rae. Me and master may be unable to fight with you guys but you're stronger than me." said Wolfram. "Really? And how am I stronger than a Phantom who can turn into a human?" said Rachel. "You make my master blush real easy but that won't help you in a fight against Blaze." said Wolfram.
Wolfram smiled as he said,"Just remember everything that we're trying to teach you. Precision is key in a fight according to master plus make sure to remember that we're always by your side no matter where we are on the battlefield.". Rachel was impressed with Wolfram being that before now, she had only heard his voice in her head and to her, he sounded childish. Wolfram was very much like Zane except way cuter.
Rachel nodded in agreement with her saying,"Thanks Wolfram. You're a good dog.". Wolfram's smile grew bigger with him saying,"Lets do a second round before master comes get you!". "Can we just hide in the woods instead?" said Rachel. "Nope. Master will find you even if you're really good at hide and seek like me!" said Wolfram. Rachel sighed with her getting ready to spare with the dog due to her fearing the next part of her training.
The final part of her training for the day was with Zane being that she had outwardly showed fear toward this part being that everyone know why. Zane often made it clear that he loved pushing them toward the brink of death many times. They were pretty sure if Zane wasn't their friends, he was trying to kill them through exhaustion. "Why are you such a sadist Zane?!" wheezed Rachel being that she finished the latest task that was given to her.
She just finished off her one hundredth lap around the massive mansion ,being at least five kilometers wide, and came to a stop, collapsing at his feet. Zane was currently leaning back in a reclining chair and enjoy the sunset, reading a romance novel. "If you keep complaining Rae, I'll only make it much much worse. Lets see what we should do next." said Zane, pausing his book. "Let me take a quick but long nap first!" said Rachel.
Zane clapped his hands together with him saying,"I got something better. Two hundred push ups.". "In what dimension is that better?!" gasped Rachel. "I could make it FIVE hundred or maybe a cool one thousand." said a stern Zane. He didn't mean it of course but he was a sadist when it comes to training. "This is a result of your training Zane." said Athena, shaking her head. "Nah! I think it's the sadism that comes from the previous Zeroes." said Cole. "Not a bad theory Cole." said Twilight.
Zane smiled as he made a glass of water appear. "If you finish the push ups before I finish this glass of water, you won't have to make dinner for everyone and that includes me. I'll also add you having to climb up the nearby steep mountain with a rock tied to your back and me on top of the rock." said Zane with Rachel getting into position. She began counting off each push-up being that she was very much exhausted and couldn't handle more. "You'll thank me for this." said Zane in a innocent tone.
Thankfully, Zane was showing him mercy being that Rachel didn't have any more work to do being that he decided to take over Rachel's cooking duties for the night being that the princess was in her room, sleeping like a log. Zane was in the kitchen with him in the zone. Ever since he learned how to cook from Kurt and Lucius, Zane grew to love cooking. He used his flames to boil the water with him peeling the skin of the potatoes.
Zane said,"Yep. This is good training too and with this food, it will improve their bodies as well.". He soon finished up the meal and he said,"Pretty sure if I have some time, I could have a cooking show right you guys?". "Sure Zane. Whatever helps you sleep at night." said Kane. "I think he's saying that due to him not being able to get your amazing cooking partner." said Sivarth. "Yeah." said Twilight.
A bit later in the main dining hall, the group were having dinner that Zane made of them. The apex of the dinning hall rose six meters from the floor and like the rest of the house, it was made of wood. It was a large enough room, that you could fit a regular house inside of it comfortably. Little furniture adorned it being that aside from the immense dining table ,which could sit hundred people, the only other object that could be counted as furniture was a large marble fireplace.
Since it was winter, the fireplace was hot as an inferno. On the walls, the only decoration were banners emblazoned with the crest of the Alvarez family which is also the main symbol for the Alliance used on their badges. It's a shiny gold emblem of a pair of draconian wings attached to a pentagon shaped shield. Behind the shield, there are two crossed katanas with the blade tips being pointed downwards at a perfect 45 degree angle.
Upon further look, the word "Protector of the Omniverse" was etched into the edge of the shield. The food looked amazing with the sight was making the teens plus the Akostar and Phantom wanting to dig in and eat as much as they can. "You really did good making this food Zane." said Trixie. "Thanks but I had a lot of practice in the kitchen. Kurt and Lucius were strict when it comes to making good food." said Zane as he smiled. "So can we dig in before it gets cold?" said Kevin.
Zane nodded with Rachel barely finding the strength to accept the bowl of rice and cooked veggies that Zane made her. When she took the first bit, she felt life flow back into her body. She noticed how hungry she was being that after today's training, she quickly finished off the bowl. "It seems that you really like my cooking." said Zane. Rachel nodded her head being that she said,"Yeah. You're really good Zane.". "Thanks. I learned how to cook because I wanted to be like my brothers." said Zane.
Allen smiled with him saying,"Zane. I know this may sound crazy but can you come back with me and become my personal chef? This cooking is so good!". He soon began stuffing himself with Heidi saying,"I've got to agree with him Zane. You cook even better than my mom and dad.". Everyone was eating like they haven't eaten in a month with Sly saying,"I guess you're going to make the girls really happy one day Zane.". Wolfram ,in his dog form, nodded as he barked in joy.
After finishing their meal, Trixie stood up from her chair. "I think that's enough training for today so how about you kids head to the baths? You've earned it after surviving my grandson's Spartan training today." said Trixie. "So is it a unisex bath or what?" said Kevin, blushing. "Yep. My grandma doesn't believe in the idea of separating genders when it comes to the bathes. So are you guys up for a group bonding exercise?" said Zane with a cheeky smile.
Gwen blushed with her looking at Danny. "I don't mind if you don't Danny." said Gwen. "Yep. I'll just make sure that Kevin doesn't look at you funny." said Danny. "I'm not that big of a pervert anymore man." said Kevin, sulking. "While I enjoy some bonding in the baths, Zane won't be able to join since we're here for other purposes alongside the teams training." said Kane. His voice echoed throughout the room.
The group looked at Zane's right hand which was currently covered by a black glow. "So what is it exactly Zane?" said Allen. "I got my own personal training to do being that it involves finding my potential." said Zane. "I know that you're upset partner but don't you worry. We'll make sure that you aren't overworked so you can tortured Rachel tomorrow." said Kane. "Lucky me. See you tomorrow Zane." said Rachel.
Zane smirked as he said,"And what makes you think that?". "I have no idea about what you're talking about." said Rachel. "I was thinking that we could bond in a different way. Instead of the baths, we can share a bed together. I mean we don't have to do the deed but I thought why not since we're best friends." said Zane. "That isn't happening Zane." said Rachel, smiling. "But I heard that someone ,not saying Andrea, likes to sleep in nude with her closest friend or she couldn't sleep." said Zane.
Rachel smiled as she said,"Oh really? Whoever she is sounds like a real weirdo and totally not your type Zane.". "Why not? I mean I'm quite the catch." said Zane. "And what's gives you that crazy idea Zane?" said Rachel. "Just look at this body, no one could resist it being that my awful personality is the reason why I don't have to create repellent. I also heard that for some fucked up reason, she is forced to marry to some idiot who's into screwing his family." said Zane.
Rachel smiled as she said,"That's a real shame. What are you going to do about it? She seems like a good girl. Way too good for you.". "As a matter of fact, I got plans to handle him. I'll be training her and her friends to destroy him and the rest of the geckos with ease plus beat him around for her. After all of this, she'll be all over me and nothing will keep her away." said Zane. "Well then Zane, you're a sweet guy. Be sure to tell her...." said Rachel.
Kevin coughed loudly and said,"Could you two please stop flirting for gods sake?!". Trixie giggled at Kevin's reaction with Gwen and Heidi both red in the face due to the tone of their conversation. Both Allen and Danny just smiled at the scene as Sly and Wolfram had a neutral and confused expression respectively. "So sorry Kev but if you want, I can flirt you too. I like guys too." said Zane. "If you do that, I'll break your legs." said Kevin, going back to his food.
Zane frowned as he said,"Wow. I'm so hurt. Well, I'm heading to the shower so no peeking and make sure she doesn't do it Wolfram.". Wolfram saluted Zane as Rachel said,"Don't tempt me Zaney. You are quite tempting.". Kevin forced him to fight the urge to punch Zane in the face but he knew that Zane could catch it without trying. Kevin could tell that he was trying to help bring Rachel back to normal but their constant back and forth flirting was pissing him off.
It made the stuff that Kristen and Zane look small in comparison. Kevin could understand why several girls see him as a potential boyfriend. He could cook, charismatic, and cares about people too much. Zane even forgave him after all of the crap he did but he knew that Zane was still mad at him for almost killing Karen years ago. As Zane went to the shower, he thought,"Really wish that I didn't have to do this but to protect everyone I care about, I need to find it before I'm too late.".
After leaving the mansion, Zane made his way into the woods. "So where are we going? I mean we are trying to find something right?" said Cole. Zane was holding a map being that he was currently following a path to the Cave of Prophecy. His grandma told him that all knowledge on the Prophecy of Space and Time will be there plus an old friend of his. He had been walking for a few minutes now before stopping.
Zane soon looked around to see that he was in the middle of a large clearing in the woods which was only occupied by him and green grass. "Wow. This place is pretty nice. So where is the entrance to the Cave?" said Zane. "Listen to your grandma's instructions partner." said Sivarth. Zane nodded as he soon closed his eyes. "According to her Zane, we need to focus on our full power and the entrance should appear to us." said Sivarth.
Zane nodded as he began to focus. The air around him was silent being that nothing was making a silence not even a mouse. He soon released his power from his body, hitting the side of the nearby mountain. A giant door opened in the side of the mountain with Twilight said,"Wow. That's quite an entrance. Ready to begin?". "Yeah. We'll get stronger." said Zane. The teen soon walked into the cave as it closed behind him.
Meanwhile in an unknown room and place, there was something going on. "Interesting. That's quite an story Gayle." said a voice. It belonged to a young man whose face was covered by shadows. He was sitting on a throne with him currently talking to Gayle. "Yes. I'm sure that he has something to do with her changing for the better according to Andrea." said Gayle. "Yes. It's real good to see my sister changing for the better." said the voice, chuckling.
Gayle sighed as she said,"To be honest with you, I don't think she stands a chance of winning.". "She doesn't but I got faith in the boy that she has grown fond of. From what Spiro tells me, Zane won't give up on his friends and that's someone that Rachel needs after the abuse she's taken from her older siblings. I wish I could stop them but I've been focused on my duties." said the voice. "If you knew that she was going to lose, why let her go through the training?" said Gayle.
The voice said,"To show Blaze and our siblings how strong Rachel Powell can be. I got no doubt that Rachel will take over the duties of clan leader rather well being that I can see that her leadership is quite powerful.". "And to have the good graces of the Phantoms is a good thing as well." said Gayle as the voice smiled. "Yep. You should relax Gayle. Don't get crows feet on me." said the voice which earned him a blast of snow from Gayle who was gone. The next day went by faster than yesterday.
Rachel showed improvement in her lesson but needed more work when using her energy as a offensive manner. This was to be expected since she has trouble aka the giant crater in front of the mansion. Today, Rachel decided to teach her friends about the five devil clans of Terrarune. Despite their power, the devil's numbers are rather low due to something called the Omniverse War. Rachel later explained that she didn't know much about the Omniverse War was until Kane explained it.
The Vulcorian soon explained that the Omniverse War was between the Eazairvian and Qlakriks and was a very long time ago. Most species had to pick a side with several species either dying out or thriving because of who they've side with in the war. The devils were the case of the former rather than the latter. Rachel told the group that they had to recruit other species to fill their numbers. They could breed but that came with a serious problem.
Devils are able to live for several thousands years but they have low birthrates. "So despite aging at the speed of a snail and having no physical flaws whatsoever, you can't have kids." said Zane. He knew that Rachel wanted to be a mother since she helps him out by keeping an eye on the kids who love her like they would a mother. "It isn't like that. We can have kids but it's rather hard for us to conceive." said Rachel. "Have you tried?" said Zane.
Rachel sighed as she said,"I haven't but my species has. My mom was lucky to have three kids. It's common for most devil females to produce a kid. A reincarnated devil is more likely.". "So I guess me being the species that breeds like rabbits is better than being a species that can't produce more than one kid." said Zane. "So what species breeds like rabbits? Pretty sure that it isn't the Vulcorian given that it's only you and Uriel running around causing mischief." said Heidi.
Zane smiled as he said,"It's the Eazairvian much to my shock when I learned this from Parker of all beings. Anyway, you get to have all the fun of love making except with the possibility of kids. Kids are great but not for everyone.". "Always looking at the positive aren't you?" said Rachel, smirking at Zane. "You know it and it's the best way of living in the mess that is the Omniverse." said Zane who leaned back in his chair.
Rachel said,"Since we're still on our break, how about we get something to drink?". "I'll go make it since we can't let the guys touch it." said Heidi, leaving for the kitchen. "And I think she's talking about our leader specifically." said Allen. "He's kinda right. I mean we don't want another Noxious Nightmare incident." said Kevin. "Ha ha. I'll have you know that I only use that stuff for pranks and pissing off devil royalty not for my friends." said Zane.
The next week saw no real change in the brutal training regime that Zane has set out specifically for his team being that they constantly objected to the brutal training that Zane gave them. He constantly told them that this training was going to be worth it in the end and after they survive this, they will push past their limits and win this fight. He gave them extra amount of training because he's a real sadist for training. This joke isn't dying so get use to it.
Zane noticed that Rachel was pushing herself the harder despite her complaining about it. Zane had caught her training secretly at night being that Zane smiled at the scene. The group was outside with Zane saying with a smile,"Okay. Time for a quick break.". "Thank the gods!" said Kevin and Rachel in unison, leaning back on the grass. "It isn't that bad you babies." said Sly. Wolfram barked as Heidi said,"To be fair, they are the worst in gym class.". "So why are we stopping?" said Danny.
Zane smiled as he said,"Everyone. I would like you to meet my old friends Jordan Wells aka Vesta and Leonardo/Leo Shanks aka Nighthawk. They're going to be joining us to help up against Blaze being that it's now nine to thirteen. We've increased the odds in our favor and Gayle says that it's fine.". The group from Cypress Park soon saw two people walking toward them with Kevin's eyes widening. It was two girls. Lets go with the girl on the right first being that she’s very beautiful.
Most people are instantly drawn to her upon taking a single look at her. She’s 5 foot 5. She’s mixed ethnicity being that she’s half Japanese and English with her looking more English than Japanese just like Zane. She has thick, wavy cherry-blossom/light pink hair with her bangs swept to the left side of her face. She ties her hair in a side-ponytail ,held there in a phoenix bird-like decoration, but lets her hair down to her shoulders. She has hazel eyes.
She has a slender, curvy, and yet toned figure with a fair complexion. She has a well-endowed bust and slim waist. She’s has an athletic figure. Her face is heartshaped and angular being that she often has a smile on her face. She also has high cheekbones. She has thin eyebrows. She's wearing a white tank top with “fire” written on it in gold. She's wearing denim blue jeans which shows off her curves and a silver belt.
She's wearing dark brown high heeled boots with a cross like logo on the side. She has on a gold four leaf-clover which is in the shape of cross symbol pendant necklace. She has sapphire blue nail polish and rose pink lipstick. She has three gold bracelets on each wrist and silver hoops earring. On her right hand, she has on a black fingerless glove with a golden flaming cross on it. The girl on the left is actually a male but sure as hell doesn't look like it.
He’s sixteen years old with him having a very androgynous appearance with him being 5 foot 6. He has fair yet pale looking skin being his frame is slender yet muscular. His face is very kind looking and doll-like with his long eyelashes being noticeable and thin eyebrows. He’s been called a beautiful girl. He has auburn hair that frames his head thanks to two locks and he has pointed ears. He has green eyes. He has a set of sharp fangs.
He has on a long, dark purple scarf that he got from Zane when he little. He has on a brown sandals even in the winter. Kevin smiled as he said,"Zane. Why didn't you tell me that you were friends with such cute girls and never introduce me to either one of them?". "Thank you." said the two with the brunette blushing. "Aren't you going to deny that claim Leo? I mean you're a guy." said Zane, putting his arms behind hid head.
Kevin's eyes widening with Leo aka the brunette crying. "I'm sorry Zane! Don't be mad at me!" said Leo. He soon went into a fetal position with Jordan comforting him. "I doubt Zane is or could be mad at you in the first place. I mean he did forget about us but that was because he wasn't strong enough and also the Akostar living inside of him." said Jordan. "Really? Are you mad at me brother?" said Leo, with tears covering his eyes.
Zane comforting him with him saying,"I could never be mad at you like Jordan says. I thought you would be mad at me for forgetting you.". Leo hugged Zane with the boy's crying getting worse. Zane chuckled as he said,"Even after all of this time, you haven't changed.". "Nope. He hasn't but both of all us have gotten stronger." said Jordan. "Yeah!" said Leo, smiling. "So do you think they could help us?" whispered Gwen. "If Zane trusts them, I'll trust them as well." said Danny.
Gwen looked at her boyfriend as she said,"So did you know about them?". "Nope. Me and Zane met when he and his mom came to the Citadel in Noble Haven. We become friends fast since we were the only kids within the Alliance base. When I heard about Zane moving to Cypress Park, I wanted to join him so that's how we become good friends. I never need to ask about Zane's past so yeah. We'll win this." said Danny. Gwen smiled as she wanted to protect her friends no matter what.
It was soon the last night that they would spend in the large mansion. Zane was still awake with him getting a drink of water from the kitchen and spotted something out in the distance. He walked toward the window with him spotting Rachel sitting over in a pavilion nearby the lake. "She isn't training obviously. I wonder what she's still doing up." thought Zane. As he left the kitchen through the back door, he soon began walking toward the pavilion.
As he entered the pavilion, Rachel noticed him being that she was currently reading a book and she said with a warm smile,"Zane. I did expect you to still be up and about but not without Leo by your side.". "Yeah. He's like my little brother I've always wanted. I do love Ana though. He and Wolfram are currently fighting over me. I expected that to happen honestly. I was totally expecting the kids to fight with Leo for my affections honestly." said Zane.
Rachel sighed as she said,"Please focus Zane. I need to talk with you about something. I hope it isn't a bother.". "For you, nothing's a bother so what's up?" said Zane. He soon sat next to her with him noticing that instead of her typical sleep wear, she's wearing a rather thin purple nightgown and a pair of thin, rim-less glasses. She also had her hair in a ponytail being that Zane said,"So have you always worn glasses? I didn't expect you to be the scholarly type but you're rocking the sexy librarian look.".
He yawned with him putting his right arm around her. "I don't normally Zane but they help me focus and do you really think you should be doing that Mr. Boyfriend?" said Rachel, not trying to push Zane away. "I would but once you win, all of this will be behind us and we can move forward in our lives." said Zane. "I guess so. So I have to ask. How long have you know about me sneaking out past curfew to study tactics and practice my practice?" said Rachel.
Zane looked at her with him saying in a sarcastic tone,"What?! You broke curfew?! I'm shocked that royalty would do something like that.". "Be serious Zane." said Rachel. "Since the second day and I saw you and breakfast make out hard. I know that you want to start kissing things after we kissed but I don't think the eggs liked that. Heard that it's dating bacon but who really knows?" said Zane with Rachel blushing. "And here I thought I could hide this from you." said Rachel.
Zane shrugged as he said,"Nah. So what are you reading?". He looked at the book that was resting on her lap as he said,"Huh. I think my grandma wrote that one or maybe someone else. You thinking of a battle plan for tomorrow?". "Yeah. Do you mind looking at it?" said Rachel. "Sure but I'm not exactly the best at this kind of stuff. I'm more for rushing into battle without a plan and adapting to a situation when I need to." said Zane.
After Rachel finished telling Zane her plan, Zane said,"This plan is good Rae. I'm not just saying that because we're friends. You know how I tell people what they need to hear not what they want to hear so why are you worried?". "Because Zane. Even with all of this training plus Jordan and Leo's help tomorrow, we still have a snowball's chance in hell of winning. Do you know why fighting against Blaze is impossible?" said Rachel.
Zane cupped his chin as he said,"Because he sleeps with the judge?". "No. Blaze has twelve powerful devils by his side and our side has only nine members since you and Wolfram can't compete." said Rachel. "Uh huh. While that makes sense, I call bullshit. You guys have been busting your ass on this for the past couple of days. I mean I've barely seen you sleep anymore and I'm the guy who sleeps for an hour a day. You also have my amazing cooking to recharge you." said Zane.
He was trying to cheer her up being that she smiled but it was only for a moment. "Confidence is nice but in this case, it doesn't matter. We're up against a Ingram or the Salamander Clan." said Rachel. "I don't think that matter but why is the Cocky Gecko such a big deal? I should know the answer but honestly, I don't care. Nothing in the Omniverse is invincible. I'm not invincible and neither is the Cocky Gecko." said Zane.
Rachel sighed as she said,"Blaze and his clan have the ability to recover from any form of damage that was given to him using the flames of immortality. He's hard to even defeat because of that ability alone. How does ones win against those odds?". "That sounds bad but here's the thing. Even though he can recover from any damage, it still hurts. I mean if I was there, I would probably blast off his dick and watch him suffer in pain." said Zane.
Rachel giggled as she said,"That's true but...". She stopped herself as Zane looked straight in her eyes. He then gave her a hug being that she returned it. Rachel always enjoyed Zane's hug being that his body is a natural heater due to his powers and always gives her hope. "You're Rachel Powell, the most badass devil I've ever met in my life and I'm not forgetting about the ancestor of the devil race aka the Chirotirian who lives in me. You will win I promise! You're stronger than him." said Zane.
Zane looked at her as he said,"And here's a crazy idea. Once you win, you can infuse his wedding ring with acid and when he puts it on, he gets burned by the acid. It's a way to say fuck you without actually saying it. It'll be even more funny if we record it and post it online for the entire Omniverse to see. It will just ruin him even more than the acid did.". Rachel smiled as she said,"Thank you. I'm grateful for you giving me to chance to fight. Do you know why I was engaged to him?".
Zane sighed as he said in a half joking and half serious,"Because two members of your family are fucking awful plus the horny lizard has issues with his sexuality. What's your point?". Rachel pulled out of the hug with her saying,"It's because of politics.". She looked at Zane's face being that instead of his usually laid-back face, it was hardened. "So you were forced to marry that bastard because of freaking politics?!" said Zane, growling.
He was panting with him saying as his eye color was flickering between storm gray and red,"Those monsters. Not just Blaze, but your fucking family. Family is supposed to love and care for you, not sell you to the highest bidder!". He already didn't like Blaze and two members of Rachel's family to begin with because of how he forced Rachel to marry him and Rachel's older siblings treated her like trash but this crossed the line.
Rachel knew that Zane was getting angry with her saying to try and calm him down,"Zane. It's the truth. Everyone in Terrarune or to be more specifically the Supernatural District. They see me as just a member of the Akostar Clan. No one.....". She was stopped by a suddenly explosion being that she turned toward the nearby lake. It completely vanished being that she turned toward Zane whose arms were burning hot and covered with his signature flames.
She was used to Zane getting angry being that it was usually for others. She remembered how mad he got when Carlos treated Kristen like crap right in front of her and Kris. Before she could ask, Zane grabbed her chin and made sure that she was staring directly into his eyes. Rachel was lost in them being that they were molten gold which was normal for him as Zero but not Zane. "Listen to me Rachel. You are in no way in hell an object okay?!" said Zane.
Zane let her go as he said,"You're a person not a prize to be won. You're Rachel Angelise Powell, the woman who decided to be my best friend for some reason I'll never get it but whatever. Don't be down on yourself. You are not a mistake either! So stand up and fight against that overgrown candle and win against him. Show your family what you are. Show everyone in the Omniverse who you are! Do you understand Rachel?!".
Zane's words were making her blush and freeze up being that she knew that Zane was right and she was going to do just that to prove them wrong. "Zane. I...." said Rachel. "That overgrown candle stick likes you for your name and body alone?! That's just wrong. I didn't fall in love with you because of who your family is or how hot you are. You are part of my weird but amazing life. I just want to help you become an even amazing and beautiful woman who I love." said Zane.
He had calmed down with him sighing. "Plus it's hilarious at seeing rich people looking stupid. You are able to destroy things with just an ounce of your power. So what is Blaze going to do about that immense power of you? He can't touch you because you're........" said Zane. He was stopped by a hug from Rachel with her buxom chest pressed against Zane. His face went bright red being that he could tell that she wasn't wearing a bra.
She was also crying tears of joy as she said,"Thank you Zane. I thank you for being by my side and I'm grateful for this chance to fight.". Zane returned the hug with Rachel enjoying the closeness of hug. "You're welcome. I'll always be there for you. Got it?" said Zane. "I know. You have give me the confidence to say fuck you to Blaze and my older siblings." said Rachel. Zane remember what Gayle told him about her family and nodded.
Rachel said,"I'm sure you know that I've been called a mistake by my family and the rest of the devil species. I shouldn't think that but it's the truth until now. I'm going to prove them wrong being that you and the others will do that if we work together.". "I'm just happy that you're going to stand up to them because forcing you to marry a person that you don't like or even love. It seems so wrong to me though not all arrange marriages aren't bad." said Zane.
Rachel stood up and looked up at the sky. "This marriage was done because my sisters hate my guts and wanted to use me for their own selfish gain. Like I told you before, my duties to my family come first much to my dismay." said Rachel. "So do you hate it? And by the way, you look really beautiful right now." said Zane. Rachel smiled as she said,"Can't stop being a casanova for a minute can you?". "Not at all. I'm a honest person and can't turn it off." said Zane.
She soon hugged her own legs with her sitting down and Zane sat next to her. "I've never hated being born being that I had Ignacio there. He and Gayle were the only two people to see me as Rachel or Rae but the rest of the devils don't. I want to find someone who loves me for me and not because of my beautiful or my family. Blaze is one of those people. Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted to marry someone who loves me for me and not my family." said Rachel.
Zane stood up with him saying,"Rachel. I love you and I honestly don't care about you being the heiress to the Akostar clan. For your entire life, your sisters basically threw you under the bus because they were jealous of you. They abused you and to me, that's a terrible crime. You're a truly beautiful woman and I hope I can repay back the kindness and faith you've shown me for the past nine years we've been together.".
Rachel soon looked at him with a massive blush on her face. "What is it Rae? Did I say or doing something really stupid? I tend to speak in the moment and not think about it." said Zane. "Nope. You're a great guy. I'm lucky to have you by my side. You may not be there with us on the battlefield but we'll win together as a team." said Rachel. "I know that you've been practicing controlling your powers but could we try an idea of mine?" said Zane.
Rachel sighed as she said,"My powers are strong but I can't risk hurting my friends just because of Blaze teasing me. My powers like yours are connected to my emotions. However, our strength isn't define by our member's abilities but by our bond. Jordan and Leo are going to be good supports on the field of battle because they grew stronger to protect me just like you guys. Winning is only our opinion but we'll win!".
She had resolve in her eyes with Zane smiling. "And everyone calls you a failure. To me and the others, you're a powerful woman." said Zane. "You really think that don't you Zane?" said Rachel with Zane smiling. "Even if something happens, I know that all of you will do your very best and I'll fight for your honor. I got a super secret plan involving a new technique and powers and trust me, I'll make sure you're free plus I'll get to kick Blaze's ass." said Zane.
She soon hugged him being that his face went into her chest. "You don't lack confidence obviously being that you instead give confidence out to others instead. Before I met you, I wouldn't have the confidence to even fight my engagement. We should get some rest. Our body and minds have been working to their limits and I'm sure that our sadistic leader needs to be at his best." said Rachel. Zane smiled with the two sitting there, enjoying the moonlight together.
Yes, I may have repeated myself but you got my point. Rachel constantly doubt her self worth being that compared to her family, she has been called a mistake for half of her life at this point. Thanks to meeting Zane and making friends, she has a better self worth. I'm not the best at writing characters other than the main character but hopefully, Rachel's development is a step to write better. Lets gets back to the story.
The next morning, Zane and the others were eating being that Danny said,"Dude. I know that you're a sadist when it come to training but what about cooking? I want to learn how cook this good but I can only handle so much of your sadistic training.". "I'm only a sadist on the battlefield but on the kitchen and classroom, I'm a saint. I'll teach anyone who wants to learn after we win back Rae's freedom from the cocky gecko." said Zane, eating some bacon.
Allen said,"Care for one more student?". "Make that two." said Heidi. Gwen nodded as well as Zane said,"Sure. The more the merry.". Rachel looked at Zane with her saying,"So Zane, I have a question for you.". "If it's about the secret between the Alvarez family's hot chocolate, I ain't saying. My mom would kill me." said Zane. "She wouldn't kill you Zane but she would be disappointed in you." said Trixie. "That's honestly worst in my book grandma." said Zane.
Rachel sighed as she said,"It isn't that Zane whatsoever. Could you tell me about your new technique and do they involve those gauntlets? I mean I've never seen those gauntlets before you used them to block Bernice's initial attack but in the past week, I've seen them more and more. You didn't give up part of your life to gain them or something along those lines.". "Nope. I didn't sell my soul or give up a part myself plus I wouldn't deal with another Chirotirian/Devil because one is enough." said Zane.
Lucifer said,"Yeah. Despite Elysian being pretty empty, I don't think we could have another person living in here but I could be wrong.". His voice projected from Zane's right hand. "What he said." said Zane. "So is it possible for me to come back with you brother?" said Leo, currently sitting inside of a box. The group from Cypress Park was made aware of two things about Leo. I don't mind at all." said Zane. "Thank you!" said Leo, hugging Zane. He's also quite close to Zane, seeing Zane as a big brother figure much to Wolfram's jealous . "Calm down Leo. So could you show us your new gauntlets Zane?" said Jordan.
Zane nodded as he soon slammed his open palms together. The two gauntlets soon appeared with him saying,"They are both the Legionnaire Gauntlets and to be honest with you, I think they're one part of my potential.". He soon stood up with him saying,"It's time for one last bit of training. Follow me and don't worry, I'll be gentle with you Rachel.". He soon left the dining hall with the others going after him.
After a couple of minutes, everyone was standing outside in the front of the mansion with the game of Domination being tonight. Rachel was currently standing apart from the others with her seeing that Zane was wearing the Legionnaire Gauntlets. "For our finale to our training, we're going to see how far you've come Rachel." said Zane, watching her intently. "And how am I going to do that because I'm ready for anything!" said Rachel.
She learned something about Zane being that he loved torturing being that he not so clearly hid it by training. "You'll show us how many power you have. Don't hold back at all Rae. Unleash your full wrath." said Zane. "Huh? Why?" said Rachel. "I recall you making the sphere of death before we met Blaze. Do that again in our fight. I mean you're still holding back because you're scared of hurting us but don't worry." said Zane. "Why shouldn't I Zane?! You could......" said Rachel.
Zane soon slapped her with him taking a deep breath. "Don't you let your fear control you! You may be thinking that you're weak but in all reality, you're the strongest woman I know and I know a lot of strong women! Being scared is nothing to make fun of but you're strong enough to face your fears head on! If something happens, me and the others will save you! I promise so just do it okay Rae?! I love you!" shouted Zane.
The group there was quiet as Trixie giggled and she said,"Yep. You're an Alvarez alright. So bold and passionate. I remember Darin asking me out. Those were the days.". Rachel soon nodded as she said with her getting ready to fight,"Okay! You better not be lying to me!". "Nope. There isn't a shortcut to becoming stronger being that even as a god, you have to practice using that power so you can rule with an iron fist." said Zane. She was soon in the energy sphere with the spirals going everywhere.
Rachel looked down with her thinking,"What was that idiot thinking?! I can't do this!". She looked at Zane with him smiling at her. "I can't do this. I'm sorry." thought Rachel. She remember what she learned the past couple of days with her thinking,"I don't have anything good to think of!". She soon heard several voices,"Rachel!". She looked down to see everyone cheering for her. "You can easily control this power! You're a member of Team Maelstrom!" said Danny.
Allen said,"You're totally wasting your power Rae so hurry and master it!". "Don't worry. It isn't like you'll die or anything! Just go for it!" said Gwen. "I may have not known you for very long but you can do it since big bro believes in you so I will too!" said Leo. "Go Rachel!" shouted Heidi, Jordan, and Kevin. Zane nodded as he and the others soon shouted,"We believe in you Rachel so you can do it!".
Rachel looked at them with her thinking about all of her memories, involving her friends she's made while she's being on Earth. Zane's image soon appeared in front of her with his smile. Zane always brought her warmth, happiness, love, compassion, and even his natural drive to fight. He was her reason to get stronger. "I'll do it because they believe in me!" said Rachel. The sphere was under control with Rachel shouting,"I did it!".
The energy sphere soon released with Rachel falling to the ground. Zane caught her with him saying with a smile,"Told you that I save you Rae. You're going to be the reason why you're free from your engagement back! Just believe in yourself and your friends and we'll win. I should also add that you really should warn me next time you explode.". Rachel smiled as she said,"I bet that you have that problem more than I do.".
Zane soon chuckled as he said,"I won't admit to yes and no on that. So watch and learn.". He placed Rachel on the ground as he said,"Power up!". He soon made Legionnaire Gauntlets appear with Leo saying,"Is that your catchphrase big bro?". "Not really squirt. He has this one along with Learn your place." said Allen. He soon made a Zenith Sphere appear in his left gauntlet with Zane saying,"Lets make this even bigger!".
The sphere was growing even bigger being that it was easily reaching the size of a planet. Leo was in awe of Zane with Danny saying,"Yeah. I have a long way to go but I'll catch up to him.". "I can do this because of my training. You shouldn't keep this power bottled up. It isn't healthy in the slightest because it's just wrong. Sometimes, you have to let it go." said Zane. He remember seeing Rachel's tears and well, he didn't want that to happen. He knew that he couldn't fight Blaze now but soon.
If his friends lost which wasn't going to happen, he was going to prevent the marriage. "Zane. You do know why you refuse this marriage right? It's because you're a Akostar Cross Species and Rachel is your mate. You'll fight for her right but also let her be her own person." said Sivarth. "Right. I won't let that incestuous lizard have her. She doesn't belong to her." said Zane, speaking aloud for his entire team to hear.
Jordan looked at her new friends as she said,"So who do you think he is talking to?". "My bet is on Kane." said Danny. "No way. It's probably Sivarth. Those two seem really close to me even more than Kane and Zane despite them having similar names." said Kevin. Rachel looked at Zane being that to her, he was showing the reasons why he loved her. He cared for her, saw her for who she was, cooked for her and everyone, and always helped out people regardless of how they treated him.
He was willing to fight Blaze being that they were stopped several times. Zane soon fired the giant sphere being that it went across the training ground. It had gone straight through a mountain in the distance being that it had a giant "O" near the top of it with the tip falling off, turning the "O" into a "U" plus had a giant hole in it. "Ta-da. That's how much power I have. Okay. Ready to fight?" said Zane. The rest of the group nodded as they were ready to face Blaze and win

Jordan's Power Description and Personality:
She’s usually a happy, enthusiastic, charming, attractive, serene, level headed, and outgoing person being that if she doesn’t like, she’ll make it known. She’s very calm and collected. She can also be very stubborn and childish at times. She’s very polite toward others being that she treats everyone as a friend. She always works good with others being that she tries to be friendly whenever she can and the voice of reason. She’s seen as a nice girl but when it comes to something she cares about, she becomes a bad girl. She never doubt authority being that she’ll voice her doubts if needed too. She’s very good at gathering information. She tends to think things through and form plans before taking action. This does work against her when she overthinks things being that when she learned about Zane’s unique situation when it comes to his relationship, her head began smoking from thinking too hard. Like her parents, she’s a very devout person toward not just god but all of them. She enjoys singing being that she wants to be a singer while also being Zane’s sword as well being that she’ll be by his side forever. She also loves the ocean and going to a new ocean is always a fun time for her. She’s often being quite affectionate toward Zane or anyone that she considered to be a friend. She acts like a loyal pet toward Zane being that she shows strong emotions for Leo. She has a “small” fear of spiders being that she has a massive panic attack and goes into a frenzy, destroying everything in the area until someone calms her down. She believes that she can do anything that she sets her mind to. She has a strong fondness for cute things mainly animals such as when she met Wolfram and Leo being with the latter, she often dress as a girl given his habit for dressing like a girl. She also loves sweets, having a major sweet teeth even as a kid and she loves to shop. She hates making mistakes and with each mistakes, she blames herself for them. She’s very tolerant and she hates bigots but mainly remarks. She hates being called a bitch or anyone close to that being that she often blasts the person who says it with a powerful stream of fire. She also can’t act to save her life but thanks to her charms, they somehow fall for it. She doesn’t seem to notice her beauty being that she’s often uncomfortable when they flirt with her and blasts them with fire. She respect Zane for never giving up in the face of adversity and considers him a hard worker. She shows the most concern for her friends when they’re in trouble. She’s also able to read Zane’s thoughts by just looking at him and despite her liking Zane, she still insults him. She can survive fly for long period of time with no problem flying at high altitudes. Despite looking rather thin and petite, her body can survive tremendous impact forces, falls from great heights, high caliber bullets, and powerful energy bullets. She has supernatural strength being that she can carry 100+ ton objects with ease. She’s able to easily break bars off cell doors and drive her fingers into solid steel. She can run and move at speeds greater than even the finest human athlete. During combat, she can use fire to outpace her opponents being that she can maneuvered around her enemies. She has impressive agility and reflexes being that her agility, balance, coordination, and reflexes is much better than a normal human athlete. She can jump to incredible heights thanks to her powerful bodily muscles. She can survive a massive explosion without a single wound. She fights up close and personal with her constantly moving around her target creating a weapon if she needs to. She’s able to project beams of energy from her eyes, which is able to send a person a far distance away from her, a blast of energy which can hit multiple targets at once, a force field which is able to take a lot of damage before cracking, and sensing other forms of Impulse. She can also do this with fire. As an Phoenix, she has all of the common skills and powers of one exactly. She can manipulate fire that can cause severe damage to objects around her. She can create fire-based constructs such as a sword which she uses quite well. She’s able to communicate with different people from around the world without any form of language barrier. She’s also a very competent strategist being that she often takes detail notes of fighters and comes up with new ways for her and her friends to use their powers. She also helps Zane with his company, time spend with his loved ones, and schedule his appearances upon becoming famous. She has increased physical abilities such as superhuman stamina, strength, endurance, and speed. She’s able to focus her power into a form of magic which can be used for teleporting long distances, manipulating time only to a small degree, and creating a crack in anything. She can empower her and her allies with her singing being that the area around her is covered in pink light particles. She’s a skillful tactician and can use her wings for flight being that they’re capable of retracting into her backs. She’s also immortal. Despite her impressive durability, she can still be injured.
Leo's Power Description and Personality: He follows Zane around like a little brother. Thanks to his agoraphobia, he hides inside of a box or locker often. His mother, his older sister figure, and later Jordan often dressed up Leo like a girl which lead into his cross-dressing habitat. He’s a coward and a shut-in with him being the prime example of shy. He likes to wear female clothing, claiming that it’s cute being that he usually gets dragged away by the girls for clothes shopping. He loves places that can keep people away from him such as boxes being that he always has one on him. He gets overwhelmed in large groups. Over time thanks to Zane’s memory and Jordan’s support, he gained confidence and bravery. He will stand up for his friends when they’re made fun of or being insulted and has been called a man in these moments and cries a lot which is normal. He has great confidence in his power being that he only uses the magic and swordsmanship. He believes that having an identity is very important. He has his mother kind and gentle heart being that he could never kill someone except when someone hurts his family. He follows his father’s main role of life,”Someone who has a strong loyalty to really anything is stronger than someone who doesn’t. He hates those who he seems weak. The most common kind of weakness he hates the most is when he sees those who don’t try and improve themselves in order to protect what they care about.”. He’s the most close to Zane because he sees him as his best friend and role model. Ever since he saved him from those tengus, he has cared for him. He however isn’t one for blindly following Zane being that he’ll tell Zane that he’s an idiot or hit him really hard much to his dismay. He owes him a lot being that he finds him to be his savior ,exact like how Heidi sees Zane, always been by his side much to the jealousy of the other girls but he knows when to back off. He calls himself Zane’s shield being that the title isn’t a joke to him. When he’s angered, he turns into a bloodthirsty monster and different person much to the shock of those who just met him. He likes to be resting in a cardboard box or coffin. Upon getting angry or feeling that someone he cares about is going to get serious hurt, his skin turns black/gray, his sclera turns purple black, and his irises are a glowing red color. His look looks very deranged and deadly. He grows razor sharp claws and dragon like wings. He’s been called a monster in this state being that he has no self control unlike before. He also grows much bigger being that he’s about fifteen feet tall. His clothes grow to adjust his size. He’s a highly capable warrior, being able to fight against several trained soldiers of the Alliance at once. He showed this by slicing his way through an army and he remains confident in any battle regardless of him not knowing his opponent at all. He’s very fast being that he can slice his target before they can react and his speeds looks like he’s teleporting. He can create afterimages of himself. He has great durability and stamina being that he can fight for several days at a time with a serious wound. His fighting style is a mixture of magic, sword, and close combat. He’s able to throw people several times bigger than him. He has the special magic of stopping time around him being that the area can range from a few feet in front of him or an entire country with the latter being under stressed. He was able to understand all forms of magic, regardless of their origin. He can sprout four bat-like wings which originates from his bat like wings tattoo, being able to fly at incredible speed. He tends to use blue flames being that they can pack a serious punch. He’s able to make a copy of himself or for a combo. Thanks to his training from his parents, he’s a very powerful threat. His abilities make him very dangerous which making him one of the strongest members of Team Maelstrom. He’s very perceptive being able to see through most deceptions and react quickly. He’s good very good at both close and long range fighter. He’s very close to animals being that he can understand and communicate them for assistance. This is usefully for scouting and gather information. He can turn into animals. He’s very durable and his pain tolerance is high. His reflexes are high being that he learned how to do this. He has a higher chance of losing his cool depending on how much damage he takes. He’s very fast being that he can close a gap between two people and take their weapons from them before they figure it. He’s an expert of sneaking up on his opponents being a master of stealth. He’s an expert in the four core elements and he’s well known for his elemental control plus his special ability that he got from his father. He’s able to combine his elements to create a different element entirely. He’s able to generate heat from his body being that he uses it to create his fire based attacks and his attacks can easily get rid of any nearby water around her. He can also use this against humans being that it can turn them into mummies. His fire based attacks can easily scorch a large portion of a nearby forest. He’s able to create objects from the ground to use as a weapon. He can manipulate the air around him being that he tends to use it for defensive purposes. He can enhanced his attacks with lightning being that he can enhanced his other elemental attacks. He’s able to create things with it as well. He can transform parts of his body into weapons ranging from shields to protect himself or swords for piercing damage. He can use his fire based abilities to increase the damage of his attack or increase his damage. He can extend his limbs a far distance being that he can use this to continue his assault. He can also expand them. He also fights like a boxer and can see in the night. Thanks to his body, he can control bats, transform into a flock of them, and use them for reconnaissance. He can change parts of his bodies into them. He can turn himself into fog and drink blood. If he drinks a powerful being’s blood, his body grows much stronger. He’s able to regenerate any damage taken to him being that once he gets punches, the wound is healed. He can sense energy from others. He can also pause time around anything he sees being that it’s rather painful if he’s looking at something gross. He can create and control portals ,which are a blue color, that expand and retract according to him. They can absorb and reflect them back. He can use it to teleport as well. When he’s enraged, the aura around him changes to something deadly and demonic being scary. He becomes like a berserker in this state. In this state, he can grow multiple eyes. Thanks to him being a half vampire, he can survive in the sunlight unlike normal vampire but he tans awful. He also does fine in water. He gets dizzy when he uses too much of his power at once. In his berserker state, he can turn back to normal upon entering a large body of water. He has a fear of crowds, with him getting easily overwhelmed. He hates garlic and anything sour.
The hallway of the manor (ceiling, floors, and walls) are made out of timber. The apex of the ceiling were six meters from the ground. The wooded planked floors were covered in red carpet. It reached a meter short on each side of the hallways being that the hallways were about five meters wide and the carpet was about three meter wide. The walls were decorated with artistic tapestries depicting some kind of historic significance, the likeness of a Akostar ,with Sivarth trying to figure out if he's still alive or not, or even just a bouquet of flowers. On the walls, there was also weapon racks purely for decorative purposes. There was a line of spears here, two halberds crossing beneath a shield over there being that it went on like at certain intervals. The most interesting things were the hand carved mosaics of the wooden wall panels. They were depicting battles of the future according to Trixie and it wasn't the detail of the art that truly captivated the teens but how each figure was literally 3D. The hallways were lit with numerous chandeliers hanging from the roof. Each chandelier was bearing over seventy candles and lamps. Trixie told them that they naturally swap out the dead candles.
