A/N: I'm truly sorry for the lack of updates within the month of May and also June. I've been doing a lot of editing for Zero, had to rewrite this episode too many times in my opinion, a really bad case of writers block, and during May, I was in Finals weeks for school. Out of the reasons I've mentioned during these past two months, my focus was primarily on the latter. This blog is just a hobby of mine after all.
So after the massive rant I did for the Ben 10 vs Green Lantern Death Battle, I have a couple of things left to talk about hopefully. Who knows? I may have more but lets begin. I've mentioned the idea of representation. The proper representation is important to any media not just Death Battle. If you don't do a good job with it, people are going to bring this up. This fact is more apparent now a days. Just look at Endgame and don't worry. This isn't a spoiler I hope.
After one of the most financial movies of all times, I was honestly shocked that people would give this movie crap for not having a diverse ,sexuality primarily because it's easily racially diverse, cast of characters. I'm not against diversity in the slightest. Diversity is an extremely good thing but don't make the only thing that people will know about your characters. A character should be more than what their race, gender, or sexuality identity.
It should always be the character first rather than judging by what they identify as. One of the big problems I have with forcing diversity is with how they made Bobby Drake aka Iceman gay. Do note that Iceman was created in the 1960s aka 1963 being that gay rights/pride weren't really a thing I think. Don't quote me on that. Did you know that June was decided as Pride Month in 1969? I just found that interesting.
You know that I love leaving that kinda of stuff but lets get back on track here. Now Comic Drake did a great job on this topic way better than I ever could so check out this video. The reveal for him being gay was in Uncanny X-Men 600 which was released in 2015 but published in 2016. What I'm trying to say is that it's been fifty years after the character's first appearance way back in the 60s. Do note that this reveal was first done by the younger version of the main 616 Iceman.
It could be a different timeline now but my point is that it's a younger version of Iceman. I'm not against a character being revealed as gay at all but the reveal of this for this Iceman is just awful and terribly done in my opinion. The Jean Gray ,of the past, figured this secret out. It wasn't through subtle hints and clues that would be leading up to the big reveal throughout an arc in a manga or a couple of issues.
I love when an author does this being that once the reveal happens, you can see the clues and bread crumbles that lead to this reveal and I find that amazing. That would be a good way to do this but finding out that he's gay through reading the younger version of Iceman's mind. That's a major invasion of someone's privacy in the words of superheroes. In real life, this isn't possible or it is and the government doesn't want us to know about it. Insert conspiracy theory here.
Zane ,in Fairy Legion, does this all of the time but he doesn't care about their opinion since he's an immortal. I've mentioned this before but you kinda stop caring about things that you would mind as you get older. Personal opinion by the way. Zane ,in Zero, doesn't do this but he'll begin to change over time. To be fair, this Jean is still rather young and I would like to believe that she was doing this for the right intentions but how you did it is insulting to the character.
Again, this is just my opinion folks. Iceman is my favorite X-Men due to me liking his powers a lot and he's easily one of the most powerful X-Men in the history of Marvel. I don't think he's the most powerful mutant or X-Men but he's up there under the right writer. So does him being gay change my opinion on him? No it doesn't. I'll always like him because of his powers and personality. He's the comic relief and little brother.
Comic Drake explains how as a mutant, he was already targeted for that so being gay is like adding fuel to the already growing flame of persecution of mutant kind. I honestly like that little detail that he added because the Mutants ,in Marvel, can be used for any racial or sexuality group out there. In my opinion, you should be proud of who you are. It's one of the reason why I like the Okamas from One Piece since they're loud and proud and don't care what they think.
Bobby Drake ,of the future, wasn't ready to come out due to some very serious suppression. To me in particular, both Bobby Drake and Jean Grey ,of the past, forced him to change sexuality. I could be wrong about that but to me, it really felt like that. This change should have happened been done over time. I'll never hate gay characters or people because they should be allowed to have their opinions and express themselves in whatever way that they chose.
The reveal for this came from out of nowhere and in my opinion, there was no build up to it. The ending to Infinity War did this perfectly by playing on our expectations through the previous 10+ Marvel movies. Making Iceman gay is really forced representation done our through. The writer of this was Brian Micheal Bendis. He's part of the reason behind Miles Morales who had a pretty good movie last year and made me like the character a bit more.
However I still don't like the characters because even with some difference, he's still feels like to me a black Spider Man and nothing else. I know that sounds racist but honestly, there isn't that big of a difference between the two. To me, it's like Captain Falcon and Ganondorf, Dark Pit and Pit, and Dr. Mario and Mario. There is some difference between the two but it isn't enough to me. He also helped create Ironheart easily the worst Legacy Character fight me.
Comic Drake made two great videos on this topic so watch them. I'm a shill for other people's content. While I may not like Ironheart if she or Miles gets introduce to the MCU, they should make them have a character and not a Echo Fighter of their counterpart aka Iron Man and Spiderman. Also don't bully the actor who played the character. I've never been a fan of that kind of stuff. It happened with the Batwoman Trailer.
It looks like a normal CW show to me and shouldn't have gotten the backlash that it did. It's feminist but honestly, I don't care. I won't watch it but give it a chance rather than judging it by its trailer. It might be good or bad but you can't really judge something by its trailer. Like I mentioned before in this, Mutants and X-Men have always been a allegory for any group ,by races or sexual identity, so the Bobby Drake thing isn't a bad idea.
I honestly think that they should have done this huge and character changing reveal over time rather than just in a single chapter. It's to help people aka me so we can get slowly used to it. Anyway, this is all I have to say on the topic. Lets wrap things up. Representation isn't a bad thing at all but forcing representation instead of making good stories and characters is a really bad thing. The MCU may be going in this direction moving forward.
It's kinda a given Marvel's tendency to force representation. I could be very wrong about this but compared to DC at least from what I've seen, Marvel is all about that representation. I mean they did change the Ancient One ,Marvel, from male to female. They have done this a couple more times. I was okay with Ghost, Jeri Hogarth, and Morgan Stark changing gender because it didn't change my opinion on representation or on the character.
I mean Morgan Stark is Tony Stark's cousin in the comics and how often is Morgan brought up? I do have a problem, hanging Mar-Vell aka the first Captain Marvel into a women is representation going too far in my opinion. I haven't seen Captain Marvel and I don't plan on seeing it for a long time. I may watch it one day but I'm in no rush. Captain Marvel has never been a character that I've been interested in due to her being rather bland in my honest opinion.
I've seen the reviews for the movie and honestly, it really isn't appealing to me. It doesn't look bad or written terribly but until I see it, it's on the same level as Black Panther and Doctor Strange. They are not bad movies but just not for me. The company of Marvel is trying to make her the character that represents Marvel despite having Spider-Man who is easily one of the most famous characters in fiction but nope, you have to make it about representation and in the times.
Here's the thing. If they make these movies good with representation second to good characters and stories, I won't mind it too much. I'm sure other people will but it's just my opinion. If they just force representation over characters and stories, I will mind a lot and be a little negative about the whole thing. I'm also going to stop caring about the MCU after Far for Home to begin with. I may watch any movie that sounds interesting but to care this much after Spiderman, I'm not sure.
Anyway, lets finally begin Zero Episode 120. We'll be finally get the battle between two people who have been wanting to fight for a long time now. We may even see a character who I've been teasing since Zero Episode 92. Lets begin already.
Narrator P.O.V.
It was a normal Friday night in Cypress Park. Cypress Park may not be the capital of its home state of Florida but it's easily one if not the most technological advanced cities within the United States. This statement is mainly due to the company Champion Tech ,which is just a piece of the massive and famous Price Co, setting up shop there. Champion Tech may have a very bad reputation of being robbed every other day but that doesn't matter too much.
They still make projects that gets them a lot of money so they still keep their investors and title of being one of the most famous technology companies in the United States. It has a semi-rivalry with New York being that both locations has a good amount of skyscrapers. Everyone here in town is enjoying the peace that's the result of Legion Zero's fight on crime. The city has a really low crime rate of only 5%.
His friends did help on keeping the peace but most people in Cypress Park considered him to be the main reason for the very low crime rate. This includes his fellow heroes. Most of the townspeople are extremely grateful and thankful to Zero for this peace. They usually thank Zero when he flies by or just try to do their best to help him out everyday. There is a few people who hate Zero just because he's a Phantom and him being the main cause behind the destruction that plagues their city.
This small portion of townspeople are criminals who get arrested, defeated, and humiliated by Zero many times and some of the Cypress Park elite aka the toadies of Roland Gordon/Star. Currently on the highway that leads out of Cypress Park, there is a good amount of police cars chasing after a black and white armored car. Above them, there was a news helicopter ,belonging to Cypress Park Chronicles, capturing everything happening and broadcasting it.
The reporter inside of it was Lindsey Chambers. She's a very determined woman being that once she puts her mind to something, she refused to change her mind on it. She's often known for heading into danger just to get a piece of the action. She has a passion for the truth with her often seeing the good in many situations. She never takes sides in conflicts with her often listening to both sides before making her mind about it.
Lindsey is a Caucasian woman in her mid 20s. She has long blonde hair and green eyes. She's wearing a white dress shirt with an unbuttoned collar. Her chest is still covered by her dress shirt much to the shame of the young males who watch her just for her beauty. She wears a blue jacket with a black necktie. She wears gray pants with black high heeled shoes. She wears white pearl earrings. "We're live on the scene of a high-speed police pursuit of an armored car!" said Lindsey.
The armored car was currently speeding through the road. "It was stolen earlier today from the federal preserve in Cypress Park. It's believed that the thieves have two hostages being two scientist who are famous for their works in helping Metahumans adjust to society." said Lindsey. In front of the armored car, a large glacier of ice suddenly grew from the ground below. It worked as a speed bump and slashed the front left and right tire.
The car soon swerved out of control before stopping as the police cars stopped and surrounded the armored car from the front. The car door opened with one of the thieves came out with him holding a woman in one hand and a machine gun in the other. He held her in a threateningly manner. While the cops were focused on the first thief, the second thief came out of the second door. He was holding a weapon that looked like a fusion of a cannon and gun.
The weapon soon began sparkling with electricity and fired a beam of electricity straight at a police car, blowing it up and sending the cops scattering. The thief smirked cockily at his success as smoke piled through the air. As the smoke cleared, it revealed a living skeleton standing there and Lindsey instantly recognized it. "It's Legion Zero! He's currently in his Extinct Form!" said Lindsey. The thief looked behind him and saw Zane standing there.
The thief took a few steps and aimed his weapon at the skeleton being that before he could fire, the weapon was instantly sliced. The thief dropped it with him running off. Zane smiled as he said,"Do you think you can run for me? It's cute.". The thief was soon lifted up into the air as a huge glacier of ice appeared under the thief and trapping him inside. "Legion Zero has stopped another criminal once again!" said Lindsey.
Zane looked at the frozen thief as the smoke around him cleared behind him. The other thief stood there holding the hostage with Zane rolling his eyes. "Seriously? Do you honestly think I'm scared of you?" said Zane. The hostage looked confused as the thief holding her felt someone taping both of his shoulders. He spun around to see another Legion Zero standing there being instead of Extinct Form, it was Basilisk Form.
He soon crossed his arms with him tapping his foot patiently. "You heard my handsome friend over there. Give up." said Basilisk Form. The thief soon raised his hands up and gulped. "So did you free the other good doctor while I handle everything else?" said Zane. The two soon stood there as they watched the two thieves get put into squad cars with a pained look on their face. "I did and I kinda feel bad for the criminals. That female is ferocious." said Basilisk Form.
The two soon looked at the female scientist who was being held back by her fellow ,male, scientists being that after they surrender, she kicked both of them in the nuts hard. "Yeah but it's pretty funny to see it." said Zane. Basilisk Form shrugged as he said,"Whatever man. We better get going Prime.". Basilisk Form was gone as Zane waved to Lindsey above him before heading off in Orb Form. "And this is another reason why we love our hero! Thank you Legion Zero!" said Lindsey.
Meanwhile in Earth's orbit, the news report was being broadcast on the Indefatigable and was being shown on all of the monitors. "That damn brat is using the most powerful weapon in the Omniverse as a toy!" said an annoyed Basalt. Nearby his healing chamber, his head robot aka hypeman Booker and his head lackie Lidox stood there. Booker is a small drone, being about one foot tall. It's a golden color. His head is pyramid shape, with a silver visor.
He's currently floating in the air ,due to a hovering system, with him having two arms that each have five claw like fingers. Lidox is a very thin yet muscular skeletal humanoid alien. He's about six feet tall. He has pure gray skin with strange dark violet markings on his face. These markings are like a zebra's stripes. He has red eyes ,with purple eyelids, and pointed ,sharp to the touch, purple hair. He has a handlebar mustache that screamed that he was the bad guy.
Sticking out of his forehead, there is a giant antenna that's glowing red. He's wearing a black robe over his body with golden clasps and silver straps over it. He's wearing a long sleeved white dress shirt under his robe and black pants. He's wearing brown pointed dress shoes. He wears elaborate white gauntlet like gloves with red and silver switches on them. It's releasing violet colored flames and looked to be constant.
He was levitate in the air just like Booker but was using his alien abilities to achieve this. He's able to fire bolt of violet energy at opponents. "So do you want me to send down more Betas and possible a Goliath?" said Booker. "No." said Basalt. The healing chamber soon opened, releasing tons of steam everywhere. As it opened, a small bug like robot crawled out. Before it could get too far, it soon got crushed by a giant armored foot and the entire area around it was soon covered in magma.
As the steam slowly cleared, it revealed a shadowed humanoid being that its lava like eyes stick out among the steam. "I'll handle himself myself. It's finally time for the two of us to face off. Lidox. You know what to do right?" said the figure. "You got it boss. We just got the new robots and well, I think you got this in the bag." said Lidox. The figure smiled as it got ready for its fight with Legion Zero over the Z.E.R.O. watch.
However, there was someone else currently watching the video feed as well. Back in Cypress Park or more specifically at Northshore retirement home, a man was sitting in a bed being that this man didn't exactly look like he fit the normal clientele of the place at all. It was obvious so how did he get in here is the million dollar and one question isn't it? He looked to be six foot three, looking to be in his early 20s, and very handsome.
He has a lean yet very well defined build and respectably muscular build. He has fair skin. If he wasn't sitting in bed, he would normally be standing with a slouch and his hands currently in his pockets. He has very sharp facial features aka a slender nose and an angular face, pointed ears, and sharp fangs that looked to be made out of steel rather enamel. He has spiky yet somehow wavy dark blue hair ,with a long white streak, and green eyes with black pupils and sclera.
He has a long and stitched up ,in the shape of a cross, scar that's in the center of his chest. He's wearing a black and white striped prisoner uniform aka a striped shirt and striped pants. It's slightly torn, showing off his chest and scar. He has a silver metal cuff on both of his ankles with two large metallic balls ,made out of steel, attached to the metal cuffs using a metallic chain. He has a long beard which looked like he never shaved it once.
He's also a silver talisman that says,”Star” in Kanji. "This is a sweet life. Haven't found a good place to crash since I broke out of that hell. Kinda feel bad for that clown guy and his troop. Girl was pretty cute but she was probably playing with the clown's balloon animals." said the man, yawning. He soon saw Zane ,in Primate Form, fighting against the trio of Crash, Mystic, and Titan while dodging Agent Phoenix.
He soon had a serious expression on his face with him saying,"I honestly thought I would never see you alive again Master. I mean you may not be the original but heck, the Prime Counterpart is just as awesome you were.". He soon got up from the bed with him saying,"I told myself that I was going to stay away from the madness but it keeps drawing me back.". He soon walked over to the door and left the room with determination.
The next morning, Zane shot up in his bed with him shouting out,"Aah!". He sat back down with him soon panting heavily. He was sweating a bit and his bedroom door opened, causing him to flinch. As the door completely opened, it revealed Rachel with her looking concerned. "You alright honey? Did you have another nightmare Zane?" said Rachel. She sat down next to him with her placing his head on her chest. "Yeah so why is my head on your chest?" said Zane.
Rachel smiled as she said,"According to my sister in law, this is how she calms down my brother so I thought it would work on you. I also know you're against this so these nightmares involves Basalt right?". "Yeah. I also have some nightmares involving Skull Plague but lately, they've been about him." said Zane. "Don't worry. I'm sure you can defeat him if he comes to Earth, seeking revenge on you in the morning. So why don't we make some breakfast?" said Rachel.
Zane smiled as he said,"You'll be wearing that right?". "Yes honey. I know you just love that so much and to be fair, I like it too." said Rachel. The two kissed with them slowly leaving the room. They went into the kitchen. "You sit down and I'll make breakfast. It's going to be pancakes and bacon. so just relax." said Rachel, forcing him to the couch. "I will but the dream. It felt so real. He's coming for me and I need to be ready." said Zane under his breath.
Just as Zane was about to relax, he soon felt his head being louder than normal. He grabbed it and he soon closed his eyes to get rid of the pain. Despite his eyes being closed, he saw a giant silhouette of a humanoid creature. Instead of being Basalt or Skull Plague, it reminded him of Fallout. "Help me get him back Zane!" said the creature. Zane soon opened his eyes with him looking down at his right hand. It was shaking like nothing else.
He soon heard a familiar woof with him turning to see Sly ,in her snake form, and Wolfram with the Akostar saying,"You alright Zane? You look stressed.". "Just have a headache and the shakes. Guess skipping meals isn't a good thing. So how was his walk today?" said Zane as the dog jumped into Zane's lap, licking his owner's face. "Fine. I still can't believe how much energy this guy has. He's never tired." said Sly, flying next to Zane.
Wolfram barked as Zane said,"Yep. You're a hyper one alright but I'm sure that nothing will keep you from being the life of the party. So Rae is making bacon and pancakes. Did....". Upon hearing the word pancakes, Wolfram rushed into the kitchen as Sly sighed. "Should have mentioned pancakes last Zane. You know how he and the trio act around them." said Sly. "Yeah but I'm just happy that they're eating." said Zane.
Sly nodded with Zane getting another glimpse of Fallout with him holding his head in pain. The vision was gone before Sly could comment on Zane's pain. "Breakfast! And hurry! Wolfram is eating all of them!" said Rachel. "Well, you heard the lady." said Zane. "You really like her around here don't you?" said Sly in a teasing tone. "Yeah and thanks for keeping Wolfram away during the night partner. We need our alone time." said Zane. "You're welcome." said Sly.
Later that day, Zane was currently sitting inside of Midnight Bird being that the plane was currently flying around the country on autopilot. He leaned back in his chair with Twilight popping out of his chest. "So tell me why you haven't told your dad about the vision involving his old friend who has been Skull Plague's puppet for years?" said Twilight. "I would have but remember what my mom and him do Saturdays since he got back." said Zane.
Cole's voice said,"Yeah. I mean I know your mom isn't your typical female but she really loves to shop for parts rather than clothes.". Zane nodded as Twilight said,"But still.". "I sent him a text and to call me when he gets a chance." said Zane, looking out the window. He noticed that the plane had flown him to somewhere in South Dakota given the prairie landscape below and the herd of buffalo. "You can be so lazy sometimes. So when are you going to work on that?" said Twilight.
She pointed Zane to a laptop that was sitting on a table that sprouted from the plane. "When I figure out why I agreed to help Hannah. I mean she and I are mortal enemies right?" said Zane. "You two are but you're dating her best friend and you're pals with her boyfriend. They asked you for your help being that it won't take you that long." said Sivarth. "True. I should at least make this interesting." said Zane.
Athena said,"Zane. I think by now, I know you pretty well and you should really not mess with things that don't belong to you.". "Yeah but where's the fun in that plus she won't know I did anything to it so lets do this." said Zane. Meanwhile above Earth, Booker and Lidox were looking at a monitor showing a map of Earth. "So when should you tell the master about us being unable to find the Z.E.R.O. watch at the moment? We should have been able to track him if he uses it but we can't." said Booker.
The alien looked right at the robot with him saying,"Okay but why should I? I don't want to piss him off being that right now, he's going to erupt on me. I mean you and I both see how the ground around him is melted.". "Correct Lidox. However, you need to tell the boss this due to one reason. You lost rock, paper, and lances earlier." said Booker. "Seriously?! That's your reason?!" said Lidox. "Yes. So what is the plan that you and the boss came with up earlier? He's in his pod right?" said Booker.
Lidox nodded as he soon typed something on the computer's monitor in front of him. The robot soon saw Zane ,in and out of several different forms (Brawn Form in its upgraded form, Diamond Form, Dragonfly Form, and Swift Form), saving people or fighting criminals. "I've devise a plan to draw out our prey. Heroes can't ignore a cry for help so I've sent a little warm up for our prey to keep him busy and our boss is part of that plan." said Lidox.
Booker soon nodded as he said,"So what are we going to do? I doubt we're going to focus all of our attention on just Zero.". "We'll be taking care of the outsiders so that our boss and Zero can have their fight without any problems at all." said Lidox. Back on the Midnight Bird, the laptop soon made a strange noise with the screen going dark. It soon had a black background with a crimson red dot in the center of the screen.
It also had six crimson red circuitry like patterns etched over the background. "Yep. This did seem much funner in my head than it was. I mean no else beside us is around here." said the laptop being that Zane ,in Gadget Form, is currently taking over Hannah's laptop. "So aren't you worried about getting cooties and isn't this Hannah's private property?" said Cole. "I think the proper term is viruses in this case and he's right Zane." said Athena.
The laptop soon had the same color scheme as the laptop being that the keyboard was crimson red. It soon sprouted four pointed legs, similar to a spider. "Oh wow. She keeps her diary on here. I bet she wouldn't want me to read through it." said Zane. Athena sighed as Cole said,"To be fair, we could always transform him back.". "I know but this is helping him with his whole vision things plus I wonder what she talks about." said Athena.
Zane said, "Let me see. She mentions me and David a lot being that one person gets mentioned in a good way and the other one......". "Save me Zero!" said a voice inside of Zane's head. Zane soon left the computer with him going back to normal. Zane looked down at his right hand with it soon glowing black as Kane said,"So why did you switch back to normal?". "I don't know. I heard a voice in my head and it wasn't one I know. So it's my conscious or something like that?" said Zane.
Lucifer said,"Honestly Zane, I have no idea.". Zane slumped his shoulders as he sighed loudly. "I think I just need a nap. Athena, mind taking us back to Cypress? Wake me up if anything goes wrong okay?" said Zane. "No problem." said Athena. Zane soon sat back down in the pilot seat with him deciding to take a nap. As Zane took his nap, Lidox's plan went into action. Just as the Midnight Bird flew out of South Dakota, the Indefatigable arrived on the outskirts of Wayside, Missouri.
This town was straight in the middle of Cypress Park and Mount Rushmore. It was mostly quiet with no cars on the road and grassy fields surrounding the area. The buffalo that were grazing there soon looked up to the ship's massive ship looming over them with them scattering away in fear. The sheer force of it created a huge gust of wind. A compartment opened up on the bottom of the spaceship being that several Betas ,a bit larger than normal, soon came flying out of it.
They soon head toward Wayside being that the Betas weren't the only thing to come out of the space ship. A giant spiked metal sphere joined them being that it soon dropped down from the ship and it crashed into the ground below, creating a small earthquake. The sphere soon started to roll at high speeds and it crushed the "Welcome to Wayside" sign as it and its robotic allies entered the town who was unaware about what was going to happen.
The Midnight Bird continued on its path to Cypress Park with Zane awake. He had woken up not because of a loud and annoying migraine and vision combo but something else. He looked out the window to see several plumes of smoke billowing from the nearby city. "So what's going on over there Athena? I'm really doubt that there is a smoke signal contest going on there." said Zane. "I'm not sure Zane. I can't seem to pick up on the local broadcast signal." said Athena.
Inside of Wayside, the civilians ran for their lives as the Betas were firing laser beams, destroying several cars and causing chaos where they floated. The giant ball rolled through several buildings and demolishing them with ease. One of the Betas soon fired at a nearby gas tank, causing the whole building to explode and made a massive mushroom cloud that loomed over the city being that Zane didn't need super vision to see that.
Zane soon smiled as he said with a smirk,"Guess it's time to power up!". "That won't be happen at all Zane." said a voice. Zane turned to see Parker standing there on the dashboard of the jet with the teen blinking. "So why are you here? And what are you talking about?" said Zane. "I came here because you and I need to leave now." said Parker. Zane soon stepped away from the elder Eazairvian with him saying,"Sorry but that isn't an opinion right now. People are in danger.".
Parker sighed as he said,"Zane. Your life is danger if you go. This is the handwork of Lidox, the master strategist to Basalt.". "Wait. Are you serious Parker?" said Zane. "Yes. I've studied his handiwork after he decided to attack my ship with the Zenith Core. You're not ready for Basalt yet and I won't let you go." said Parker. "Well Parker, this is where I have to disagree. I can't sit here or run away when I know for a fact that people are in danger and need my help! I'm a hero after all." said Zane.
Parker looked at Zane being that in the past two years, Parker knew Zane well. He is someone who will always help someone in need regardless of the situations. It's how Zane got his city to have such a low crime rate being that the crime could be stopping a petty robber to fight a giant sea turtle. Zane will do it regardless of his health at the time. "Fine but Zane. Promise me that you'll be careful." said Parker with him refusing to fight the stubborn Cross-Species on this.
Zane smiled as the Midnight Bird stopped. It soon shapeshifted as an opening hatch open up with Athena saying,"I hate to interrupt but a Beta is heading this way!". "Got it! Thanks Parker! You're an awesome godfather so watch me kick some ass!" said Zane. He soon jumped through the opening hatch with it closing up behind him. Parker sighed as he said,"That fool. He's really like his father and no matter what, I can't stop him.".
Zane ,who transformed into Legion Zero, was heading toward the Beta with him smiling. He soon turned into Quantum Form with him firing a beam of dark green energy right at the Beta, destroying it upon contact. "That's one down. Only a lot of them to go. This is going to be a lot of work but protecting the people is more important." said Zane, with him soon increasing his speed toward the city.
In the middle of Wayside, the entire city was covered in Betas and they were destroying everything in their sights. They had been given an upgrade. All of them were still a black color with red crack-like lines that are glowing black, red, and light orange just like lava. Their shape was now more bug like with them losing their square shape. They have a large sensor in the front of their body being that it's the giant red eye from before.
They do lose the skull and crossbones face alongside crack-like lines. The Betas also sensors on its side and back but much smaller than before. They have four gray spider like legs sticking out from the sides of them beneath the side sensors. They had several gray cannons sticking out of their bodies and firing red lasers at anything in their sights. By doing this action, the people of Wayside were running for their lives.
Five Betas were about to blast some civilians but just as they were about to fire, they were destroyed by several balls of lightning. Zane ,in Kitsune Form, landed on the ground with him releasing a wave of fire upon contact with the ground. Several Betas were caught in the wave of fire and exploded in the spot. The ones who didn't got destroyed by rings of fire coming from Zane's sword. "So how about instead of picking on these poor people, fight someone with real firepower!" said Zane.
Sivarth groaned as Azalea said,"To be fair. This is one of his good puns.". "Yeah but his puns are still annoying and bad." said Sivarth. Several Betas soon surrounded him from all sides being that they were just staring at him. "Oh no. I'm completely surrounded. Whatever will I do? Oh I know. It's smashing time!" said Zane. He changed from the samurai fox into a giant dinosaur like creature. He's twelve feet tall with rough looking dark red scales for skin.
His body looks to be very muscular with noticeable silver metal plating over his parts of his arms, back, chest, parts of his legs, shoulders, and parts of his tail. His arms and legs are very bulky, showing how strong this dino really is. His underside is grayish tan. He has a single protruding horn sticking out of his head. It sticks out of his very thick and wild white hair that goes down to his shoulders. He has two red eyes.
He has five toed sauroid like feet and hands with five triangle-shaped gray claws. His finger joints and knee caps bulge out. He has a massive and thick ,as a tree, lizard like tail with four silver blade like appendages. He wears a modern style caveman like outfit. He wears black ,with a tiger like stripe pattern, pants with gray fingerless gloves. His pants have a skull shaped belt. Over his body, he has black stripes that cover his entire body that glows upon using his powers.
He has two dark green cannons ,with silver interiors, which are mounted on his shoulders. "Dinosaur Form!" roared Zane. If the robots could feel fear, they would be scared right about now. His stripes glowed being that he fired a flurry of cannonballs from his cannon shoulders. They destroyed the robots upon coming in contact with them. Zane grew in size ,being 50 feet tall, and grabbing a handful of them, smashing them by just gripping them.
He soon began spinning around with him turning himself into a living tornado. This isn't one of his normal powers by the way. Zane was smashing his way through the Betas by either hitting them with his massive body or energy blasts coming from his shoulder cannons. The Betas tried to blast him with lasers but they were destroyed. They didn't even have a chance to fire them due to the dinosaur tornado and Zane stopped spinning.
Zane smirked with him saying,"And that's the end of that.". Crisis Judgement went off being that a electrical net soon captured him and shocked him. Zane soon sent flying toward a nearby building and he saw that he was pinned to a building with blue electricity that were connected to ten metal rods. "So I'm pinned. Really hope there is a bowling ball around here to complete this joke." said Zane with him trying to break out of it.
He soon saw an incredibly large, spiked ball heading toward him with the hero saying,"Thank you Omniverse for making this joke possible.". Zane soon noticed that it had the exact same color scheme as the Betas meaning that they were connected in some way. The ball soon stopped rolling about two yards away from Zane. The center of it soon opened up with steam pouting out of it and Zane coughed a bit. "Jesus! It's a steam shower inside of there." said Zane, coughing.
The ball soon split apart into two semi-spheres with a silver, horizontal tube in between them. "So what's going on?" said Kane. Zane noticed a door with a red light on it being that the door opened up and steam pouring out from it as well. "Great. More steam just my luck." said Zane. Once it was opened, a large, muscular silhouette was seen. The first thing Zane noticed was the ominous, black eyes with red/orange/yellow irises. It was like living lava/magma.
The creature looked at Zane with an intimidating glare being that it soon emerged from the machine with each step breaking and then melting the pavement and cause minor earthquake. When the steam finally cleared, the creature stood there with the utmost clarity. It's Basalt who changed. He's now 16 feet tall. He had a bulky and hulking frame with him looking slightly hunched over. He has dark red skin with blacken patches of burned flesh on the right side of his face.
This revealing his gums and impressive dental work. His head is completely bald and has pointy elf like ears. This was hidden thanks to his armor. He's wearing blackish red armor which looks both practical and fashionable. He wears a black sleeveless shirt with blackish red armored spiked shoulder pads and fingerless gauntlets. In the center of shirt, he has a volcano which is his symbol for conquest. His muscular arms are revealed, showing lava like veins across his arms.
He wears black pants with blackish-red armored boots. He wears a blackish-red armored helmet with a v-shaped opening for his face. It showed his menacing eyes being that if he wants, he can have a skull-like mask covering his face. His hands are five claw appendages being that his right hand can transform into a cannon. The front of said cannon looked like a pointed star. "You're Basalt aren't you? Okay don't get offended but man, you're one ugly son of a bitch." said Zane.
Basalt looked at the dinosaur with him laughing. "Your mouth is something to behold. If I were a lesser being, I would have been offended by your little comment but I'm here to eliminate the thing that had been given me so much trouble this past month!" said Basalt. "Oh wow. I'm going to enjoy breaking you. So as my hands down most ugly bad guy, what is like losing several times to just some teen from an Earth of all places?" said Zane.
He broke the spokes of his prison by smashing them against his massive tail. Zane charged right toward a stunned Basalt and grasped his hands together. He slammed his hands right into the alien with the impact causing Basalt to skid back. Before he could do anything, Zane grew to be fifty feet tall and threw the alien into an office building. This shocked the people inside being that the dictator crashed his way through several more buildings in a row.
Zane cracked his neck with him saying,"Okay. I was honestly expecting a little more from the being who was rumored to have conquered hundreds of planets.". "Don't get cocky brat." said Parker. He was talking with Zane on the same signal as Athena and Cole. Zane soon looked around and he said with a smile,"I know that Parker. I mean we're just getting start since I've used only a taste of my strength and he's doing the same hopefully.".
Basalt soon landed in a heap of rubble with building debris on top of him. He soon blasted the rubble off with two streams of magma, appearing relatively unharmed. "He isn't weak so that's good." said Basalt. He soon looked to see Zane ,being fifty feet tall, charging right toward him being that Basalt soon rearing back his arms and head. He soon released two powerful streams of magma toward the street in front of him.
The intense heat from the flames melted the blacktop from the street into a thick, black liquid. Zane saw this with him deactivating Dinosaur Form and began jumping into the air above him. "Colossal Zenith Sphere!" said Zane, throwing the massive orb ,being Mojo, down on Basalt. Basalt caught the sphere with him saying,"Is that the best you got boy?". "No. Zenith Sphere Wave!" said Zane's voice. Basalt was soon blasted into the tar pit by a black mojo energy beam.
Basalt soon looked up to see another Zane standing there. The two Zane soon merged into one with him smirking. "So is that the best you got hothead?" said Zane. "Not at all boy. You're much stronger than the Zeroes I've seen and fall to that freak who has a identity crisis." said Basalt. "Thanks for the compliment. I'll feel kinda bad about doing this but not too much." said Zane, cracking his knuckles and Basalt chuckled. "I agree." said Basalt, rising from the lava.
Just outside of the city, an RV was currently heading toward the city being that the cars around it was going away from the city. This RV is primarily black with two horizontal crimson red stripes across the side of the RV over a rusted looking bottom. It has a giant chainsaw shaped symbol painted on the sides of the building. It has tacky looking fuzzy dice hanging in the windows. The driver was the prison from the retirement home with him saying,"I have to find Zero before its too late!".
As he continued to drive, his eyes widened as he looked up. He saw Zero's plane floating above him with him saying,"Oh. I found him. That was easy.". He soon entered the city with him seeing Basalt and Zane standing there. "Looks like you're ready for round two and I got just the form for the..." said Zane. Before he could finish his sentence, an RV stopped in front of him and the door opened. The prisoner stood there with him saying,"Sup. Nice to meet you Zero.".
Zane blinked with him saying in a nonchalant tone,"And who are you? I mean you're a prisoner who stole this impressive looking RV aren't you? I may be busy with the armored giant over there but I'm great at doing multi tasking.". "I'm here to help you so get in my RV. We can't let anyone get hurt in your fight with Basalt." said the man. "You're right so drive fast." said Zane, entering the RV with the man smiling.
The RV soon hit the gas and sped away from the scene. "So you decided to pick a fight with Basalt. I should be shocked but my master is just like you. He often charged into battle against those mutated monsters without any fear. He was awesome." said the man. "Okay. So who are you? I mean you saved me and headed into danger without fear yourself." said Zane. The man sighed as he said,"My name is Orphic. Know the name?".
Zane blinked for a moment with him saying,"Wait. You were in that prison underneath Dark Haven aren't you?". "Yep. I was stuck in there since the 2010s. I mean I was done there for almost five years just because I was fighting against the Odium Society mainly that skull and his groupies. Don't hate the race but I hate that group." said Orphic. "Hold on. You know about the Odium Society and Skull Plague so who are you?" said Zane.
Suddenly, a sudden explosion from behind them pushed the RV slightly forward with Zane catching himself. He soon looked behind him to see a large group of Betas ,being twenty of them, with Zane saying,"We got company and not the friendly kind.". "Hold on. I'm going fast!" said Orphic. He soon dodged laser fire from the robots being that they kept up their pursuit and fired at the RV. The street around the RV were destroyed by the lasers.
Zane said while moving back and forth,"Hate to be a backseat driver but I'm kinda getting bored of them making us do what they want.". "Yeah but do you know how hard it was to get the technology to make this RV badass? I mean I had to steal so much crap from Champion Tech just to make it. I shouldn't be telling you this but hey, it's good to talk. Get it off your chest." said Orphic as a laser hit the street next to them. "So do this thing have auto pilot?" said Zane.
The RV was jerking him around as Orphic said,"Yep. Why? Is it time to fight back?". Zane nodded with him saying,"Yeah. You're a fighter right?". "Yep. Lets go." said Orphic. The man soon climbed his way onto the roof with Zane phasing his way through the roof. The two stood on top of the RV with Zane transforming into a new form. He's twelve feet tall with a slender yet muscular figure. He looks to be a black humanoid shark with his chest and the underside of his arms and legs being a white color.
In the center of his chest, he has an orange hazardous waste symbol. His hammerhead shark like head is turned upside down with tousled dark purple hair and four gold eyes. All four of his eyes glow in the dark. His mouth is filled with serrated yet sharp teeth. He has five long and sharp claws with these claws being sharp enough to cut their way through steel. He has green hazardous waste container staring from the middle of his neck to the end of his tail.
He has two torpedo-shaped fins on the side of his arms and these fins have notches in them. He has gills on his neck. His body has several scar like features carved into them. He has a long reptile-like tail with the end of it having a plume of fire covering it and the tip of it is a black spiked ball. He has two large leather jet like wings coming out of his back. These two wings don't interfere with his back fins. He wears a loose fitting two toned light and dark green sleeveless kimono shirt.
There is a large red robe looking belt tied around his waist. He wears navy blue pants and black calf-length shinobi sandals. He wears black armored pauldrons that go down to his arms and his hands are covered in black fingerless gloves. "Dreadnought Form! So what can you do? I don't see a weapon on you." said Zane. "Just fly and keep them distracted. You can even destroy a couple if you really want. I'll handle the rest." said Orphic. Zane nodded with him soon heading into the air.
He soon dodged some laser blasts with him firing out two fireballs in front of him. They destroyed some of the robots with him slicing through a couple of them. He soon smacked a couple of them toward Orphic with the man smiling. Orphic jumped toward them with him making a hammer appear. It was made out of a liquid like substance, remind Zane of blood. He soon hit the Betas right into the ground being right behind the RV, exploding.
Zane released a giant burst of flames from his mouth, engulfing the robots around him. He soon flew over to Orphic with Zane saying,"So you can make blood constructs?". "Yep. I'm pretty awesome like you." said Orphic. The two fistbumped with Crisis Judgement going on. Zane pushed Orphic as Basalt ,who came from out of nowhere, tackled Zane. "Zero!" said Orphic, heading back into the RV and drove after the two.
Basalt hanged onto Zane's tail with the alien saying,"Give me the watch.". "Yeah. That won't be happening!" said Zane, expelling his flames right onto Basalt. This had no effect on him with Zane saying,"Just my luck. You're fireproof. Time for plan B.". Zane swapped into a new form with this this form causing Basalt to fall back down to the ground. This new form is eight feet tall just like Ram Form and Swamp Form.
His body looks humanoid being that his body is constantly producing puffs of black smoke. He has a muscular build. His skin is rather pale with his face looking rather healthy. He has medium-length dark purple hair and pure gray eyes. He sports a pair of goggles over his eyes being dark blue-framed glasses with silver lenses. He wears a gas mask that covers the lower half of his face. He wears a black hoodie which he has opened, revealing his blue muscle shirt and dark gray jeans.
He wears brown leather gloves and large military-issue brown leather boots. "Smoke Form!" said Zane as he saw Basalt heading back toward him using magma to elevate himself into the air. He soon tried to grab Zane but just as he was going to make contact, Zane turned into black smoke and Basalt went right through him. "You're stubborn I'll give you that." said Zane. As Basalt crashed into the ground, the RV stopped nearby the crater.
Orphic walked out being that before he could attack the alien, the alien jumped toward Zane with the smoke being chasing him through the city. "Son of a..." said Orphic. Zane didn't need to look behind him to see that Basalt was not too far behind him. He's using the rooftops ,being that every time he took a step, the structured cracked and crumbled under his weight and also burn it a tad, to keep up with Zane.
Upon reaching the end of the most recent building, Basalt soon jumped up and grabbed onto Zane with the smoke creature unable to escape the grip at the moment. Before Zane could do anything about him, the two soon crashed through a building. It created a large explosion on impact that destroyed the upper portion of it, landing in the demolish street behind it. As the smoke cleared, a unharmed Basalt looked at his hand.
Zane had slipped through his grasp once again as he saw black smoke all around him. "I grow tired of this chase. I'm not that damn hunter." said Basalt. He soon had his left hand glow red with him soon releasing magma. The smoke cleared as Zane soon reformed and Basalt aimed his cannon arm at Zane. "Lets see if that idiot was right with this upgrade." said Basalt. He soon fired a gold beam at Zane being that Zane dodged the beam. However the beam just barely hit Zane's left leg.
This caused him to deactivated Smoke Form, leaving him in his costume. "Okay. You have a way to change me back but that isn't going to stop me." said Zane. He was about to fight back but he was unable to move a muscle. Basalt soon grabbed Zane being that he soon looked for the Z.E.R.O. watch. "Where is it boy?! It's on you!" said Basalt. "Should I really answer the guy who has been trying to kill me?" said Zane.
Basalt ignored Zane with him touching Zane's left gauntlet. It soon released a large feedback of energy, sending Basalt into a building with Zane landing on the ground. "Okay. Ouch but hey I'm free and still unable to move." said Zane. Basalt instantly recovered and approach Zane. "It seems that Parker made it so that no one other than you and him are able to touch the watch." said Basalt. Zane soon tried to move being that he was grabbed by his robe.
Zane said,"Sorry Basalt but how about you let me go before you get hit?". "I heard that in times of terror, you humans make jokes." said Basalt as the spiked ball-shaped vehicle soon began rolled up toward the two of them. Zane focused with him turning intangible and Basalt glared at Zane. "Stay solid!" said Basalt. "Sorry but no. So why did you need the watch anyway? I mean you're already so strong and infamous for conquering hundred of planets." said Zane.
Basalt said,"You hold the tool that will give me enough power to take down anyone in places and you use to help people.". Zane rolled his eyes with him saying,"Oh let me guess magma breath. If you had the watch, you would use it to make some kind of army that's completely under your control to rule the entire Omniverse under your molten grip.". The alien blinked as Zane said,"And I've gotten you frazzled so how accurate was I?".
Basalt shook his head with him saying,"You did not frazzle me. You just got lucky with your guess but all that stands between me and my conquest is you.". "Yeah and thanks for letting me get close to you. Sweet Gong!" said Zane, slamming his head into Basalt. The alien dropped Zane with the hero soon transforming into Radiation Form. It had changed thanks to the Zenith Core. This form had a massive change.
Unlike with the new version of Water Form thanks to the Zenith Core, both the armor and the being inside of the armor fuse together to create a singular being. He’s now twelve feet tall. He now has the appearance of a yellow humanoid figure inside of a gray metallic armored suit with a glowing green outline around him. His head is roughly triangular shape being that his mouth is like a jack-o-lantern with several sharp edges aka his teeth.
His green eyes are now more noticeable with their glow being brighter. His head is encapsulated within a transparent glass helmet attached firmly to the collar of his suit. His armor has five fingers and toes. His left arm is in the shape of a cannon which is connected to his left shoulder thanks to a gray cord and the end of his blaster arm has a green circular area surrounded by four spikes. His armor has various black lines with each line paralleling the joints on his body.
The most noticeable line is a vertical stripe in the center of his chest and waist. His stomach area has five glowing green grills. He wears black boots and gloves with green lines on the side of the boots and gloves with them connected to the green circle on his palms and soles. He fired a giant blast of radiation right at Basalt, sending him flying backwards. He recovered with Zane saying in the form's thick Russian accent,"Sorry but you're not getting my watch at all!".
Basalt soon charged at Zane with the armor wearing form making a Zenith Sphere appear in his hands ,being made out of radiation, and threw it toward Basalt. Upon contact with the orb, the alien was caught in a massive explosion and was unable to see. As the explosion cleared, Basalt saw that Zane was gone. The Maferno growled in frustration and blasted a nearby car with a large stream of fire, melting the car below it.
He took a deep breath with his spiked ball vehicle appearing next to him. "Fine. If he wants to play that game, I'll bring him to me." said Basalt. He soon got inside of the sphere and started typing things on the computer system in there. The door soon closed with him hearing,"So how did the fight go for you boss?". Basalt growled loudly with him saying,"What do you think? Did you accomplish Plan B or not Lidox?".
Lidox chuckled with him saying,"I sure did. Like I told you earlier, this Zero is more connected to people than all Zeroes before him. All of them are located in Cypress Park and I've sent the Upsilons to collect them.". "Good." said Basalt. The ball soon rolled away, destroying another building in the process. It was quiet in the ruined city with Orphic's RV appearing shortly. Orphic stuck his head out as he said,"He's gone now Zero.".
Zane ,still in Radiation Form, exited the RV with him saying,"Thanks. Did not expect the RV to have a cloaking system like that.". "Well, I did steal a lot from Champion Tech. So why didn't you catch me if you knew about my crimes?" said Orphic. "Because Champion Tech gets robbed every other day plus I'm only one person and you wouldn't using this vehicle for evil. So do you think I'm a fool for fighting Basalt like that?" said Zane.
Before Orphic could answer, the two heard,"Of course you are but you did better than I thought that you would.". The Midnight Bird appeared above them with Parker soon appearing on Zane's shoulder and Orphic said,"Hey Zero. You got something on your shoulder.". "Parker. Did you want me to just ignore the cries of people in danger?" said Zane. "Yes! I don't want you to get yourself killed just to protect one person!" shouted Parker.
Zane looked at the elder Eazairvian with him sighing. "You're right but I won't die. You made the Z.E.R.O. Watch in order to protect me and control my powers. I won't die I promise." said Zane with Parker sighing. "Fine. So why is he crying? And who is he?" said Parker. Zane soon looked at Orphic who was crying like crazy. "His name is Orphic Parker and the reason why he's crying like nothing else. I don't know." said Zane.
Orphic looked away with him saying,"I'm not crying! I just have something in my eyes! That's it I swear!". Parker and Zane ,deactivating Radiation Form, looked at each other with the two saying in unison,"Yeah right.". Zane soon returned Midnight Bird from his pocket dimension with him saying to Orphic,"So how do you know Skull Plague Orphic?". "Because that bastard destroyed my home dimension." said Orphic with a serious look on his face.
Parker looked at the man with him saying,"And why did you decided to help Zero here? You had no reason to right?". "Sorry booger but that's where you wrong. Back in my dimension, I was trained in being a badass by Zero's counterpart who went by the name Zack. Me and him fought countless plants and gardeners together." said Orphic. "Look Orphic. I know that you want to tell me your life story and I'll be glad to hear it after we talk about Basalt." said Zane.
Orphic nodded with him saying,"So what has Orphic done? I've only heard rumors about him before seeing him today.". "He's destroyed many galaxies and planets just to prove how strong he is. He has wanted the ultimate weapon aka the Z.E.R.O. watch in order to achieve complete control over the Omniverse." said Parker. "Then our plan is simple." said Zane. The two looked at Zane with the hero saying,"We fight him but not by ourselves. It would be stupid to go in alone.".
Orphic smiled with him saying,"Well, you got my support! I should mentioned that my name isn't really Orphic. The folks in the Alliance and Odium Society only call me that. The name is Efren Valentine.". The two shook hands with Parker saying,"And while it's nice to know your name, who is our support?". "My team/friends in Cypress Park plus some others. You know the old saying, strength in numbers." said Zane. The two Eazairvian got in the RV and Orphic drove off.
Zane ,while in the passenger seat, looked around the RV with him saying,"Wow. This is a pretty sweet RV Efren.". "Thanks but it's all due to your weird tech form." said Efren. The interior of the RV was now a command center with monitors, computers, and weapons. "No problem. So where is that magma spitting bastard Parker?" said Zane. The slime was tracking him with him saying,"Zane. We are about to reach him but well...".
Efren and Zane looked at Parker who said,"Look at the monitor.". The two looked at the monitor with Zane's eyes widened. "Efren." said Zane. "Got it Cap!" said Efren, pushing down the gas pedal. The RV soon stopped outside of the Alvarez home with Efren and Parker standing there. Zane was back in Radiation Form with him looking at his seemingly normal home. Zane took a deep breath with him reaching for the door handle.
Just as he was about to open the door, it soon creaked a bit. "Okay. I know my dad sometimes leave the door unlocked but......" said Zane. He soon saw the inside of the house with him in complete shock. The whole entryway was dark with the living room completely destroyed. There were holes in the walls being various sizes along with massive cracks and holes with burns around. All of the windows were smashed. "What the hell happened here?" said Zane.
He along with Efren and Parker entered the room. "So got any ideas to what happened here?" said Efren. "I have an idea but it isn't a good one." said Parker. Zane was visibly trembling with him saying,"No. He didn't.". The trio soon looked around the living room with a shine coming from the wrecked coffee table. Zane went over and dug through the rubble, picking up something. It was a silver disk with a button on the top of it. "Got any idea what this is?" said Zane.
Efren shrugged with him saying,"No clue.". "Press the button on the top." said Parker. Zane nodded his head as he followed Parker's order. A small hologram of Lidox appeared. "Hello there Legion Zero. As you can see, your family is no longer here. Neither is your family by the way. My boss just wanted to get to know you better but you decided to be a little brat. Bring us the Z.E.R.O. watch to this Mount Rushmore. If you decided to ignore me..." said Lidox.
The screen soon showed a large. metal circular room. Several Betas ,being the upgraded versions but smaller than the ones that Zane fought earlier, hovered around the perimeter alongside some more advanced looking robots. They're humanoid with that their design reminded Zane of soldiers. They're about 8 feet tall. Their bodies are a solid brown color with a singular red eye in the center of its head. It has red crack-lines protruding their eye. They have gray SS-styled helmets.
Their uniforms are black jumpsuits that cover their bodies with silver belts. Some of the robots had a large machine gun for an left arm or having a giant blade protruding from their forearms. Zane was ignoring the robots around the room with him looking at the person in the center of the room. "It can't be." said Zane. "It is Zane." said Parker. "Um who is he?" said Efren. "You know all too well don't you Zero? It's Fallout!" said Lidox.
Fallout aka Nate Freeman had changed in the past two years for the worst in Zane's opinion. He has taupe colored hair which goes past his shoulders and to his waist. His eyes were open, revealing that they were gold/red. His skin is now pure white with his face being heavily scarred, looking like wrinkles. He's wearing a purple high-collared short sleeve jacket with the right sleeve missing. He wears black jeans with a thick brown belt and a white form-fitting muscle shirt under his jacket.
He wears armor plating on his lower and upper arms and legs. He wears a white skull like mask with a red mushroom cloud like design over it. It has two eye-holes that exposes his eyes and his mask exposing his mouth and hair. He was hooked up to a big, ring-like machine that was suspended in the air. His legs and arm are restrained in green energy beams. "I'll let him go and cause a nuclear fallout on your precious Cypress Park so be here before I get bored." said Lidox.

With Zane's friends and family captured by Basalt and his minions, what will he do? How did Basalt get Fallout? Is he still under the control of Skull Plague? What were those robots that were with the Betas? This and more next time on Zero!
New Cards/Forms:
Dinosaur Form. This card has a black frame with a dinosaur like creature standing in the center of the card roaring with a jungle like background. When Zane places this card inside, he becomes a large humanoid dinosaur like creature.
Dreadnought Form. This card has a black frame with a shark like creature standing there in the center of the card with a flame coming from a nuclear container behind him. When Zane places this card inside, he becomes a creature whose power can destroy an entire army.
Smoke Form. This card has a black frame with a living puff of smoke in the center of the card being that it seems to originate from a miniature chimney coming from the east, north, south, and west point of the smoke creature. When Zane places this card inside, Zane becomes living smoke.
He soon dodged some laser blasts with him firing out two fireballs in front of him. They destroyed some of the robots with him slicing through a couple of them. He soon smacked a couple of them toward Orphic with the man smiling. Orphic jumped toward them with him making a hammer appear. It was made out of a liquid like substance, remind Zane of blood. He soon hit the Betas right into the ground being right behind the RV, exploding.
Zane released a giant burst of flames from his mouth, engulfing the robots around him. He soon flew over to Orphic with Zane saying,"So you can make blood constructs?". "Yep. I'm pretty awesome like you." said Orphic. The two fistbumped with Crisis Judgement going on. Zane pushed Orphic as Basalt ,who came from out of nowhere, tackled Zane. "Zero!" said Orphic, heading back into the RV and drove after the two.
Basalt hanged onto Zane's tail with the alien saying,"Give me the watch.". "Yeah. That won't be happening!" said Zane, expelling his flames right onto Basalt. This had no effect on him with Zane saying,"Just my luck. You're fireproof. Time for plan B.". Zane swapped into a new form with this this form causing Basalt to fall back down to the ground. This new form is eight feet tall just like Ram Form and Swamp Form.
His body looks humanoid being that his body is constantly producing puffs of black smoke. He has a muscular build. His skin is rather pale with his face looking rather healthy. He has medium-length dark purple hair and pure gray eyes. He sports a pair of goggles over his eyes being dark blue-framed glasses with silver lenses. He wears a gas mask that covers the lower half of his face. He wears a black hoodie which he has opened, revealing his blue muscle shirt and dark gray jeans.
He wears brown leather gloves and large military-issue brown leather boots. "Smoke Form!" said Zane as he saw Basalt heading back toward him using magma to elevate himself into the air. He soon tried to grab Zane but just as he was going to make contact, Zane turned into black smoke and Basalt went right through him. "You're stubborn I'll give you that." said Zane. As Basalt crashed into the ground, the RV stopped nearby the crater.
Orphic walked out being that before he could attack the alien, the alien jumped toward Zane with the smoke being chasing him through the city. "Son of a..." said Orphic. Zane didn't need to look behind him to see that Basalt was not too far behind him. He's using the rooftops ,being that every time he took a step, the structured cracked and crumbled under his weight and also burn it a tad, to keep up with Zane.
Upon reaching the end of the most recent building, Basalt soon jumped up and grabbed onto Zane with the smoke creature unable to escape the grip at the moment. Before Zane could do anything about him, the two soon crashed through a building. It created a large explosion on impact that destroyed the upper portion of it, landing in the demolish street behind it. As the smoke cleared, a unharmed Basalt looked at his hand.
Zane had slipped through his grasp once again as he saw black smoke all around him. "I grow tired of this chase. I'm not that damn hunter." said Basalt. He soon had his left hand glow red with him soon releasing magma. The smoke cleared as Zane soon reformed and Basalt aimed his cannon arm at Zane. "Lets see if that idiot was right with this upgrade." said Basalt. He soon fired a gold beam at Zane being that Zane dodged the beam. However the beam just barely hit Zane's left leg.
This caused him to deactivated Smoke Form, leaving him in his costume. "Okay. You have a way to change me back but that isn't going to stop me." said Zane. He was about to fight back but he was unable to move a muscle. Basalt soon grabbed Zane being that he soon looked for the Z.E.R.O. watch. "Where is it boy?! It's on you!" said Basalt. "Should I really answer the guy who has been trying to kill me?" said Zane.
Basalt ignored Zane with him touching Zane's left gauntlet. It soon released a large feedback of energy, sending Basalt into a building with Zane landing on the ground. "Okay. Ouch but hey I'm free and still unable to move." said Zane. Basalt instantly recovered and approach Zane. "It seems that Parker made it so that no one other than you and him are able to touch the watch." said Basalt. Zane soon tried to move being that he was grabbed by his robe.
Zane said,"Sorry Basalt but how about you let me go before you get hit?". "I heard that in times of terror, you humans make jokes." said Basalt as the spiked ball-shaped vehicle soon began rolled up toward the two of them. Zane focused with him turning intangible and Basalt glared at Zane. "Stay solid!" said Basalt. "Sorry but no. So why did you need the watch anyway? I mean you're already so strong and infamous for conquering hundred of planets." said Zane.
Basalt said,"You hold the tool that will give me enough power to take down anyone in places and you use to help people.". Zane rolled his eyes with him saying,"Oh let me guess magma breath. If you had the watch, you would use it to make some kind of army that's completely under your control to rule the entire Omniverse under your molten grip.". The alien blinked as Zane said,"And I've gotten you frazzled so how accurate was I?".
Basalt shook his head with him saying,"You did not frazzle me. You just got lucky with your guess but all that stands between me and my conquest is you.". "Yeah and thanks for letting me get close to you. Sweet Gong!" said Zane, slamming his head into Basalt. The alien dropped Zane with the hero soon transforming into Radiation Form. It had changed thanks to the Zenith Core. This form had a massive change.
Unlike with the new version of Water Form thanks to the Zenith Core, both the armor and the being inside of the armor fuse together to create a singular being. He’s now twelve feet tall. He now has the appearance of a yellow humanoid figure inside of a gray metallic armored suit with a glowing green outline around him. His head is roughly triangular shape being that his mouth is like a jack-o-lantern with several sharp edges aka his teeth.
His green eyes are now more noticeable with their glow being brighter. His head is encapsulated within a transparent glass helmet attached firmly to the collar of his suit. His armor has five fingers and toes. His left arm is in the shape of a cannon which is connected to his left shoulder thanks to a gray cord and the end of his blaster arm has a green circular area surrounded by four spikes. His armor has various black lines with each line paralleling the joints on his body.
The most noticeable line is a vertical stripe in the center of his chest and waist. His stomach area has five glowing green grills. He wears black boots and gloves with green lines on the side of the boots and gloves with them connected to the green circle on his palms and soles. He fired a giant blast of radiation right at Basalt, sending him flying backwards. He recovered with Zane saying in the form's thick Russian accent,"Sorry but you're not getting my watch at all!".
Basalt soon charged at Zane with the armor wearing form making a Zenith Sphere appear in his hands ,being made out of radiation, and threw it toward Basalt. Upon contact with the orb, the alien was caught in a massive explosion and was unable to see. As the explosion cleared, Basalt saw that Zane was gone. The Maferno growled in frustration and blasted a nearby car with a large stream of fire, melting the car below it.
He took a deep breath with his spiked ball vehicle appearing next to him. "Fine. If he wants to play that game, I'll bring him to me." said Basalt. He soon got inside of the sphere and started typing things on the computer system in there. The door soon closed with him hearing,"So how did the fight go for you boss?". Basalt growled loudly with him saying,"What do you think? Did you accomplish Plan B or not Lidox?".
Lidox chuckled with him saying,"I sure did. Like I told you earlier, this Zero is more connected to people than all Zeroes before him. All of them are located in Cypress Park and I've sent the Upsilons to collect them.". "Good." said Basalt. The ball soon rolled away, destroying another building in the process. It was quiet in the ruined city with Orphic's RV appearing shortly. Orphic stuck his head out as he said,"He's gone now Zero.".
Zane ,still in Radiation Form, exited the RV with him saying,"Thanks. Did not expect the RV to have a cloaking system like that.". "Well, I did steal a lot from Champion Tech. So why didn't you catch me if you knew about my crimes?" said Orphic. "Because Champion Tech gets robbed every other day plus I'm only one person and you wouldn't using this vehicle for evil. So do you think I'm a fool for fighting Basalt like that?" said Zane.
Before Orphic could answer, the two heard,"Of course you are but you did better than I thought that you would.". The Midnight Bird appeared above them with Parker soon appearing on Zane's shoulder and Orphic said,"Hey Zero. You got something on your shoulder.". "Parker. Did you want me to just ignore the cries of people in danger?" said Zane. "Yes! I don't want you to get yourself killed just to protect one person!" shouted Parker.
Zane looked at the elder Eazairvian with him sighing. "You're right but I won't die. You made the Z.E.R.O. Watch in order to protect me and control my powers. I won't die I promise." said Zane with Parker sighing. "Fine. So why is he crying? And who is he?" said Parker. Zane soon looked at Orphic who was crying like crazy. "His name is Orphic Parker and the reason why he's crying like nothing else. I don't know." said Zane.
Orphic looked away with him saying,"I'm not crying! I just have something in my eyes! That's it I swear!". Parker and Zane ,deactivating Radiation Form, looked at each other with the two saying in unison,"Yeah right.". Zane soon returned Midnight Bird from his pocket dimension with him saying to Orphic,"So how do you know Skull Plague Orphic?". "Because that bastard destroyed my home dimension." said Orphic with a serious look on his face.
Parker looked at the man with him saying,"And why did you decided to help Zero here? You had no reason to right?". "Sorry booger but that's where you wrong. Back in my dimension, I was trained in being a badass by Zero's counterpart who went by the name Zack. Me and him fought countless plants and gardeners together." said Orphic. "Look Orphic. I know that you want to tell me your life story and I'll be glad to hear it after we talk about Basalt." said Zane.
Orphic nodded with him saying,"So what has Orphic done? I've only heard rumors about him before seeing him today.". "He's destroyed many galaxies and planets just to prove how strong he is. He has wanted the ultimate weapon aka the Z.E.R.O. watch in order to achieve complete control over the Omniverse." said Parker. "Then our plan is simple." said Zane. The two looked at Zane with the hero saying,"We fight him but not by ourselves. It would be stupid to go in alone.".
Orphic smiled with him saying,"Well, you got my support! I should mentioned that my name isn't really Orphic. The folks in the Alliance and Odium Society only call me that. The name is Efren Valentine.". The two shook hands with Parker saying,"And while it's nice to know your name, who is our support?". "My team/friends in Cypress Park plus some others. You know the old saying, strength in numbers." said Zane. The two Eazairvian got in the RV and Orphic drove off.
Zane ,while in the passenger seat, looked around the RV with him saying,"Wow. This is a pretty sweet RV Efren.". "Thanks but it's all due to your weird tech form." said Efren. The interior of the RV was now a command center with monitors, computers, and weapons. "No problem. So where is that magma spitting bastard Parker?" said Zane. The slime was tracking him with him saying,"Zane. We are about to reach him but well...".
Efren and Zane looked at Parker who said,"Look at the monitor.". The two looked at the monitor with Zane's eyes widened. "Efren." said Zane. "Got it Cap!" said Efren, pushing down the gas pedal. The RV soon stopped outside of the Alvarez home with Efren and Parker standing there. Zane was back in Radiation Form with him looking at his seemingly normal home. Zane took a deep breath with him reaching for the door handle.
Just as he was about to open the door, it soon creaked a bit. "Okay. I know my dad sometimes leave the door unlocked but......" said Zane. He soon saw the inside of the house with him in complete shock. The whole entryway was dark with the living room completely destroyed. There were holes in the walls being various sizes along with massive cracks and holes with burns around. All of the windows were smashed. "What the hell happened here?" said Zane.
He along with Efren and Parker entered the room. "So got any ideas to what happened here?" said Efren. "I have an idea but it isn't a good one." said Parker. Zane was visibly trembling with him saying,"No. He didn't.". The trio soon looked around the living room with a shine coming from the wrecked coffee table. Zane went over and dug through the rubble, picking up something. It was a silver disk with a button on the top of it. "Got any idea what this is?" said Zane.
Efren shrugged with him saying,"No clue.". "Press the button on the top." said Parker. Zane nodded his head as he followed Parker's order. A small hologram of Lidox appeared. "Hello there Legion Zero. As you can see, your family is no longer here. Neither is your family by the way. My boss just wanted to get to know you better but you decided to be a little brat. Bring us the Z.E.R.O. watch to this Mount Rushmore. If you decided to ignore me..." said Lidox.
The screen soon showed a large. metal circular room. Several Betas ,being the upgraded versions but smaller than the ones that Zane fought earlier, hovered around the perimeter alongside some more advanced looking robots. They're humanoid with that their design reminded Zane of soldiers. They're about 8 feet tall. Their bodies are a solid brown color with a singular red eye in the center of its head. It has red crack-lines protruding their eye. They have gray SS-styled helmets.
Their uniforms are black jumpsuits that cover their bodies with silver belts. Some of the robots had a large machine gun for an left arm or having a giant blade protruding from their forearms.
