A/N: This episode has a very interesting origin because I've done this episode three times. I decided to just make Episode 84 because I didn't feel any of the three parts. I like re-reading old episodes and well, it's better than how Soul become. Too many plot conveniences and Natsu ,not from Fairy Tail, is too overpowered and that's saying something compared to the overpowered Zane. You'll see what I mean by that soon enough.
I love Zero being that it's the predecessor to my truly original series many years down the road. I'm not sure when this story will happen but I'm sure that it'll happen. Just a quick reminder. Zane is the only one who can hear and talk Athena, Cole, Kane, and Sivarth in his head. However, it doesn't look like he's talking to them on the outside. This is to make sure that normal people don't think that Zane or Legion Zero is crazy.
However, Zane can allow others to hear the quartet but he only does this when he's working with others. I'm not sure that if that will change in the future, I could be wrong about this. We'll just have to wait and see. This episode will be showing off a group that belongs to the Odium Society but their actions can be seen as ones that belong to a member of the Odium Society. We'll also be seeing more of the Odium Society. We'll also meet some old and new people of the Omniverse.
They've all have grown in terms of their appearance but what about their personality. It's an obvious answer but I felt like saying it because I would have written it in the Next Time section. We'll also see more of Zane's new and nurtured skills. We only saw a little of Zane's talent with his sword/really big knife and Dragonfly Form. He's also more faster than before, able to use Crisis Judgement and all of its abilities better than before, and so much more. Lets begin.
Also all of Zane's forms ,now have on the same black robe that Zane wears in his costume. This even applies to forms that wear Clothing such as Radiation and Specter Form being that it applies to it and if they have something on their shoulder, it doesn't mess with it. I should mention that Liger Form's belt buckle is Zane's superhero logo being that it's the most current one so expect that to change if I ever introduce a new logo.
Narrator P.O.V.
In the Alvarez backyard, father and son were currently in a sparring match before dinner. Atem ,who was in his mummy form, looked for his father being that he was moving really fast. He soon blocked Zane's Axe Kick as the teen was in the first level of Archon Zero. "Well done Atem. Your senses are more heighten." said Zane as he jumped back. "Thanks dad! Uncle Lucius helped me train my senses because you're really fast!" said Atem.
Zane jumped back as he turned into Detective Form. He soon made a light staff with him rushing toward Atem. The young mummy stretched out his bandages to evade Zane's attack and he reformed with him growing in size. He soon went to punch Zane but the form soon made a barrier of light. The punch was blocked as Zane said,"Atem. I'm really proud of you but this match is over.". Atem was confused but Zane was soon gone.
Atem looked for Zane as he heard,"Time to see the light!". Atem was soon trapped in a net of light and Atem couldn't break out. He sighed as he turned back to his human guise. "Dang it! I thought I was going to win this time! I blocked your kick." said Atem. Zane reappeared as he undid the light net around his son. "Sorry squirt but when you blocked my initial strike, I had to make sure that you couldn't land another attack." said Zane.
He turned back to his normal self as Atem sat back up. "Man. You got really strong dad. So are you going out on patrol? Tomorrow is your first day back at school." said Atem. "Yeah. Legion Zero has to stretch his legs. I'll stay for dinner though. It smells really good." said Zane. "Sweet! Aunt Ana is cooking and she's really good dad. I'm happy that you're not selfish like Kevin was." said Atem. "So how is Kevin? Danny texted me that he hasn't been annoying so I'm not sure." said Zane.
Atem said,"Well, I think he's been doing good. He isn't being a showboat according to Aunt Rachel so that's a good thing. He's also not being like he was before from what I could tell.". "That's good I think. I'll see what Kevin's been up to soon so what's for dinner?" said Zane. "I'm thinking we have pasta." said Atem. "Neat. Lets go." said Zane. "Could we go through the house?" said Atem with the puppy dog eyes. Zane smiled as the two went through the house.
In an unknown location, a woman's voice said,"Computer. Play File: 19-6-Z-19-LZ.". A monitor soon appeared lighting up a dark room. The monitor soon showed Vicky and Zane ,both of them were in their costume, fighting each other above and through Cypress Park. It also looked to be before Spiro's attempt at takeover in Cypress Park since Vicky had her suit taken away from her after that event and Zane was in his third costume.
While Zane was charging toward Vicky with both fists glowing with Nether, the voice said,"Stop and analyze.". The image paused as several graphs and boxes appeared around Zane. The voice belonged to Lilith and she was crossing her arms in annoyance. She looked to be the exact same as she did two years ago except older. Thanks to makeup and her being a Cross-Species, she ages very slowly and will look nice for a long time. "Now Computer, dissect the data." said Lilith.
A second monitor soon appeared nearby the first one as Lilith said,"Computer. Play File: 19-8-J-18-LZ". This monitor soon showed Zane ,in his most current costume, currently evading attacks from both Crash and Occult Master. "Stop and analyze. Computer. Play File:109-MK-78." said Lilith. A third monitor appeared as it showed Zane ,in costume, flying toward something. Both of his fists were covered by steel gray Nether boxing gloves. "Stop and analyze." said Lilith.
Lilith did this two more times as she looked at all five monitors and said,"So what's the answer now computer?". All five monitors soon showed a loading bar before turning into a static background as a female voice said,"Sorry but you've only collected indeterminate data on subject Legion Zero which means that cloning cannot be done unless you have the DNA sample of when he goes from human to Zero also known as the Midway Point.".
Lilith sighed as she heard,"It seems that even with the equipment that we gave to the girl, we're unable to figure out how Zane is so much powerful than a normal Zero.". She turned to see Rocco Sloan standing there. He had changed thanks the Odium Society. His eyes were now slits being that they were closed shut but when he does open them, his eyes are bright red. His black hair was cut ,by a lot in his opinion, being that it was swept back except for a few strands hung in front of his face.
His forehead had small flesh-colored horns on his head. He's wearing a white coat that went up to his waist and it looked brand new. The lining of the jacket looks to be a gold color. Despite it being a new jacket, it had holes in the back of the jacket. These holes were for his four spider like pincers that were sticking out of his jacket and they were slowly moving up and down. The sleeves were long than normal ,being bell sleeves, and they were hiding his hands.
He still wears his cybernetic chest plate being that it was completely covering the upper half of his body. He's wearing black and white hakama instead of his jeans. He's wearing brown sandals and also his gauntlets. He was currently holding a metal staff being that it's a few inches taller than. It looks to be a mixture of a normal staff and trident. "You forgot that Vicky's suit only monitored him for maybe two months before she lost it." said Lilith.
Rocco said,"And with his power, he's able to detect any camera we happen to set up. We both need his DNA Lilith so how do we get it. We have the Odium Society's full roster of villains to keep Zane busy so we can obtain his DNA at this so called Midway Point.". Lilith snapped her fingers as a different part of the room that there were in lit up. There were four test tube like objects as they slowly opened up. The room was covered in smoke as three Phantoms soon stood there.
Each Phantom was different from the last being that the farthest one on the left had a build that was very much like Frankenstein Form except with a lot less scars. It's only clothing were black torn jeans, it had a glowing green mohawk, and a black collar with the number 98 on it. This is Franken Specter and he's the ninth eight one. The right most Phantom had a glowing green aura around it and it's currently wearing a bed sheet. This is Sheet Bones.
The last Phantom looked to be a pixie with it covering in an glowing green glow. This is one of the Pixies which are a group of pixie like phantoms. "You three know what to do right?" said Lilith. "Yes mother." said the three. They were soon gone as Rocco said with him looking at her,"Really? You're going to use them. We have those three in stock since they were our first attempts at cloning Zane and unlike the real deal, they can only use Nether and other Phantom abilities.".
Lilith said,"They'll keep Zane busy while you send your pack to collect Zane up once he's all tired from fighting my children. It's nice to be called mother by the things you make Rocco. You and I will be soon getting what I want from our friend. See you later at the meeting Rocco.". "Okay. What about the mistake?" said Rocco. "She matters not. We can handle her." said Lilith. The man was soon gone as Lilith went back to her screens.
The next morning, Zane was looking at himself in the mirror. He was wearing the same outfit that he wore in EP 82. "Okay. I'm returning back to Cypress High after being gone for almost two years. I've been up against monsters and really ugly son of bitches. So why in the Omniverse/Nine realms am I scared of going back to high school?" said Zane. He shook his head as he said,"Don't worry. It's not like before. I'm stronger than I was before so lets face the day like a man.".
He soon walked downstairs as Kane said,"So about that little speech earlier Zane, that wasn't you going crazy right kid? I rather not have a crazy partner.". "Ha ha. I'm just worried. I mean look at everything that's changed in the time I've been gone." said Zane. "It's honestly not that much. You have been back for maybe a few days and you haven't seen your pals since well, you left. I guess you're most scared of seeing them again rather than facing off with Malik." said Kane.
Zane rolled his eyes as he heard,"Things are getting easier Kathleen. I'm happy that both Kurt and Lucius have been working so hard.". Zane knew about the family business being that they were able to do any job that you can think off. He was lucky that both Kurt and Lucius were both metahumans so they were able to do several jobs faster than hiring teens. Zane peaked into the living room as he saw Kathleen Hunter ,looking the same, and Natasha sitting and drinking tea.
Kathleen said,"I'm sure that that idiot of a husband left behind some money.". "Shawn Alvarez was/is a good man Kathleen. He's just missing still but I'm sure he's going to come back. I'm just hoping that Zane doesn't let this bother him. Today's his first day back." said Natasha. Zane coughed loudly as he said,"Hey mom. How are you doing today?". He kissed his mother's cheek as he said,"Oh. It's good to see you Ms. Hunter. Please tell me your daughter isn't going to kill me.".
Natasha said,"Zane. You slept through breakfast. Both Atem and Ana are heading to school.". "Atem is such a sweetheart just like his older brother around his age. His girlfriend is also so cute. She was waiting for him and they were heading to school together." said Kathleen. "You need to get going. I can't have you being late on your first day." said Natasha. Zane nodded as he went out to the garage and he drove off toward the school in his motorcycle.
Later, Zane parked his bike in the parking lot as the teen took a deep breath. "Okay. They're normal humans so they won't bite." thought Zane as he walked onto campus. He looked around as he thought to himself,"Wow. No one is recognizing me despite being Student Council president and my lovable self.". "Zane! Welcome back!" said a voice. Zane soon saw the group of Danny, Gwen, and Rachel walking right toward him. "Hey. I missed you guys too.".
The trio were all taller being that Gwen and Rachel were 5 foot 7 and 5 foot 8 respectively. Danny is 5 foot 10. Danny is wearing a light gray open varsity jacket with a hood and navy blue sleeves. He has on black v-neck t-shirt underneath with a pair of sunglasses resting there, red jeans, and gray sneakers. Danny had gotten rid of his glasses being that he's wearing contacts. He looks more muscular and attractive according to the females.
Gwen was the same being that she had a athletic, yet sexy physique. Gwen's long and wavy lagoon blue hair went to her shoulders. It's the same hairstyle as it was two years ago being that some of her bangs hang down her forehead, curving away from her face on both sides. Her coral green eyes were still relaxing and kind. She's still wearing her gold wing and navy blue clock mixture earrings and gold charm bracelets with the clock clasp on both hands.
She's also still wearing her black capri pants that have a gold clockwork design. She's wearing a blue tank top with a black bandeau under it and the upper edges of the bandeau has a flowery white lace to it. Over all of that, she's wearing a dark purple jacket. She has a blue sash around her waist and white clockwork designer sandals. Rachel looks to have changed the most being that two years ago, she was popular with the boys and that hasn't changed at all.
Her copper red hair looked styled with it tied in a high ponytail ,thanks to a violet hair tie with a music note pattern, and her bangs parted to her left. This revealed her aesthetically beautiful face and her enchanting green eyes. Her figure would make any man drool/blush/nosebleed upon seeing it for the first time. Her build was more athletic with a respectable bust which looked to be bigger than Taylor's whose known for her womanly curves.
She has well-toned arms and legs. She's wearing a emerald green floral pattern shirt which reveals an ample amount of cleavage thanks to her large bust. She wears a black leather jacket over her shirt and has a hood with devil-like horns. She wears a black skirt that reaches just above her knees with her wearing a pair of burgundy tights underneath. She's wearing trendy shoes being black platform boots with blue laces that looked to be in a checker board design.
She has small ,sun shaped, pair of earrings. She's wearing a gray choker with a purple skull pendant on the front of it and she had on pink lipstick. "Wow. Rae looks really good. She makes most things look good though." thought Zane. Danny noticed Zane looking longer than normal at Rachel with him sighing. "Same old Zane. He has been unable to stop looking at Rae ever since we were kids. I wonder if they would get together any time this year." thought Danny.
Gwen said,"I've heard you're much strong in the sword. Care for a spare later?". "Guys. Please don't fight. I rather not have you and Gwen fighting Zane before we do. Welcome back bro." said Danny as the two boys fist bumped. Rachel smiled as she said,"So Zane, I like the new outfit.". "Cora made this. She's a great seamstress. I'll be going to be seeing her more often in the future. You look nice too. This place looks a lot better than the last time I've been here." said Zane.
Rachel said,"Thanks for that compliment and the school is like this because it's been almost two years since Malik destroyed the place.". "They don't know about you being the hero who saved the town from that guy. It's hard to compete with you man but I've have my fans." said Danny. "Well, I hope my eternal rival can catch up to me eventually. Is Karen sick today? I thought she would be here to say hi. She missed me right?" said Zane. "Oh. Is someone catching the love bug?" said Rachel.
She punched Zane as Zane said,"It's not like that Rae! She's a really good friend.". He turned to the fountain as he saw Hannah ,who didn't change much beside her height, sitting there. "So did her and David?" said Zane. "Hannah? You'll find out soon. Didn't you get the status updates? I thought those would be helpful." said Gwen. "They were Gwen but I'm more a hands on guy. Excuse me for a quick second. I have something I need to do for a while." said Zane.
He soon walked toward her as Danny said,"Dude! Get back here!". Rachel smiled as she said,"I didn't see this coming.". Zane stood there as he got Hannah's attention by coughing. "Hi. You must be new here. My name is Hannah Grant." said Hannah. "Seriously? You don't recognize me. I'm hurt but I guess I've changed." said Zane. Hannah tilted her head as she said,"Excuse me?". "I mean I never forgot your harpie like voice. So have you attract a new mate with your voice or what?" said Zane.
Danny laughed as Hannah said,"Excuse me? Are you damaged? My voice is like an angel coming from the heavens! The only person who would even dare insult me is long gone because he's got some sort of scholarship so who do you think you are....". "Hey David. This new kid is flirting with Hannah aka your girlfriend." said a voice. Zane turned to see Brad standing there with Austin, Bryan, and David. All of them looked older and taller with Zane saying,"David? You and her still?".
David shrugged his shoulders as he said,"Shit just happens. Good to see you Z. So how was your break or trip?". The two fist bumped as Hannah said,"David? You know this loser?". "It's Zane. Do you guys seriously not see that." said David. "That's Zane?!" said Brad. "Hey Bradley. I missed you not!" said Zane. He soon dodged Brad's punch as he said,"Things have changed.". "Oh Bradley. You couldn't beat me but hey, I like a challenge." thought Zane.
Zane entered a classroom with Danny as the brunette said,"Seriously man? You want to piss off Brad on your first day back.". "You're scared of Brad? What the hell happened?" said Zane. The two sat down in the back corner as Danny said,"Dude. It's just not worth it. I mean remember what happened to him during that time.". "Yeah. Kirk gave Brad a medallion like Saul and Mareona. I didn't see what happened to him but I remember reading the report." said Zane.
Danny said,"Well, they were some side-effects to it that wasn't in the report.". "So is Brad like me now? I mean his breath did smell awful." said Zane. "Not even close. He's slightly stronger and to a normal human, he's seemingly a metahuman." said Danny. "He's important to the school because he's been winning games." said Zane. "Yeah but no one in our senior class thinks that he's really cool. So did you miss me Zaney?" said a voice.
The two turned to see Roxy Stars standing there with Vicky Mills. Roxy looks 5 foot 8 and Vicky looks to be 5 foot 7. Roxy's hair was still the same length and she still looks amazing. Roxy is wearing a light blue scarf which is loose on her neck, dark pink v-neck tank top with white lining, white mini skirt with a dark purple belt around it and a light brown jacket tied around her waist, black tights under her skirt, and brown knee high suede boots.
Vicky's hair went up to her shoulders and it looked straighter than before. Her figure also looked more athletic. She's wearing a long sleeved sky blue blouse with the first two unbuttoned, navy blue pants, and brown tennis shoes. She's still wearing her accessories. According to Conner, Vicky had returned back to being human and without any memories of being Kirk's bitch. Zane was happy about that being that when he heard that, he accidentally destroyed a mountain during his training.
Zane said,"I miss you girls too.". "Sweet. So do you need a tour guide? I mean you've been gone for such a long time." said Roxy. She soon sat in the seat in front of Zane as Vicky said,"I guess you were serious when you said that you were going to start flirt with Zane once he came back.". "Really? I can't believe that Roxy Stars, one of the most beautiful girls in Cypress High is flirting with little old me. I'm shocked." said Zane. "You're single and I'm single. It makes sense." said Roxy.
Kane coughed as Zane said,"Well actually I'm....". The school bell rang as Vicky said,"You two can save your flirting session till after class.". "Okay." said Roxy. She turned around as Kane said,"I'm not against you dating her Zane but I rather not have Rain's heart be broken just because you have a metahuman libido and can't say no to sexy girls.". Zane rolled his eyes as his senior history class began and he fell asleep soon after much to the shock of no one.
As the class went on, Crisis Judgement went off. Zane tried to ignore it but it was getting louder by the second. He soon woke up as he wrote on a paper,"I'll be back.". Danny nodded as Zane flicked Enigma Talisman. His soul ,still invisible, left his body as Kane took over. Zane's soul flew toward the rooftop as he turned into Legion Zero. He looked around and he said,"Okay. If I was a bad guy or girl, where would I be?". He heard screaming as he said,"Found you.".
Nearby, Sheet Bones was heading toward his location. Zane soon grabbed the ghost and send him into the ground. "Wow. You do know that Halloween is later this year right or did you just not get the memo?" said Zane. The Phantom rushed toward him as Zane said,"Yeah. This isn't going to be a challenge.". Zane evade its punch and he said,"Eat this! Primordial Stream!". The Phantom was soon blasted by an turquoise ball, causing the Phantom to eat dirt.
Zane said,"Wow. I guess you must be pretty ugly to dress like this. Lets see what's under here.". He soon pulled off the sheet as it was soon revealed what was under there. It was a black skeleton with no legs but an elongated vertebra. It also looked male. "Oh wow. You're uglier than I thought." said Zane. "Mother wants you and your DNA when you're in the midway point!" said the Phantom. It soon tried to slam Zane into the ground but failed.
Zane said,"Mother? DNA? Midway Point? Listen you boney freak, my DNA isn't up for sale so how about you try something else?". The Phantom soon flew right at Zane as Zane's hands soon began to glow gold. Oathbreaker appeared and he said with a smile,"And he's...". Zane slammed the hammer into the Phantom causing him to fly as Zane said,"Out of here!". Zane flew after the Phantom with him clenching his hands together and returning the hammer back to its pocket dimension.
He soon slammed the Phantom back into the ground and right into the dumpster. This attracted the gym class as one student said,"Hey, it's Legion Zero!". The fight soon gathered up a crowd as Zane thought,"Why couldn't I fight quietly? I really hate a crowd due to the fact that most enemies grab a hostage because of it.". The Phantom soon crawled out of the dumpster and he glared at Zane. His skull was cracked open with Nether oozing out of him.
Most of his right arm was cracked or broken. Most of his ribs were on the floor and his right hand was gone as Zane thought,"Wow. He's not very durable.". The Phantom soon looked at himself as he growled. His body slowly regenerated from Zane's attack at an alarming rate being that he rushed right at Zane. Zane caught him as he said,"Time to take you for a spin!". He soon started to spin around with him throwing the boney skeleton into the wall.
This just happened to be nearby a window outside of a classroom where Kane was. The window was slightly cracked as the students soon moved away from it. Danny and Kane/Zane soon noticed that Zane or Legion Zero was far below the Phantom who was slowly gaining back his senses. "Did he go insane or what? He could get someone hurt!" whispered Danny. "I honestly don't know what goes through his head sometimes" whispered Kane.
Danny looked concerned as Kane whispered,"But I'm sure that if this Phantom was a strong opponent rather than a weak one, Zane would throw him toward the forest or a place where there isn't anybody to stop him.". The boned Phantom removed himself from the wall as he roared out into the heavens,"I won't let down Mother!". He soon charged toward Zane. Roxy ran toward the window as the others followed.
Rafael Jacobs ,who didn't change, sighed as he said,"At least, I trust this hero unlike that Neurozap kid. He's still new though so who knows how he's going to be in the long run?". "So do you guys think Legion Zero will win?" said Bryan. "No way man. He's all bones compared to Legion Zero. I love his new costume." said Brad. "So who's this mother character he mentioned?" said Vicky. "Who cares about that? I'm just happy that my Zero has returned." said Sam.
She's still the same person she was two years ago being that her t-shirt was now light pink instead of light blue, her skirt was still a white color, and not much has changed. Her eyes still have that spark that sent boys crashing into the walls being that some girls have crashed into walls. While the others were talking about said fight, Danny watched Zane fight the other Phantom. He noticed that despite it looking like Zane didn't care about others in the fight, he made sure that no one was hurt.
He was also blasting the Phantom with either one of his many forms of energy or using physical force either by weapon or by person. Zane stood there ,with his eyes closed, as the bone Phantom soon rushed toward Zane. "What are you doing?! Open your dam eyes!" yelled Roxy. Danny was shocked by this action but Zane smiled. The Phantom soon went right through Zane's body but instead of ending the hero, Zane turned into Slime Form.
The Phantom tried to get him off out of the slime as Zane's voice said,"Yeah. You're not getting out of Slime Form any time soon plus this is going to hurt you more than it will me.". Sheet Bones soon looked up to see Orb Form ,in his ball form, heading toward him and he soon slammed right into the Phantom and slime. The boned Phantom went deep into the ground as the slime gathered onto the sphere.
The sphere soon moved away as the slime went back to his normal humanoid appearance. Orb Form was soon back to Zane as Slime Form was gone. "So Slime Form must have been a clone. I'm sure that Gwen would be impressed by that quick Duplication spell." thought Danny. Sheet Bones soon dug his way out of the ground as Zane said,"You really should give up. I'm sure that this mother of yours can deal with you losing to me.".
Sheet Bones said,"I won't let her down. Mother wants you Zero!" said the Phantom. He rushed toward the hero as Zane sighed. "I guess I show off my new signature move. It should be enough to defeat you." said Zane. The crowd saw that his right hand was soon glowing turquoise with it slowly turning into a solid sphere like shape. He soon aimed it right at his opponent and he said,"Time for my Zenith Sphere!".
The sphere went right toward the Phantom and it caused a massive explosion that soon swallowed the Phantom whole. The area around the explosion was completely destroyed, leaving behind no body of the Phantom and Zane soon flew off. "Despite it being really powerful, I need to make sure that it doesn't hurt others. That's its flaw. I better get out of here." thought Zane. He didn't notice that he was being watched by someone other than the crowd of students.
Back in the classroom, the students looked in awe at Legion Zero's power being that he destroyed his opponent and Kane soon saw Zane ,invisible, fly toward him. The two soon fused back together as Zane sat back down in his seat. Rafael called everyone back to their seats as he looked right at Zane who soon went back to sleep. The rest of the class went smoothly being the bell soon ranged. Zane soon woke up as Danny said,"Did you seriously sleep through your first class back?".
Zane said,"Yeah. I did this before so this shouldn't be a shock.". "I honestly thought you would have either Sivarth or Xazzaran swap places with you." said Danny. "Yeah. That sounds like it could work but they don't like school so much." said Zane. The two were about to leave but they were stopped by Rafael's voice. "Mr. Alvarez. I need to have a work with you." said Rafael. Several of the students snickered at Zane who just shrugged his shoulders. "Whatever." said Zane.
He and Rafael were soon the only ones left as Rafael said,"Zane, I would have told you not to sleep in class but despite you being gone for your sophomore and junior year, you still have the higher grades of your class.". "So are you mad at me or what?" said Zane. "The Principal needs to talk about you. You'll need to take a test if you want to graduate with your friends." said Rafael. "Sweet. So I have to ask something. Is the A-List still ruling the school because of Bradley?" said Zane.
Rafael said,"Yes. It sucks. Your friends are the only people who stands up to them plus your little sister. She and you are alike but different.". "Yeah. I've heard that she kicked Mack in a place where the sun don't shine. I'm proud of her." said Zane, smiling. "Anyway Zane, you'll need to stop by the principal's office to receive the study guide." said Rafael. "Okay. I'll go do that now." said Zane. He left the room as Rafael said,"Zane. Welcome back.". He walked toward the office as Kane said,"So why haven't you fought them? I mean those jocks are so annoying. They're part of the reason why I hate most humans.". "I would fight them but I would have to do it outside of school grounds." said Zane. "Why?" said Sivarth. "This school likes having the A-List pleased so Zane would be in trouble just because he fights against them." said Athena. "I would get detention because of that despite me defending myself." said Zane.
Kane said,"That's terrible. It just shows that money corrupts people. We'll make sure that it doesn't happen to you through force.". "Thanks Kane." said Zane. "So has that happened to you before Zane?" said Sivarth. "Once but I didn't fight. I used my powers to prank Brad and his friends with them blaming me for it. I mean they didn't have any proof despite me doing it." said Zane. "So did you get detention?" said Kane.
Zane said,"Nope. Despite Brad being the one who scored twelve touchdowns and completed eight successful passes, Stan treats everyone the same. That's one of the reasons why I like going to school despite having idiots in our class.". "So most of the teachers support them right? I'm guessing that only a couple of them side with the assholes and most of the school fears them because the teachers support them. It's so sad to see how most humans truly are." said Kane.
Zane said,"Yeah but I rather have loyal friends and allies than those in the A-List. The student body is scared of messing with the A-List because they could ruin their futures and most teachers suck up to them because they could ruin their careers. I'm going to make sure that I can make things different for others aka Atem when he comes here.". "Sounds like a good plan to me." said Sivarth. The rest of the day went on with no Phantom attacks and Zane's first day back went okay.
Zane was soon flying back home as he was on his phone. "Danny. I'm really sorry for ditching the welcome back to Cypress Park party you guys threw for me but I promise to help my mom with one of her experiments." said Zane. "Man, I know you hate parties but can't you come up with a better excuse than that? And why can't you send a clone instead?" said Danny. "Despite my master ability with cloning, I can't mimic my personality perfectly. I also have to do the experiment." said Zane.
Zane looked at his hand as he said,"It's really important okay man.". "Zane. Are you okay? The rest of our circle may not have noticed but I have. You've been acting different since you came back. The changes are rather subtle but they're noticeable to me." said Danny. "I'll be fine. I just have things to do such as doing an experiment and studying for that test. I'm sure that Stan won't make that test easy for me." said Zane. "Okay. I'll see you tomorrow." said Danny.
Zane soon turned intangible with him floating through his house and into his room. "Yeah. I'll see you later......" said Zane. He soon looked toward his bed as he soon saw a little girl ,who looked to be eight years old, reading a manga that he had wanted to read for a while now. "You alright? You do know that we can help you right? We're your partners and teammates not your sidekicks." said Danny. "I know that Danny. It's something else. I'll call you back." said Zane, hanging up.
He soon took a closer look at the girl being that she had long ,messy yet soft, red hair ,very much like his mother and grandmother on his mother's side of the family, with naturally black tips to it. It was just like his hair but the reverse. Her hair was in a rather cute ponytail in his opinion but what did he know? She has violet eyes very much like he did when he was sixteen years old. She's wearing a baseball cap. She's dressed like a tomboy.
She's wearing a red zip-up sweater/hoodie with a black short-sleeved shirt underneath, a blue camo pattern skirt that fit her tomboy nature and had packets, and gray sneakers with white laces. Zane walked up to her as he said,"Can I help you? You're currently trespassing on my property and I really don't like intruders.". The girl soon lowered the book with her smiling at Zane. "Calm down. My name is Zoey Alvarez and I'm your seventh cousin once removed." said Zoey.
Zane said while crossing his arms,"Zoey huh? I've never heard about you before and I know my family pretty well.". "I knew that I can't hide this from you but it was worth a try. This is because I'm a runaway and I need your...." said Zoey. Her stomach soon growled loudly as she looked right at him with her looking kinda embarrassed. Zane sighed as he said,"Don't be embarrassed Zoey. It happens to the best of us.". "So could we get some food?" said Zoey.
Zane nodded as he said,"Yeah. We'll talk after we eat. It's nice that my family's out right now because of work, friends, or spying on their son's date. I wish I could be there for the latter but things happen aka you.". The little girl was already gone as Zane said,"She's just like me when I was that age aka very impatient.". He soon followed after Zoey. In eighteen years of life, Zane had seen many things that would normally shock a normal person.
Being a cross species of many different species, getting attacked by super villains every day, and dating an actress were pretty normal things to him now. Heck, he wasn't even sure about what he was going to do after high school and he actually saw two very different experiences with his future. He was soon stumped by him seeing a little girl ,who look to be ten years younger than him, eat several times her body weight.
The two were in the kitchen as Zane thought,"Wow. So this is what I look like when I pig out. Very weird so where does it all go?". The little girl burped as she said,"Thanks for the meal!". "I was going to ask if you were done eating but I think I just got my answer." said Zane. Zoey nodded as she said with a smile,"So do you play the guitar?! I saw it in your room.". "Yeah. I'm not very good. I'll have a lot of time to practice in the future though that's for sure." said Zane.
Zoey said,"That's so cool. Do you want to become a musician?". "I'm not sure to be honest. So how are you here and how did you break in? You said that you're a runaway and you were looking for me right?" said Zane. "Yeah. I ran away from mom because she and her friends are super weird. She and her friend mentioned you a lot so I decided to come and meet you." said Zoey. "That's one question done and several more to go." said Zane.
Zoey said,"And I didn't break into your house. I knocked on the front door and I asked if I could see you once you get home from school. The person who let me in aka your mom was super nice. I mean I could have sneaked in like a thief but I just decided to knock on the front door and it worked! You would think that it wouldn't but it did.". "Either mom is too trusting or she thought I could handle this. I'm going to hope the latter." thought Zane.
The Cross Species said,"You've talked with my mom right? We need to call your mom and tell where you are. She must be worried.". "No! I don't want too Zane and she isn't worried about me I swear!" said Zoey. "Zoey. Your mom may be super weird and she cares about you despite not showing it." said Zane. "No means no got it Zane?!" said Zoey. She ran off and back up into Zane's room. "Get back here!" said Zane. He ran after her as she was gone.
Zane looked for her as he said,"Where did she go? I'm sure she didn't just run at speed that I even can't comprehend.". He turned into Legion Zero and looked around the nearby area. His senses have improved being that he could hear and smell everything in the nearby area. Zane floated toward the ground as he said,"I can't believe that I lost an eight year old girl. So where would a girl her age go? I don't have...".
Crisis Judgement went off as he said,"Great. I really hope you're better than Sheet Bones was. I'm pretty sure that was his name according to the database.". Something was about to slam into him but Zane ,turning into fire, evaded the attack and causing his attacker to head into the ground, creating a small crater. Zane soon reformed as he saw his attacker ,who was slightly burned, glaring at him. It was Franker Specter and he roared.
The Phantom said,"Give her back now and come with me! Mother wants you and her back right now!". "Okay. I seriously have no idea about who this Mother is and whoever you're after other than me because your pal Sheet Bones want something called a Midway Point. Here's some bad news for you. You're not getting anything beside a beatdown!" said Zane. He soon turned into Brawn Form as the two soon collided fists. It created a shockwave as the two were in a small crater.
Zane said,"Okay. You're stronger than I thought.". Zane soon jumped back as he clapped. His opponent was sent flying backwards as Zane said,"You're strong but not very bright. I think Sheet Bones was smarter than you and I eradicated him!". The Phantom roared as he ran right toward Zane. Zane slammed his fists onto the ground, causing the ground to shake as the Phantom shook in place. "Hey ugly! Leave him alone!" yelled a voice.
The two saw Zoey standing there as Zane said,"Get out of here! We'll talk later! And he's not even bothering me.". Zory shook her head as she said,"No way. I've hear so much about you from her and I'm not leaving you! You're really the best and I won't let my mom have her way with you! Time to Power Up!". She was soon covered by two white rings as Zane's eyes soon widened. "Okay. I did not see that coming." said Zane.
Cole said,"I didn't see that coming Zane. She's emitting at a almost similar energy frequency like you do when you're turning into Legion Zero.". The transformation was done as a new girl was in her place. In terms of her skin, hair, and aura, she looked like Zane does when he goes Legion Zero but her hair was slightly longer. Her costume looked to be he third version that he wore before he got an upgrade to it. She wasn't wearing the goggles or amplification vambraces.
Her shirt was black and white with the left side being black and the right side being white. The center of it was a dark purple color with his exact logo on in the center of the shirt. It was also cut short to expose her midriff much to Zane's confusion about the whole thing. It also exposed most of her arms except for the shoulders. She's wearing the combat vest but it looked to be based off the cloak/robe he wore for his first costume in terms of design.
She's wearing black jeans with long white combat boots with titanium mesh straps and no glowing lines. She finishes off her outfit with star themed gloves on both of her hands. "You shouldn't mess with Lodestar. Go away ugly!" said Zoey as she blasted the Phantom with Green Nether. Zane stood next to her as he said,"I have so many questions for you but can you keep up with me you damn pipsqueak?". "Of course you giant." said Zoey.
The Phantom returned as he smashed the ground in front of him. The two jumped back from it. "Me thinks he can't keep up with us Legion Zero. We'll kick his but easy." said Zoey. "Well, he's only a level 1 Phantom Lodestar but don't get too cocky. The weak can often surprise you when you're too cocky. Remain on your toes and strike back when they're off their game." said Zane as he was soon gone. Zoey's eyes widened from this. "He's so fast!" said Zoey.
She soon saw Zane reappear behind the Phantom as he headbutted the Phantom into the ground. Zane soon jumped into the air and turned into Brick Form. The Phantom was trapped as the Phantom tried to get out. "Keep trying ugly. It ain't going to work. Blast him Lodestar!" said Zane. Zoey nodded as she charged up and fired a huge blast of Green Nether into the holes that were provided by Zane as inside of Zane's body was currently holding a massive explosion and Franken Specter.
Zane's body soon reformed as both he and Zoey soon watched the defeated Franken Specter turning into slime. "Okay. After I defeated them, one of them was pretty much eradicated and this one turned into slime. Okay. I'm sure that these two were after me for my Midway Point whatever that is and I'm going to take a shot in the dark here and say that you're involved in some way so talk Zoey or....." said Zane. Zoey soon passed out ,turning back into the girl, as Zane caught her.
Zane sighed as he said,"I may have questions for you but you're mostly tired from your trip here and you're still young. I'll ask you my questions once you've recovered.". He deactivated Brick Form as he flew back to his house, with a sleeping Zoey in arms. The next day at Cypress High, Zane was currently eating in the cafeteria with Danny, Gwen, and Rachel because Karen was out sick yet again. "So when you got home from school, you've met a little girl version of yourself." said Danny.
Zane nodded as he said,"Yeah. She was gone when I came home from my morning patrol so she's hopefully still in Cypress Park.". "So have you asked her if she's you from an alternate dimension or maybe she's your future daughter? I mean you've met two different yous before. She could also be a bad guy and with your trusting nature, this is a bad thing." said Rachel. "We're stronger now Rae and what's wrong with being kind? I think it's a good thing." said Zane.
Gwen said,"Zane. You shouldn't be so trusting. I mean your female self could be evil and you could have read her mind.". "She could be Gwen but she's only eight I think plus I want to hear it from her rather than her thoughts." said Zane. "Hey cos!" said a female voice. Zane soon turned around to see Zoey standing in the doorway and she was waving to me. She ran over to him as she said,"It took me forever to find you! You left this morning before I could thank you.".
She looked at his friends as she said,"Hi. My name is Zoey Alvarez, I'm Zane's seventh cousin once removed.". Zoey smiled as Rachel said,"Wow. You two really look alike. She's like your mom but more you than her.". "We sure do don't we cos?!" said Zoey. "She's pretty cute." said Danny. Gwen stomped on his foot as Zane said,"Take note Zoey. The male said something stupid in front of the female which responded in her attacking him. It's important to learn.".
Zoey nodded as Gwen said,"So how did you get in here? I mean you have Nether right? Most people would have gone through security but I'm guessing you didn't.". "Yeah but the security system in this school is so bad. I mean a level 1 Phantom was able to head toward the school so it was no problem at all." said Zoey. "Well, he technically didn't enter the school Zoey. Your cousin here kept himself outside of the school." said Rachel.
Zoey shrugged as she said,"Semantics.". "Yep. She's your cousin alright. I mean she's rather sarcastic and blunt. It's like looking in a younger and female mirror." said Gwen. "Thank you!" said Zoey. "So did any of the girls here judge you or did they see you at all? I just worry too much about you little one." said Zane, tussling her hair. "No way Zane. I was totally a ninja. " said Zoey with her making a ninja hand pose.
Zane sighed as he said,"That's good little one.". "Well, I did see this one blond guy flirting with a girl on my way here. He really sucks at it like a lot." said Zoey. "You mean Bradley right? He sucks at flirting but he's slightly better at it than Mack." said Zane. "Mack. He's that guy with the white hair right? I heard his name mentioned a lot by the girls while looking for you. He's a male prostitute right? I mean his pickup lines were awful." said Zoey.
Both Danny and Zane laughed with the girls sighing. "I won't deny that Zoey but that's rather rude to say." said Rachel. "So? It's the truth isn't it?" said Zoey. "You can't retort that Rae. So how good are your pranking skills?" said Zane. "Pretty good." said Zoey. "Please don't corrupt her." said Gwen. "I think that ship has sailed. Those two are planning something." said Danny, looking at the two who were talking.
Gwen said,"So Zoey, how did you get those powers in the first place?". "Yeah. From what Zane told us, you've got some Phantom running through you." said Rachel. Zoey looked at them as she said,"I know that I can trust you guys since you're close friends with Zane so I got my powers from.". Crisis Judgement went off as something flew into the cafeteria. It was the glowing green pixie Phantom aka one of the pixies.
It soon destroyed the cafeteria being that it was soon gone left. "Lets go kick some but Zane?" said Zoey. "You know it but you need to answer our questions answered. You guys should get out of here fast because I don't think you'll like cleaning up this mess." said Zane. The two Alvarez were gone as Danny looked around. The cafeteria was destroyed as Rachel said,"Come on Danny!". The trio was gone as the teachers arrived. They soon pinned the blame on someone else.
Both Zane and Zoey were in costume as they were chasing after the pixie. "Hey LZ. How about a race?" said Zoey. "Sure but the loser buys lunch at Fantasia!" said Zane. He turned into Turbo Form as he said,"Turbo!". Zane's speed was increased as Zoey followed behind him. The pixie went to the top of a nearby skyscraper as Zane looked back behind him to see that Zoey wasn't behind him. "I'm so winning this race." said Zane. "Are you Zane?" said a voice.
Zane saw Lilith ,as Sovereign, who looked different than she did two years ago. Her body, face aka her eyes and fangs, hair length, and skin tone stayed the same. She now wears a white long-sleeved shirt with a crimson red stripe. The stripe forms the letter "S" across her chest. She wears black pants with a silver belt now with a gold crown shaped belt buckle. She wears a high collar cape which was connected around her neck. Her cape is now made out of her Red Nether.
She loses her gold armbands. She floating there at the top of the skyscraper. Zane floated up to her as he said,"Lilith? What are you doing here exactly? I thought getting turned into a living battery by Marilyn would make her your prime target and not me whatsoever! I'm not a fan of you hurting someone I care about which isn't Swarm except for maybe one to five people. Don't know and I'm not judging them as a whole.".
Zane said,"I mean they've killed countless members of our race just because we're different so they should be your enemy and not me. Plus you shouldn't judge a book by its cover or judge people just because of where they're working.". "You would be normally be right on point there Zero my boy. Just like Natasha, my true love. However, the Odium Society asked for a favor from me so I intend on making due." said Soverign.
She fired two Red Nether beams toward Zane as he dodged them. "This form can fly circles around you! Turbo!" said Zane. The flier soon fly toward the ground as he expected her to chase after him but that plan changed. "Die!" said a voice. Zane looked up to see Blanche dropping Solomon on top of him through a portal. "Not happening! Turbo!" said Zane. Zane soon evade the lizard's attack being that he soon crashed into the ground, making a crater.
Solomon fired several crystals at him. Zane dodged them or blasted them to pieces with his energy beams. Zane easily dodged Sovereign's punch with the flier easily dodged the two of them when they decided to work together in trying to him. Zane backed away as he transformed into Archangel Form while in the air. Blanche stood there with Solomon and Sovereign as Zane said,"So you two decided to switch up masters? Rocco must be pretty sad about losing you two but you made a better choice.".
Solomon said,"We would never betray Rocco! His interests just align with her is all.". "Whatever I don't really care. Just tell me why you're here. I'm sure you have a plan involving my mom so that ain't happening!" said Zane. The angel soon held his bow toward the trio as Blanche was about to block the attack. "Nope. I'm just tired of this game of cat and mouse child. Why send children to do a woman's job?" said Sovereign.
She soon aimed her hand right toward Zane being that she soon created a giant Red Nether beam went flying right toward him. Zane soon turned into Mastodon Form as he tanked the hit and landed on the ground with it breaking. Zane turned to see Zoey ,in her costume, standing there as he said with a smile,"Lodestar! Take care of these freakshows while I handle gruesome!". "Sorry but I won't be doing that." said Zoey.
Her Green Nether beams soon hit Zane's nape and was soon on the ground. He soon deactivated Mastodon Form and was back in his casual clothing. "That took him out? I thought in that form, he would have a stronger durability to a simple Green Nether blast." said Blanche. Solomon shrugged as Zoey said,"So I did good right mother?". "Yes you did my pixie but turn back to normal. I hate seeing that mistake." said Sovereign.
Zane watched Zoey turn right into that pixie Phantom from earlier as Zane said,"So you're the mother that she hated more than anything. I really hate you and hope that you and your kids rot in the dread dimension.". He was soon out cold as Solomon picked him up. Blanche soon teleported the group away as Zoey ,who had finally found Zane being that Turbo Form was really fast and she was also scared of Sovereign being there, flew off to somewhere unknown.
Back at Cypress High, Danny was pacing back and forth like a mad man. From the main steps of the school, Rachel said,"At the rate you're going Danny, you'll make a divot to China.". "Zane or his cousin haven't returned yet! Aren't you worried at all?" said Danny. "I would be if Zane was still a noob but he's a pro now. Calm your tits and relax. I mean it's not like he was captured by his arch enemies or something." said Rachel.
The two were soon shocked to see Zoey ,in her human guise, running right toward them. Rachel looked at Danny ,who had a smug look, as she said,"Not a single word or I'm telling Gwen about your dirty little secret.". Zoey soon stood in front of them as she said,"Zane is in trouble! We were racing and then I lost him. I then saw Zane being taking away by that weird multi-armed lady, my mom, and some diamond creature!".
Danny said,"You're talking about Blanche and Solomon right? Whose your mom?". "Do you guys think I'm lying or something?! I'm not okay?! Please believe me! Zane is danger because of her!" said Zoey, crying. "Zoey. I know that you've haven't told Zane the truth about who you really are but he trusts you so we will as well. If you want us to help you save Zane from those two Deviants and your mom, you need to tell us who you really are." said Rachel in a motherly tone.
Zoey wiped away her tears as she said,"You mean it?". "We sure do." said Danny. "Okay. I should start from the beginning." said Zoey. After she finished, the teens were quiet. "Wow. That explain a lot actually. Your mom is messed up. I mean she could have just done something simple but she took the long and tedious way. I'll call Gwen and tell her to meet us at Zane's place." said Danny. He was soon gone as Rachel said,"Got to agree with Danny on this one.".
Zoey said,"You guys believe me?". "Of course we do. Your "cousin" and you look alike plus we've seen weirder thanks to being close to Zane. Zane is my best friend and I don't want to see him hurt despite his career choice." said Rachel. "So what about class? You guys are seniors right and it isn't important not to miss it right?" said Zoey. "It's calling ditching Zoey but don't do it often. Not all of us are super smart like Zane." said Rachel. The two were soon gone from the school as the bell rang.
Zane soon woke up to see that he was currently in a laboratory. The first thing he saw was Lilith smiling at him with him thinking,"Okay. That's the one of the worst sights to wake up too.". He soon looked around the area to see Rocco and the rest of the Freakshow (Blanche, Solomon, and Tototl) who were standing behind their master. He also saw a computer monitor that showing video feed of him in the past, turning from Zane to Zero.
He looked down to see himself in a strange cube that was preventing the use of his powers. "Hold on a minute. How long have you been spying on me? I've been back for less than a week and been a hero for like a quarter of a year. How did you get this much footage. This is so many levels of creepy you do know that right? And where are we Lilith?" said Zane. She was silent as Zane said,"And here people think I've gone crazy but being used as a battery will make you super crazy.".
Lilith said,"You think I'm crazy don't you Zane? A crazy woman would not have been able to make her fortune through several thefts done all around the world. A crazy woman wouldn't have been sane enough to use her powers to make millionaires give her money! I'm not crazy! I'm not a bad person either Zane. I just wanted love." said Lilith. Toto growled as Blanche said,"Hush. We're not to say anything unless spoken too plus Zane's going to do it.".
Zane said,"Okay then. You're not crazy but seriously crazy. You do know of something called online dating. I mean it's been really successful at finding the perfect partner because the ones that you've got now are pretty strange but somewhat perfect.". "Show him what we've been working on for the time he's been away Lilith." said Rocco. Lilith nodded as she pressed a button on the wall. Zane soon saw a clone of himself resting in a stabilizing chamber.
It looked like he did when he was Legion Zero except in his third costume. "Oh wow. I looked good in the costume. I think my popularity really went up after I ditched the helmet." said Zane. "As you can see, this is the result of months of hard work. This is the more improved version of the clones that we've been making for the Odium Society. It needs your DNA from your Midway Point in order for him to be born and then soon, we'll have an army." said Lilith.
Zane soon noticed a bunch of the pixie Phantoms flying around them as he said,"Okay then. You've gone seriously off the deep end. I mean cloning me? That's crazy. So I'm going to guess that Franken Specter, Sheet Bones, and these Pixies are all....". "Failed clones of yours. They were created using your DNA when you're Legion Zero rather than your Midway Point." said Rocco. Some of the little Phantoms were eaten by Toto who was slapped by Solomon.
Zane said,"At least, you're feeding him. So if you have all of these clones, why do you need me?". "I know that you're not smart like your mother but just be quiet. I've watched several of them died due to time, overusing their powers, or just being unable to survive outside of their tube. When they're done, they turn into a slime version of Nether or a gas version of Nether. You've seen both of their deaths before. I'll do anything to get my Cross-Species son." said Lilith.
Zane said,"Yeah I did. I thought that they went back to Terrarune since I didn't destroy their Essence but they don't have one do they?". "Correct. You're smarter than I thought." said Lilith. "And you're way crazier than I thought." said Zane, rolling his eyes. "Do you think that you're going to get out of here? The Odium Society need your DNA during your Midway Point to complete Lilith's son. Once that is done, I'll take what I need from you and give the blueprints to the Odium Society." said Rocco.
Zane said,"Which will make the attack of the Zlones.". "Zlones?" said Blanche. "It's Zane and clones." said Solomon. "Yeah. What he said. So what is this Midway Point you're taking about?" said Zane. "You've seen it before. Just watch." said Lilith. She soon turned into Sovereign with Zane noticing that she had black rings go around her body. "Oh. The Midway Point is just before you transform into a Phantom or in my case, a superhero here." said Zane.
Rocco said,"Correct. We need that so we've come up with a plan to do that.". "Before you do that, I have one thing to say." said Zane. "Talk." said Sovereign as she turned back into Lilith. "You've heard of adoption right Lilith? Before adopting a kid, I would suggest a cat. I mean you're crazy to be begin with so becoming the crazy cat lady makes total sense to me." said Zane. Lilith snapped her fingers as several Pixies went flying into Zane's body.
They did this by either phasing through him or going through his mouth or nose. Zane began to toss and turn as he said,"Get them out of me!". He was soon in pain as Rocco said,"You're unable to use any of your powers thanks to that cube prison of yours. We're going to get what we want from you so just accept them.". Zane soon began screaming as the villains just watched him, screaming in pain and none of them were showing any joy at this.
Back at the Alvarez house, the group of Danny, Gwen, Rachel, and Zoey had sneaked into the house thanks to Zoey. "So where is everyone? And does this place have security?" said Zoey. "Zane's mom is out with her friends and Arturo is walking the dogs. All of us are good friends so the really good security system won't be going off." said Gwen. "Yeah. Our destination is the basement. Zoey, are you 100% sure on where they've taken Zane?" said Rachel.
Zoey looked down as Danny said,"Of course she did Rae. I mean both her and Zane have a pretty obvious sign when they're lying and I'm good at seeing it.". "I'm not lying." said Zoey. Rachel could tell that the girl was really upset as Rachel said,"Don't worry Zoey. We'll save him I promise and he's far too stubborn to lose to anyone.". The four soon reached the basement as Rachel said,"So how do we get the ship here? I mean we just think about it right?".
Danny nodded as the Midnight Bird soon appeared. Zoey's eyes widened within seconds of seeing the plane. "That's so cool! How did you guys do that?!" said Zoey's eyes as they were stars. "It's rather complicated." said Rachel. "For Rae, it is. You just think about it and it appears." said Danny. Rachel punched him as Zoey saw Gwen grabbing somethings from a nearby work bench. One of them was a gray bracelet ,very much like the one Sophie wore during that time, and the other was a metallic pen.
They both have violet details on them with a matching violet dial in the center of both of them. "So what's that? Is it some sort of weapon? Or is it a tracking device?" said Zoey. "It's Rachel's way of defending herself. It's an upgrade to a previous invention of Zane's mother known as Plasma Swiss Army Knife." said Gwen. Rachel grabbed them as she said,"So how are we tracking Zane? I mean this thing has to have a tracking system right?".
The four were soon in the cockpit of the plane as Danny said,"I remember Zane telling me that his plane was connected to him like his watch is so we should be able to track him.". "So how are we getting out of here?" said Zoey. Rachel soon smiled as the basement opened a hole in the wall and the plane flew out of it. "Faster!" said Zoey. "You heard the lady." said Gwen. The plane soon flew off as it soon left Cypress Park.
Back in the laboratory, Zane was currently held in a test tub that was similar to the one that was holding his clone. He was struggling as Blanche increased the power of the electricity. Zane screamed out in pain. He was about to transform into Legion Zero but it wasn't working. "What's wrong?" said Lilith. She stood there as Blanche said,"I'm not sure. He seems to be resisting the Pixies. I thought with the electricity, Zane's will would have been weaken so he can turn into Zero.".
Lilith sighed as she said,"It should but Zane is being stubborn. Increase the pressure.". She increased the power as Zane screamed louder. The containment chamber beeped as Blanche said,"I may not be a science person but this beep is bad right?". It soon exploded as Blanche was soon gone thanks to a portal and Lilith made a Red Nether Barrier around her body. The room was soon covered in smoke as Zane turned into Legion Zero. He flew off as Lilith said,"Son of a....".
She took a deep breath as Blanche returned. "Do you need me to get Master?" said Blanche. "We'll be just fine. Tell your friends to keep an eye for Zane's friends. They'll mostly likely be coming for a good old fashioned rescue mission and with them, they'll have the mistake I'm sure. Her Nether was nearby us when we took Zane." said Lilith. "You're talking about Lodestar or is her name Zoey? I'm not too sure." said Blanche.
Unknown to them, Zane was still in the room being that he was going to get his answers about Zoey and he didn't care on how he did. He was going to ask Zoey for her side of this once he finds her but hearing it from Lilith would be a good thing as well. "She's a clone just like the rest but she was made from when Zane is human rather than when he's Zero and she reminds me of a young Natasha mixed with Zane. She was made two years old but looks to be eight." said Lilith.
Zane looked at the other test tubs as he thought,"Okay. Lilith is crazy. I mean why didn't she just find a male version of my mom? I mean I don't want another Malik to happen but going through all of this just to have a son with my mom and using her son to do it is kinda creepy and totally taking the long way instead of the short way.". Blanche tilted her head as she said,"So will she turn into something like your other clones? You did call her a mistake.".
Lilith said,"I'm not so sure myself but she's still alive for some reason. We tried making another clone through the same method but they died. She was lucky and when she heard me and Rocco talking about her dead brothers and sisters, she flew off. She must think that she'll be like the two of them but I'm sure that she'll stay stable for a long time. We need to get Zane's DNA when he's at his Midway Point.".
The deviant and Zane soon turned to see one of the Zero clones disappear in a second. "It's awful isn't it? For some weird reason, she isn't like them and I can't find out why. I was going to but she was gone after she saw her younger clone turn into a pile of Nether slime." said Lilith. "Why not ask the Engineer for his help?" said Blanche. "I refuse to get help from that idiot. We'll get it but I need you to find Zane before things go bad fast." said Lilith.
Zane thought,"Yeah. That won't be happening.". "I just need his DNA for a second so I can keep my son alive and finish him. He's almost done. I'll inform your friends about Zane's pals showing up here to save their friend. Understand?" said Lilith. "Yes. So why do you call her a mistake? She seems like the perfect clone." said Blanche. "I'll tell you after we find Zane. Lets go." said Lilith. The two were soon gone from the lab as Zane wondered why Zoey was called a mistake despite being perfect.
Meanwhile, it was nice and peaceful in mother nature until the Midnight Bird flew past a flock of birds. "So where are we?" said Rachel. "According to the computer, we're currently in a forest nearby Oregon and Washington. It's actually pretty nice here. I think I saw a mongoose fighting a jackelope with a bear playing ref earlier. Both Zane and Zoey would love that. Where did she go anyway?" said Danny, turning back to the girls.
Gwen said,"She wanted to go ahead of us. She wanted to sneak into Lilith's manor while we're the distraction.". "Or in others words, we're the bait for Lilith and the Freakshow." said Rachel. "Yep. I think we can handle those weaklings no sweat but I'm more worried about Zane." said Danny. "From what Zoey told us, Lilith does seem determined to get his Midway Point DNA for her perfect clone. I still don't get why she came to Zane though." said Gwen. "Who really knows?" said Rachel.
Back with Zane, he was currently recovering in what seems to be Lilith's private studies. He sat in one of the chairs as he thought,"Okay. I'll rest here for a while, destroy Lilith's labs and finding out more about Zoey, and then go home.". Crisis Judgement went off as Zane soon dodged several seeds which opened portals. He soon saw Blanche standing there and she punched him into a desk as he pulled himself out of it.
Blanche said,"Sorry but you won't be leaving here without giving us a DNA sample for my Master and Lilith.". "Blanche. You need to go. I don't want to hurt you." said Zane, holding up his hands in front of him. "Why is that huh? Is it because you're scared of my immense power or is it because I'm a woman?" said Blanche. "No way Blanche. You're strong and I don't hold back on woman. It's because...." said Zane.
Blanche was soon blasted by a green Nether construct of a jet fighter and she was soon sent flying out of the room. "Of the jet fighter that's coming right at you." said Zane. Zane soon saw Zoey ,in her costume, standing there as she said,"Zane! You're okay!". She hugged him as Zane said,"While I'm happy to see you, we got a problem and she's very angry. I'm also not at full strength right now so you need to protect me.".
Zane or Zoey turned to see Blanche as she was about to attack them. Zoey was scared being that Blanche said,"Hello Mistake. Why did you come back? Did you want to melt like your brothers and sisters or turn into a gas?". "Shut up! I'm not like them!" said Zoey, shaking. Zane soon grabbed Zoey as he held her close to his chest. Zoey could hear his Essence beating loudly as she wasn't sure if he was scared or angry at Blanche.
Zane said,"Don't worry Zoey. You're nothing like those other clones I've met. You're smart. We need to talk and this time, you're not getting out of it. SLEEP." said Zane. A purple circular energy wave was released from his body as Blanche was soon out cold. Zoey looked to see Zane breathing heavily as Zane said,"She'll be out for a while. I promise. So do you know a place where we could hide for a while and not be found?". Zoey nodded as the two were gone.
The two were soon in a barren looking room as Zoey said,"This is where I stayed when I was living here with her. She'll never think of looking here.". "I'll take your word for it. So why does Lilith want my Midway Point DNA?" said Zane. "She wants a son. I mean you've seen what happened to the other clones." said Zoey. "Except for you. You're nothing like them. They're a mindless puppet but you're a person that can...." said Zane. "She isn't my mom! She's a monster." said Zoey.
Zane sighed as he said,"You're not wrong Zoey so why come to me? I'm not exactly the best when it comes to dealing with Lilith. I mean I've fought her a bunch but she always escape from me or from Dyno.". "She talked about you so much because well, I'm you." said Zoey. "You're not me Zoey. You are your own person." said Zane. "I know that but." said Zoey. "But nothing. You have an Essence because unlike Franken and Sheet, you were made with Human DNA." said Zane.
Zoey said,"So do you know why I'm not turning into Nether? I'm a clone right? I should be like my brothers and sisters but I'm not. Why is that?". "To be honest, I have no idea. I'm not a science guy normally but my mom is a science person or when I'm in one of my smart forms. I need to tell you this but you may already know this. Lilith only wants my DNA to make the son she could never have because my dad stole my mom from her." said Zane.
Zoey looked confused as she said,"I'm confused.". "Zoey. I'm sure you know about the facial tick we have when we lie so tell me. Do I have it right now?" said Zane. Zoey looked at him as she saw that Zane's eyes were looking right at her. "Zoey. Lilith only wants power and having a son will give her that power. She stole two important trinkets to Terrarune, tried to steal my battle suit, and so many other things because she wanted power." said Zane.
Zane hugged her as he said,"She'll even use others to achieve her goals even if hurts others around her. I don't want to see you hurt. We may be clones but we're more than just the same person. You're your own person and we're family okay?". Zoey cried as Zane said,"Let it out. I remember being a big crybaby when I was your age.". "I'm not a crybaby!" said Zoey. She playfully punched him as Zane said,"Okay. You're not. I have an prank in mind but I need your help. Are you in?".
He held out his fist as she said,"Um. What are you doing?". "Zoey. We both don't like Lilith for same yet different reasons. Once two people bump fists, they're bonded for life." said Zane. She pound her fist into his as she said,"Okay! Lets do this Zane!". "Okay then. Here's the plan." said Zane. He soon whispered something into her ear as she said,"Are you sure Zane? This could be really bad for you and what if she gets it.".
Zane said,"That could happen Zoey but we need to stop her from making an army of us and we're both Alvarezs. We're too stubborn to lose.". "Okay. So where are we going to hide her? I mean if she appears during the plan, the plan is ruined." said Zoey. "I have an idea. Do you know a good hiding spot around here?" said Zane. She slowly nodded as Zane said while standing up,"Lets get to work Lodestar.". "Okay Zero!" said Zoey.
Later in the basement lab, Lilith paced back and forth as Solomon and Toto stood nearby. "So where is she!?" said Lilith. "She'll be here soon. I doubt she would want to piss off Master." said Solomon as Toto nodded. "I'm back." said Blanche. The three soon saw the multi-armed woman with Zane ,in his human guise, out cold. "Good job my dear. Place him in a pod and we get this show started." said Lilith.
Blanche nodded as Zane was soon placed in a pod being that was just across from the nearly perfect clone. She stood nearby the controls as Lilith stood there in front of the pod with a smile. Zane was slowly waking up as he heard Blanche said,"He's ready to go.". Toto's eye rose as Lilith said,"I'm still wondering how I can get him to be Legion Zero.". "You could just ask him nicely?" said Blanche as Solomon hit her and Toto snickered loudly.
Lilith said,"He may be the son of that idiot Shawn but they're both smarter than one may think. I'll need someone to take him over and make him Legion Zero. Do I have any clones left?". "You do but you have her." said Blanche. A portal soon opened up as Zoey ,in her human guise, popped out and she was tied up. "While looking for the Prime, I found the mistake." said Blanche. "We can use you to force the transformation on him. This is perfect." said Lilith.
Zoey said,"No! You're evil! I know that when a clone goes into Zane, they turn into a puddle!". "Am I dear? You're also nothing like your fellow clones since you've been around for at least a month being that you and Zane share the same date of birth." said Lilith. "You're evil." said Zoey. Lilith's temper rose as she said,"I'm not sure you understand dear so let me explain it to you simply. You're nothing more than a tool for me. I want a son not a daughter. Your creation is nothing more than a mistake!".
Zoey was about to cry as Lilith yelled,"You got lucky girl and your birth was because of a fluke or a mistake! Got it!?". Zane was getting mad as Zoey said,"You're nothing more than a lonely and crazy woman who seriously needs a cat! Blanche! Now!". Lilith was soon blasted by Green Nether thanks to Blanche and hit an empty test tub as Solomon said,"Hold on. I thought that Blanche couldn't use Nether.". Blanche was soon gone as Zoey pressed a button.
Zane was free as Lilith said after recovering,"No! I can't believe it!". Zane smiled as he said,"Sorry Lilith but me and Zoey are here are fighting together to kicking your but. I'm also avenge Zoey's pride! She's not a mistake! She's an Alvarez and Alvarez aren't mistakes at all! I made Blanche into a clone so that's how she used Nether by the way.". Zoey smiled as she said with a smile,"We're still going to kick her but right Zero?". "Hell yeah we are Lodestar!" said Zane.
The two soon turned into their superhero counterparts ,thanks to a fist bump, as Lilith said,"Get them now!". Solomon and Toto ran toward them as Zane turned into Water Form. He blasted the two back with a huge gush of water as Zoey said,"Two losers going up, up, and out of here!". She soon made a Green Nether water slide as the two were soon thrown out of the lab and hit something before they went crashing to the ground outside of the manor.
Lilith slowly stood back up as she turned into Sovereign. "You may have the numbers against me but I've got way more combat experience than both you combined!" said Sovereign. Zane soon turned into Swift Form as he was gone. Sovereign looked for him but she was soon punched several times by an unseen force. Zane reappeared next to Zoey as she said,"So can I do that?". "Maybe but right now, it's time to fight!" said Zane as Zoey got her game face on.
Sovereign laughed as she said,"I'm sure I'll be able to handle you and the mistake without me breaking a sweat.". She fired Red Nether at the two but Zane soon kicked it away from them. He soon rushed toward a beam and he kicked it right toward Sovereign. The attack soon launched her into a tube that didn't have the clone in it. The tube fell on top of her and before she could move it off her, Zane stood above her.
He was back in his costume and not Swift Form as he said,"Having fun?". Sovereign was about to attack him but she was soon hit with several Nether Beams. Zane threw a thumbs up toward Zoey who returned it. Zane soon stood by Zoey as Sovereign soon heard,"The prime clone is safe.". "He isn't here and you got the DNA?" said Zoey. Zane shrugged as Sovereign glared at them and Zoey was scared of the glare.
Sovereign said,"You're just lucky that I expected you idiots to trash the place. I knew what I was going to get when I made a clone using your humanity! You're nothing more than a mistake Zoey! Got that!?". Zoey was about to blast her as Zane said with noticeable anger in his voice and he glared at Sovereign,"Okay. You've crossed a line Lilith.". "Zero? I thought you said that I was going to." said Zoey. "You will but I need you to stay right behind me Zoey." said Zane.
Zoey was about to say something as Zane said,"No buts. Time to show you what happens when you make me really mad.". After hearing Zoey's story from the girl in person earlier and how Lilith was acting toward her, Zane felt a rage brewing inside of him. Zane had both Sivarth and Kane at their full power. So once he is anger, nothing is going to stop him. Zoey felt safe around Zane being that she felt like this whenever he was nearby.
Sovereign walked toward them as Zane said,"You made clones of me without my permission and used them as pawns to get my DNA for your perfect son. I'm not sure if Rocco had a hand in this but knowing him, he mostly like did. Zoey isn't a mistake! She's special to me! She may be my clone but she's like my daughter! No one messes with my family Lilith! I'll make you see that the very hard and painful way!". Zane soon dash toward her and he punched her in the face hard.
The force of the attack felt like being ran over by a herd of elephants. Zane grabbed her right arm as she saw that he's wearing a mask. It's very much like the mask/head he wore when he was in that frenzy state after seeing Kirk kill Shawn. It's a white hockey mask/skull with two slits for his eyes and seven pipe like extensions that goes around his head. The mask has two thick dark purple stripes making an "X" shape but it didn't cover his eye hole.
Zane soon kicked her in the stomach before getting kneed in the chin. It was in a split second but she was soon hit but a knee to the stomach. Zoey closed her eyes as she couldn't watch the beatdown. "I can't believe it! He's strong then me!" thought Sovereign. From what Zoey could easily hear but not see, Zane was winning easily. Zane finished his assault on her as he walked over to Zoey. "Zoey. You can open your eyes." said Zane. She opened them to see Zane in his human form.
Zane smiled as he said,"I have a monster inside of me but I don't let it control me. Lilith has one too and she lets it control her. Don't be scared of me like her?". "Could I do the final blow Daddy? I'm not scared." said Zoey. "Daddy? I guess you see me as a dad don't you" said Zane, smirking. Zoey blushed as she said,"I mean Zane!". "Sure thing pumpkin but lets do a father daughter attack." said Zane.
She nodded as she fired a Green Nether Beam at Sovereign and Zane made a sphere ,very much like the one from yesterday, appear in his right hand. Unlike the sphere from the day before, it was a Purple color. "This is my Zenith Sphere created by Animus this time!" said Zane. He threw it toward Sovereign and the vampire was soon sent flying through the ground and toward the sky. She soon landed outside with her landing in a bundle of poison ivy.
She turned back to normal as she was out cold. Inside the lab, Zane and Zoey fist bumped. "Well done pumpkin." said Zane. He tussled her hair as she blushed. "Stop it Daddy! I mean Zane!" said Zoey with a huge blush. The two soon looked at the main computer as Zane said,"So do you want to get rid of all of her data on the clones or what?". "Yeah but wouldn't she make a back up copy?" said Zoey. "Yeah. She will but we could give her spam. I got the perfect form for that." said Zane.
Zoey said,"Sure.". Zane soon turned into Brain Form as he hopped toward the main computer. "This is going to be easy Zoey. I bet it'll be easier to solve than the Hilbert's Problems." said Zane. The girl looked confused as Zane said,"I honestly don't know what I say in these forms. They're like really smart.". "But we're simple people aren't we?" said Zoey, earning a nod from Zane. Zane soon finished off the program as he turned back to normal.
He hugged the little girl as he said,"We sure are pumpkin and I love that.". Zoey soon smiled as she nuzzled into his chest. The roof soon blew up as the Midnight Bird flew in. "Don't worry! We're here to....." said Danny as he jumped out of the plane. He looked around as he said,"Dude! Seriously? You didn't save us one!". "Sorry." said the two. "You two aren't sorry at all. She's your clone Zane after all." said Rachel. "Actually, she's more like my daughter." said Zane.
Zoey said,"Yep. I just need a middle name right?". Rachel nodded as Zoey said,"I've got it Daddy or Zane! Hypernova!". Zane shook his head as he said,"I was thinking Zoey Ella Alvarez pumpkin. It's something normal.". "Okay!" said Zoey. She hugged him as Gwen said,"I bet Atem's going to be jealous.". "Nah. He loves sharing. Wolfram is going to be more jealous than he is anyway but who knows?" said Rachel.
She looked around as she said,"Wow. This place is so weird. I mean Lilith was making clones of you to have a son. She does know about adoption or about the Omniverse right? I mean she could have found a male version of your dad but nope, she took the hard way.". "Yeah but she should start with a cat first before a kid right?" said Zoey. "Yep." said Zane. The two smiled as Danny said,"Okay. You two are clones. So is she staying with you?". "It's her choice." said Zane. Zoey smiled at them.
An short amount of time later, it was a good time at the Alvarez's household. Natasha was currently hugging her granddaughter as she said while gushing over her,"You're just like me Zoey but more like your father at that age! You're so cute.". The girl was begging for air as Atem pouted. "Atem. Are you jealous of your sister?" said Rachel as Danny and Gwen agreed with her. "A little Auntie Rachel but at the same time, I'm not. I may like grandma but those hugs are lethal." said Atem.
Wolfram nodded in agreement as Gwen said,"So what are you going to do Zoey? You never answered us earlier.". "I'm going to travel around the world! I mean I like you guys a lot but I want to see the world!" said Zoey. Zane placed something in her hands as it was a pair of Galaxy Phones. "If you're going to come by Cypress Park Zoey, call me. I'll stop whatever it is I'm doing to see my daughter but do come often. Grandma wants to spend time with you plus both me and your brother." said Zane.
Atem slowly nodded as Zoey hugged Zane. She felt happy for once in her life as she looked at Atem with her saying,"Come join us big brother! We're family!". Rachel pushed him as he joined the family hug. Natasha wiped a tear away as she said,"So cute!". She took pictures as Danny said,"I'm so happy that I don't have my mom doing that yet.". "You soon will be if you and Gwen keep going the way they're going!" said Zoey. Danny and Gwen blushed. The little girl was soon gone as she flew off.
In an unknown location, four people were watching Zane's fight with Lilith. They were wearing silver robes with it having a marking of three spirals fused together all over the robe and it's the color of gold. "So what do you guys think? He's perfect right?" said one of the hooded figures. The voice sound masculine and excitable. "He's strong!" said a figure with it sounding like a little girl. "He's also quite kind to that young girl." said a figure. This voice sound like a mature woman.
A figure said who had a male voice but less hyper than the previous male,"Zane Vincent Alvarez is perfect for joining us. We'll be contacting him soon. I'm sure that he'll make a good member for the group but promise me this, no one will contact him until I say so right?". The other three nodded as the figure said,"Okay. Meeting adjourned.". The three figures were soon gone as the watching device was destroyed.
Meanwhile, Lilith sat in her main mansion. She was nursing her wounds that she got from Zane and she said,"I'll get him for this.". "Are you sure about this?" said a voice. "Yes. I'll be fine. You need to rest. I'm just happy that you were born my dear. This is just the best news I've heard all day. Just rest for now dear. You'll get your revenge on the Mistake and your DNA donor. I promise." said Lilith. "I promise that I won't let you down mother." said the voice.

Love is in the air at Cypress Park and well, things get pretty interesting when a jealous woman gets involved. This and more next time on Zero!
