Zero Episode 6 A Bookworm's Days

A/N: Welcome to Episode 6. We have met some enemies from Terrarune and also this strange one who captured both Volcanis and Wraith. Is he friend or foe? We may never now. I'm planning on this being something like a Saturday morning cartoon but with a god story, I do hope that it's a good thing for you because it's good with me. Lets begin at Monday a week after Episode 5. Oh and this title is related to a dog days note the Anime. Oh and all human like Phantoms will have different color skin than normal. Also all athletes of Cypress Park wear the same jacket as Brad.

Narrator P.O.V.
Danny said,"Dude! You're on the front page of the paper!". Zane put his arms behind his head and he said,"Do you really think I care?". The two were walking to school and Danny said,"Come on man. I mean you look really cool.". "True but I really don't like being used for tourism. I mean why would a city want to prioritize super villains." said Zane. "A city in serious need of tourism. I mean we have our Cypress Oxs." said Danny.

Zane said,"We also have other stuff here but I guess the tourist board is rather small and doesn't really have a lot of confidence in itself man.". "You really need to be more positive or you will be a goth or emo. There's a difference but I don't care." said Danny. "I would but that's not fun. I'm a realist buddy so how are the nano machines doing?" said Zane. Danny smiled and he said,"I love them man! Your mom is the freaking best!".

Zane said,"At least, you're not going mad with power yet.". "Don't worry man. I've only used this to actually have a pretty good G.P.A and not need you or Karen's help in studying." said Danny. "I think our study sessions are pretty nice." said Zane. "You just like having Kristen there. You two are good friends now right?" said Danny. "Yes and I don't want to make Bradley hate me more than he already does." said Zane.

Danny said,"I guess you're right. I think I can see the school.". "Let's test your powers a bit. What can you see from here?" said Zane. "Okay. Let me look. There's an assemble today man. I see Mr. Barnett flirted with Ms. Foster." said Danny. "Oh. That is rather normal for Cypress High." said Zane. "I think something about animals. Zane, I have a really bad feeling about today." said Danny. "I think we are on the same note here buddy." said Zane who sighed.

The boys were walking with Rachel with all of them holding boxes. All of the boxes had "Pets for Everyone!" with a picture of a cat, dog, and human shaking hands. "So explain to me why we are the ones breaking our backs again Rachel? I'm not a hard worker." said Zane. "It isn't my fault. I hundred percent blame Karen." said Rachel. "Wow. You're just awful. She's your friend." said Danny and Zane in unison. "I think you should be happy about this Alvarez." said a voice.

The three then saw the organizer of this week's assembly standing there with Gwen and Karen who weren't holding boxes but signs with the cat logo. She had dark brown skin with long and wavy waist length black hair. She has dark blue eyes. She is more buff and plump than say Gwen and Karen who made this point clear by standing next to them. She wears a violet sleeveless shirt with a green skirt and yellow tennis shoes.

She was wearing a pair of purple squarely earrings, an orange necklace, and she has two bracelets on each wrists with the right one being lime green and the left one being ocean blue. "We would be very happy about that except I hate this cause plus you Vicky/Victoria Mills." said Zane with a grimace. "I wonder why Zane hates Vicky." thought Gwen. She didn't know all of Zane's past just yet being that she's still learning.

Vicky rolled her eyes as she said,"This is actually important nerd. A pet can really change your life for the better.". "While you're not wrong, most people treat their pets like spoiled brats like you" said Zane. "I really think we shouldn't get involved." whispered Karen. "That is a good idea Karen." said Rachel. "So what's in here anywhere? I mean you just told me to carry this and honestly, I kinda want to know what it is." said Danny.

Gwen soon looked at the top of the box and she said,"Wow. Technology is quite advanced now. I mean inside of this box, there are robot cats.". She opened the box and she picked up a robotic kitten with it meowing. "Okay. This is seriously messed up!" said Zane. "You really don't understand the future Zit. How about you just go be a really negative jerk somewhere else? Just drop off the boxes in the auditorium." said Vicky who walked off.

Danny said,"Dude. She's totally right about something.". Zane then glared at him and he said,"And what would that be Danny old friend?". "You're being really negative Zane. I mean look how cute this thing is." said Rachel while holding the cat meowed. She gave her box to Zane with him groaning. "I really do like animals but real ones." said Zane. "Wow. I mean I don't blame you Zane but you should be happy for her Zane." said Karen. "No." said Zane whose Crisis Judgement went off.

The lockers around them began to shake and Gwen said,"Zane.". "Yep. I may be a peaceful and chill dude but sometimes, I need to release my anger." said Zane. A person stood there and he was dressed weird. His skin was a eerie and glowing green color. He was wearing a gray lab coat and trench coat hybrid with a hood over his head. He was wearing a black shirt with the symbol of a pink brain and no legs. His entire head was covered only showing that he had glowing red eyes.

Rachel said,"So whose this guy?". "I have many names girl. I was once called the electromagnetic lord of Earth but I've passed on to the Spectral Realm/Terrarune. My name is Astrino and you all going to be my puppets humans." said Astrino. "Power Up!" said Zane. He turned into Zero as Astrino moved his hands up. Several boxes flew up and he said,"Here's a special delivery of pain for you child!".

The boxes soon flew toward Zane with him creating a steel gray energy barrier. The blocks went to the sides of him. "You guys! Head toward the assembly and take Vicky her boxes!" said Zane as he deactivate Nether. "Why do you want her to get her way?" said Gwen. "He rather not deal with an angry Vicky." said Danny. The four were gone as Astrino said,"You're smarter than I thought. I heard a rumor. You somehow defeat Wraith with Steel Gray Nether. Interesting.".

Zane soon jumped toward him and he said,"What can I say? I'm really good with the color gray. You should get a taste of my gray thumb!". Astrino was hit by a giant energy thumb and he went to the wall. He then phased through it and Zane flew right after him. The two flew through the sky and they were in the rafters of the auditorium. "Okay. This isn't good." said Astrino who looked down to see several students waiting for the assemble to start.

Zane said,"Got a fear of getting your but kicked in front of a crowd?". "I was going to say the same thing about you boy but I think you're going to be made into a fool!" said Astrino. His eyes then glowed blue and he said,"You humans have done several plays about romance so how about you enjoy it from up close?". Zane's eyes widened as he started to see clothes ,from plays, flying toward him. "Okay. I better not destroy anything or I'll be really dead." thought Zane.

The Phantom looked down and he said to himself,"I can't let him figure out my ingenious plan so time for you to disappear!". Zane was then blinded by a spotlight and Astrino created a blue energy crystal sphere which he threw at Zane. He went flying toward the ground into some props and the collusion. "We will be fighting again soon Zero and next time, you will be crushed under my power!" said Astrino.

He was gone as Zane groaned. "Great. What's could make this worst?" said Zane. The curtain went up and Zane said,"Son of a....". Earlier, Gwen got in her seat in between Karen and Rachel. "So who was that guy anyway?" said Danny who sat to the right of Rachel. "He's a strange one but I have no doubt that Zane will have no problems defeating this guy." said Karen. "Yeah. I mean he defeated the best warrior right?" said Rachel.

Gwen saw Vicky walking toward the podium on the stage in front of the closed curtain. "I just hope that once Astrino is defeated, Vicky doesn't kill him." said Gwen. Vicky held the mic as she said,"My fellow students. I have to tell you that I truly have a way to make everyone have a pet even if they've allergies. Introduce the Robo-Pet!". The curtain then went up to show the poster with a giant black "Z" and the crowd was shocked by this.

Vicky turned around to see Zane who was holding a bucket of black paint and a paint brush. "Okay. I can totally explain this. You see it was......" said Zane. "ALVAREZ! YOU'RE DEAD!" yelled Vicky with the football team right behind her. "Okay. I guess Zane was right. He's dead." said Danny. Later that day, Zane was walking with Gwen and Rachel. "I do feel really bad for you Zane. I mean you got detention for how long?" said Rachel.

Gwen said,"I think it was a month.". "And I have to repair those stupid robots with my money. I mean I didn't have a chance to explain myself but they always side with the popular kids!" said Zane who punched the wall. The trio stopped in front of his locker and he said,"And since I have the worst luck in all of the realms, I have a new locker.". He held a paper and he said,"Okay. I had Locker 347 but now I have 497.".

The hallway got quiet and Rachel said,"Look at it Zane.". He turned to see a really rusty and very old locker with Zane said,"Are you serious Rae? I mean it isn't like I deal with supernatural stuff every day.". "Zane. I thought you would know about the legend of Locket 497. You have been a student longer than me." said Gwen. Zane opened his locker and he saw a diamond-framed mirror hanged in the back. He touched it and it was shining.

Zane said,"So what's the deal? I mean you're freaking out Gwen and you're scared of a..". His Danger Sense then went off and he was slammed into the mirror. "Hey! Have a closer look at it Zitty!" said a cocky voice. Brad stood there with two members of the football team plus Kristen who wasn't happy about that. "What do you want Brad?" said Gwen. "Oh. Did I make the little witch girl mad? I know the perfect thing to make you happy." said Brad with a smile.

He lifted Zane up and he threw him into his locker with him slamming the door shut. The three jocks walked away laughing and Kristen said,"I'm sorry about that Zane.". "This locker is rumored to be cursed but I guess you know that now." said Rachel. Zane kicked the door open and he fell down. "He is a jerk. I don't get why you would date this guy." said Zane who growled. "Bradley can be good and I'll see you in Bio. Bye Zane." said Kristen.

She then walked off as Gwen said,"So I know that you're not a petty guy but Bradley or Bolt has gone too far. He and his friends need to get some payback.". "Gwen. I thought Eon would teach that using your powers like that would be in the wrong. You know the saying Gwen. With every action, there's a good and bad reaction. We better get to class." said Zane. "You're right Zane." said Rachel. The three walked off as a voice said,"Time to avenge them.".

Later, Zane was hanging with Danny and Karen who was in the boy's gym class. They were in the bleachers. "So Zane. I heard a awful rumor of you getting Locker 497." said Karen. "So sorry for you bro." said Danny. "It isn't that bad you guys. I mean cleaning up the boys's locker room after football practice is far worse. I think the team is going to make my life a living hell the next couple of weeks all because of my bad luck." said Zane.

Karen said,"So is it actually cursed?". "Don't worry so much Karen. I mean if it is, I'll be able to take care of it with this!" said Danny. His hands turned into emerald green gauntlets with the boy saying with a smile,"The Phantom Smashers! I will able to actually fight alongside you and help you out man as a hero.". "Thanks man. I'm sure that I'll be fine because well, practice makes perfect." said Zane who soon slapped Danny to make sure that no one saw his power.

Later, Zane was at his locker and he turned over to see one of the jocks with him bullying one of the less popular kids with his fellow jock. The bullying jock had chin length black hair with streaks of green in it, brown eyes, and a huge smirk on his face aka Bryan Jones. "Hey Dweeb! What's for lunch today?" said Bryan. "Um. I think it is..." said the kid. Bryan punched him and he said,"A Knuckle Sandwich!". The two jocks laughed as Zane sighed with closing his locker.

The locker was glowing pink and the voice said,"Time to avenge.". Bryan stood there with his fellow jock grabbed the less popular kid's glasses. "Go long man!" said the jock. Bryan rushed away with the other jock throwing the glasses down the hallway. Zane's locker door opened and it hit Bryan directly in his face. He was out cold with the other jock shocked and confused. The glasses landed back on the unpopular kid and he walked off more confused.

A boy with glasses was pushing a projector on a cart with Hannah who stop the car with her foot and she leaned on it. "This stuff is so cool." said Hannah. Austin Lawrence ,who is a good member of the football team along with being a Korean with short black hair and blue eyes, had sneaked behind the dweeb and Hannah said,"Could you like teach me how it works stud?". The boy had secretly tied his shoelaces together and the voice said,"Time to avenge.".

The pink glow appeared once again from Zane's locker and it went flying across the ground. It ended as it hit the mask of the school's mascot aka a ox. It caused Austin to stumble around the hall before he collided directly with the fire extinguisher. The case opened up and the foam came flying out with it hitting Hannah causing a high pitch scream with the glass breaking. The pink energy went toward the dweeb whose shoelaces were back to normal with the boy not the wiser.

It was lunchtime and at the A-listers table, they were spooked. "And out of nowhere, Zit's locker door went open and knocks me out like being hit by an bull!" said Bryan. Hannah was trying to get out of the foam out of her hair and she said,"I'm like going to like brushing this gunk of my hair for like a hair or something!". "It's totally like this place is haunted!" said Austin who shivered. Nearby them, the group (Danny, Gwen, Karen, Rachel, and Zane) were eating lunch.

Gwen glared at Zane who said,"Okay. Stop with the look. I swear to Buddha and Gandhi that I didn't lift a finger.". Rachel looked over at Brad who was about to sit down in between Austin and Bryan but he dumped his food on Kristen who was anger. She glared at him and he said,"I swear babe! It's a ghost!". She glared at him and she walked over to the bathroom. "You're here so you couldn't have done it." said Rachel. "I'm just impressed that you haven't used your powers for evil." said Karen.

Vicky entered the cafeteria and Zane said,"And I'm going to be hiding you guys.". He then hid under the table and Danny said,"Dude. She isn't even looking for you. It's good that someone got revenge for Erin Palmer.". "Erin Palmer?" said Gwen and Zane. "Erin Palmer was the last person who had your locker and this was over twenty years ago." said Karen. "Wow. That's old." said Rachel with a confused look. "So why is my locker cursed?" said Zane.

Karen said,"Well, Erin was a really popular girl and even more than Vicky, Hannah, Kristen, and Roxy combined.". "That doesn't sound so bad." said Gwen. "Well, everyone has enemies and boy, she had her enemies. She died thanks to them right before a big dance at her college. There's a rumor that her ghost haunts her locker to this very day." said Karen. "Creepy." said Rachel who shivered. "I do feel bad for her." said Zane. "I want to see a picture of her." said Danny.

The girls sighed and Vicky stood there with an angry gaze. "What? I didn't do anything to you in the past couple of hours. It's a record lady." said Zane. "Listen Zit. You and your dorky friends are so the cause of what happened to Austin, Bryan, and Brad so I think you should get your just desserts." said the girl who ducked. Zane was pelted with several pies and the room started to laugh at him. "Wow. I can't believe his luck." said Danny.

Brad said with Bryan and Austin,"Hey guys. Check out Zane here. He looks like a clown just like his mom!". Zane wiped the dessert off his face and for a second, his eyes glowed red. "You need to calm down Zane." said Karen. "Thanks Kar....." said Zane. He was then attacked by several plates of food and Brad said,"I just thought you need the whole meal Zit.". He and his friends walked off as Zane grumbled to the locker room. "Poor guy." said Gwen.

Brad was at his locker in a student-less hallway and he was humming a tune. Zane stood there and he said,"Karma Brad.". His danger sense went off with him noticing that that his locker was beginning to glow pink. "Shit. I have to stop Astrino." thought Zane. He jumped into the broom closet and he turned into Zero. He turned invisible as he saw Brad getting lifted into the air. He was thrown like a football and into a trash can. "Ouch. I actually feel bad for him a bit." said Zane.

He then saw a girl pop out of his locker and he said,"Wow. She's really cute. I'm so weird.". She had orange hair that goes up to her shoulders and aqua blue eyes which looked warm. She wears a cute pair of black and white-framed glasses with clear frames. She was wearing a long-sleeve v-neck green shirt, black pants, and a pair of simple black flats. She was wearing a black and white headband with a aqua colored dolphin on the top of it. She had light blue skin.

She looked at Zane and she said,"Hey. Can you see me?". "In a way yes." said Zane. "I can't believe it!" said the girl. She hugged him and Zane said,"What's wrong?". "It's been a long time that I have been on Earth and I get to see the reincarnation of Johnny Vincent! Everyone will be so happy to see you again!" said the girl. Zane let her go and he said,"Listen miss. My name is Zane Alvarez or in this form Zero. I'm not Johnny Vincent.".

The girl said with a confused look,"My name is Erin Palmer but my friends call me Aqua. So why do you have his aura? I can sense it inside of you and it's fighting against a Sorcerer.". Zane was quiet as the two heard,"How cute. I guess the rumors were right about you kid.". Astrino stood there with his arms crossed. "Astrino! What are you doing here?!" said Zane with his hands glowing red.

Astrino who was crackling his knuckles said,"Easy boy. I just came here to get back on you and also make you pay for hurting her.". "Zero. We have to run now!" said Erin. "Why Aqua? I can totally handle this guy. I did defeated Wraith." said Zane. "Oh really? You completely defeated that brat but compared to me, he is nothing." said Astrino. His hands glowed blue and the two saw the lockers were glowing blue. They opened and anything inside flew outside.

Inside of the cafeteria, several lunch trays suddenly hit into students and Karen whispered,"Do you think Zane is doing this?". "No. Even with his power, he isn't able to do something on this level. That Phantom must be back." said Gwen. "Lets go stop him Gwen!" said Danny. He ran out of the room as the girls ran after him. The others in the cafeteria ran out of the school for a different reasons. In one of the science labs, the equipment was cracking and exploded.

Back in the hallway, Erin and Zane had several amount of school supplies fly through them. "You should fight me man to man!" said Zane. "I would but you aren't a man after what you did! You are a monster JV!" said Astrino. A red ray came out of his eyes which slam directly into Zane which launched him right through a wall. "Zane!" said Erin. She flew off as Astrino smiled as he followed the two.

Meanwhile, Kristen was at her locker. She just return from the locker room after cleaning herself up due to Brad's food bath. "So why the hell am I dating Brad again? He's such a slob!" thought Kristen with a sigh. While walking away, she didn't noticed or see Zane ,who was invisible, flying above her with Astrino. "Die bastard!" said Astrino with a noticeable glare. His left arm transformed into a giant mechanical version of itself and it smashed Zane into the ground.

He was out cold and back to Zane. Erin found Zane and she went over to him. Astrino landed on the ground and Zane's friends found them. "My name is Erin Palmer. I've always been there for the geeks and the ones who can't defend themselves!" said Erin. She flew toward Astrino but he turned intangible. She went flying toward the lockers. Danny helped Zane up and he said,"So is that the person who owned your locket last? She's cute for a dead girl.".

Astrino said with his power gathering,"You humans are extremely disgusting. I do hope you enjoy this!". In his right hand, a computer monitor appeared and he threw it at Zane. Gwen then made an green magic circle which blocked the monitor causing the screen to crash into the ground. "Fine. I guess you will live a little longer boy. See you again Johnny Vincent, Zero, or should I call you Cross-Species." said Astrino who turned into a puff of smoke.

Zane later woke up in the nurse's office and he said,"Man. What hit me? It felt like I was being hit by a septa bus.". His Danger Sense went off with him looking to his left and he saw Erin looking right at them . "You're awake Johnny!" said Erin. She hugged him and he said,"It's Zane Erin.". "Oh right Zane! I forgot for a second. Sorry." said Erin Zane sat up and he said,"What happened?". "Astrino is a level 8 Phantom and you're at best Level 5. You didn't stand a chance." said Erin.

Zane said,"Thanks for the ray of confidence there Aqua.". "It's true." said Erin. "So where is the freak with the hood?" said Zane. "Your Sorcerer friend and the boy ran after he cleaned your clock earlier. Everyone in Terrarune talks about you. You're half Sorcerer meaning you're able to cast spells and you're half Phantom meaning you're able to use Nether. Why stick with the steel gray variation by the way?" said Erin.

Zane said,"I've tried to do the other ones but I can't Aqua. According to my teachers, there is some sort of mental block. This may sound rude but what are you still doing here?". "Well, I just feel like being here. I mean your friend with the glasses and black hair had glasses plus you're the only one who can actually comfort me like you did." said Erin. "I have an idea to fix that so let me get you a body." said Zane.

Later, Zane was walking with Erin who looked more human before. "Wow. That's impressive. What is that called?" said Zane. "It's called Human Shift. Phantoms are able to turn into humans with this little trick." said Erin. "Hey! Give me my drink!" yelled a voice. The two saw Brad and he was mad at the soda machine. "Should we help him?" said Erin. "I got this." said Zane. He hit the machine right and the can came out.

Brad drinks it and he crushed the can. "Thanks Alvarez." said Brad. "No problem." said Zane. "Hey. I will convince the teachers to lighten up on your detention if you help me get a couple of sodas for me and my friends." said Brad. "Sure thing." said Zane. He punch the machine as several sodas came out with Brad smiling. "How did you do that? I mean that machine has always been a piece of shit even since my days as a student." said Erin.

Zane said,"You need the magic touch Aqua.". He threw the sodas toward the team and he said with a smile,"We square now?". "Yeah. You're not so bad Alvarez." said Austin who punched Zane. "So this is new." said Kristen. She then stood there with Hannah, Roxy, and Susan Young. Roxy Lydia Stars has shoulder length platinum blond hair, green eyes, and a perfect figure. She is wearing a pair of black knee high suede boots, a dark purple mini skirt with a hot pink belt, and a matching crop top.

Susan Young had shoulder length brown hair with a handful of the hair being in a ponytail, brown eyes, and a darker skin than her friends. She was wearing a orange/yellow sweater with a white top under it, brown jeans, and blue tennis shoes. "I can't believe how nice Zane is being to them! He knows about the social order right?!" said Hannah. "I don't think he cares." said Susan. "Yeah." said Roxy with a smirk.

Brad said,"Alvarez!". The jocks cheered to Zane with Danny and Gwen ,who had lost Astrino's Aura earlier, came in. Gwen said,"Wow. What did we miss?". "I guess Zane helped the A-listers out." said Danny. "He used his magic touch to give his pals sodas." said Erin. "Yeah. So who are you? I feel like I know you from somewhere." said Danny. "Aqua is borrowing her body for a while." said Zane as he handed his friends a soda.

Austin put his arms around Zane with him saying,"Hey Z man. We are short one for touch football so are you in man?". "Sure thing. I'm in." said Zane. "Sweet bro." said Austin. The cross-species was dragged by the jock and Danny said,"This isn't a good sign guys.". "Yeah. JV is going to school them. He used to be able to make college football players bad." said Erin. "I see. So whose is JV?" said Gwen. "JV's Zane but the young version." said Erin. "Huh?" said the two.

Later, Erin was sitting with Danny, Gwen, Karen, and Rachel in the stands of the football field and the track. "I still can't believe that Zane is doing this." said Rachel. "I guess Zane is trying to be more social." said Karen. "That's a nice thought Karen. I really feel like Zane is planning something evil." said Gwen. "He won't would he?" said Erin. "I guess you really don't know Zane. He may not like fighting but he doesn't mind doing a prank." said Danny.

On the field, Zane was in a group with the jocks and Brad said,"Okay Alvarez. After the snap, you will handle the ball got it?". Zane nodded and thanks to his very enhanced hearing,"After he gets the ball, we will attack him got it?". "Oh. You'll get it." thought Zane. The two groups got ready for the football snap. Bryan snapped the ball to Brad who winked at the other group who got the signal. Brad threw the ball to Zane with both teams rushing toward him.

Karen said with her hands covering her eyes,"Well, it was nice knowing him.". "Zane'll become a full Phantom now." said Gwen. The teams were about to tackle Zane to the ground but Zane dodged their tackle by jumping over them. He walked to the other side of the field and Kristen said,"Wow. I didn't see that coming.". Zane threw the ball down and he said,"Well, I guess you guys got schooled by a nerd. How tragic.".

Kristen hugged Zane and she said,"That's awesome Zane!". "Thanks Kristen." said Zane. Hannah sighed and she said,"I guess you're not so bad Zane.". "Okay. Did you just compliment me?" said Zane with fake shock. "Shut up Alvarez!" said Hannah. "Hey! Whose up for a party at Alvarez's place?!" said Brad. The crowd cheered and Zane thought to himself,"I'll be able to clean it up before they get home right?".

Rachel said,"Wow. Zane's really having the life that he always wanted.". "Yeah but we're actually going to a cool party. I mean cheerleaders are going to be there." said Danny. Erin felt something and Gwen said,"What's wrong?". "Nothing. I just have to talk with Zane about something." said the girl. She walked down and Vicky walked up to Zane. "Hey Zane. I was thinking that if you actually said something about my cause, you won't have any detention." said Vicky.

Zane pondered for a bit and he said,"Nah. I mean those things are freaks of nature. They may be our pets now but they may attack us.". "I think you're crazy man. I mean look at this thing. It's actually kind of nice." said Bryan holding a robot puppy. Zane's danger sense went off as the robotic pets then attacked the crowd surrounding them. "Told you so." said Zane. He looked up and Astrino was above them with the clouds gathering above him.

Zane thought,"I need to get out of here.". Astrino looked down and he said,"Why do you hide from me JV? I thought you would try and stop me like you did back then. I mean you're nothing but a freak now. I guess I should bring you out of your hiding spot.". The robots went toward each other and Zane thought,"Uh oh. I need to run.". Zane turned to see that his crowd of students were watching Astrino who were making the robots dance and the boy face palmed.

He made his way behind the bleachers and he saw the rest of his friends. "So why is he to begin with and how did he get here from Terrarune to begin with?" said Danny. "Well, there is a rumor inside the Spectral Realm. It involves doors heading toward Earth. My home/territory/zone is nearby a door aka a mirror and that's how I got here." said Erin. "So how did Astrino get here?" said Karen. "I'm just lost about him to begin with. He's entertain them now with the robots." said Rachel.

Gwen said,"It doesn't matter how he got here you guys. We need to send him right back to Terrarune before he causes some real trouble.". "Wait. I have a idea. We need your mirror Erin." said Zane with a smile. "Okay. I'll go with her to get it since I can break into a locker without slashing in pieces no offense Gwen." said Danny. "Okay. I'll try and get the others away so you two can fight mano a mano." said Gwen. "We'll help. Kick some but Zane." said Karen and Rachel.

The three girls ran off with Danny and Erin running to the school. "Power Up!" said Zane. Zane turned into a superhero and he went flying toward Astrino. The hooded Phantom didn't see Zane and he was in the ground thanks to Zane turning his legs into a bulldozer blade. The crowd of students was gone as Astrino smiled. "Ah. I got your attention Johnny boy. Time to make you feel the thunder of Jealously!" said Astrino.

The clouds ,that were formed above Astrino, went over to Zane with them producing thunder. They were blue and Zane evaded them. "Okay. I'm really getting sick of this storm of yours boy. I think you need a bright outlook!" said Zane. His eyes glowed red with him creating a giant ball of fire and Astrino thought,"What is that!? That isn't Animus or Nether! I thought he was the one able to do that one kind of energy. This attack of his is something else.".

Zane said,"Feel my anger! Nuclear Eruption!". The ball ,that Zane used on George, flew right toward Astrino and the Phantom moved the robotic pets in front of him. They created a make shift shield and the ball of fire collided with the metal. It caused an explosion with Astrino's hood being blown off and Zane held himself in the ground with energy spikes. The smoke vanished from their battlefield and Astrino's head was revealed.

He has glowing red eyes and under his eyes, he had a single gold stripe going horizontal. He had long silver hair with it covering his entire head including his eyes. Zane could obviously see his pulsing and glowing green brain. "Dude. I think you need to wear a bandanna over your head. I mean your brain is sticking out and pumping right now." said Zane pointing to his head. "I know that JV but I don't care. This is how I died and became Astrino." said Astrino.

Zane said,"How about you tell me how you died and we stop this fighting?". "Excuse me? You are Zero! Hater of Phantoms!" said Astrino with him putting his hood over his head. "That was the last Zero Astrino. I'm the one who likes Phantoms so how about we talk on the roof? If you refuse, I will end your life." said Zane. Astrino shivered as Zane's aura increased. "Okay. Let us have our chat on the roof JV." said Astrino. He was gone as Zane said,"I'm not Johnny Vincent!".

The two sat on the roof with Astrino said,"If you try and attack me, I'll kill you and everyone in the city with ease.". Zane went back to normal and he said,"I'm not going to attack you Astrino. Tell me how you died and became a Phantom.". "You're really smart or stupid JV." said Astrino. "My name is Zane Vincent Alvarez not Johnny Vincent." said Zane. The man laughed and he said,"I guess you're not him. JV is confident about himself unlike you.".

Zane sighed and Astrino said,"I was once a student like you and I had a crush on a girl who was out of my league with me meaning that. I tried to impress her by being her tutor in English but I pissed off her suitor aka a greaser.". "Wait. How old are you?" said Zane. He dodged a giant bolt of lightning and Astrino said,"Ignoring that comment. It was the night of the Spring Bash when I was corner by them. They dumped gas on me.".

Zane said,"I'm going to guess that in your haste to get rid of the gas, you found a match or you got in a heated situation.". "You are a smart kid. When I came to, I met this Phantom who helped me and I came back to get my revenge on those jerks but they're long gone now." said Astrino. "Hey Astrino." said Zane. "It's Aster." said Aster. "Well Aster, I'm sorry about this but I have to send you back." said Zane.

Aster said,"I understand why but may I come back?". "If you don't cause too much trouble, sure thing Aster." said Zane. The Phantom nodded and he said,"You and JV have something in common young Zero. You're both very kind and open.". Zane sent him back like he did with Wraith but this time, it wasn't because of a fight. Zane made a mental note to go search for Aster and honor a person who didn't deserve to die the way he did.

He then phased through the roof and he walked to his locker. He opened the door and he saw that the mirror was long gone. He pulled out his phone and he called Danny. "Hey man. Where did you take Erin's Mirror?" said Zane. "Well, I picked it up and Erin disappeared from our realm. I then used my Sky Cycle and drove/flew toward your mom's place. Arturo and her are looking at it right now." said Danny.

Zane took a sigh of relief and he said,"That's good to know. I was worried that one of the jocks saw her mirror and broke it while I was fighting Aster.". "Aster? Don't you mean Astrino?" said Danny. "I think that's his Phantom Name. Grandpa told me that some Phantoms change their names once they became Phantoms. He was once a student here at Cypress High way back in the day." said Zane. "So you didn't kick his but all the way to the Spectral Realm?" said Danny.

Zane looked at his left hand and he said,"No. I'm not like the previous Zeros before me buddy. I am half Phantom and Half Sorcerer. I'll try to stop a Phantom before I kick their buts.". "Sound like a plan buddy. Good luck. I told the others about Erin." said Danny. "And why didn't you tell me about this first?" said Zane. "I thought you and Astrino were still fighting so I didn't want to bother you at all man." said Danny. "Okay. I'll see you soon." said Zane.

He hanged up and he took a deep breath. "Alvarez!" yelled a voice. Zane turned around to see Vicky and a group of students who had badges and signs for the robo-pets. "Yeah? I didn't do anything to the freaks of nature." said Zane. "It isn't that dork." said Brad. "Then what? I have to get home right now." said Zane who was getting worried about Erin. "You better show up for it or else." said Vicky who pushed him to the ground.

The group except for Kristen was gone as she said,"You alright?". "Compared to being punched by a griffin, that was being hit by a bird." thought Zane. "I'm good. So what's are they talking about?" said Zane who slowly stood up. "Football try outs. You should try out Zane." said Kristen. She lightly kiss his cheek and she said,"I'll cheer you on Alvarez.". She walked away as Zane touch his cheek. "That was awesome. Lets do it." thought Zane. He was gone and flying home.

Zero Episode 5 Hero vs Hunter

A/N: Yep. This and Episode 5 take place around the same time. I at first wanted to make Episode 4 longer than it was before but it was getting too long for me. I'm doing this series because of the fact that Fairy Tail is well pissing me off. I mean if you're a fan like I am, this latest chapter just piss you off. I mean just wow. You hype up END for three years since the Sun Village arc and then you just get rid of it. Pissed me off and I'm a hater of Natsu and Lucy because they keep on showing it and we get it so do something else for Pete's Sake. Anyway, lets begin.

Narrator P.O.V.
Arturo was sipping on tea and Danny said,"So I have a question for you Arturo?". The boy along with Karen and Rachel asked to speak with Arturo. Edgar and Natasha were nearby in the kitchen. Arturo said,"So you're curious about me and my origin are you? It's a good thing that Zane is out on his little date of his.". "You're really mysterious sir because you're at least 100 hundred years old." said Karen with a small frown. "You are a sweet talker Karen. I'm at least triple that." said Arturo.

Rachel said,"Three hundred?". "I'll just say that I'm older than you think but not old as the universe though." said Arturo. "Anyway, why did you finally see Zane after sixteen years? I mean is it because he is a superhero?" said Danny. "You may be right Daniel but I may just wanted to see my grandson and daughter. I could be dying or missing the only family I have. I may be a king but money doesn't make you happy." said Arturo.

The doorbell went off as Karen said,"I'll get it Ms. Alvarez!". She left the living room and she opened the door. She saw Kristen with Zane ,with it being a clone of Zane, and she said with fear in her voice,"Kristen?! What happened to Zane?!". "He passed out when we were at the zoo." said Kristen. The rest of the house came over and Arturo said,"Oh. I see Daniel, do you mind taking Zane up to his room?". "Um sure thing Mr. Alvarez." said Danny.

Danny took Zane upstairs and Natasha said,"Are you okay my dear?". "No! I mean the doctors told me that Zane didn't have any body heat in him at all. Is he okay?" said Kristen. "He'll be fine. Zane's been sick lately. He didn't want to go out tonight but I pushed him." said Arturo. "Well, I'll come by tomorrow to check up on him." said Kristen. She left and Rachel said,"So is that the real Zane?". "It's obvious that he's a clone. Lets go on a adventure finding him." said Arturo.

Grady looked at Zane who was asleep in their stolen hospital bed. After freeing Estelle from her cage, he passed out with him changing back to his normal self. "I can't believe that he's Zero. The kid is the protector of the realms Zero. He's also half Phantom just like us but he's also half Sorcerer like those jerks. I know that I should trust him but he saved Estelle's life from Wraith so we'll be pals for now but that will change." thought Grady.

Estelle looked at Zane and she said,"So? What are we going to do with him?". "Well, he's too tired to fight right now so we're going to protect him from Wraith." said Grady. "Are you sure about that? I mean he's half Sorcerer and they're jerks.". "Yeah but I feel like this one isn't a jerk. I mean he must have known about us being Phantoms like him so let be nice to him okay? He saved your life." said Grady. "Okay but if he does anything, he's dead." said Estelle whose hands lit on fire.

Zane slowly began to wake up and he said,"So hungry.". "Hungry?" said the two. "Yeah. I mean my powers are really nice but they drain me like a battery. I have a hyper-accelerated metabolism which means I'm always hungry." said Zane. "So what do you eat kid?" said Grady. "If you look in my bag you two, you'll find out what." said Zane. Estelle opened the bag and she said,"You eat Energy Bars kid?".

Zane said,"They're not normal energy bars miss. They have more calories than anything ever made and according to my grandpa, nothing will beat it.". "Estelle. Throw him on." said Grady. The bird threw him one and he caught it. "Nice catch." said Estelle. "Thanks. So why are you two? I mean I don't mind you being here so do you mind telling me why?" said Zane as he bit into the bar. "We're on the run from our families." said Grady.

Zane said,"Why?". "My family didn't want me dating someone like Grady and it was the same thing for Grady except his friends were being jerks." said Estelle. "Yeah. It sucked but we're still together after twenty years." said Grady. "You two are just like Romeo and Juliet. They were a tragic couple to say the least. I promise on the name of Zero, I'll make sure that you're safe and able to express your love like normal people." said Zane.

Estelle hugged him and Zane said,"Does she do this often?". "She has a hard time trusting people that aren't me kid. I mean you just accept us even though you're half Sorcerer. Lets just say that Phantoms and Sorcerers have a rivalry to say the very least kid. You're not so bad in our fight but I think with a weapon, you'll be lethal man." said Grady. "Thanks but I don't fight unless my friends or family are in danger. I'm a Buddhist after all sometimes." said Zane.

Estelle said,"So what do you need us to do kid? We want to help you defeat Wraith.". "I want to learn more about him so lets head back to my place and have my grandpa explain more about Wraith." said Zane. "Sure thing. Oh and my name is Grady by the way. This is my mate/lover Estelle. She's able to use blue fire which is special to her kind. I'm just a super strong dude." said Grady. "You showed me that in our fight earlier today." said Zane.

Grady slapped his back and he said,"So whose your grandpa?". "Um. how should I say it?" said Zane who pondered for a while. "What's wrong?" said Estelle. "You know the king of the Spectral Land right?" said Zane. "Yeah. I haven't met the dude but he's a good dude from what I hear." said Grady with Estelle agreed with him. "Well, he is my grandpa." said Zane. The two Phantoms fainted on the spot and Zane said,"I hope those Energy Bars help me fly these two home.".

A little bit later in the Alvarez household, Danny was about to go find his best friend. Arturo told him to wait but he was getting annoyed. "I hope you're okay man." said Danny. He looked up and he saw that Zane had phased through the wall with him holding Estelle and Grady. "Hey man. Do you mind helping me with these two before you give me a Malone hug." said Zane. The two boys placed the two in the living room and Danny said,"Okay. What happened to you?".

Zane said,"Well, it's a long story....". "Hey Danny! We found...." said a voice. The boys then turned around to see Karen standing there and she screamed. Danny covered his ears and he said,"Karen! I know that you were worried about Zane. Heck, I was too but you should know that Zane has really good hearing.". He turned to see Zane who was looking at his gloves. "Why aren't you in pain from her?" said Danny.

Zane said,"Trust me. Her scream is actually pretty quiet compared to anything Hannah does. I mean her voice can break glass.". "He's right Dan." said Rachel. Karen calmed down and Natasha hugged her son. "You're okay!" said Natasha. "Yeah mom." said Zane. The three woman looked at the two sleeping on the couch and they said,"Who are they?". "They're Prince Grady of the Griffin Kingdom and Princess Estelle of the Phoenix Empire." said Arturo. "Huh. I didn't know that." said Zane.

The next morning, Zane woke up and he felt better. After sleeping, he looked at his watch and it was back at 100%. After putting on some clothing, he felt somehow better. He didn't tell his mother or his friends but when he got his powers, he felt strange. It was like he wasn't normal anymore but a freak of nature. He was lucky that his family and friends cared about him even with superpowers. He heard a knock and he said,"Come in.".

Arturo stood there with Edgar resting on his shoulder and he said,"Zane. You're missing breakfast and I think Grady is actually a bigger glutton than you which is somewhat scary.". "Hey grandpa. So were you born a Phantom or were you a human?" said Zane. "Ah. I understand why you've been acting off the past couple of days. Your mother and friends haven't noticed it but I have. Edgar, tell Natasha that Zane is awake but he needs some advice from his grandfather." said Arturo.

The bird squawk and it flew off. Arturo closed the door and he said,"So. What's wrong my boy?". "I don't know why but ever since I got my powers, I feel like a freak." said Zane. "I see. You know that this is normal right?" said Arturo. "It is?" said Zane. "When a person becomes a Phantom, they will almost always go through the five stages of grief. You know what they are right Zane? I think your mother taught you that." said Arturo .

Zane said,"She did. You're talking about Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, and Acceptance. So am I in Denial grandpa?". "You haven't been denying your power at all if your mother's research is correct. You aren't taking your anger out on your bullies because you only fight if you need to and you aren't bargaining away your power. I say that you're in Depression." said Arturo. "Is it normal for a Phantom to go this fast?" said Zane.

Arturo said,"Not at all Zane. Most of the time, it takes years for a Phantom but since you're like your father, I suspect that's why you're going so fast.". The old man then placed his hand on his grandson's shoulder and he said,"Enjoy your youth Zane. You can only live it once even if you're an immortal child.". He walked out of the room and Zane's senses went off. Wraith appeared in his room and he said,"Hello Zero. We meet again.".

Zane was about to go Zero but Wraith made a energy net trapping him to the wall. "Hey Zane. Are you alright in there?" said Danny's voice from the other side of the door. Wraith looked at him and he said in a low tone that Zane could hear,"You better not tell your human friend about this or else, I will kill them in front of you.". "I'm fine man! Tell my mom I'm going out to do some training in the woods." said Zane.

Danny said,"Okay man!". He ran off as Wraith said,"You're quite the strange one. You're the son of the king of Terrarune but you live like a weak human.". He looked around and Zane said,"Why are you after Grady and Estelle?". "They're not supposed to be together kid. I was hired by their families to stop their relationship. A job is a job.". "I won't let you hurt them! Power Up!" said Zane who turned into Zero.

He broke out of the energy net and he punched Wraith flying toward the wall. "You are strong but I'm stronger!" said Wraith. He punched Zane and before he went flying into the wall, he then turned intangibility. He went flying and Wraith stood there. "I thought you would be worthy of my time but I think killing you along with bring back...." said Wraith. He was blasted back by a steel gray energy fist with him glaring at Zane with the teen's hands were glowing.

Wraith thought,"This kid... He reminded me of him so dam much. Why? He died over ten years ago and it broke their hearts. I need answers.". "Hey kid." said Wraith. "I'm not a kid! I'm a teenager and I think you're slightly older than me." said Zane whose hands were still glowing. "Kid. Why the hell do you have the same Nether as Johnny Vincent?!" said Wraith. "Johnny Vincent?" said Zane. "I will end you before I take them back." said Wraith. He was gone as Zane sighed.

Later that day, Zane was walking with Danny who said,"So the guy hunting Estelle and Grady was in your room earlier?". The two were heading to go see a movie and Zane said,"Yeah. He also thought that I was this guy named Johnny Vincent.". "Johnny Vincent? Your middle name is Vincent right bro?" said Danny. "We've been best friends for how long?" said Zane. "A long time but that's weird how he would know that. Do you think you're being stalked?" said Danny looking around.

Zane sighed and he said,"If I was, my Crisis Judgement would go off fast.". "You're right. I mean you are going to be a pain for surprise parties." said Danny. "That isn't the point of the power. I mean it is used to protect myself." said Zane. "So what are you going to do about Wraith?" said Danny. "I have what you asked for Zane." said a voice. Danny turned around to see Gwen standing there and she said with her hands up,"I'm not really here by the way Daniel.".

Danny said,"So where are you? We were worried about you.". "I'm currently in Taelmelan for magic studies. I may have graduated earlier but I'm required to show up three days every couple of weeks or so." said Gwen. "Oh. That makes sense. So how did Zane contact you? I mean Rachel said that you have limited cell service." said Danny. "Oh. That's because Zane knows a communication spell. Our master/teacher says that spell is far more important in times of danger." said Gwen.

Danny said,"So can me, Karen, and Rachel learn it?". "Yes and I'll teach it once I get back. May I tell you the information?" said Gwen. "Yes." said Zane. "Wraith was once a hunter who was able to find a target and capture it. He was the best at what he did until he died by the hands of a giant elephant or was it a mammoth?" said Gwen. "Should we ask how a mammoth met a human? I mean was he from the age where Mammoth were around?" said Danny.

Gwen said,"No. He died long after the Pilocene/Holocene epoch. Eon once told me that time vortex sometimes open up but for only a minute or so before closing up. I'm guessing Wraith or should I say William was in the wrong place at the wrong time.". "I see. Do you mind texting me the rest of it? We got company and it ain't the friendly kind if my Crisis Judgement has anything to say about it." said Zane. Gwen nodded as she disappeared.

Danny looked around and he said,"So is Wraith here?". "No. Kristen." said Zane. "She's a danger to you man? I mean she was worried sick about you yesterday. I mean your clone did pass out after you flew off with Grady. Why did that happen anyway?" said Danny. "That clone I made was an energy clone and it drains my internal battery fast. I didn't expect for it flying off. So does she know about my secret bro?" said Zane. "What secret?" said a voice.

The boys turned around to see Kristen standing there. "Um....." said the two. "Come on dweebs. You can tell me what's going on. I don't bite." said Kristen. "Yeah but your friends do. I thought you only wanted to see Zane yesterday." said Danny. "I want to see Zane not you so how about you buzz off Dorky?" said Kristen. "Danny. Before you attack her, I think I should talk with her alone. She isn't going to hurt me so you can calm down." said Zane.

Danny then placed his hands in his pockets and he said,"What do you want with him Kristen?". "You better answer him correctly Kristen because my buddy here is rather overprotective over me. I think it's because we're brothers from another mother." said Zane who smiled. "Okay. I want to make my family proud after what happened to my brother. He's a punk now when he used to be a star student and if I fail, I will hurt my family more." said Kristen who looked down.

Danny said,"I don't trust. She could be tricking us man.". "I'll be fine man. I'll meet you and the rest of the gang at the theater okay? This won't take long." said Zane. Danny walked off and Kristen said to Zane,"Wow. He is overprotective.". "I told you that I don't fight Brad and the rest of them because I am a pacifist at heart. So what do you need help with?" said Zane. Kristen pulled out her phone and she said,"Look!".

Zane chuckled and he said,"Okay. I don't get how and why your parents would let you wear that on Halloween.". Kristen blushed and she said,"Not that! My Paper for Ms. Foster!". Zane looked it over and Kristen thought,"Wow. He sticks out more than normal with the pink phone.". "Wow. I can't say that I'm not impressed. I mean you made this in a day. So what's your problem?" said Zane while he handed her phone back.

Kristen said,"Really? You didn't see anything wrong?". "Nope. I mean this is A+ work and I love the interview from the owner of the family. This is great stuff Kristen so be the confident cheerleader that I know and care about. You can still be a beautiful nerd but don't forget that you're still a cheerleader and you have to be cheerful rather than depressing." said Zane. Kristen smiled and she said,"So what movie are you going to see?".

Zane said,"Um. I let Karen pick it, Rachel pays, and me and Danny gets the best snacks. Care to join us? We're always open so if you want to come with us, just ask.". "Sorry but I have to go meet Brad and the rest of what did you call them again?" said Kristen. "A-listers Kristen. If you want to talk or help with Bio, just call and ask okay." said Zane. He wrote down his number and he said,"Later!". He ran off as Kristen looked at Zane with a goofy smile on her.

Wraith watched and he said,"I can't believe him. He's been a player and I can't tell either of them or they'll kill me. I make him suffer for breaking their hearts but I need to make a scene. If I don't, the boy may suspect me.". He looked up from his perch and he saw police cars. "A human vehicle. They've upgraded since the last time but I bet..." said Wraith. He touched his bracelet and he said,"They're still hackable. I think you're going to be perfect.".

Zane was heading toward Danny but his Crisis Judgement went off. He turned around to see a police car heading toward him and he heard,"Kid! Move!". Zane rolled to the side and he barely dodge the car. "What the? I really don't think they're going for a joyride. I need to find an alleyway and go super or else I'm going to be road pizza." thought Zane. He jumped over another car and a cop said,"Hey. Is the kid a gymnast or what?". "Gymnast? You're dead wrong." thought Zane.

He found himself in an alleyway ,with no cars seeing him, and he said,"Power Up!". He turned into Zero as he flew up. "I need to find the planner or else." said Zane. "Hey Zane. I think you need to learn something about me. I love to fight dirty!" said a voice. Zane dodged several missiles and he saw Wraith. "Wraith or should I say William? What are you doing?" said Zane. "I gave up the hunt on them because of what you're doing Johnny Vincent." said Wraith.

Zane said,"My name isn't Johnny Vincent! It's Zero and I will make you know it Willy!". Wraith then dodged Zane's attack which was an steel gray energy fist swarm. "You've his anger and his Nether but you're weaker." said Wraith. He was gone in a black puff of smoke as Zane began looking for him. "Your Nether is weaker than Green Nether which is the weakest on the Nether scale but here's the thing...." said Wraith's voice. Zane was kicked toward the ground as Wraith reappeared.

Zane recovered as Wraith made a giant ball of black energy form in his hand with him saying,"You were once the best with Green Nether. You're nothing but a weak example of yourself.". The ball went down toward Zane and Zane said,"I'm not Johnny Vincent!!!!!!!!!". His power spike as Wraith said to himself,"He's able to increase his strength. It doesn't matter. You're nothing JV!". The giant ball grew to the size of a planet and Zane said,"Go back to Terrarune William!".

A giant steel gray energy construct of a baseball glow formed in front of Zane and he caught the ball with ease. Zane moved his left arm back and throw the ball. "Hey Willy! Catch!" said Zane. The ball flew toward Wraith who was about to fly away. "Why can't I move?!" said Wraith as he looked at Zane. Zane tapped his shoulder and Wraith turned to see a clone of Zane. Wraith then swiped at the clone making him disappeared.

Zane said,"That may have been draining on my powers but sending a quick jolt of Nether in your body stopping you from fighting is a good thing for me.". Wraith was hit by his attack and he went flying toward the ground. Zane jumped after him and he said,"I may be mad at you but I am not going to let you get seriously hurt.". He caught him in mid air and he rolled to the ground like a football player going after the ball.

Wraith said,"You know if I could move, I would kill you Johnny Vincent.". "My name is Zero and don't you forget it. Time to send you on the ten o clock express back to Terrarune." said Zane. He held out his left hand and a portal opened up. "Portal Creation? You must be....." said Wraith. Zane pushed him and he said,"I'm not Johnny Vincent William but whatever happens, I can't let people get hurt.". He flew off and he turned back to normal.

Zane then leaned himself against a wall and he looked down at his watch. He started today off with 100%. His first encounter with Wraith drained about 15 % and this one pretty much drained him dry since he access some sort of new power on the spot. He looked out and he saw everything was back to normal. "Okay. Crisis adverted. I need to get back home because I'm out of energy bars." thought Zane.

He heard,"Zane?". He turned to see Kristen and she said,"What happened to you? You look awful to say the least. What happened?". "Um. I almost got into some car crashes. I ran into an old friend but he wasn't very happy to see me so we got into a rooftop rumble. I sent him packing." said Zane. "I thought you didn't fight." said Kristen. "Well, he started it by threatening my friends, you, and my family. I'm a calm dude but make me mad, you'll get a good old knuckle sandwich." said Zane.

Zane thought,"I may be stretching the truth there but still, he wasn't going to stop from what I read about him. Thanks Gwen.". "Wow. That's something. So are you okay?" said Kristen. "I don't know. I mean he drained me like a battery." said Zane who took a deep breath. "So is there anything I can do to help? I owe you one." said Kristen. "How about you and I go to the movies? I mean my friends are expecting me soon." said Zane.

Kristen said,"Sure but we're taking a cab.". A taxi showed up and Zane held the door open. "Ladies first." said Zane. She smiled as she got in. Zane followed afterwards and the car drove off toward the movie theater. Meanwhile back in Terrarune, Wraith looked around. "You're dead next time I see you Zero or should I say Johnny Vincent." said Wraith. He was about to go back to Earth but he couldn't make a portal.

He heard,"Your fighter with the current Zero drain you of your power William.". He turn and he saw a shadowy figure. "No. You can't be. I thought you were..." said Wraith. "I was busy with a little problem yes but I ended it. You do know what happens when you cause trouble right boy or should I show you?" said the voice. Wraith was trapped inside of a pink/purple energy cube and he was out cold. "The prisoner captured." said a voice.

The figure held Wraith and it said,"You may be a problem Zero but it doesn't matter. You haven't broken the rules of Terrarune so lets see if your streak of good luck continues.". A police siren was heard and the figure threw Wraith into a paddywagon. "Zero. You will be a pain for me and I will be enjoying our encounter one day. So enjoy your freedom until then Zero. I do wonder what he meant earlier." said the figure. It was gone as the car drove off.

Why does Wraith call Zane by his middle name Vincent and added Johnny to it? Who is the figure that took him away? This and more next time on Zero.

Zero Episode 4 The Hunt for the Winged Beasts

A/N: Welcome to Episode four of Zero. I think this story is slightly based of Superhero Cartoons from the states and not Japan for once. Power is based off Power Guild which was based of Fairy Tail and Soul. I don't know what is based off but the main thing, it is based off High School Manga and whatever I feel like. Zero sorts has that mentally but its more focused to say the least. Lets begin in the Spectral Realm with a chase scene.

Narrator P.O.V.
In the spectral realm, a ,male, griffin was flying through it. "Come on Estelle! We can make it away from him I promise!" said the hybrid. It turned to face its partner in crime aka a ,female, phoenix. "I can't fly any more Grady. He injured my right wing." said Estelle. "We can't give up! I promise to make a life with you and I never go back on my word." said Grady. The two were flying when they heard a eerie ,even for the Spectral Realm, whistle.

They turned around to see the Spectral Realm's strongest warrior and also a major sadist. He has pure white hair which was both spiky and wavy, sharp red eyes, and deep red skin. He's muscular. He was wearing a mask ,around his head, that was very similar to a Tengu but it was missing the giant nose which the crow yokai was known for. Around his arm, he had bandages around them with his right arm having a metal gauntlet with beads like bracelets.

He was wearing a navy blue haori with a red ,matching his skin color, obi, and white undershirt. He wears a pair of dark green capri with him wearing bandages around his legs and he was wearing a pair of light brown wooden sandals. "Are you two beasts trying to escape me? You must know that you can't escape me. After all, I'm your nightmare...." said the warrior. The two beasts were flying off as the warrior had an ego the size of a planet.

He noticed this and he said,"Get back here beasts! I am Wraith, Hunter of Terrarune and you'll not escape me!". He disappeared in a black void and the beasts were shocked to see that the warrior was in front of him. "Get in your prison of Darkness!" said Wraith. The beasts flew over the cages and Estelle said,"We can't keep running from him!". "Then what are you suggesting? I mean he can't be stopped right?" said Grady.

The fire bird gathered fire on her left wing and she said,"We strike back!". The fire turned into a wall of fire as it blocked Wraith. "This won't stop me beasts!" said Wraith. He made two balls of darkness which absorbed the flames but he didn't see that Grady was rushing toward him. Wraith was pushed back into a floating rock formation. Wraith pushed the dust off him and he saw the two beasts flying away.

Wraith said,"You're not escaping me!". The man was about to attack but he was blasted by a beam of fire from Estelle. The two found a portal and Estelle said,"Do you think we should go through it Grady?". "If you want to stay here with Wraith, go nuts!" said Grady. The hybrid flew in with the fire bird flying in afterward. Wraith was flying toward them but the portal was gone. "GOD DAM IT!" yelled Wraith.

Two red beams of energy flew out of him destroying two rock formations scaring some phantoms nearby. "Okay. I need to calm down. They escape the human realm but they'll be injured from the interdimensional travel so they'll still be captured by me." thought Wraith. He opened a portal up and he said,"I do hope that she doesn't mind me missing her thing but I need to go on my hunt and I won't stop till their pelts are on my wall.". He was gone in a flash.

Back on Earth, Zane ,as Zero, was currently heading to school thanks to his energy grappling hooks so he was going to make in style. "So are you coming bro? Rachel's looking for you and it isn't at all good news." said Danny. Zane , thanks to some Telekinesis, was currently talking to Danny though his phone. "What did I do? I mean I've been doing good." said Zane. He stopped over a street vendor and he used a hook to grab some food.

Danny said,"Dude. Do you think I understand women?". Zane stuck himself to the side of a building and he said,"Yes. I mean you're the ladies man of the group.". "Not by much and you're better at this than I am." said Danny. "Not by much. I just don't care about stuff like that. I got super powers but I haven't done anything with them." said Zane as he was sipping down a soda. "Says the person whose enjoying a cherry soda while chilling out somewhere." said Danny.

Zane said,"You can hear me?". "Dude. You love Soda more than any other person I know so could you pick me up something?" said Danny. "Okay but you'll have to eat it fast. You know that our Bio teacher hates when we bring food in." said Zane. "Okay. I'll have...." said Danny. Zane looked down and he saw police cars. "Okay buddy. I'll have some superhero stuff." said Zane. "Gotcha and make sure that you don't make an ass of yourself." said Danny who hanged up.

Zane stuck his phone in his pocket and he thought,"No promises.". He looked at his watch and it said that he's used two percent of his power. "Okay. I better get down there to steal/borrow a ride to save on power." thought Zane. He jumped down and while falling, he turned invisible. He then landed on a police car and he followed it. "Okay. I wonder what supernatural threat I'm dealing with today is. I do hope it's nothing like that last one." thought Zane.

The car stopped and Zane saw two people standing there. It was a man and woman with the woman holding her right arm in pain. The man had shoulder length white hair, sharp yellow eyes, a white jacket with a red symbol of a griffin, a brown t-shirt, jeans, and tennis shoes. The woman had long orange and red hair that was currently in a bun, red eyes, a red tank top and matching skirt, and her outfit ending with a pair of bluish red high heels.

Zane thought,"What the? Why do I sense Nether inside of them? Are they from Terrarune and how in the nine realms did they get here?". The man looked up and he said,"Don't worry Estelle. I'll get us out of here I promise.". He punched the ground causing a shockwave. Some of the police cars flew in the air and Zane reappeared. He made an steel gray energy net which held the cars. Estelle looked up and she said,"Grady. We have to get out of here.".

Grady smiled and he said,"I'll find you so go.". The woman turned into a phoenix shocking the police officers. They started firing their pistols and shotguns at the bird but their bullets went through them with Grady grabbing a nearby lamp post. He was about to swing at the officers but it was stopped due to it melting to the ground. Zane stood there and he said,"How about you just stop and tell me how you got here?".

Grady said,"I ain't telling you how we got here brat but let me give you a present!". Thanks to a very convenient food cart, Grady threw it at Zane. "Eat this!" yelled Grady. Zane caught it with an energy glove but when he placed the cart down, Grady was gone. "God dam it." thought Zane. One of the cops said,"Thanks for the help kid.". "No problem. What happened to the guy?" said Zane. "Like his lady, he turned into a weird creature thing. So do you mind helping us?" said the cop.

A little bit later, Zane was running through the hallway. "Man, I'm going to be late for Biology and I really can't be late for that!" thought Zane. He jumped down the stairs and he rolled down them like an army roll. "Too cool man!" said a group of teens. Zane waved to them and he thought,"Wow. You think that I would be in trouble with using my powers in public but thanks to my mom being both a scientist and a physical fitness nut, this is normal.".

The two minute bell rang and Zane looked inside of his biology class. He saw that the teacher wasn't looking so he sneaked to his seat which was in between Danny and Karen. He sat down and Danny said,"Hey man. How was work today?". "Terrible." said Zane. "I think you did pretty good cleaning up those two lovebirds." said Karen. "Lovebirds?" said Danny and Zane. "Boys. I mean the guy was protective of his girl. Didn't you noticed that Zane?" said Karen.

Zane said,"I didn't have a chance because I was trying to stop them. I need to talk with Gwen and my grandpa after class.". "Why?" said Danny. "You remember that I am half Phantom right? Well, I was no am sure that both of them were from Terrarune." said Zane. "Hey. I really can't believe it. Zero in action." said a voice. Zane turned around to see Brad ,on his phone, and to his left and right, his girlfriend and head cheerleader Kristen Gina Ortiz along with one of the cheerleaders Hannah Grant.

Kristen Gina Ortiz had long brown hair and brown eyes. She was currently wearing the school's cheerleading uniform. It's a dark red sleeveless shirt/vest with a large white C on it. This top covered the cheerleader's body but shows their figures without being provocative. They can either wear a long sleeved shirt underneath but this was during the fall and winter primarily. They wear a dark red skirt that goes to the knees with a white trim.

They also wear stockings but like with the long sleeved shirt, this is only during the fall and winter due to the colder weather. Kristen is  a Puerto Rican American which was obvious because of her slight accent and skin tone. Hannah Grant had short blond hair and blue eyes. Much like the girl to her right, she was wearing the uniform. She was known for one thing and it was her loud voice. It was rumored that she was able to make dogs keel over.

The bell rang and the teacher who had long brown hair and light brown eyes said,"Mr. Stevens. The bell has rung which means phones are to be put away.". She wore a white lab coat with a green blouse and black pencil skirt with one inch heel. "It won't happen again I promise." said Brad. The teacher walked around the room and she was holding a bunch of papers. "You all are so happy about this new superhero but having good grades is more important than this weeks pop star." said the teacher.

Zane rolled his eyes as she said with a smile,"In other news, I have last class's tests graded.". The class groaned after hearing that. She handed a paper to Brad who said,"A C! Brad makes another pass and the crowd goes wild!". "Yeah right. A C is so great." whispered Danny. "It's better than an F or D man. He is looking on the brighter side of things." whispered Zane. Kristen looked at hers and it was a D-. Kristen looked sad at that.

Ms. Foster said to the whole class,"Well, we have our genius duo and their third wheel once again shining. Mr. Malone, you got an B+. Ms. Castro, you got an A, and Mr. Alvarez, another A+. You're just like your mother sometimes.". "Well thanks." said Zane. "You're welcoming for that by the way Danny." said Karen. "Hey. I'm okay with this." said Danny. Brad glared at the back of Zane and he noticed the football to his left. He then grabbed it and he threw it at Zane.

Zane's Crisis Judgement ,which he learned is a effect of being half Phantom, went off and he said,"I think I drop my pencil. Be right back.". He dodged the ball as it hit Ms. Foster in the back of the head launching the papers into the air. "Mr. Stevens. I do hope that you like spending time cleaning up the labs after school." said Ms. Foster. The football player slammed his head into the table and he thought to himself,"I really hate you Alvarez.".

Meanwhile, Grady was looking at his lover Estelle. She was breathing heavily in a hospital bed that he was going to return. "Don't worry Estelle. I won't let this stop you. We were going to Greece to see the sights and what your ancestors did plus scare a couple of humans." said Grady. He was holding her right hand and he said,"I'll be right back.". His wings ,in his beast form, sprouted from his back and he flew off with Estelle mumbling,"Grady.".

Back at school, the bell had rung meaning one thing. It was the weekend and end of school. The class inside of the Biology Lab walked out of the door with Zane grabbing his bag. "Mr. Alvarez and Ms. Ortiz. Do you two mind staying after class for a while?" said Ms. Foster. "Good luck with the nerd Kristen." said Hannah. Brad grumbled something about murdering Alvarez as Ms. Foster said,"I do hope you don't forget about cleaning the labs Mr. Stevens.".

The class was gone as it was Zane plus his teacher and the A-Listers. "So why am I here?" thought Zane. "If you want to raise your grade up Kristen, I really suggest doing some extra credit research on the recent Golden Tabby Tiger that's at the zoo over the weekend. I also suggest having Mr. Alvarez here as a tutor. He along with Ms. Castro are my two smartest students." said Ms. Foster. "Wow. I feel bad for you Kristen." said Hannah.

Brad smiled and he said,"I mean being stuck with Zit Alvarez sucks.". "Study with Zane? I think you should just fail me now." said Kristen. "Wow. I'm so touched." thought Zane. "Couldn't Brad tutor me instead?" said Kristen. "If you want your grade to go up, study with Mr. Alvarez." said Ms. Foster. "I don't mind Kristen." said Zane. Kristen looked at him and she said,"Fine! Meet at the Zoo at six sharp or else you're dead meat.".

She was gone along with Brad and Hannah as Zane said,"Why did you do that Petra? I rather be stuck with bed bugs.". "Zane. You know that I care a lot for you right?" said Petra. "Yeah but why? I mean she's going to be ignoring me the entire time." said Zane. "Don't you always look on the brighter side of things Zane? If you help Ms. Ortiz out now, you may be able to be in the in crowd." said Petra. "I guess you have a point there." said Zane. He left the room with the woman smiling.

Later at the Alvarez household, Zane was tuning his acoustic/electric guitar in the living room while he was talking with Rachel through his phone. His guitar in question looks to be a fusion of a Gibson Firebird ,with the iconic slanted body, and Gibson V-Factor ,with its iconic inward incident, giving his axe, resulting in a slanted "X" body. It has two black pointed tips on the soundboard. The guitar's body is primarily black with a crimson red dragon design throughout the body of the guitar. 

On the back of the guitar, there is a white skull and cross bones. He had a dark gray strap over his neck and the guitar was placed over his waist. He would have plugged it into his amp but he didn't want to bother anyone. After finishing tuning, he grabbed his guitar pic ,which matches his guitar, and began strumming. "You've got to be kidding me? You and Kristen?" said Rachel. "Yeah Rae. I rather be stuck with termites than deal with her or Hannah." said Zane.

Rachel said,"At least, you are not in a Music class with Hannah. Her voice is able to break glass.". "I don't doubt that. So have you talk with Gwen recently? She's been ignoring me all week and I'm not sure if I did something for her to hate me." said Zane. Rachel soon shrugged her shoulders and she said,"According to her, she's at some magic event thing back in Taelamelan. I think they have limit cell service down there but she hasn't said anything bad about you or Danny.".

Rachel said after taking a deep breath,"So lets change topics from Gwen to something else. Have you asked anyone else for advice on your "date" tonight?". "Nope. You're the only person. I was going to ask my grandpa but he and my mom have been tinkering in the lab since I left for school. I haven't a chance to get a word in with him." said Zane. "Ah. So are you going to go?" said Rachel. "To my "date"? Ms. Foster asked me to and I can't let her down." said Zane.

Rachel said,"Her and your mom are college friends right?". "Yep. They both went to the same college in I think New York. They're good pals so I can't let her down." said Zane. "Okay. I wish you luck on your date Zane." said Rachel. She hanged up as Zane heard an explosion. He placed the guitar down and he said,"I better go check on them.". He walked downstairs to the basement and he saw Edgar on the floor in pain.

Zane picked the bird up and he said,"You alright?". The bird looked at his owner's grandson and he made a chirp. "Yeah. My mom has a problem making things exploded." said Zane. He looked up and he saw Arturo wiping grease off his robe. "Ah Zane. Look at this." said Arturo. The boy looked at the device right in front of him. It looked like the door that gave him his power but more mechanical in its design than before and Zane said,"So what is it grandpa?".

Arturo smiled and he said,"This is what the folks called a Dimensional Gateway.". "So does this door open up to the Astral Realm? Is it called that?" said Zane looking over the door. "Yes. Your mother is currently at the market. So I heard you playing the guitar." said Arturo. "I'm not very good grandpa. I haven't the time to practice it in the past month because well...." said Zane. "I understand. You have to master both Animus and Nether." said Arturo.

Zane nodded and he said,"Yeah.". "So are you going to be home for dinner?" said Arturo. "Nah. I got a "date" tonight." said Zane as he sat down. "A date? I thought you would be more excited for that Zane." said Arturo. "If I was on a date with a girl that didn't hate my gut, I would be grandpa." said Zane. "Did I tell you the time how I met your grandmother?" said Arturo. "Yeah. I guess I should at least dress nice." said Zane.

Arturo said,"Are you going to fly there Zane?". "Nope. Eon wants me to test out the gear of Zero. It also doesn't drain my powers like flying does. I may have eaten a good amount but I can't waste my power on flying." said Zane. "True. So anything happen today?" said Arturo. "Well, I better just show you gramps." said Zane. His left hand glowed white and a screen appear over his hand. Arturo looked and he saw the winged creatures.

Arturo whistled as he said,"Wow. Quite an interesting day.". "Yeah. They're from Terrarune right?" said Zane. "Your sensing ability is better than it was before. I highly suspect it has something to do with your father." said Arturo. "Yeah. Did you know him?" said Zane. "A little but from what I heard, he was quite popular with the girls back in the day." said Arturo. "Oh. That's something to say the least. So how do I send them back to the Spectral Realm?" said Zane.

Arturo said,"You're not going to kill them? I mean your previous Zeros had a issues with Phantoms in the past. I was at least tolerated by them because well, I can handle myself in a fight. Phantoms may be the home of evil but not all of them are evil.". "I'm not a killer." said Zane. "So what are you going to do Zane?" said Arturo. "Well, I'm going to Power Up." said Zane. He was dressed as Zero and he said,"I'll see if I can help them.".

He floated in the air and he phased through the roof. Edgar flew over to Arturo and he cawed. "He is a good kid Edgar. I just think he is dealing with having powers and finding himself at the same time which is hard for anyone old pal." said Arturo. The bird peaked at the door and Arturo said,"Don't worry old friend. I don't think he's going to be cause trouble but maybe be a hero once he gets his life under control. I also won't let Natasha used you for experiments.".

The bird took a sigh of relief and Arturo chuckled. "She is my daughter but she has her mother's spirit and she's doing all of this to protect her son for dangers that he can't handle as of right now. I suspect that Zane will be the best Zero seen because he's half phantom and sorcerer. I mean he has the best of both worlds plus the power of the Astral Realm." said Arturo. The bird squawked and Arturo said,"I should talk to him at the least.". He was gone as the bird went to go enjoy food.

Upstairs, Zane ,back to his normal self, stood in front of his mirror. "Is something wrong son?" said Arturo's voice. He was on the other side of the door and Zane said,"Grandpa. Why are you outside instead of phasing through my room?". "I respect that you need privacy. Your grandmother on the other hand didn't respect your mother's." said Arturo. "You can come in." said Zane. Arturo walked in and he said,"Is something wrong Zane?".

Zane then took a deep breath and he said,"So do humans become Phantom or Sorcerers when they die?". "I guess it depend on how they were when they were living. For example, Volcanis was a pyro and he caused several deaths with his flames. Why do you ask my boy?" said Arturo. "I have several questions. So what happens if a Phantom or Sorcerer died?" said Zane. "Well, I'm not sure myself my boy." said Arturo.

Zane sat down on his bed and he said,"What do you mean grandpa?". "As you know, I'm the King of the Spectral Realm but I don't decide the fates of Phantoms." said Arturo. "I understand." said Zane who looked at his hand. "Are you alright my boy?" said Arturo. "I just need to think about myself for a while. So is there a way to send Phantoms back to Terrarune without using that spell. It drains me like a battery." said Zane.

Arturo nodded and he placed his hands on his grandson's head. "Here's a portal creation spell to the Spectral Realm. It only takes 5% of your powers so you'll be able to fight without powering down as Daniel says it." said Arturo. Zane hugged his grandpa and he said,"Thanks Grandpa!". "Don't you have a date?" said Arturo. Zane looked at his watch and it was 5:45. "Right. Power Up!" said Zane who glowed.

Zane held one of the bags ,the one with the symbol of a portal, and he said,"Eon told me that this bag is able to create portals and the such to let me travel fast. See you grandpa.". He opened it and he then pulled over a skateboard missing the wheels. He jumped on it and he flew out of his room. The old man smiled and he said,"Zane. You're growing into a man that can be depended on. I wonder what they'll do to you.".

In about five minutes, Zane was over the zoo and he looked down from his hover board. The place was slightly crowded and he noticed several couples. "Great. My luck just sucks doesn't it?" said Zane who sighed. He jumped down and he turned back to normal while phasing into one of the boy's bathroom. He left the stall and he looked at himself. "Huh. I don't remember putting this one but for some reason, I like it." thought Zane.

Instead of his normal gray cargo pants, he wears a pair of black pants. On the bottom of his jeans, a design of a red/orange flames with a green and white outline were there. He was wearing a dark green belt around his black pants up. Instead of his red and white tennis shoes, he wore black combat boots with steel toe caps for an extra hard kick to say the least. He wore something else for a top instead of his blue t-shirt and a black hoodie jacket.

He was wearing a black leather motocross jacket with the matching flame design ,that was on his jeans, on the back of the jacket, the arm sleeves of his jacket, and the ends of his jacket. The jacket also had a hoodie which rested there. He was wearing a white shirt under it. He wore a pair of black leather gloves with steel knuckles protectors. Around his necklace, he wore a silver necklace with a crimson red guitar pendant. He wore a silver bracelet around his left arm matching his watch.

He looked at his hair which was slightly longer but not by much. He noticed that his muscles were sticking out and he thought,"Wow. I never noticed this but I'm hot. I really shouldn't let it get to my head. I'm here to tutor Kristen even though she hates me for some reason.". He walked out of the bathroom with him noticing people looking at him. "Okay. I may being sound like Brad but dam, I look nice. I better go find Kristen." thought Zane.

Kristen was tapping her foot and she said,"Brad. Where the hell is that dork? I thought he would be here first!". She was on her phone and Brad said,"Fuck if I know. That little prick'll get a beating if he stands you up.". She heard,"Hey Kristen!". Kristen hanged up as she saw Zane. "Sorry but traffic was a nightmare." said Zane. "Zit? Is that you?" said Kristen. "Yeah. My clothes are really baggy but this is what I normally wear. You like?" said Zane.

Kristen thought,"Wow. Zit I mean Zane's really handsome. I mean he's a dork though.". "Whatever. I just want this to be over. Brad promised me to take me shopping tomorrow. I bet you're going to be playing like Dungeon and Dragons or something nerd like." said Kristen. She walked away and Zane heard with his enhanced hearing,"Wow. She's a freaking idiot. I mean she called that stud a nerd and I bet she wouldn't mind me taking him.". Zane smiled and he walked after her.

Meanwhile, Wraith was watching. "That kid. Is he the Griffin and is that girl he with the Phoenix? I haven't been able to find them for hours now and I'm getting angry!" thought Wraith. His white hair turned into fire and he growled. "Easy me. I think they're around here. The wound that I gave to the fiery chicken is something that can't be cured by a human medicine and I highly doubt that a Sorcerer living in this city will give a Phantom anything." said Wraith.

Wraith looked at his gauntlet and he said,"Beasts like those two can't co-existed together. If I find them before the sun sets, I let them be in the same cage for all of time.". He smiled when he saw one of the birds flying by him and heading toward the zoo. "Good. He figured out that time is up so I think I'll go capture his lover so making him mine will be easy." said Wraith. He was gone in a dark void that appeared under him.

Estelle was slowly recovering thanks to the berries and water that Grady borrowed from some not so happy shopkeepers. She heard a noise outside of the room that she was staying in and she said,"Is that you Grady?". The door opened and she saw Wraith. "Sorry beast but I'm here to bring you back to the Spectral Realm for your punishment. Rules are rules hon." said Wraith. His left hand glowed as a cage of darkness flew out toward Estelle.

The woman was trapped inside of the cage and Wraith said,"So how is your mate doing? I bet he is thinking that you're going to be alright but we both know that's bullshit.". "What are you talking about Hunter?!" said Estelle. "I guess your mother hen never told you about what happens to a phoenix if they're injured." said Wraith. He put his hand up to her chin and he said,"Time to make you my prize along with him.". The two were gone in a dark flash.

Back at the Zoo, Grady was watching humans talking. "It seems like me and Estelle would love it here. I mean they're all couples and happy." thought Grady. 'You're such a nerd Zit!" said a voice. "I think I should rephrase that." said Grady with a smile. Zane was listening to Kristen ranting and he said,"Hey Kristen. This tutoring thing is too help you not me so if you're up for it, lets begin and if not. Have fun with Brad.".

He was walking toward the Golden Tabby Tiger and he was stopped by someone grabbing the back of his jacket. He turned around and he saw Kristen. "Listen Alvarez. I don't like you but I care about my future so you're helping me with this stupid assignment." said Kristen. She grabbed his left hand and he was dragged off. "I guess she is what the humans called a Tsundere." said Grady. Thanks to his enhanced sense of smell, he smelled Estelle and flew after them.

Kristen stopped and she said,"Hey Alvarez. How are we going to study this stupid thing if we can't get through this crowd.". Zane looked up and he said,"Huh. I guess they're doing an article meaning we're screwed.". "What are you talking about? You really sound like an idiot." said Kristen. "Thanks for that lovely compliment Kristen but Wisdom Weekly is here." said Zane. "Wisdom Weekly? What are you talking about? Sounds like a nerd magazine." said Kristen.

Zane said,"You're right but they have a swimsuit issue and also fashion tips for young females. My mom was one of their first scientist featured in it and I was actually on a cover when I was a kid. I think I know a way to get a close up look.". He pointed to the observation tower and Kristen said with a frown,"Hey Einstein! You know that things only used for the Fourth of July right?". "Just trust me Kristen." said Zane.

The two walked over to the tower and Zane noticed that the place was locked up. He pressed his right hand on the door and he said,"Okay. I got this.". He noticed that Kristen was looking at her phone and he thought,"Wow. This is too perfect.". His hand turned intangible and his other hand had a white magic circle around it. His right hand stretched through the tower and he found the keys. He grabbed them and he got his hand out of the tower with him throwing the keys in the bushes.

His hands turned back to normal and he said,"I wonder if they...". "What are you talking about? We can't get in." said Kristen. Zane held the keys and he said,"Huh. I wonder how they got out here.". He smiled as he opened the door. "Ladies first." said Zane. Kristen walked in and she thought,"How the hell did that dweeb do that? That's pretty cool.". She stood there in the tower and she looked down to see a group of tigers.

Zane stood next to her and he said,"Yep. There's a dad, mom, and three kittens.". "Really? I thought they were almost extinct." said Kristen. "They are. Their love story is something else." said Zane. She looked at him and he said,"You should be writing this down.". She nodded as she pulled out a mini computer. "All of them are different from a normal tiger is because of captive breeding and doesn't occur naturally in the wild." said Zane.

She typed that down and Zane said,"It's sometimes called the strawberry tiger thanks to its strawberry blonde color. Their striping is much paler than normal and made fade into spots or large prominent patches. They're also much larger and have softer fur. than normal tiger.". "So how do you know all of this?" said Kristen. "Well, I have a pretty sweet mom. She taught me a lot of stuff mainly about the universe." said Zane.

Kristen said,"So why do you let Brad bully you?". "I really don't care about what other people think about me Kristen. I don't care about the names. I mean you are a smart girl but you let Brad and the rest of the A-listers get to you. You let them make you into their image instead of being your own person." said Zane. "What are you talking about?" said Kristen. "In nature, everything is connected like a giant puzzle. Take the daddy and mommy tiger down there." said Zane.

She walked over to the window and Zane said,"The mom came from a rather arrogant zoo up north while the dad was raised here in good old Cypress Park. He did his best to make her feel welcome but she wouldn't listen because of what she learned back home.". "What are you trying to tell me anyway Zane?" said Kristen. "Scientists try to find why animals do what they do and you'll never suspect that the tigers down there would be mates right?" said Zane.

Kristen said,"Weren't they forced to breed Zane?". "No Kristen. The owner decide to let nature takes its course and look at them. They're a happy family. We shouldn't let others decided our paths. We're the ones going down our path. You shouldn't be arrogant and mean Kristen Gina Ortiz but the really beautiful nerd Kristen Gina Ortiz." said Zane with a smile. Kristen looked at him and she said,"You are pretty deep nerd.". "Thanks I think." said Zane.

Wraith phased into the habitat and she placed Estelle down. "You're perfect bait for me boy so lets make some noise." said Wraith. His bracelet then glowed as several missiles went out of his body with them flying toward the tigers with the parents protecting their cubs. "Shit. I have to go." thought Zane. He looked at Kristen and she said,"Zane! We have to get out of here.". "You're right." said Zane who looked back.

As he was being dragged off, he saw that the Phoenix from earlier was down there in pain. "What the heck? Is she a victim?!" thought Zane. He then saw the griffin ,who blocking the missiles creating a smoke screen and Zane thought,"I have to save them but Kristen.". He looked around as he thought,"I hope this works and I don't get caught.". Kristen didn't noticed Zane's body was glowing white. Zane phased out of her and he flew off but not before leaving a Zane Double.

He went into the bathroom and Zane said,"Time to go help my fellow Phantoms. Power Up!". He turned into Zero with him flying toward the tigers. He phased through the cage and Wraith said,"So. I brought you some bait. I knew you'll take the bait beast.". "Screw you hunter! You are mine to kill for hurting innocent beasts and my mate!" said Grady who roared. "I guess this will be some real fun." said Wraith.

Zane flew toward them and he said,"Sorry but here at the Cypress Park Zoo, we don't allow poaching of any animals mythological or not!". Wraith turned and he was kicked by Zane. Zane landed and he said,"Listen. I'm sorry about earlier today. So whose the idiot?". "His name is Wraith, the Spectral Realm's best hunter. Listen kid, we need to get out of here." said Grady. "Why? I mean we have Wraith to handle here." said Zane.

Grady said,"Wraith isn't a fan of a disadvantage. We need to get Estelle out of here and they will be fine.". Zane looked at the family and he said,"Okay. So how do we break that cage? It's obvious to even me that it's made out of raw Nether.". "You must be new to the whole Spectral thing. Touch it." said Grady. Zane touched it and he felt weaker. "Whoa. That felt weird." said Zane. He locked at his watch and he was at 90% but now, he is at 80%.

Grady said,"It seems like you're not compatible with this kind of Nether.". "No. I can handle it so lets go back to my place with her because she doesn't look so good." said Zane. He picked up the cage and he flew toward his house after phasing through the cage. Grady followed him as Kristen saw this happen. "Wow. That guy was so cool right Zane?" said Kristen. She turned to see that the Zane clone wasn't looking too good.

Kristen placed him down and she said,"Are you okay Zane?". "I'm fine. I just need a second to catch my...." said Zane's clone. He was out cold and Kristen pulled out her phone. She called 911 and she said,"Yes. My friend passed out and he isn't looking too good. We're at the Cypress Park Zoo and near the Golden Tabby Tiger exhibit.". She hanged up and she said to the passed out Zane,"Don't worry. I promise you'll be safe.".

Zero Episode 3 A Fiery Fight!

A/N: I don't expect my titles to be an alliteration but sometimes, they will. If you noticed something about Zero, it's that I haven't made Zane overpowered. He's able to use only one power at a time plus he can tired out. Both Bob and Natsu did tire out but over time. I noticed that Fairy Tail has that as well mainly with Erza. I mean she destroyed a meteor when her mom broke her arm. I'm okay with it because I find it makes slightly more sense than her fight with Kyoka.

It isn't by that much but it's something. I also need to explain something. When a human like Danny and Natasha talks, it will be normal text but when say Eon, Mel, or the strange voice talks, it will be Bold. Gwen do this as well but only when she activate their magic power in action. I hope that makes sense. This episode takes place two weeks after Episode 2. Also I don't try to be offense but I'm using Google Translator.

Narrator P.O.V.
Natasha woke up and she looked out her window. It had been two weeks since she had to come to terms with a lot of things in a single day. Her son being the next Zero, her son finding about his dad, and her husband's death. She put on her normal outfit and she walked over to her son's room. She opened the door and she saw Zane sleeping. His body was covered in bruises, papers was stuck to his body like super glue, and his black ,with gold stars, comforter was on the floor.

For the past two weeks, Zane had been training with Eon, Gwen, and Mel with the former and later being his main teachers. Eon focused on training his magic power known as Animus ,that he got from his father, and his power from the Astral Realm known as Primordial with Zane understand magic a lot more than he did before. Mel however focused on his physical abilities with the cyclops being rather strict on the kid just like he did with his old man back in the day.

Natasha smiled and she thought,"He's going up to be a little version of you Shawn. I really hope that you are looking down on him from Heaven/wherever you went and you're proud of your little dragon as you called him.". "Mom?" said a voice. She looked down to see Zane worried about him. "Are you okay?" said Zane. "I'm fine sweetheart. Do you plan on going to school today?" said Natasha. "Yeah mom. I mean I've missed several days of school now." said Zane.

Natasha sighed and she said,"I told Eon and Mel that I didn't want you to miss out on your education but I was wrong.". "Don't worry. Danny and Gwen have been keeping me informed on anything that I missed." said Zane. "I wasn't talking about that son." said Natasha. Zane looked really confused and Natasha said with a sigh,"Never mind Zane. You'll understand when you're older.". "Okay. So are you going to make breakfast? Not ordering you mom but my stomach is empty." said Zane.

Natasha said,"I'm guessing that Mel didn't feed you.". "Actually, Mel gave me food. Eon was the one who tried to increase my magic container by not feeding me. It wasn't one of his best plans so could I have your famous bacon?" said Zane. "Sure thing sweetie." said Natasha who kissed his forehead. He wiped off the lipstick and Natasha left his room after giggling at her son's embarrassment. He walked over to the mirror that he had in his room and he looked at himself.

His black hair looked awful, his once bright violet eyes were dull, and he looked like he been to hell and back. He was wearing his normal outfit but it was torn. He went over to his own bathroom and he took a shower. After drying off, he put on an exact copy of his outfit. "Thank god, my mom got this outfit on that sale when she did." said Zane. He looked at the book on his desk and he said,"I guess I should start reading it.".

He grabbed the book and he placed it inside of his book bag from EP 1. He walked downstairs and he smelled bacon. He floated into the kitchen and Natasha saw him. "What did I say about using your powers in the house?" said Natasha. "Um. You wanted me to test my fire power by light the oven twice in the past mouth." said Zane as he floated down to his chair. "Still, you should care about a random person seeing you use your powers and putting two and two together." said Natasha.

Zane said,"True. I was going to ask my friends for some costume help. I mean Zero's outfit is way too Medieval according to Danny and also Eon plus Mel a bit. Gwen was against the changes but Eon convinced the Alliance to change it.". "You do know that outfit of yours is treasured for centuries right?" said Natasha who had placed the plate of bacon directly in the center of the table. "Yeah but the Alliance owes me a favor after what happened with George. I also have some ideas." said Zane.

Natasha said,"So do you know why he attack us to begin with Zane?". "According to Eon, they found something called a Mind Spider. For what I was told, it's a nasty insect ,made of machine and organic material, able to control a person's mind." said Zane. "Sounds quite deadly." said Natasha. "Yeah. The bug picked at his love for you and well, you know what happened. That's disgusting. I mean you only like dad right?" said Zane.

The woman said,"You know that I was once your age right?". "Yeah but I can hope for the best. It is a good thing to have hope." said Zane. "That's just like your father. I think you should be getting ready for class today." said Natasha. "Right. I better get going." said Zane. "Here. Take this." said Natasha as she threw a watch to him. It was silver with the digital clock part being a green color. "I based the green color after your strange power. Did Mel figure it out what it is?" said Natasha.

Zane shook his head and he said,"No. At we know is that, it comes up when I am in danger or when my emotions hit a high point. So what's the point of this thing? It looks nice though.". He then put it on his right wrist and Natasha said,"I'm trying to help Eon and Mel out by trying to find more out about your super powers in a more a scientific way.". "Ah. That makes sense. So does it track my powers or what?" said Zane.

Natasha nodded and she said,"Correct my boy. You're just like your mother so when you go Zero, I suggest you keep the watch hidden.". "Gotcha. I better get going." said Zane. He walked toward the front door and Natasha coughed. "Sorry. I'll get it." said Zane. His arms stretched and he placed the plate in the sink. "Hey. I'm using my powers from Taelamelan to stretch my limbs. It's helping in a way mom." said Zane.

Natasha said,"I know but you should know that your father didn't use his powers....". Zane's arm went back to normal and he said,"You're right.". Zane walked over to the sink and he started washing his plate normally. "At least, you're learning how to wish the dishes." said Natasha. She left the room and Zane looked around. He stared at the clean plate and he thought,"Man, she really knows how to guilt trip a guy. I wonder if dad fell for iy too.".

Later, Danny and Zane were walking to school. "So how was training man? No offense man but you look awful." said Danny. "You know that I only got two/three hours of sleep right?" said Zane. "So did you get any new power?" said Danny. "Is Gwen around?" said Zane. "No. She's staying with the girl who has been missing you a lot man." said Danny. "Yeah. We'll see her later." said Zane. "Yeah but can we do something that I've always wanted to try." said Danny.

Zane looked at him and Danny said,"Follow me.". The boy dragged Zane into an alleyway and he said,"Go Super.". "Actually, it's powering up. May I ask why man?" said Zane. "I always wanted to be flown to school." said Danny. "Okay, you got it man. Power Up!" said Zane. He turned into Zero and he said,"Hang on.". "Wait. Why don't you have a weird tone in your voice like Gwen, Eon, and Mel do? I mean you had one two weeks ago right?" said Danny.

Zane said,"I don't know why but after my fight with George, I stopped with the accent thing. It was after I recovered too.". "So cool. Ready man?" said Danny. "Yeah but we're flying high just in case someone sees us." said Zane. He picked Danny up and the two then flew in the air with Zane's aura turning blue. "Too cool man. Have you gotten better at flying?" said Danny. "Yeah. Learning how to fly thanks to harpies was a blast." said Zane.

Danny said,"You don't like Mel's training do you?". "I mean how did my dad do this when he was my age and lived?" said Zane. "You're half human right?" said Danny. "I guess but I don't feel any more magical than I do when I am in this form." said Zane. "Really? I guess Eon, Mel, and maybe Gwen is way better with magic than you will." said Danny. "Thanks for the confidence man. I really do like you too." said Zane.

Zane shivered and Danny said,"Dude. What's wrong?". "It's nothing. It's my Crisis Judgement or my Danger Sense." said Zane. "Wait. How are you using two powers man? I thought you could only use one and magic is one right?" said Danny. "No. Both powers are natural. I really should put you down first." said Zane. Danny landed on the ground/roof of a nearby building and Zane looked up. "Hey Danny. I think you should hide." said Zane.

Danny said,"May I ask why?". "Well, I think I'm looking at a hot head than Brad." said Zane. The boys looked down and he saw a man standing there. He had short blond ,dyed, hair with the tips of his hair being red with brown eyes. He was wearing a orange and red Hazmat suit with the hood in the shape of a flame. On his back, he had on two flamethrowers that were equipped to his arms. He seemed to be from Puerto Rico. He looked to be two years older than Zane.

Danny said,"Wow. He is a bigger hot head than Brad. So what are you going to do?". Zane's body became see through and he said,"Time to go Zero.". He disappeared and Danny said to himself,"You really need to work on your quips.". Zane reappeared and the pyro saw him standing there. "Who the hell are you?!" said the man. "That doesn't matter because I need to make sure that I stop you before you make our city be over run with popcorn." said Zane.

The man yelled,"Shut up mocoso! NOTHING WILL GET IN MY WAY! BURN BABY BURN SAY CINDER!" . He aimed his weapons at Zane who evade the streams of flame. "Wow. Mel's training has been helpful. Color me impressed." thought Zane.  "Stay still!" said Cinder. Zane kept dodging the streams of fire and Danny thought,"Wow. Zane hasn't thrown a single punch and he's owning this guy so easily.".

Zane said,"You really suck at this man. I guess you shouldn't be called Cinder. I guess I should call you Toaster Man.". Cinder yelled,"YOU'RE DEAD!". A giant stream of fire flew toward Zane and Zane said,"Serious man? I think you just fired out your load because I can do this.". His aura glowed blue and he lifted Cinder in the air. "I'LL BURN YOU TO ASH!" yelled Cinder. He tried to aim the flamethrowers at the ground with Zane sighing.

He dropped Cinder to the ground and Zane picked up the flamethrowers. "Hey! Give those back you dam brat!" yelled Cinder who rushed toward Zane. "You're the boss sir." said Zane. He moved the weapons around Cinder trapping him like a rope. "Hey! Get me out of here!" said Cinder. "Man. You really need to know what you want." said Zane. Zane threw Cinder into the air and he made a fire ball with him throwing it.

The fireball exploded upon contact and Cinder was on the ground with his suit burned. "Wow. You're really not a good pyro are you?" said Zane. Cinder was worming his way there and Zane said,"I'm so sorry about this but I feel like giving you the cold feeling.". His hands was covered in frost and Zane aimed them at Cinder. He was frozen in a ice cube and Zane said,"Sorry ash boy but you lose. I'm out of here.". He was gone as the cops arrived.

Later, Danny said,"Okay. That was cool man.". "Really?" said Zane. The two were walking to school on ground hallway and Danny said,"At least, I'm good at making puns unlike you. I think you need to work on that.". "Maybe you can give me some tips." said Zane. "I wonder why you were able to dodge his attacks easily. I mean you saw that they were fired at you and you dodged them." said Danny. "Mel's training and I think my Danger Sense." said Zane.

Danny said,"Dude. That's so cool. Let me try something.". He threw a punch at his friend who then dodged it by moving his entire body behind his friend. He grabbed his fist and he held it behind his back. "Are you trying to cause a scene?" said Zane. "Dude. That's so cool." said Danny. Zane let his friend's hand go and he said."If you're going to do that, tell me first. I rather not get cause me to be experimented on.".

Danny said,"Too cool man. I wish I had powers.". "Well, I could ask Eon to teach you magic along with me." said Zane. Danny grabbed his friend's shirt and he said,"Are you serious?". "Yep. I mean you could be like my sidekick." said Zane. "Yeah. I'll be your partner but not a sidekick." said Danny who let his friend's shirt go. The two were reaching the campus and they saw that it was rather quiet in front of the school.

Zane said,"So where's the crowd of people man?". "Either we're late for class or we're early. It isn't a holiday today." said Danny. "Are you sure man? I mean we do have a pretty quirky no really quirky principal." said Zane. "You're right. I'll text Gwen." said Danny. He pulled out his phone and Zane said,"She knows how to use a phone? I thought that she would be sending messages with owls. That would be very interesting to see.".

Danny said,"She actually send messages that way.". "Really? Any pics?" said Zane. "No. Whenever I took a shot, the bird attack me." said Danny. He showed the young hero his claw marks and Zane said to him,"Dude. I thought you would learn after the first time.". "Yeah but you know me. I can be rather determined when I'm serious." said Danny. "You're right so what did she say?" said Zane. "Um. We may be in trouble." said Danny. Zane looked at his friend's phone and he said,"God dam it.".

Meanwhile at the Alvarez's household, Natasha was in her basement working on a new invention. "I do hope that Danny doesn't get a case of Power Jealously but with this, I don't think that will be a big issue." said Natasha. She heard the doorbell and she said,"Coming!". She headed upstairs ,with her grabbing one of her plasma weapons, and she opened the door. She was shocked to see that Grandpa Arturo was standing there with a smile on his face.

He was rather tall, pale like chalk white, and well-toned for a man of his age which was old. He had long ,that grew up to his waist, black hair with streaks of white going through it. The top of his hair was spiky. His bangs are swept to the right with him having a long and thick beard that goes down to his upper torso. It is very similar to a goatee but at the same time, it was rather different. He had rather thick eyebrows with high cheekbones.

Arturo's face was covered with wrinkles showing his advanced age. The ones on his exposed forehead and below his eyes were the most obvious. He has heterochromia. His right eye is icy blue and his left eye is neon green. For clothing, he wore a rather strange outfit for an old man. He was wearing a dark green cloak around his entire body. He smiled and said with a smile,"Greeting Natasha. It's good to see you after how long?". "Several years." said Natasha with slightly worry and anger.

Arturo laughed and he said,"It has been a long time hasn't it? May I come in?". "Sure." said Natasha letting the old man inside. Upon walking in, Natasha noticed the staff in his hand. It was slightly taller than him with a long and thin distorted wooden handle. A white and round orb like object fixed itself into the tip with the wood staff slightly covering it. He had a dark ring on his right middle finger and a pair of gray boots were seen.

Natasha said,"May I take your cloak?". "Sure sweetheart." said Arturo. He then handed her his cloak and under the cloak, he was wearing a white high collar jacket with a hood, a dark purple base layer shirt, and blue jeans. "I bet you're wondering why I'm here aren't you?" said Arturo. "A little. You weren't around much when I was a kid and you visit Zane once." said Natasha. "Speaking of your son, do you know where he is?" said Arturo.

Natasha got her weapon ready ,which was a pen, and she said,"And why do you want to know?". "I know when my grandson is using his powers from the Spectral Land Terrarune." said Arturo. The old man was blasted by the pen and Natasha said,"I won't let you hurt my son!". The explosion was gone as Arturo said,"Now why do you think that? Oh. I think it is because of your former love George was it? He tried to kill you because of a Mind Spider.".

Natasha stood there and she said,"How did you?". "Oh Edgar!" said Arturo. The mechanical bird was on the orb of the staff and Arturo said,"I've been keeping a close eye on you dear child. I was worried about my family.". "You abandoned us!" said Natasha. "Well, I had personal matters to attend to and I didn't want you, your mother, or your siblings to get hurt." said Arturo. "I understand but what are you doing here?" said Natasha. "Lets talk." said Arturo.

Later at school, Zane was in his own personal hell. He wasn't a fan of high school to begin with but when he arrived to his first period aka English 1, he was the center of attention. He was leaning up against his locker and he said,"God. Kill me.". "Dude. You really need to be more positive man. I mean you got a smile from the girls after Brad's prank." said Danny. The two had several classes together and Zane said,"You know that I hate crowds right?'.
Danny said,"Didn't stop her from dragging you to that concert.". "You know that even with super powers, I can't stop her." said Zane. The two were heading to their second period which was Algebra for Zane and Danny had Latin which were across the hall from each other. They head down the stairs and Zane stopped. "What?" said Danny. "Football Charge in five seconds." said Zane. Danny barely evade the football team ,led by Brad, as they down up the stairs.

Danny said,"Thanks man. I owe you.". "Thanks. I'll keep that in mind." said Zane. Brad stood at the top of the stairs with his pack. "Hey! Get here and take your punishment Alvarez!" said Brad. "Now why should I do that? I mean getting beat up for YOUR prank missing is totally my fault." said Zane as he made the bully angry. "You're dead now!" said Brad. He ran down the stairs and Zane thought to himself,"Should I take this punch or use my skills to dodge it?".

He took the later option not by choice as he jumped over Brad. "Stay still!" said Brad. He threw hits his way and one of the football players said,"Wow. Alvarez isn't that bad.". "Yeah. The kid has some moves. It's like he was trained or something." said another player. "You know what man?" said the first player. "What man?" said the second player. "We should ask him to join the team." said the first player with a smile.

Brad was tired after missing Zane several times. "You know something Bradley. How about we just stop fighting and be friends? We'll be late for class." said Zane. He held out his hand and Brad said,"I guess you're just an idiot like your mom....". He didn't even finish his sentence before Zane gave him an intense glare. Danny was impressed that Zane didn't blast the guy with a giant fireball. The bell rang and the crowd was gone along with Zane and his pack.

Danny said while running,"Wow. That's impressive.". "Yeah. I was so tempted to sock that guy's okay teeth in but I stopped myself." said Zane as he clenched his left hand. "Well, I'll see you later. Thanks to Gwen's been a real big help. Have fun with her." said Danny. He ran into the classroom on the left and Zane walked into the room. He sat in his seat and he heard,"Well, you look rather happy Zane. I guess you owe me a thank you.".

He turned to face his other friend Rachel Powell. She had shoulder length copper red hair with her bangs covering her forehead. She had a single pair of earrings which changes everyday, fair skin, and large green eyes. She had long eyelashes that got longer if she needed something from her friends or her daddy. She wears a black choker with a cute purple bat on the front of it and pink lipstick on her which is usually the only makeup that she wears.

She was wearing a navy blue t-shirt with the hazard symbol on it with a white tank top over it. She wore a red and green plaid skirt over her blue jeans with a single white belt with black and blue checker board design sneakers. She sat in the desk to the right of him and Zane said,"Why would I thank you Rachel?". "Because you love me?" said Rachel. "Just maybe." said Zane. "So to switch topics, have you seen Gweny's new outfit?" said Rachel.

Zane shrugged as he said,"It looks good on her.". "Are you in love with her Zaney?" said Rachel. "I'm not answering that Rae. So she's rather popular with both the boys and girls right? Plus Danny likes her not me." said Zane. "Yeah. I mean she's curvaceous which the boys like because well, I think guys are perverts and she's super strong making her even more popular." said Rachel. "Yeah. I guess it's destiny that she's popular." said Zane.

Rachel said,"Oh yeah. I wanted to show you this but you were busy training or something like this man.". She pulled out her phone and she said,"Check out the new design for your costume and also Gwen's new outfit.". "Actually, I was thinking about it and we keep the costume the same." said Zane hoping Rachel wasn't mad. "Wow. Did you use your powers or what?" said Rachel. "No. It's just that the Zero name has been around for centuries and I can't let them down." said Zane.

Rachel said,"You mean the former ones right?". "Bingo." said Zane. "Okay. I will keep that in mind Zane. At least look at Gwen." said Rachel. "Fine." said Zane. He looked at the screen and he said,"I'm impressed.". The picture had Gwen's hair in a small ponytail on the top of her head with a purple hair tie. "Yeah. I mean I like when she has her hair down but this ponytail is really cute. How about you look at this now Zane?" said Rachel.

Zane looked over again and he said,"Like the earrings.". The earrings were a mixture of a gold wing and navy blue clock mixture. "Thanks. She loves them. She's wearing them today with her hair in a ponytail. So why is she called the Slicer?" said Rachel. "Her sword Time Rune is able to slice her way through the dimensions and time itself." said Zane. "Oh. So it's her sword that gave her that moniker? Kinda obvious." said Rachel.

Zane said,"Yeah. She was given the power of the god of Time Chronos. According to her teacher or father, she's rather relaxed when she isn't working during times of study and danger, her personality does a complete 180. It's scary because I saw it. When truly using Chronos's power, she then gains immense strength.". "Ah. That makes sense. Look at this cute outfit and can you explain her bracelets to me?" said Rachel.

Zane looked at the next picture and Zane smiled. She was wearing a simple red bandeau with the upper edges having a flowery white lace. Over it, she was wearing a purple tank top and a black jacket over that. She was wearing a loose pair of black capri pants with a purple clockwork design to them with the ends of them tied up with a purple ribbon. She was ending the outfit with black combat boots with purple laces.

Zane noticed the gold charm bracelets with a clock clasp on both of her hands. "Those are called the Sentinel Grasps. That's its standby phase and when active, it covers her entire arm in metal that's very durable and able to reflect magic power. It also looks like a very metal version of evening gloves and on it's shoulder plates rest the symbol of the alliance." said Zane. "That's really cool." said Rachel. As the bell rang, the two went back to listen their teacher talk.

Meanwhile, Cinder was sitting there in a jail cell with his weapons still rolled around him from his encounter with Zane. "That kid. I'll kill him." said Cinder. "Oh. Are you serious about that?" said a voice. Cinder looked around his jail cell and he heard,"Are you serious?". "Yes. I really hate that kid so dam much." said Cinder. "Okay. Time for you to get really fired up!" said the voice. Cinder felt really hot and he screamed.

He looked down to see that his skin was burning up and he felt like he just entered a lava bath. His once normal hair was literally on fire, his skin was magma with lava for his blood, and the hazmat suit was gone except for the pants. The pain was gone and Cinder said,"Oh right! Time to burn this place to the ground.". His hair burned the building down and Cinder said,"Time to get that punk a burn that he'll never forget!". His legs erupted in fire as he flew off.

Back at the Alvarez's household, Arturo said,"Do you understand now daughter?". "Yes. I still can't believe it." said Natasha. "Your son isn't human at all. He's half Phantom due to you and Sorcerer due to his father." said Arturo. Edgar was enjoy a biscuit and Natasha said,"So why is Zane able to create an energy sphere when I can't?". "Well, it skips a generation and also you took a lot after your mother but you got my spunk." said Arturo.  

Natasha sighed and she said,"So are you here to train him dad?". "Well, I am in a sense honey." said Arturo. "What do you mean by that?" said Natasha. "A Phantom like me and your son can't be taught how to use Nether in a way that a Sorcerer learns magic or a student learns well education. You learn from experience rather than a book." said Arturo. "Hold on. So can we help accelerate the process? I mean he may need it." said Natasha.

Arturo said,"Your watch invention is the key to young Zane's growth as a Phantom and as Zero. It it killing two birds with one stone.". "How dad? I built that watch to see how much Animus Zane can use before his power/suit times out." said Natasha. "You also built it to help him control/master any new power by limiting it to what is it five, seven, or ten powers." said Arturo. "Seven. It's a lucky number." said Natasha.

Arturo said,"I think it's lucky in Western Culture mainly sweetheart.". "You need to focus here dad. I rather not have your son in danger. So how are we going to tell Zane about this?" said Natasha. "With this." said Arturo, He snapped his right hand and Edgar floated into the room. "You can't be serious dad? I mean how big is he?" said Natasha. " Edgar is a helpful and treasured partner. He'll be able to deliver this news to Zane." said Arturo. "Okay go." said Natasha. The bird flew off.

Back at the school, Cinder was watching some kids run around the track on a nearby roof. Inside of his head, he heard his new partner in crime say,"Dam. Human have gotten fine in the past century especially the young ones.". "Do you have to be such a perv? My hermana is a student there." said Cinder. "How about you just calm down bro? I sense that kid's aura around this area. It's like a burning forest fire right?" said the voice.

Cinder said,"Yeah but it smells nice so what's the plan to draw him out hombre?". "What do we pyro loves to do?" said the voice. "Burn!" said Cinder. "You got it Cinder. Oh and call me Volcanis. I'm a being from the Hellfire Realm of Terrarune and I love fire!" said Volcanis. Cinder's arms were on fire and he lifted himself into the air. "Okay. I don't care where you came from hombre but if you get me the fire power to roast that brat, I'm fired up." said Cinder.

Inside of the school, it was lunch time. The group of Danny, Gwen, and Rachel were sitting at their table with Gwen said,"So where's Zane?". "Don't know. He was in class but when Brad arrived with his posse, Zane was out of there fast." said Rachel. "I guess Bradley is still mad about what happen this morning and in the west stairway." said Danny. "I know about the incident in the west stairway but what about this morning?" said Gwen.

Danny was about to say why but he heard,"Hey Dan. Do you mind if I tell them?". He turned around to see their other friend Karen April Castro standing there. She had neck length chestnut blond hair with a light pink headband and black rimmed glasses over her blue eyes. She was wearing a light gray hoodie/jacket with it open to show her red t-shirt with a black spider design over her chest, a blue denim skirt, black stockings, and knee high brown boots with a one inch black heel.

Danny smiled and he said,"Sure thing Karen.". She sat down and she said,"Well, Zane was heading to English and Brad tried to hit him with a water balloon, he dodged it.". "Really? I guess Mel's training has been helpful to him." said Gwen. "Mel? He's the Cyclops right?" said Karen. "Yeah Karen. He's a nice guy." said a voice. The four looked up to see the school's mascot Orville the Ox standing there with his arms crossed.

He looked like a normal ox except he was wearing the school's color which were red and white with plastic weapons on his back. It was a bow and arrow, sword, and shield plus armor. The guy of the group said with a confusion look,"Zane? You in there?". "Yeah. Brad wouldn't look for me in here at all. I"m smart right?" said Zane. "Yeah. You're smart Zane." said Karen and Rachel.. "You know that I can hear the sarcasm right?" said Zane. "So did you lose him?" said Gwen.

Zane took off the helmet and he said,"I think so.". He heard,"Alvarez!". "Gods dam it." said Zane. He looked at Brad who was with his pack and the bully said,"You're dead meat.". "How about we just be friends? I mean we've a lot in common." said Zane who was getting ready for a fight. "Hey! Time for a permanent tan!" yelled a voice. The wall to the right of the cafeteria exploded and Cinder stood there. "Cinder? What are you doing here?" thought Zane.

Cinder threw a fireball at Zane and the boy pushed himself plus Brad to the ground. His projectile caused the smoke alarm to go off as the students ran out of there. His friends and Brad looked at Zane who said,"I don't think we have time to argue right now! Run!". Brad was long gone and Zane was looking around the room. He was the only one there and he ran under a table. "I know you're in here mocoso so come on out so you can get burned!" yelled Cinder.

Cinder saw Zane and he said,"Hey Mocoso. Where's your camarada with the white hair? You two do like alike except with a way better sense of fashion hombre. Oh well hombre, it is time for a scorching burn by Cinder!". He threw a giant ball at Zane who dodged it. "Wait a second. You're perfect for drawing out my objetivo. Get a load of them!" said Cinder. He threw several balls at Zane who dodged them and he blocked a couple of them by hiding under tables.

Outside of school grounds, Danny and the rest of Zane's friends were worried about him. "So this guy was human last time right?" said Karen. "Yeah! I mean he was defeated so easily but now, he's on a way different level." said Danny who clenched his right fist. Gwen put her hand on his shoulder and she said,"Zane will be fine.". "Yeah. I mean he's like this legendary hero right?" said Rachel. "Then can you explain how he isn't wining?" said Danny.

The four heard,"It's simple young man. My grandson hasn't access his powers of Nether yet.". They saw Edgar flying above them. "Nether?! What are you talking about Arturo and what is Edgar doing here on Earth instead of Terrarune?" said Gwen. "I have several questions. I mean what is Nether to begin with and Terrarune? Who is Arturo and Edgar?" said Rachel. Edgar floated to the area right in front of them and the bird said,"Well, he is my heir after all Gwendolyn.".

Gwen said,"This voice belongs to Arturo, King of the Spectral Land/Terrarune and this is Edgar, his pet.". The bird cawed and Arturo's voice said,"Easy pal. You know that she's get her jokes from Eon Edgar. So are you all my grandson's friends?". "So how can you see us to begin with? And why don't you have a tone or accent to your voice." said Danny. "I think it's simple Danny. The bird's eyes must be cameras and you are watching us through a computer screen." said Karen.
The old man's voice said,"You're somewhat right Karen but I need Edgar to talk with Zane.". "You know what's going on right?" said Gwen. The bird turned around to see that the cafeteria was on fire and Rachel said,"This pyro just attack Zane and us with no reason.". "I see that a being from the Hellfire Realm took over a human." said Arturo. "It came from your realm your highness. You should deal with it." said Gwen who crossed her arms.

Karen said,"I'm going to guess that Arturo and Gwen aren't friends.". "I think you hit the target head on Karen." said Danny. The bird began to fly and Arturo said,"This is Zane's problem and I think that the Slicer would try to help out her friends.". The little bird was heading toward the school and Gwen felt Rachel's hand on her shoulder. "Go help our idiot. We'll make sure that you're not missed." said Rachel. Gwen was gone as the three went over to the crowd.

Back inside, Zane was running from Cinder. Zane went sliding thanks to the water and he hid behind some lockers. "Hey mocoso. Come out and play with your camrada Cinder." said Cinder. Zane slightly turned to his left and a stream of fire flew by him. "Wow. He's gotten stronger and I don't think a simple frost spell will be able to defeat him this time." thought Zane. He was about to go Zero on this guy before he heard the window crash in the Second Floor Physics Lab.

He looked and he saw that Cinder heard the crash plus him with Zane sprinting away. "Found you rata. Burn!" said Cinder. Zane ,thanks to the banister, jumped up the stairs as the fireball melted the banister. He found the lab and he slid inside. He looked up to see Cinder looking for him and the pyro said,"He wouldn't be in the nerd laboratorio would he? Nah.". The pyro was gone and Zane took a sigh of relief.

He looked and he found a robotic raven on the ground. "Ouch. Are you hurt little guy?" said Zane as he stuck his right hand out. The bird looked and it squawked. "So are you okay or not? I can't speak bird yet." said Zane. "Don't you remember Edgar young Zane?" said a voice. Zane turned around to see Arturo standing there and he noticed that the bird's eyes were glowing. "Who are you? And how do you know me?" said Zane as two magic circles appeared in his hands.

Arturo said,"You're so funny Zane! I mean you know if you tried to attack me, Cinder would find you and no offense my child, you would look awful with a tan.". "So who are you?" said Zane who took a deep breath calming himself down. "My name is Arturo, King of the Spectral Land/Terrarune." said the man. "Wait. Grandpa Arturo? Is that you?" said Zane who touched the man. He then tuck his right hand through him and Edgar snickered.

Arturo said,"It is good to see you again but we will talk later. You're dealing with a highly powerful being from the Hellfire Realm. His name is Volcanis and he's able to make people like Cinder turn into a Phantom.". "A Phantom? Hellfire Realm? What are you talking about?" said Zane. "You were okay with the Spectral Land/Terrarune part?" said Arturo. "I read some books in Dragonvale's library and I learned that the Spectral Land/Terrarune is forbidden for humans for some reason." said Zane.

Arture said,"A Phantom is a being from the Spectral Land/Terrarune. A Phantom has a certain type of energy that only they can access. If they have that energy, they are a Phantom.". "So this Volcanis guy is the reason why that pyro is so much stronger?" said Zane. "Yes. He's being controlled by a Phantom from the Hellfire Realm. The Phantom is really good with fire." said Arturo. "So how do I kick his but grandpa? I know that Zane can't do anything but maybe Zero can. Power Up!" said Zane.

He turned into Zero and Arturo said,"You need to use the powers of Nether.". "Nether? Is that a type of magic?" said Zane with a confused look. The bird sighed and Arturo said,"I hate doing this but I rather not have you losing one place where being a human is important to you. Grab my hands my boy.". He held out his hands and Zane said,"Okay?". The boy held his hands and his eyes glowed white rather than blue.

Cinder was holding a locker and he said,"Hey Volcanis. I thought you sense that freak with the extrano color de pelo.". It melted in his hands and Volcanis said,"I thought it did but for some reason, I can't! Speak English idiot! I don't understand Spanish.". Cinder rolled his eyes and he heard,"Hey Smoky. Didn't your mom tell you that playing with fire was wrong?". Cinder along with his roommate saw Zane ,as Zero, standing there.

Cinder smiled and he said,"I was waiting for my amigo and he arrived! Burn!". A volley of fire balls flew toward Zane and he thought,"I hope this works!". The steel gray energy sphere formed in his hands and it formed into a giant bowl which took the balls of fire inside of it. "Hey I did it!" said Zane. "Hey Volcanis. How the hell did that chico do that bro?" whispered Cinder. The fire being didn't listen as he thought,"That kid used Nether! How?!".

Zane said,"Hey Cinder! Eat this!". He fired a beam at Cinder who went flying back and Zane said,"I think this power is even cooler that magic!". Cinder recovered and he said,"Okay! You're dead meat now mocoso!". He threw a giant stream of fire at Zane with the teen seeing that it was turning into a giant flaming skull. Zane evaded the attack barely and he said,"I think you need to cool down your head for a while!".

His aura covered the skull and for a split second, Zane's eyes turned white with the skull freezing in place. Cinder tried to free the skull but the ice covering didn't melt. "Why can't I melt his ice?! Hey Volcanis! Contestame Maldito Espiritu!" said Cinder. He didn't noticed that Zane was in front of him. "Time for you to make a splash Cinder!" said Zane. He punched Cinder down into the ground as Zane flew after him.

He stopped and he kicked Cinder into the pool. Cinder was about to fly out but he saw that his fire was disappearing. "Shit! This kid knows my weakness." thought Volcanis. The water around Cinder began to rapidly freeze and it stopped Cinder. Zane used his aura to form a giant ice drill and it cut a hole with Zane holding the frozen Cindercle. "Okay. So how do I get rid of the spirit inside of him to begin with Grandpa?" said Zane.
Edgar floated next to him and Arturo's voice said,"You can't fully get rid of it like you did with the Gluttony Spirit. He will have some control over fire and I guess you would call young Cinder your first super villain.". "Cool. I mean Hot." said Zane. The bird sighed and it flew off. Zane made his hands get covered in the sliver/white aura and he said,"You're free!". Volcanis was gone as Cinder turned back to normal. Zane phased into the ground and he was gone.

A little bit later, Danny was currently looking for Zane and after some searching in the school which was empty since school was cut out earlier due to the place being soaked from Cinder, he found his best friend currently asleep in the teachers's lounge on their soft couch. Danny looked around and he opened the locked door thanks to a trick that Zane's mom taught the two when they were little. The boy looked at his friend and he pushed him off the couch.

Zane woke up and he said,"Really hate you Danny.". "Are you okay man?" said Danny. "I'm so tired and hungry. Got any food on you?" said Zane. "Can you fly?" said Danny. "I'm too tired to even more my body. I think doing an Expulsion drains me like a battery." said Zane. "Ah. Lets go get something to eat." said Danny. He helped his friend up and Zane was dragged out of the office. "So what did you do to Cinder?" said Danny.

Zane said,"Well, that guy was trying to kill me because he had an evil spirit inside of his body and I had to give him a cold awakening.". "Really?" said Danny. "I don't spend my time reading pun books like you did for a year." said Zane. "Yeah. So do you know where Gwen went?" said Danny. "No. I thought she was with you guys." said Zane. "She was but someone called Arturo freaked her out for some reason. How do you know him because he knew you?" said Danny.

Zane looked around and he said,"He's my grandpa.". "From your dad's side?" said Danny. The two got out of the school and Zane said,"I'm not sure but I have a feeling that I'll know soon. I think that's why he doesn't have bold text.". "Your life is so confusing man." said Danny. "I know right? It's fun though." said Zane. The two boys soon saw Karen and Rachel with Zane waving. They walked over and Karen said,"Are you okay Zane?". "Yeah. I think he needs something to eat." said Danny.

Rachel said,"Maybe we can go get something at the Golden Leaf.". "And you're buying right? Please Rachel." said Zane. "Yeah. I mean you did save our lives Zero." said Rachel. "Hey you guys. What about Gwen?" said Karen. "I'll text her to meet us there." said Danny. "Okay." said Karen. The girls helped Zane walk as Danny pulled out his phone. He texted Gwen and he ran after his friends with the four heading away from the school.

Meanwhile, Volcanis woke up and he said,"Where the hell am I man?". "In a prison for scums like you, I have been informed about your recent activity in the Human World. It's a shame what is going to happen to you." said a voice. The fire spirit saw that he was in a glass jar and he laughed evilly. "You're an idiot! I'm Volcanis! This glass jar can't hold me!" yelled Volcanis. The flame tried to break out but he wasn't able and he didn't give up.

Above him, Gwen looked down and she said,"Master Eon. Are you sure this was the right thing to do?". Eon stood there and he said,"You told me that the Phantom tried to kill Zero Gwendolyn so you know that this was going to happen.". "Yeah but I really expect him to be send back to the Spectral Realm not be here." said Gwen. "I thought the same but this is what the Alliance does to Phantoms." said Eon.

Gwen's phone rang and she said,"Oh. It's Zane and my friends. Can I go?". "Sure. Just tell Zero that we'll have magic training tomorrow and it'll be deadly." said Eon. Back on Earth, Zane then sneezed. Gwen smiled and she was gone. Eon put on his hood and he walked out of the room. He was gone as Volcanis screamed loudly. He was on the bottom of the jar and he saw a figure ,covered in the shadows, before passing out.

The figure said,"Throw the Scum in the prison back in its realm. I think they will having a field day with this one.". A guard grabbed the jab with the defeated fire spirit. The figure said,"Zero or should I saw Shawn's spawn. You're going to be a pain just like your father when he was alive so I better get ready for that day.". The figure was gone as the guard threw the jar into a police car and it drove off revealing the building to be a police station.
