A/N: Yes. Last episode ended with a lot of questions. We learned about a new group called Nemesis who used to be around during World War 2 but disbanded after Vietnam. This is according to Alyssa but they're still alive. All of them seem to be clones like Avalon's troopers according to Edwin but to Alyssa and Zane, they fall like dominoes. There is also the fact that Phora sent Alyssa, Kelly, and Zane somewhere.
We're going to find out where or when she sent them. I should mentioned that Donald was going to do the same thing but the Magnus beat her to the punch. If you've read the most recent Fairy Legion chapter, I recently revealed that Phora is indeed a Magnus and knows Rythos rather well. I won't say what that is just yet but you'll learn soon enough. This Author Note will be talking about some comic stuff such as how and why the Inhumans replacing the X-Men replacing was a bad idea.
We'll also how I don't actually hate Captain Marvel. Lets start with the Inhumans. I'll admit that I don't care for them or the X-Men. I like a couple of them such as Iceman and maybe a couple others but they didn't keep my interest. I did dislike Cyclops since he killed his father figure just to protect the mutant race. That may be out of characters for him since Avengers vs X-Men was a good idea in concept but kinda bad in execution.
It's like Civil War 2 except slightly better. I did mention that I didn't like it since it was kinda biased toward Captain Marvel being the "bad guy" and not getting punished for it. Avengers vs X-Men was like that as well since the X-Men were the bad guys but unlike Captain Marvel, they were punished and rewarded for their actions aka the revival of the mutant race. However, this victory for their species didn't last since Marvel didn't own the rights to the X-Men movies.
Since companies like to make money, Marvel decided to take away their presence but letting the Inhumans take their focus. My problem with the Inhumans come from the fact that they're very much like the X-Men in terms of being humans with powers but they're treated better. When I heard about how they were killed off due to lack of interest, I was kinda happy. They had this coming after the Terrigen Mist killed off a lot of mutants including Cyclops.
In comics, things happen and then go back to the status quote. It's something I know but I can get upset toward. It's in the moment mainly. If you want some more detail on it, check out this article for a better ,I think, explanation. If you want to check out some changes that didn't stuck for too long, check this article out. I kinda liked Captain Hydra, God Emperor Doom, and Parker Industries myself but hey, they weren't mean to last.
So Captain Marvel. I've made my dislike for her apparent but let me get this straight. I don't hate Brie Larson or the character but how Marvel is pushing her to be something like Wonder Woman much to the dislike of the others. That's my problem with her. Such as how she's worthy of Mjolnir and Cap's Shield for a future comic issue and how she killed Iron Man which I'm saying that she didn't but they're making her to be a big deal.
That's a clear indication on how Marvel is pushing her to the public's eyes. I'm not a clear judge on what makes someone a great actor but I personally. I think Cinemawins's video on Captain Marvel does a good job on changing my opinion on the character but not how she's been pushed to be the biggest deal in the world. I'll try to do better on not letting my bias over how the character and I'll be frank. I kinda like the costume with the shoulder length hair.
The short hair isn't bad but the stereotype of her being masculine doesn't help with that haircut. It's a good look on her and much better than the mohawk. That's personal bias since I've never found a mohawk on either a male or female to be attractive. It's my least favorite haircut after all. I also think that her new costume is a massive improvement over the original Captain Marvel costume. I mean that outfit shows off her feminine figure a lot.
I did like her outfit as Ms. Marvel before she changed but the new one isn't bad. I let my biases get the better of me because I hated Carol just due to the fact that Marvel is pushing her to be their Wonder Woman. In Absolute Carnage, I hated how she appeared since she wasn't in the original Maximum Carnage. After doing some research, I totally forgot how she was taken over by Venom during Siege.
That makes total sense to me. Carnage infecting her cat makes no sense though. I mean I know that it's a space cat but it's still a cat. Well, expect my bias to show in ways that you may not like. Fairy Legion is a clear example of that. Zero will be showing my bias toward certain things in comics and maybe another rant about a fanfiction like I did back at the start of Fairy Legion. Good times. Lets begin shall we and the title will make sense in due time.
Narrator P.O.V.
It was an average day in New York City. The sun was shining and people were just enjoying their lives. However, the earth was beginning to shake and something came bursting out of a building. It was a trio of giant robots and they were attacking the Big Apple. The giant robot looks to be a mixture of the Sarkroids that Curtis used and the battlesuit that General Mayhem used. It's a twenty foot tall gold and red robot.
It's body is a rectangular shape and has a muscular humanoid build. It has gold and red chest armor that hides the wiring that connects everything together. It has four long arms ,being almost five feet long, and has sharp square shoulders. The joints ,that were connected to the forearms, were very hidden being that it could be seen as a weakness. The robot's upper right arm has five long double side broadsword like fingers which are razor sharp.
The robot's upper left arm is a really big cannon/Gatling gun.. It looked deadly being the barrel has a pentagon shape to it. The robot's lower left and right arm are both clamp like pincers. The robot has six spider like legs. They're layered with gold armor. All of the legs has five missile launched racks on each one. Its shoulders have sixteen micro missiles inside of them. Its back had noticeable tank treads coming out of it.
It's a girder-like head with a sharp crest, a small gap forming a mouth like appendage, and two glowing red eyes. The head piece is shaped like a dragon with it actually being a cockpit and could contain the driver inside of it. The general public was running away from the giant robot as it was blasting anything around it with gold tachyon energy beams. These blasts made noticeable craters in anything that they touched. "Someone! Help!" shouted a man.
A dog was barking at the robot with his owner picked him up. The robot stopped its rampage and aimed its upper left arm at them, charging up. The dog whimpered as the owner closed her eyes. In a split second, something came charging through the robot and destroyed it. "Are you alright? Sorry about that. He's been on a rampage from Harlem." said a deep, masculine voice. The owner opened up her eyes to see someone standing in front of her.
He’s a large muscular male with him being slightly shorter than 7 feet tall. He’s bald with his skin glowing green and yellow eyes with no visible pupils. He wears a radiation suit over his body. It looks like a sleeveless jumpsuit with a orange and gray color scheme. His head is covered in a silver helmet that completely cover his face with only his eyes visible. His jumpsuit’s chest and legs is gray color with the sides of it being orange.
His chest had a gold mushroom cloud symbol in the center of it. His arms are covered in large, round gold gauntlets that cover the whole limb except for his shoulders. These gauntlets are connected to large silver shoulder plates with a matching gold mushroom cloud symbol on it. He wears black boots. "Meltdown. Thank you for saving me!" said the owner as the robot crashed to the ground. "I think your dog is quite adorable." said Meltdown.
The owner giggled at Meltdown with the dog smiling at the man. "Hey Meltdown. We don't have time to waist. We still have two robots to smash down." said a male voice. Meltdown turned to see his colleague Paratrooper flying above. Paratrooper looked to be Craig Queen but this wasn't the Cosmonaut. His name is Calvin Queen. He's the same age as his Prime Dimension counterpart but he actually looks his age.
He has short red hair ,with old-fashioned sideburns to it, and blue eyes. He doesn’t have his prime dimension counterpart’s beard. He wears a silver full body armor/jumpsuit with a gold circle in the chest plate. It has glowing gold circuit board like lines. He wears gold and silver armored boots, gauntlets, and shoulder plates. He wears a different version of XJ-100 Rocket Pack being that it’s a silver color with gold lines.
It was producing holographic wings that can produce explosive flechettes and retractable talons. His head is covered by a silver helmet that covers his entire head and a gold visor that can provided x-ray scanners and heads-up display. Calvin flew right up to a robot with him firing a barrage of explosive flechettes and this made several explosions. "Sorry Para but I like to have some fun since we're fighting robots." said Meltdown.
He jumped up and punched the robot that Calvin had fired his wings. Calvin was hit by the third robot's left arm and into the side of a building. "Move out of the way old man! Let me show how the god does it!" said a cocky voice. A burst of light came out and began flying through the robot. The robot had several holes inside of it with it falling to the ground. The light stopped moving and stood on the head. It formed into a human male. He looks to be in his early 20s/late teens.
His entire body ,except for his eyes and hair, are covered by a special containment suit ,that cover his entire body, which helps him control his powers. He has navy blue hair and bright red eyes. His skin is a glowing white color, almost like light itself. His suit is mostly black with sky blue lines stretched all over it. It looks like a circuit board with it forming a clock pattern in the center of it. His arms, chest, and legs are covered by silver metal plating. He wears black and blue high-top sneakers.
Calvin and Meltdown joined their ally on the third robot with the owner from earlier saying,"Thank you. Go Vindicators!". "This is normal for the Vindicators. Champions of Earth." said Meltdown with the crowd cheering for them. "Mainly because I was here! I could have taken down all of them with ease." said the suit wearing meta. "Oh shut up Helios. So is this the one contained that annoying inventor?" said Calvin.
Meltdown opened the head, seeing that no one was driving it. "Seriously?! We smashed through ten of these today and still haven't found the rat." said Helios. "Don't worry Helios. I found him and made sure that he won't be bothering us for a good while." said a feminine voice. The crowd and heroes saw the terrorist Commando. His dark blond hair had grown down to his chin and looked rather messy and his brown eyes glared at the heroes.
He has fair skin, black eyebrows, and a square shaped chin which has been called block like. He has a muscular physique. He has jagged yellow teeth. He's wearing a navy blue sleeveless shirt with a cancel logo on it. He wears a brown leather jacket. He wears gold arm braces and leg braces with it resembling revolver cylinders. He wears blue jeans and silver boots with black spikes on them. "You just got lucky! Next time, I'll....!" said Commando.
The man was pierced by purple bolts and he passed out. "Finally. He was going to go one of his super rants!" said Helios. "Yes. Thank you Empress." said Meltdown. The three heroes had a female join them on top of the robot. She has Japanese facial features. She’s 5 foot nine with a slender, yet curvy and toned build and fair skin. Her body is in the prime of her life. She has a toned stomach, long muscular yet shapely legs, buxom breasts, and ripped broad shoulders.
Her skin is covered in green scales and her eyes are yellow with silt pupils. She has long and wavy blonde hair that goes to the bottom of her shoulder blades. She has full lips. She wears a very form-fitting dark purple jumpsuit with it doing a good job at highlighting and accentuating her well-toned form. Her uniform is half zipped just below the collarbone and did a good job at showing off her breasts. She wears gray gauntlets that go up to her elbows.
They have two machete blades attached to the backhand, making it look like cobra fangs. Her entire suit is covered armored padding but it doesn’t look to have any defense. She wears gray high heeled boots. "No problem Meltdown but we still have a job to do." said Empress. "Which is? Is it another award ceremony?" said Calvin. "Nope. We have someone coming from an another dimension and we can't let that person wander free." said Empress, earning head nods from the trio beside her.
At the Statue of Liberty, a neon green light covered the sky above some trees and someone came falling toward the ground. "It's official. I really hates portals!" shouted a male voice as he fell through the trees and onto the ground. Upon standing up, he felt like he was going to puke his guts out. He did just that and into a nearby bush. "Yep. I really do hate portals." said the male with him making his puke disappear using his powers.
He walked out of the small forest with the male revealed to be Zane out of his tactical Zeta Costume and in his casual clothing. "Yep. I can tell that this portal wasn't Donald's doing. He may be able to alter a Stausosk's DNA but he can't replicated Animus and that portal was created by Animus. So Alyssa...." said Zane. The hero looked around and didn't see the super spy around him. "Okay. Guess we must have gotten separated. So where did I end up?".
Zane looked up to see the Statue of Liberty in front of him with his eyes widening. "It can't be. I mean I know that in New York or to be more specific, Liberty Island but.." said Zane. Instead of the signature Lady Liberty, Empress was there. "I'm in another dimension so what I should do is..." said Zane. Crisis Judgement instantly went off as Zane looked up to see several objects flying right toward him. They were all small square shaped robots.
The group of robots are all a dark maroon color with a black skull pattern on all four sides of the robot. "Dimensional Intruder detected. Engage and incapacitate." said a robot. The robots began to fired a barrage of maroon/white energy blasts right at Zane. "I'm so scared not!" said Zane. He turned intangible as the energy bullets went right through him. These blasts destroyed the ground below and around him. "Heh. You missed me!" said Zane.
Zane pulled down his right lower eyelid ,exposing the red underside, and stuck his tongue out at the robots. This is known as an Akanbe and here's more information about it. "Intruder identified. Switch to anti-Phantom weaponry." said the robots. Zane blocked the second round of energy blasts using several copies of Epilogue, not letting a single one get closer to him. Upon hitting a shield, the blast was able to destroy a shield.
The hero sighed as he said,"Okay. I'm in a dimension where the first things I'm coming in contact with want me dead. Why couldn't I end up in a nice dimension? Like one made out of chocolate and maybe a decent prize!". Before the robots could fire another barrage of energy at the intruder who managed to survive the two previous barrages, they were pierced right through by a group of black ,with a crimson red webbing pattern, tendrils that came out of Zane's body.
Zane smirked as he watched the robots fall to the ground into pieces and the tendrils went back into his body. "And that's what happens when you mess with Legion Zero!" said Zane. He walked over to them and pulled out a computer chip. It was in the shape of a pentagon with it being a solid gray color and has a black flame like pattern to it. There was a gold N in the center of it. "Okay. I think I know who's in charge of this dimension." said Zane.
Before Zane could do any more investigation, the hero made Lazarus Soul appear in hand. He made a turquoise forcefield around him as he watched several maroon energy blasts coming at him from all sides. If he didn't have the forcefield around him, these blasts would back a serious punch. "Okay. So who's up next? Is it robots or something else like man?" said Zane. The hero saw that there was a large group of robots walking toward him.
They looked to be eight feet tall with their arms and legs being thick as cannons. All of them were colored dark maroon ,with a black skull design on the front of the robot, with all of them having black heads. They have maroon colored optics lenses to see out of. On their arms and legs, they have a gray armband like the Nazis. However, they didn't have the swastika on it but a black P covered in flames.
All of the robot's left arm is an arm cannon with it currently smoking, indicating that it was recently used within the last couple of minutes. The right arm of the robots is five monster like claws instead of fingers. Zane blinked at the army of robots with him saying,"So who are you guys are with? Let me guess. You're with Avalon.". The robots were silent with Zane saying,"Just kidding. I know that you're with Nemesis. Robots are such hard critics when it comes to humor.".
One of the robot said,"You won't be escaping us Intruder. Surrender now or else, we'll be filling you full of holes.". "Well, I don't surrender so here's my counter offer." said Zane. The hero rushed toward the closet robot and tacked it to the ground. He used his sword to slice right through, exposing that it didn't have a pilot. "At least, I'm not hurting any humans but the artificial intelligence community won't be happy about this." said Zane.
Upon seeing one of them destroyed, the rest began firing on Zane who easily blocked their shots with Epilogue. Each one of these blasts pushed Zane back with the hero getting annoyed by this. "Pretty sure that their weaponry is going to kill me or seriously harm if it touches me since I destroy the first wave." thought Zane as he made a copy of Epilogue appear. He sprouted two arms from his back and he tossed the second shield toward the robots.
The second shield sliced them in half, causing them all to explode. Zane caught the second shield as he said,"Now that's an explosive finale!". It was dead quiet as Zane sighed, placing his shield and sword back in his pocket dimension. "Man. Even when I make a decent pun, no one is around to hear it. So lets find out where in the Omniverse I am and hopefully where Alyssa ended up. A good hero never leaves a friend behind." thought Zane.
As he held out his watch in front of him, Crisis Judgement went off. "Okay. Lets see if the third wave of enemies is actually a challenge unlike the first two." thought Zane, activating Vulcan Force. A solid beam of light was heading toward him with it saying,"You're going down intruder!". Zane cocked his right fist back and punched the beam of light. This sent the beam of light flying into a lampost and it reformed into Helios with the meta landing in a pile of destroyed robots.
Helios shook his head as he said,"How did you hit me?! I was light and I can't be touched!". Before Zane could say anything, several grenades appeared at the bottom of Helios's feet and exploded. The light metahuman screamed in pain with Zane saying,"Thanks whoever did that.". "Hey boss. The intel was correct. I'll need some support since the protector destroyed two scouting groups and attacked Helios. The Empress won't be pleased with this." said a voice from behind him.
Zane turned around to see Harry standing there with him looking slightly different from when he last saw his fellow Arcadia U alumni just the other day before he went to go save Alyssa. His brown ,with noticeable blond streaks, hair is slightly longer than before, covering his neck but it still looks like an explosion hit it. His brown eyes have a more noticeable red tint than before. He's wearing a black long sleeved vest jacket with a explosion design at the cuffs of his jacket sleeves and collar.
Under his jacket, he wears a white muscle shirt that shows off his muscular physique. He wears blue jeans ,with a sliver belt, with black accents. His pants are tucked into his black shin-length combat boots with gold on the ankles and steel toed. He wears green metallic padding over his forearm, knee guards, and shoulderguards. He wears brown fingerless gloves. His eyes are protected by grenade styled goggles.
Zane looked at Harry with the hero saying,"So you're not with the living light bulb and the robots right Harry?". "That's correct protector. To show you that me and my partners here for you, just watch and learn. My name isn't Harry but Bomber." said Bomber. Zane looked up to see another group of robots ,being both the first and second wave of robots, heading toward them with him saying,"So are you going to do something or....".
As they were approaching, two giant hands of sand came out of the ground and they crushed them to pieces. "That's either Bedrock or Sahara." said Zane. The robots that escaped the sand flew toward Bomber and Zane were frozen and shattered upon crashing into the ground. "So this guy is supposed to save us from Nemesis, he seems pretty weak. I hope we didn't decide to trust her just because she's cute guys." said a voice.
Zane turned to see Bedrock aka Walter Davis and Cryonic aka Thomas Wright standing there with the latter arms crossed. Bedrock is easily much taller than Bomber, Cryonic, and Zane. He has spiky brown hair and brown eyes. He wears a dark blue ,with white stripes, shirt with elbow-length sleeves and exposes his six pack. He has three thin white lines circling around his shoulders, forming an hourglass.
He's wearing a wide green ,with three thin white stripes that form an hourglass, scarf that covers the lower half of his mouth. He wears dark black jeans with white cuffs and brown sandals. Thomas is similar to his physical appearance back in the prime dimension. He's wearing a dark green puffy heavy plated parka with a high collar. It's left open to reveal his plain red shirt. He wears black pants and thick, dark green armored ski boots.
He wears silver thermal goggles with transparent lenses over his eyes. "Got to agree with Blizzard there Glaciate." said the taller male. "Cobblestone. How about you guys take your complaints somewhere else? We have to survive the Nemesis Drones since he destroyed two waves of them by himself!" said Bomber, throwing several explosions at a group of robots. "Still don't get why we decided to trust her. So if you're the protector, do your job." said Blizzard.
The counterpart to Cryonic threw his hands up and froze them just as Cobblestone ,aka the Bedrock counterpart, smashed them using two earth hammers. "And you may want to do it soon since we got a lot of them coming and fast." said Cobblestone, pointing to a huge group of robots. "Fine. Lets see if they can handle this. Omni-Directional Beam Array!" said Zane, focusing Steel Gray Impulse into his hands within seconds.
Zane stretched them with all ten fingers aimed in a different direction. At the tip of his fingers, there is a small silver sphere. Zane released the energy being that several beams hit all of the robots, with them crashing into the ground or ocean below. "Okay. He's stronger than your average dimensional intruder and you shouldn't piss him off." said Bomber. "Fine." said Glaciate. "So who are you guys and who is this lady you're trusting? Harry. What's going on?" said Zane.
Cobblestone looked at Bomber with him saying,"So how does he know your old name?". "I think she was right about her and him being from a dimension where things aren't crap. We have a lot to talk about and the boss will want to see him. Not here though since I think light bulb boy is waking up from the stun grenades. Lets move out Insurgencies." said Bomber. The trio of alternative dimension counterparts was running with Zane saying to himself,"Wow. A pretty lame name but whatever.".
A bit later, the trio and Zane were on a speed boat and leaving the island. "So you probably know me by a different name but here, my name is now Hudson like the river. The one driving is our master of ice Tucker and his copilot is Wilder, master of the earth itself." said Hudson. "Yeah. I know you guys where I'm from where you and Wilder are heroes and Tucker is a villain. So who is the woman that you don't trust?" said Zane.
Hudson sighed as he said,"She came from an alternative dimension like you did three weeks ago and she was sure about you coming here on this exact date and time. You did.". "Can you give me a name or what? I can't exact read your minds and who were those robots?" said Zane. "She didn't give us a name but the boss trust her so we have to trust her too. Those robots work for Nemesis and the living light bulb is a member of their elite group of "heroes" called the Vindicators." said Tucker.
Wilder nodded as he said,"Yeah. We've been under the control of Nemesis since World War 2. They won and pretty much, the rest of the world surrender thanks to the Empress. However, we've recently gained some hope. You and the woman arriving here from another dimension means something and I think you can do it. I mean you're strong to dismantle the empire just like Project Peacebringer did for what Nemesis did back in your dimension.".
Hudson nodded with him saying,"He's right. The female we decided to trust gave us information about you being here. It's been a week since she's been captured so the boss decided to send us to check it out. She also didn't give us a name". "Uh huh. So how good are you dodging energy blasts Tucker?" said Zane. "What are you....?" said Tucker. The water around the boat was getting blasted by energy blasts and Tucker was blasted in the chest.
The cryokinetic fell out of his chair with Wilder saying,"Tucker!". "Focus Cobblestone! Get the portal started up now!" said Hudson. "On it." said Wilder, pulling down a level. The boat began to move faster with Hudson holding an injured Tucker. "All who defy me deserve nothing more than death." said a voice. Zane turned to see Empress standing on a metal platform alongside Fallout and behind them, there was a group of Nemesis Droids plus Helios and Paratrooper.
Paratrooper launched a barrage of explosive flechettes at the boat with Zane blocking them using his telekinesis, throwing it at the robots around the Vindicators. "Okay. I may not know who three of them are but I know the one in the armored suit. When I'm from, his name is Cosmonaut aka Craig Queen. He's either doing this for a paycheck or something else." said Zane. "It seems that you and her are both from out of town so I'll have to teach you how we do things here." said Empress.
The woman snapped her fingers with Fallout making a massive ball of radiation. "Take this you rebelling fools!" said Fallout, launching the ball right toward the boat. "So when is the boat leaving because I think they don't want us?" said Zane, getting ready to catch it. "Is he seriously trying to catch it? What a fool." said Calvin. "Yeah. He just got lucky with that punch earlier." said Helios with him rubbing his cheek.
Hudson chuckled with him saying,"Yeah. That was still funny when I saw it. Hey. Do you know how to make a cover for us to escape?". "I do but should we run? I mean their leader is right her so we should....." said Zane. "We tried attacking her when she was alone and she killed a good amount of us before we escaped. Now hide us!" said Hudson, grabbing Zane's collar. "Fine!" said Zane, turning into Smoke Form and covered the entire area in smoke.
The robots tried to find the insurgencies and Zane but their scanners couldn't detect them due to how thick the smoke was. The ball of radiation hit the ocean, causing an explosion. "Damn it! Go after them." said Helios. "Since when do we listen to you?" said a robot. "Go right now or else." said Empress. "Yes Empress!" said the robot. They flew into the smoke cloud with one robot saying,"The intruder and Insurgency have disappeared. Unable to track them any further.".
Helios punched a nearby robot with him saying,"Seriously?! We let them escape! What the hell? We never let the insurgencies escaped before now. This doesn't look good for our brand! So I have to ask. are you getting soft or what Empress?". "Don't worry. I have a plan and since you're so worried about them, I'll let you go check on our special prison." said Empress. "Seriously?! That's the graveyard shift!" said Helios.
Paratrooper chuckled with him saying,"Yeah but you made her mad so get going superstar.". Helios growled before vanishing. "So Empress. The Insurgency has scurried back into their many holes and we don't know which one they went into it. What do you want us to do?" said Fallout. "Just leave them alone for now. Nothing can stop Nemesis since we're relentless." said Empress. The three members of the Vindicators flew away with the Nemesis Droids.
In an desert somewhere in Nevada, the speed boat ,holding the insurgencies and Zane, appeared and crashed into the ground. "Okay. Wish that I hadn't drove into a ramp but whatever. So does everyone have their important parts?" said Wilder. "Yep. Our guest doesn't have his lunch though but who cares." said Tucker, glaring at Zane. He had deactivated Smoke Form and puked his guts out. "Only when it comes to going through portals. So where are we?" said Zane, wiping away his puke.
Wilder looked at Zane with him saying,"We're in the Great Basin Desert. Nemesis won't be able to track us since we got some stealth generators that we "borrowed" from Nemesis after a raid. Thank the boss and.....". Zane was frozen from the waist down with him saying,"So do you not like me or what?". "You just had to aggravated Nemesis huh? We would have been able to get you out of there if you didn't fight back. You're too risky." said Tucker, hands covered in frost.
Hudson looked at the cryokinetic with the explosion metahuman saying,"There is no time for being an asshole Tucker. I'll release him and you'll have to deal with the boss being mad at you.". "Tucker isn't wrong commander. Why should we trust a woman who got over half of our rebellion captured or possibly killed just because she saw something about a project. She got captured too you know! Why didn't he show up when she did? We needed you a LONG time ago." said Wilder.
Zane looked at Wilder with him saying,"Honestly, I have no idea why I'm here or what happened to my partner and friend Silver Moon but I need to do. I'm going to help you guys out in taking down Nemesis but I need to know how they came to be.". Hudson looked at Tucker and Wilder with the two backing down. "Good. I'll explain it to you once they arrive." said Hudson. "And who are they exactly?" said Zane, crossing his arms.
The ground began to shake below the four with Zane saying,"You said that this place was secure and hidden from Nemesis.". "We are." said Tucker. A group of six vehicles came into Zane's view with them sticking out in the rural landscape. All of them look to be large and rectangular dark gray tractor trucks. They were the size of a double-decker bus ,vertically, and two lines of traffic wide. They had tank treads for wheels and tinted bulletproof windshields that hid the drivers.
Each vehicle had a large box-like device on its back with a large exhaust pipe poking out from the top. It was billowing out cloud of thick, black smoke. The front of the truck had a massive drill with a series of multi-colored gems embedded into the metal drill. This vehicle moves by four engines in the back. The vehicles were traveling in a conga line formation with the sides of them having a strange but familiar symbol to Zane.
It's a silver gear with a large drill head pointing downwards in the center of the gear and the middle truck had a red cross symbol on it. The vehicles rolled to a stop about a dozen feet from Zane and the trio he found himself. "So are they friendly or what?" said Zane. "Yes and stop talking. You're about to meet the leader of the Insurgency." said Hudson. "And you should know that I can't do stop taking whatsoever." said Zane.
Tucker sighed with him saying,"Let me freeze his mouth shut please.". "It won't work Glaciate. She was very clear about letting him speak his mind." said a female voice. A door to the passenger seat of the first truck popped open and a familiar looking woman came out. She has slightly taller than the average human female. She's 5 foot 8. She has a slim yet curvy figure but it’s toned. She’s more of an soldier than a model.
She has a muscular yet voluptuous body, toned broad shoulders, buxom breasts, firm buttocks, and long muscular legs. She's wearing a black full body sleeveless suit. It was showing off her curves rather with a swan-necked collar. It has white streaks on the arms and sides of the suit, forming a circuitry board pattern to it. In the center of her suit, there is a logo that matched the sides of the trucks. This logo is all too familiar to Zane.
It's a silver gear with a large drill head pointing downwards in the direct center of the gear. She wears silver ,with azure blue lining, kneepads, shin guards, shoulder pads, and thigh guard. She wears pure silver gauntlets. She wears thick black knee-high boots with two jagged azure blue lines around the upper edge of the boots. She wears a full body obsidian black helmet with it being both bulky and sleek looking. It's covers her head completely with white eyepieces over her eyes.
Several grenades were strapped across her chest. She walked toward the group with a slight limp in her step. "Men. It's good to see that you got the projector with too much injury on your end." said the woman in a soft, tired sounding voice. "Um commander. I did get blasted in the chest while trying to get this device." said Tucker, pointing to his burned chest. "You'll be just fine. So it's nice to meet you protector." said the woman.
Zane smiled with him saying,"Nice to meet you too. So do I know you? I mean you look like someone I know but she wears a different armor than you.". "Okay. Since we're going to be working together in stopping Nemesis, I'll show you what's behind the mask." said the woman. She removed her helmet by touching the side of it, shocking Zane. She has light tanned skin. She has shoulder/to her upper back length brown hair and it was tied up in a ponytail.
She has azure blue eyes with freckles. Her right eye is covered by a eye patch. "My name is Danielle Malone but everyone either calls me Commander, Dani, or Drill. Nice to meet you." said Dani. Zane was quiet with Wilder saying,"I think you shut him up Commander.". "She said that it would happen if we ever met. Wish she was kidding. Now come on. We can't stay here too long." said Dani with her sounding serious. "Why?" said Zane, recovering.
Dani sighed as she said,"With you showing up, Empress will try her best to find us since you're a massive thorn in her side. We need to get you to safety.". "Cool." said Zane, breaking out of the ice by just phasing out of it. Tucker looked at Zane with the hero saying,"I could have broken out with no problem but I need you to trust me.". Zane followed Dani to the ring of vehicle with him watching the trio who saved him climb into the back of the truck with the red cross on the side.
Zane blinked with him saying,"So why are we going in a different truck?". "Reasons. My partner doesn't like it when a lower ranked member goes in a vehicle with a commander. She's weird but I love her." said Dani, smiling. "Her?" said Zane. The line of truck went on with Dani saying,"Yes. I swing that way. Is that a problem?". "Nope. None whatsoever. Love comes in many different forms and there is nothing wrong with it." said Zane, leaning back in his chair.
Dani smiled with her saying,"It seems that you're an open minded person. I think I'm going to like working with you Mr. Protector of the Earth.". "Me too Dani but call me Zane. That's the name my dad and mom gave me so I like people calling me that. Or call me Legion Zero." said Zane. "Okay. I suggest taking a rest. Our base is a long way from where you crashed." said Dani. "Sure thing. I like that idea a lot." said Zane, closing his eyes as he took some rest.
Zane later woke up to the sound of a phone buzzing and he groaned. He opened his eyes to see that he was alone and in a bed. "Okay. I'm pretty sure that my cell service doesn't work in wherever their base is. So it must be that." said Zane, looking at his watch. Zane sat up in the bed that he had been given by Dani earlier. The room was bland looking with dark, gray walls and a total of four bunk beds in the room. All of them were given lack luster green sheets.
The hero was laying on the bottom bunk of the one closet to the door. Zane sat up and lightly pressed down on the dark gray band that's around the faceplate. A light purple holographic screen came out of the watch with Zane touching the tab for communication. "Hey there. So what's up? You normally don't call me on my watch since you kinda just warp here." said Zane as a holographic image of Parker appear over the watch
Parker sighed as he said,"I would have child but somehow, you found yourself in a dimension that no rational being would enter unless they were crazy, unlucky, or stupid. Please tell me that you were the middle option and not the last one.". "I'm going to say the middle one so why did you call me out of the blue? I mean you should know that I can handle myself especially when I'm in the middle of a dimension that's forbidden to enter apparently." said Zane.
The elder Eazairvian looked at Zane with him saying,"Before you say anything, I'm not worried about you.". "I wasn't going to say that." said Zane, whistling. "Yes you were. I know you Zane. I need to tell you this but be careful. The watch was damaged on your arrival to this dimension. It can still be used but I'm unaware of what could happen. Magic of any kind is unpredictable." said Parker with him sighing.
Zane nodded with him saying,"Uh huh. That isn't good to hear but I'll try to keep it out of enemy hands since well, it would be like giving some a nuke for Christmas right?". "You're correct. Try to get back here as soon as you can since I'm unaware of what magic did to my precious device. As you very well know Zane, I can't make a proper repair in the field since my equipment is here on my lab and I hate to move the equipment." said Parker.
The hero nodded with him saying,"Yeah. I mean I was brought here to deal with a massive threat that has taken over the world so I need to stay here. Tell Danny and the others where I am okay?". "Fine. I wish you good luck. Whatever you have planned, I know you can do it. If you have any problems with it, don't use it okay?" said Parker. He was gone as Zane hanged up and left the room. He enter the hall with him seeing nothing.
Zane heard,"Yeah. The boss is really minimal.". The Cross Species turned to see Hudson standing there with him saying,"Yeah. The boss told me to come get you when you woke up from your nap princess.". "Thanks and don't call me princess." said Zane. "Sure thing your highness." said Hudson with Zane controlling himself from hitting the explosion metahuman. The two began walking down a featureless hallway that twisted and turned with no pattern what so ever.
After a few minutes of walking with him passing by several opened and closed rooms, the duo had stopped in front of a large set of doors. "Need to put in the password so don't look. I mean you don't get to know it until you're a loyal member of our little troop." said Hudson with him walking over to a keypad. He typed a passcode with Zane watching the door slid open to the top. "Cool." said Zane as the duo walked inside and the door closed behind them.
The room looked like a business room/throne room of some kind. A large reinforced window covered the ball wall, looking down on the barren landscape below. A large throne/chair sat in front of it with five chairs on either side of the throne arched in a half circle. There were eleven seats in total. Dani sat in the biggest chain with her being dead center as the duo approached her, the other seats were completely empty. "I need to talk with Zane by myself Bomber." said Dani.
Hudson nodded with him saying,"Sure thing boss lady. I'll leave you two lovebirds alone.". He wave the two goodbye with him leaving the room. As the door closed, there was a very uncomfortable silence. "Wow. He's such a kidder. I mean you totally like girls and while I like both genders, I'm not a cheater." said Zane with him chuckling as Dani looked at him with a calculating look. "So are you alright?" said Zane.
Dani looked at him as Zane said,"Well, I can tell that everyone here respects you and your lady friend as a tough but kind leader that will free the world from the iron grip of Nemesis. However, I can tell that you're reaching your breaking point. It's nerve wracking to fight against a organization that controls the entire world. You have my best friend's face and like how he can tell when I'm lying, I can tell when he's overwhelming and needs some help.".
The hero smiled with him saying,"But now, I'm here to help you out! I'll take down Nemesis and free you guys from your torture.". Dani looked at Zane with her unable to say anything. She jumped down from her throne and tacked Zane to the floor, hugging him tightly and crying. "Um. What's going on with you?" said Zane, clearly shocked about how the badass Dani was crying. She was holding onto him tightly.
Even though she looked like his best friend and his older sister, she was shorter than both of them with Zane trying to think of a time that Danny cried like this. "Well, I can't think of a time Danny cried like this so I guess I have to comfort her like I do with Rae after a really sad movie. I'm not cheating on Rae." thought Zane as he rested his left hand on her head. She flinched slightly upon Zane's hand touching her head but calmed down.
Instead, she relaxed into the gesture with him rubbing her fingers through her hair. Dani loved it when her girlfriend did this for her and she thought,"I'm sorry babe but his hands are like magic or something!". After a few minutes, Dani got off Zane with her cheeks pink. "Sorry about that. You just reminded me of the good old days before Nemesis became a major pain in everyone's ass." said Dani as she turned from him.
Zane chuckled with him saying,"It's fine Dani. I mean sometimes you just need to tackle a guy you just met since he reminds you of the days before fighting against an oppressive society.". "Thank you Zane. So lets get back to business." said Dani with Zane nodding. "Yeah. I'm here to help but I need to know how Nemesis came to rule this Earth." said Zane, crossing his arms. "Okay. It began many years ago. Before I and most of the rebellion was even born." said Dani.
The woman sighed as she said,"The Nazis had developed something called the Atomic Bomb before the United States did. They weren't afraid to use it on us and well, they decided to test it on most of our big cities at the time. They nuked London, New York, and Paris plus some other cities. After those disasters, Nemesis came along. They set up outposts throughout the world and they had tech that was like it came from the future. They turned everyone into metahumans.".
Zane nodded with him saying,"So if everyone had power, why didn't anyone rebel against Nemesis and the Nazis.". "We would have but there was Empress Medusa. She made anyone who challenged her get annihilated. It's history 101. Hitler ruled with an iron rule thanks to presidents and prime ministers who decided to support him in order to survive. It's history 101 Zane. The Insurgency is just a couple of metas who no longer want to be oppressed." said Dani.
The Cross Species smirked with him saying,"Okay but I'll be changing your history. So this woman who told you about me arriving. Mind telling me anything about her? I don't want to go in without a plan on who brought me to you.". "Like my men probably told you earlier, she didn't give me a name exactly but she said that we could trust you. Those trucks we have are pretty much the most advanced thing we got in our arsenal." said Dani.
Zane nodded as he heard,"Move aside Hudson! I need to have a word with the guy we'll put our hope on!". "I told you that the commander wants to talk with her alone!" said another voice. "Oh boy. As you can tell, Tucker wasn't exactly for you being here. Let him in." said Dani as the door opened. The trio of Hudson, Tucker, and Wilder walked in with the cryokinetic looking pissed at Zane. "Oh wow. I really don't think you like me." said Zane.
Tucker glared at him with him saying,"She promised us this big butt kicking warrior with the power to smash Nemesis into pieces but all, I see is someone whose bark is bigger than his bite! You're not the one!". "Whatever has happened, I will try and save it." said Zane. The two glared at each other with Wilder saying,"So why didn't we try harder to stop him from doing something stupid like this again?". "Do you really think we could have stopped him to begin with?" said Hudson.
Wilder was quiet with Dani saying,"Glaciate. Stand down now, Zane is here to help.". "But." said Tucker with him looking at his leader's cold glare and backing down. "Thanks. Didn't want to fight my ally. So do you mind telling me who else beside you guys and those ones who were driving those trucks are in the Insurgency?" said Zane. "It's complicated. Aside from us five in the room, there are four others who can seriously dent the control Nemesis has over us." said Dani.
Tucker clenched his fists with him saying,"It was the ten of us but she got captured. She's the one who gave us the info about you Protector.". "Okay. That isn't good but well, I think we can make it work. After this, do you have a graveyard?" said Zane. "Yeah but why?" said Wilder. "I want to honor those who have fallen trying to free the world from Nemesis." said Zane, earning a look from the four metahumans.
Before they could say anything, there was a sudden loud whine and a red light filled the room. It blinked on and off for a few seconds before turning off. "God. That alarm is super annoyed. I get why we have it but it's kinda annoying right man?" said Hudson, turning to Zane who covered his ears. "I don't like loud noises so what is the alarm for? Intruder?" said Zane. "I wish but no. It's the fire alarm and it's probably Seer. She tends to go overboard when she's excited." said Wilder, chuckling.
The door opened again as Zane heard a familiar voice,"Seriously girl? I know that we got a new ally but did you seriously need to burn the pool again? You know that the boss isn't going to happy about that.". "Again? I want to know how she did it once." thought Zane. "Yeah I know but this guy is going to stop Nemesis! Plus Dani can't stay mad at me even when I do something stupid." said a more energetic voice.
Two females walked it with Zane saying,"Okay. It's good to see you two except you have no idea who I am beside being the Protector right?". The two females turned out to be Gwen and Sonya with both ladies looking different than before. Gwen is still 5 foot 7 with an athletic yet sexy physique to her. Her long and wavy lagoon blue hair is cut to her chin, making her coral green eyes stuck out more than they already do.
Like in the prime dimension, her eyes are relaxing and kind. She's wearing a dark blue dress ,that goes down to her knees, with gold clock patterns and her dress sleeves go down to her wrists. Under her dress, she wears black leggings. She wears dark blue boots that go up to her knees. She wears a dark red/purple sash tied around her waist. She wears black fingerless gloves that go up to her elbow traced in gold.
Sonya's skin is white but not at all pale. Her red hair is in a high ponytail, exposing her black beetle shaped birthmark and noticeable bangs. She has green eyes and blue lipstick. She has a noticeable scar over her nose, being a constant reminder of war does to people. She wears a black jacket that has a low furred collar with the shoulders covered in metal plus chains and spikes. Under her jacket, she's wearing a red tank top with it torn in some places and exposed the armor she wore underneath.
She wore black sleek leather cargo pants ,with a gray belt, and heavy boots. She has two energy pistols in holsters, just waiting to be used. She wears black fingerless gloves with her right hand being a robotic replacement, given its silver hue. The Gwen counterpart smiled brightly with her saying,"Nope! My name is Geneva Vasquez! My codename is Seer and this is my good friend Savannah Barnett aka Fuse! I'm also the commander's best friend!".
Savannah shook her head as she said,"Sometimes. Sorry about her burning the pool again boss.". "It's fine. I think I know that my girlfriend is just excited about getting someone to help us take down our enemy." said Dani. "So how does she burn water?" said Zane. "Science is confusing. That's my take away from this." said Tucker. "Ah. That's a smart way of thinking." said Zane. Dani heard her ear piece crackled, indicating that a transmission was coming in.
Dani quickly put a finger up to her ear with the group noticing her expression changed from hope to worry and then sadness. She slowly withdrew her finger from her ear with her looking grim much to his partners. "Adriana and Nigel are back but their group was attacked and only escaped with a portion of supplies we need to survive. Some of our men were also captured by Nemesis troops as well." said Dani. "Is there any good news beloved?" said Geneva.
The leader shook her head no as she said,"No. Adriana got injured. A stray energy blast from a Nemesis Drone got her and she's barely hanging on. I could tell that Nigel was worried sick about her and the ones captured but he cares about everyone in the Alliance like they were a member of his family. We have a problem. We need to get her to the med bay as possible and well, the doctor we have is sick with a seriously bad flu. She's going to...".
Zane's expression turned serious with him turning into Specter Form, shocking Geneva. "I was going for Swift Form but Specter Form will work. I'll be back." said Zane. He flew off with him phasing right through the walls. "So I have to ask. Does he know where the entrance to our base or where the med bay is?" said Savannah with her arms crossed. "He'll find his way there eventually." said Hudson with a smirk. Zane was flying through the base as high speed.
He was phasing through the walls and ceilings, startling rebels until Zane found the main entrance. "I guess it's time to find out who Adriana and Nigel are." said Zane, phasing through the closed door. The ghost flew away from the base and eventually found some people heading toward the place with him saying,"Huh. Adriana and Nigel are Alice and Nazar respectively.". Adriana's skin is peach colored with her looking rather cute.
She has her rather unruly chin length pink hair the same as in the Prime Dimension and her yellow eyes stick out. She's wearing a black leather jacket over a dark green camouflage shirt. It has a brown strap of knives. She has the symbol of the Insurgency aka the same symbol that Dani has. She has a pair of golden guns and throwing stars resting on her silver pants. She is wearing a pair of tan colored combat boots.
Nigel's short and spiky blue/purple hair looked to be a buzz cut and his usually warm brown eyes looked worried for his ally. He has an impressive physique and muscular figure but still looks rather slim. He's wearing a skintight crimson red ,bulletproof, chest plate over a long sleeved black shirt. He has steel straps over his biceps and shoulders under spiked shoulder pads. He wears black jeans with a crimson-red diamond-shaped pattern embedded to the top and bottom of the pants.
He's wears black boots with crimson red diamond shaped bolts in them and metal soles and plating to the side and front of them. His boots are also spiked. Zane noticing that her stomach was bleeding due to the wound that she suffered at the hands of Nemesis. Zane landed with Nigel looking at the ghost and was going to punch it into oblivion. "Listen you Nemesis scum! You make a big mistake in coming to fight me!" said Nigel.
Zane gulped with him saying,"Wait Nigel! I'm not a member of Nemesis! I just joined like ten minutes ago! I'm here to get Adriana to safety.". Nigel cocked an eyebrow at Zane with him lowering his guard slightly. "Okay. Why should I trust you? I mean you could be just lying to me and going to kill my comrade right in front of me!" said Nigel. "You really are just like Nazar. You got to trust me since Adriana's life is danger." said Zane.
The ghost grabbed Nigel who was still holding Adriana in his arms. "Hey wait! Put me down!" said Nigel, shocking the rebels that were with him. Zane ignored him as the ghost flew back to the base and he phased right through the entrance of the base with Nigel shivering. "Okay. That feels really weird man." said Nigel. "You get used to it. Trust me on this." said Zane. Zane flew around the base with his two passengers with Nigel hanging on for dear life.
Zane was zooming and whizzing around the base without a plan. Zane made his way back to the main room where the rest of the group was standing there. "Sorry but I need to drop him off with you and Adriana will be okay I promise Dani and company." said Zane, flying off into the base and dropping Nigel on the ground. "Okay. I really hope that he isn't here to betray us. Kinda seems like he not since he's more worried about Adriana than I am. Who is he?" said Nazar, slowly standing up.
Dani helped him up and she said,"A friend and the med bay is down the hall and to the right.". "You are the best Dani!" said Zane's voice. "Do you know that he was here or what?" said Wilder. "It was a strong guess that just happened to pay off." said Dani, smiling. "That's my girl!" said Geneva. Zane flew down the hall and making a sharp right before making his way right through the automatic doors to the med bay.
The floor was bare white tile with the walls painted a dull, gray color. There were twelve hospital beds that lined both walls opposite of each other and there was a door in the back. "So I know the answer to this but is there anyone here?" said Zane, clutching Adriana tightly in his arms. The girl's injury was getting worse by the second with Zane turning back to human and landed on the ground with the girl in his arms.
Zane sighed as he said,"I guess this is what Parker meant by problems. I picked Swift Form but I got Specter Form instead and I turned back to normal like I did back in the day. Okay. Lets see if I can get a form that can heal others. Lets go Restore Form.". Instead of turning into Restore Form, he turned into Magus Form. "Okay. I guess becoming Azarel Soulfire works too. Time to get you on the bed." said Zane, placing her a nearby bed and went to working on healing her.
After a few minutes, Zane turned back to normal and he took a look at Adriana. Her chest was rising and falling faintly. She had a dozen hoses and tubes connected to parts of her body from their origins aka IV's, monitors, and computers. "Okay. That's good so thanks the gods that the Insurgency has some decent medical supply." said Zane, taking a sigh of relief. "Thank you for helping me but you are human right?" said a voice.
Zane turned to see Adriana wide awake with her staying at Zane with a smile that reminded Zane of his friend back home. "So are you okay? I did try to heal you with magic but I kinda wish that I got the form that can heal your body using your own cell." said Zane. "It's fine. I'm only here because I got careless." said Adriana. "What do you mean by that?" said Zane. "Using my powers, I made my way through an Nemesis base to find information on our friends who got captured." said Adriana.
Dani walked in with her saying,"And what did you get Shroud?". "A good amount boss." said the woman with her coughing. "How about we let her rest before we question her huh?" said Zane. "We don't have time to waste. She knows this." said Dani. "Yeah don't worry so much. Nemesis has taken her to the secret base over in the ruins of Chicago and we need to hurry. The Empress is planning to her clone her and use something called Orothos to create an army that will wipe us out." said Adriana.
Zane looked at the ladies with him saying,"Orothos. That's something from my dimension and named after a powerful metahuman who won our World War 2 plus America invited the Nuke first thanks to a man by the name of J. Robert Oppenheimer.". "Okay. So I guess we'll make a plan and get her back before we're wiped out. You can rest now." said Dani. "Thanks boss." said Adriana, closing her eyes as Dani turned her head to Zane. "You ready for some work?" said Dani. "Yeah." said Zane.
Later, the wind was flying past and over his entire body. Zane had been assigned by Dani to recover and rescue the woman who was from another dimension like him and had recommended him to the Alliance by any means possible. Zane looked down to see his two teammates. It's Nigel and Savannah who are the top agents of the Insurgency. They were partners ever since high school and apparently nearly inseparable.
Zane was easily reminded of the relationship between Nazar and Sonya due to these two sharing the same face except more hardened from a never ending battle for freedom. Nazar was good friends with pretty much everyone from their class at Arcadia U and had been the biggest cry out of the whole group when Sierra died during the Massacre. Sonya was upset about her friend's death too but Harry was unable to visit her grave without blowing something up.
The Cross Species couldn't face them since he thought that they blamed him for being unable to save Sierra from Jessica despite Harry making it clear that they don't using an explosion to send a injured Zane flying much to Rachel's worry. This was a few days after Zane's eye surgery. The duo of Nigel and Savannah weren't against working with Zane but both of them had other things on their mind. It was mainly about Adriana who was slowly recover from her injury.
Zane was thankful that the two weren't going to complained and whine about working with someone who can transform into different forms but not the one he wanted. Zane tried to turn into Teleport or Turbo Form but got Terrapin Form instead much to his dismay. He was able to fly through the air by spinning his large flipper-like arms and his legs fused into a third one much to the shock of his two teammates.
The large tortoise/turtle was flying through the air using the air that was going out of his chest to keep him stable. The hero was flying above the duo of Nigel and Savannah who were driving two ATVs on the ground below them. Zane had asked them how they were avoiding attracting the attention of Nemesis. Savannah sharply responding with that their vehicles are blocking their radars and the trio was silent for the rest of the trip.
Zane couldn't handle the silence being that he really hated the Omniverse and its love for making him suffer and reward him. After a few more hours of quietly, Zane heard,"Hey there hero boy. Stop. You kinda stick out.". "Right." said Zane, slowly going down. "And here we are Protector. The location where they're contained the woman who brought you to our attention. Adriana got us this info and we're not letting her down." said Nigel.
The trio came to a completely stop at the base of a extensive and vast looking castle that stuck out within the ruins of the Windy City. The black and gray walls were high and thick. It was covered from top to bottom in spikes. There were spikes on the walls, towers, windows, and Zane was pretty sure that the architect who designed this place had a spike fetish for sure. It had turrets as Nemesis Drones patrolled the area.
Towers stood tall and grim at each corner being that a sort of large cannon mounted to the top of each one. A large tower stood smack in the center of the castle topped with spiked spires and twisted chimneys that screamed hopelessness. There were hundreds of Nemesis Droids that patrolled the base being Zane was thankful that they weren't spotted yet. On further inspection, Zane saw see a deep moat surrounding the base on a small island on Lake Michigan.
There was an rickety old bridge being the only way in and out. A soft glow came from the ring around the base and Zane was pretty sure that whatever was in there wasn't very friendly. Zane landed on the ground with him turning back to normal. During his free time, Zane had shaved his beard and he felt weird. "Man. It's been so long since I last shaved." said Zane as the two insurgences pulled up next to him with the girl looking annoyed.
Nigel noticed this with him sighing. "I really wish that Savannah wouldn't blame him for Adriana's injury. He didn't do anything." thought Nigel. "I hope he gets shot." thought Savannah. The trio ducked down behind a destroyed car and made their way silently until they reached the base of the wall. "So how are we going to get over there without alerting the guards?" whispered Zane. "You're the one with every power in the world so figure something out." whispered Savannah.
Zane shrugged as he turned into Brain Form ,frog form, with him groaning. "Fine. I can make this work." said Zane with him climbing up the base of the wall and leaving the two behind. "Okay then Savannah. While you may be mad at him for what happened to Adriana which he didn't do, you can't deny how cool that was." whispered Nigel. "Fine. Lets get this over with." whispered Savannah. She took a grappling hook off of her belt and began swing it, gathering momentum.
Savannah said,"Are there any guards there now? The Protector should have taken care of them but knowing him.....". "Nope. They aren't any so throw it before they show up." said Nigel with Savannah tossing the hook up and it latched onto something. She gave it a good few tugs just to make sure as the duo scaled up the wall. They reached the top but saw several destroyed Nemesis Drones with Zane standing over him.
Zane smirked with him saying,"They didn't expect to have their allies turned on them. I don't feel bad about this.". Savannah glared at him as she jumped down to the ground below. Nigel picked Zane up with him saying,"Really sorry about her Zane. She's just mad at you for what happened to Adriana.". "And you're not?" said Zane. Nigel shrugged with him saying,"I was at first but you went out of your way to save her so you're good in my book. Savannah just needs to lighten up.".
The trio clung to the shadows, staying silent as a Nemesis soldier ,looking the same as the Prime Dimension aka Zero Episode 142, or Nemesis Drone walked/floated by them. The base was filled to the brim with them. Zane looked around with him using his brain to calculate every eventuality that could possibly happen if they moved at a certain time. "So can we go?" whispered Nigel. Zane nodded as the boy dropped the frog and rushed forward.
Savannah followed after him with Zane going after the two but using his camouflage to blend in better than the two. They quickly pressed themselves against the wall of the main building just as guards passed on the walls above and not noticing the destroyed robots. "Hold on you two. We're going in another way." said Zane as he turned into Prodigy Form. "Hey! I got the one I wanted for once!" said Zane as he grabbed the duo's shoulders.
He phased the two with him into whatever room they appeared in. It was a janitor's closet of some kind and it was empty at the moment. Zane turned back to normal with Savannah decided to let him have it. "How dare you?! You weren't going to tell us of your plan to get it!" said Savannah. "I would have but...." said Zane. "Don't say anything! We don't need your sarcasm! I'm not whoever you think I am! I lost my brother because of Nemesis so shut the hell up right now!" said Savannah.
Nigel whispered,"Calm down Savannah.". "Calm down? Why are you defending him? I can't believe that we got stuck babysitting him. We can do this without your help!" said Savannah. Zane took it all in silence and he looked annoyed. If she was going to act like a jerk, he wasn't going to work with her. She clearly hated him just because she blamed him for Adriana's injury despite him being the one who healed her.
The alternate counterpart to one of his closest friends was trying to defend him but Savannah hated him just because he had a different way of doing this. "If you hate me fine. That's your opinion and you're allowed to have it Savannah. I'll go save this woman whoever she is and despite me liking Nigel, I rather work solo since you're being a bitch." said Zane, turning into Vine Form. "I can adapt to this unlike you guys." said Zane, stretching. "No just wait..." said Savannah.
She was stopped by Zane looking at her. "If you hate me, fine. Do your own thing. I'm going to do what I do best and that is saving people. I may not follow the rules but I get result. Later." said Zane as he burrowed his way through the ground and down into a dimly lit, stone hallway. He turned to the left. "So are you going to say something about what just happened partner?" said Nigel. "I'm not being a bitch right?" said Savannah.
Nigel was quiet with Savannah sighing. "Okay fine. I'll work with him but why does our leader believe so much in him?" said Savannah. "No idea. I guess she trusts him or something. I mean we could defy our leader but...." said Nigel. "Yeah. I know what would happen if we deny our leader's orders." said Savannah, shutting her partner up. The two went after Zane being that they were going to have do this his way or something else might happen.
In an unknown room, a woman coughed and desperately tried to reach the glass of water that was so close and yet so far. She knew that it would be pointless since she had tried many times to reach the glass but it was always reach. "My sister can be so petty. She's probably enjoying this from her ivory tower. I can't believe how fucked up the Prime Dimension could have been if the allies didn't have me, Stan, Torpedo, Warrior, or Orothos." thought the woman, groaning.
The woman would have said something about this but her throat was desperately dehydrated. Her beautiful skin was covered in cuts from the many beatings that she "earned" if she didn't tell them what they wanted. They wanted to know how to get the Insurgency but she would rat our her allies like that. She had been here for a week since she was captured but she knew that her allies in the Insurgency were safe from Nemesis for another day.
She thought,"I know that it was a risk going on that mission but if she is here, we can save the world from Nemesis again plus Zane will show up any day now. I know him too well. He always appears at the last second and saves the day usually making his enemies annoyed with his unique sense of humor if you can it that." thought the woman with a smile. She knew that they were getting impatient with her lack of answers, demanding her torturer to increase the pain during their sessions.
If she hadn't be tortured before in her life, she would have broken by now but she's a survivor. The table that she was tied to was a large, metal ring. Her arms and legs were spread eagle and shackled to the wheel by large chains. She barely had the strength to even lift her head as she heard a male voice echoed through the room,"So you must be excited to see me. I mean I'm always excited to see you since our Empress has a unique sense of humor.". The woman was naked.
Her birthday suit would have been exposed but there was that pesky white towel that covered her from her breasts to her waist to give her some modesty. "I'm thankful for the towel but I rather have a skimpy bikini than this. Dam you Suzuki." thought the woman. "Not talking again? I guess you must be pretty thirsty. Maybe I should give this water that's on the table in front of you but you can't see it can you huh?" said another male voice.
In front of her, there were two scientists being the same ones from Zero Episode 141 and the woman couldn't see anything after she was tortured by them using stun batons. She was beaten by them for a solid hour with her unable to see. However, her other senses had heightened. She could hear the soft breathing from the duo and her nose picked up how the scientist on the right stepped into a drying puddle of her own blood.
Her ears picked up on the sound of her blood tricking freely from her ankle where a large blade had stabbed her. The blade hadn't been removed since it was put inside of her three days ago and these freaks had been twisting it deeper into her burning flesh every hour or so. She was stronger than normal woman but she was still human. She couldn't use her partner to weaken the pain being that her sister had taken her away upon being captured.
The room that they were in was a large lab like chamber with it being rather spacious. There was a pillar for a computer right in the middle of the room and nearby the woman's prison. There were many computer systems on the walls, constructing zones where scientists ,matching the duo who were torturing her, were working on inventions and every part of the room was made out of cold metal. There was a set of stairs above on the second floor which lead into a viewing area.
The left scientist said,"So how do you like to be tortured Miss.". The woman couldn't answer her since her throat was dry due to a lack of liquid. "Dude. You should know that she can't say a damn thing but no, the Empress wants us to get information from her." said the right scientist with him pulling out a sword. "So why can't we give her what she wants again?" said the left scientist, pointing to the glass of water. It was just out of the woman's reach.
Miss knew this being that upon hearing the sword coming out, she knew what was going to happen next. Strong, fiery pain erupted in her other ankle. "I'm sure that you're mad about my boys checking you out but what can I say? You've always been quite attractive even though you're over a hundred years old." said a sinister yet metallic voice with a very distinct German accent. The woman turned her head to the location of the voice and growled.
She may be unable to see at the moment but she could never forget the voice of Nemesis's top scientist Doctor Siegfried Mcintyre aka Hijack. Siegfried is tall and well muscled, giving him a impressive physique. He has lightly tanned skin. He has golden blonde hair, a greasy looking goatee, and orange eyes with crosshairs for pupils. He has noticeable wrinkles ,from old age mainly, around his eyes.
He's wearing a white lab coat/trench coat with a dark maroon undershirt and silver tie with small crimson red skulls on it. Like the cloned scientists around him, he has a gray armband. Unlike the scientist's armbands, his armband has a black crown covered in flames. He wears large black gloves and brown leather belts. On his forehead, he wears a silver metallic headband with a blue center in the middle and a small y shaped extension. It's connected to his head through several tubes
Sieg looked at her and he smiled. "So what is the status report on her kleiner Freund?" said Sieg with him turning to the two scientists that were torturing her. "It's going much better than us getting any information from her sir." said the left scientist. "So why can't we give the glass of water again?" said the right scientist. Sieg looked at him with him saying,"Because the Empress has a very sick sense of humor and if you do that, she'll kill you.". "Ah. That's right." said the right scientist.
The woman said with her voice sounding rather faint due to her lack of liquid,"So why haven't you read my mind already? I'm sure you copied that power by now.". "It would be too easy and well, I like seeing my old enemy in a position like this. So do you want to know what I'm working for?" said Sieg. "Should you really be telling her that sir? I mean it's the old super villain telling the hero their plan cliche." said the right scientist.
After saying that, said scientist was thrown into the wall by an invisible force. "Sometimes. I make them stupid and our dear guest knows what I've been working on since I've been working on it since before any one of you were born." said Sieg, shaking his head. "Is it the new Nemesis Drones? We'll have their armor, circuitry, and weaponry ready for the Empress's performance in five days." said the left scientist.
Sieg shook his head as he said,"Yes and no. I'm enjoying our group success in this dimension but seeing the prime dimension's lack of us there is such a pain. That is where my plan comes to be. I've always wanted an army of metahumans by using the DNA of the two strongest metahumans who worked alongside the Allies in the Prime Dimension. Those two were the skills of Silver Moon and the power of Orothos. It may have taken me decades to finally achieve this but it has happened!".
The woman laughed with the left scientist looking at her in confusion. "Your creator is stupid. You may have the armor and weapons for these creatures of yours but you're missing one half of your super important formula." said the woman with her coughing up some blood. "Oh. I won't be revealing how I achieve this dream. For now, I'll let my minions have their fun with you. I created them to be like horny teens." said Sieg.
Sieg watched the woman struggle to free herself with him laughing. "You're trying to escape which won't work but it will do one thing. Moving your towel off." said Sieg. The woman stopped much to the other cloned scientists's dismay. "Since you're done with that display, have you gotten what you need from her?" said Sieg. "Yes. We didn't get information on the Insurgency but we did get her DNA. She's such a good resource." said the left scientist.
He pointed to a lot of scalpels, syringes and other medical equipment. Before anything else could go on, there was a loud knock. Everyone in the room turned to the sealed door to the room. It had two large fist shaped dent on it as if two large fists hit the door. "See? I told you that he would mess things up! And you just had to agree with his plan!" said a female voice. "Come on. It isn't like you would have any other better ideas! And he isn't here!" said a male voice.
The left scientist turned to his creator with him saying in concern,"So should we do something about this or?". "If my boss was here, yes but since she isn't. Let it happen." said Sieg. "Why do you hate him so much? You barely know him!" said a male voice. "That's my point! All of you are blinded by how he could stop Nemesis but he can't!" yelled a female voice. "Can't you just have a little faith in something? Plus our leader believes in him and he kept Shroud from dying!" said the male voice.
Sieg chuckled with him saying,"This is the most interesting thing that has happened here in a long time.". "I guess but where did you get the bag of popcorn?" said the left scientist, looking at his creator who was eating popcorn. "I decided to make a machine that brings me popcorn with a single thought. I'm a genius and we get hungry." said Sieg, shrugging his shoulders. "Can I have something sir?" said the scientist.
The doctor nodded with him saying,"While we may be under the control of a woman who has some serious sister issues, she doesn't have control of my lab so go nuts.". The left scientist grabbed a handful of popcorn. "You don't know him partner but our leader does. The person we're here to save is someone you trust despite not knowing her for a long period of time. So what's up with you and I want an answer?" said the male voice.
After saying that, there was a deafening silence that echoed through the lab. "I'm pregnant with your child idiot!" yelled the woman. "Oh snap! I didn't see that coming!" said Sieg, earning an eye roll from the towel wearing woman. "You're what?!" said the male. "I'm pregnant with your child Nigel Kern." said the woman. "Wow. When did this happen Savannah? I mean we've been together since high school but we've always used protection." said Nigel.
Savannah sighed as she said,"Remember New Years? I didn't have my period four weeks after our night together and before the doc got sick, she told me about having your son. I was going to tell you Nigel after you came back from your mission but then Shroud got injured. Her getting injured scared me and I blamed our latest recruit for her getting injured. She's like a member of my family and I don't want to lose another family member.".
On the other side, Nigel looked at his partner with him saying,"Look Savannah. I know that you were worried about Adriana but we need to have a serious talk after this.". "Fine. So where is he?" said the woman. "I left you guys alone so you can talk." said a third voice. "Oh shit. Activate the....!" said Sieg. He couldn't finish issuing his order as another knock was heard being that there was a large dent next to the two fist sized dents.
The scientists took up arms and they scrambled to get their weapons. Sieg tried to get them into position but the doors broke open and made a large noise on the marbled floor. The towel wearing woman cringed due to the noise with her hearing,"Sorry about that but I'm sure that you can repair the damages.". Sieg looked to see Zane standing there with him in Orb Form. "Who are you?!" said Sieg, not knowing who this intruder was.
Zane looked at Sieg with him saying,"I was going to ask you the same thing since my allies are focused on taking down your minions.". After hearing that, Sieg saw Nigel and Savannah taking out his creations using their hands. The woman looked up to see a blurred image talking to another blurred image with her smiling. "I knew you would show up eventually." said the woman. "You know her boy?!" said Sieg.
The superhero looked at Sieg with him saying,"Yeah I do. She's my partner in the Alliance Silver Moon and I'm sorry for letting this happen to you. Really hate portals.". "You can't do nothing to me! I'm the head scientist to Nemesis who rules this world!" said Sieg, firing a green energy beam at Zane using his left hand. "Um. I can do that because you're not a god." said Zane, switching forms into Chimera Form.
Zane sighed as he said,"I wanted Scarecrow Form but this will work. I hate magic, portals, and magical portals.". He turned his body into steel with him withstand the energy blast and extended his right arm toward the scientist. Sieg went back to evade the shapeshifter's attack but was punched in the face by Nigel. This punch sent the scientist across the room and right into the central pillar. He was going to break out of the wall but the pillar melted around him.
Sieg was trapped with him looking right at Savannah who used her powers on him. "While I may hate you right now Zane for something out of your control, I'll thank you for preventing anyone to come after us." said Savannah. "Yeah. We only had to take out the scientist inside of this room since we just took out the guards that were inside of the tower. Do you two mind trying to get out Alyssa?" said Zane.
Nigel looked at the towel wearing woman with him saying,"Um sure but what are you going to do man?". Before he could get an answer, he watched Zane get blasted by a green energy beam and saw Sieg floating toward Zane, ignoring the two members of the Insurgency. The scientist kept blasting him with green energy beams. "Oh. That make sense." said Nigel as he and Savannah went over to Alyssa's prison.
Sieg glared right at Zane ,while ignoring the two rebels, as the scientist said while continuing to blast Zane with two energy beams from his hands,"Did you two really think that prison would hold me? I copied the powers of intangibility from a Phantom I examined! Foolish Insurgencies! I'm Doctor Siegfried McIntyre! The head scientist of Nemesis and I'm about to achieve my goal of controlling the earth with my army of metas!".
Zane looked at the scientist with him saying,"Oh wow. You have an ego. I should tell you that your attack is doing nothing to me.". The hero flew right above Sieg's energy beams with the scientist growling at him. "You may be able to dodge like a coward but you can't defeat me!" said Sieg as he turned around, firing an energy beam from his forehead instead of his hands. "Okay. I'm getting sick of the energy beams but hey, it beats hammers." said Zane.
The hero's left arm expanded in size with him sending it toward Sieg. The scientist made a force field form around him as it took the blunt force of Zane's attack. "Don't you see you foolish child? My genius can't be outmatched!" mocked Sieg. He looked over to see Nigel and Savannah trying to free Alyssa from her prison with him smiling. "You may think that but I should tell you that nothing is impossible. I can break your prison and barrier at the same time." said Zane.
Zane switched forms with him turning into Dancer Form. "You switched forms again. What kind of creature are you?!" said Sieg with him being confused and interested in the latest member of the only group who tries and fight the Insurgency. "Just your dimension travelling superhero." said Zane as he rushed toward Sieg. The scientist made another forcefield to block Zane's attack like he did before but it failed unlike.
Sieg's eyes widened with him saying,"Impossible!". "With him, nothing is impossible. Thanks for that Nigel and congrats on being a dad." said Alyssa as she had finally gotten something to drink thanks to Nigel giving her the cool water slide down her parched throat. "Yep. I manipulated your chi and that stopped you from using your powers so I can do this." said Zane, cocking back his left fist and punching Sieg in the face with a high amount of force.
The scientist was sent flying into the wall and began bouncing like a pinball above the four. "So did you mean to do that or what?" said Savannah, watching him go. "Kinda but hey, I ain't going to complain. Get ready to catch her Savannah and Nigel better close his eyes just in case the towel comes off." said Zane, slashing Alyssa free as Savannah caught her and Nigel closed his eyes just in case.
Alyssa smiled as she said,"Thanks for saving me guys. So do you mind taking these blades out of me? They really do hurt.". "Okay." said Zane, pulling both blades out of her and the spy braced herself for the pain. "Oh god. That looks painful." said Nigel, trying not to puke as he watched the spy bleed. "It does Nigel but I've felt worse. So do you guys have an escape plan or what?" said Alyssa. Nigel and Savannah looked at Zane with him saying,"And we do. Lets move out.".
The four left the room with Zane carrying Alyssa on his back. "So are you sure about him being unable to chase?" said Savannah, talking about the head scientist who just crashed into the ground after they left. "He'll be out for a good long while." said Zane. The quartet turned left, retracting their steps away and taking out any guards ,that they missed earlier, before coming at a crossroads in the castle.
Savanna looked down one hallway being that she could heard some footsteps heading toward them with Nigel hearing the same thing down the other hallway. The final hallway ,being the one in front of them, seemed clear with Zane aiming his right arm in front of him. "I may be have trouble right now but here's hoping that I can do this." said Zane as his right arm changed into Diamond Form's right arm. "Sweet. I was hoping for Frost Form but Diamond Form works too." said Zane.
Zane created two large walls of diamonds which blocked off the left and right hallway. The four went down the third pathway after that. "Zane. Can I ask you for a favor?" said Alyssa. "What is it?" said Zane as his right arm turned back to match Dancer Form. "We need to go find Kelly. Those bastards took her off me since Sieg detected an unknown presence on me. They ripped her off me and I can't leave her behind." said Alyssa.
Nigel looked at her with him saying,"And who is Kelly?". "Her partner. I'm going to go find her and don't worry. I'll be back in a flash. Just head to the exit and try not to die." said Zane as he turned into Swift Form. "Yes! I got the right one!" said Zane. Alyssa was in his arms ,like a bride, as she said,"So you're having some problems with your watch aren't you?". "Yeah. I blame magic but I'll fix it later. Now lets jet!" said Zane.
The two were gone with Savannah said,"Wow. That was fast.". "So do you still hate him?" said Nigel as the two were running down the hallway. "A bit. He does make this rescue mission a bit easier since he tends to draw people's attention. I guess I owe him an apology after we get back." said Savannah as the two reach a set of doors. "Stand back. I got this." said Nigel, focusing his powers and covering him in dark red armor.
Nigel cocked his fist back and then punched the heavy set of doors with a solid right punch, sending the door flying into the courtyard. The two walked out with them looking for any guards. The two ran through the courtyard without any trouble. Thanks to Vine Form, they had taken out the guards that were on the walkways earlier. Savannah spotted a Nemesis Drone toward them with her pulling out her pistols and fired a quick round of energy bullets.
Savannah looked around as she spotted a group of Nemesis Drones flying toward them being that they were going to get ready to fire upon them. However, they were stopped by a single arrow ,that released an EMP upon contact, and this arrow came from behind them. "And that's how you shoot down a bunch of every robots who are trying to kill your friends." said a male voice. "Nice shot Zane. Your aim is oh so impressive." said a female voice.
The two turned to see a clothed .being her signature costume, Alyssa and Zane in Archer Form. Nigel smiled upon seeing them but his smile disappeared. "Um you guys. What are you doing with that exactly?" said Nigel. Alyssa smiled as she pointed to the stasis pod behind them. and she said,"This will help Zane and I save the world from Nemesis. So do you think you get us out of here?". Zane nodded as he deactivated Archer Form and made an indigo colored spiral portal, warping them away.
Dani bit down on her lip and walked back and forth as she waited for the trio of Nigel, Savannah, and Zane. She heard about their exploits since they had taken out a base belonging to one of the top figureheads of Nemesis aka Sieg. A portal opened up in front of her. The group of Alyssa, Nigel, Savannah, and Zane came out with the hero holding the stasis pod. "Hey there boss. We're back and without any scratches." said Nigel.
Savannah smiled as she said,"Yeah and we got back Alyssa.". "Sorry about not giving you a name before Dani but well, I kinda didn't trust you at first." said Alyssa. "Yet you trusted me even though I was in a prison when we met." said Zane with a smirk. "Your case is different since I was working for Silas at the time and he did a very through job in researching you." said Alyssa. "So what are inside of the pod you two?" said Dani. "Something to help save the world." said Zane, smiling

Zane smiled with him saying,"Nice to meet you too. So do I know you? I mean you look like someone I know but she wears a different armor than you.". "Okay. Since we're going to be working together in stopping Nemesis, I'll show you what's behind the mask." said the woman. She removed her helmet by touching the side of it, shocking Zane. She has light tanned skin. She has shoulder/to her upper back length brown hair and it was tied up in a ponytail.
She has azure blue eyes with freckles. Her right eye is covered by a eye patch. "My name is Danielle Malone but everyone either calls me Commander, Dani, or Drill. Nice to meet you." said Dani. Zane was quiet with Wilder saying,"I think you shut him up Commander.". "She said that it would happen if we ever met. Wish she was kidding. Now come on. We can't stay here too long." said Dani with her sounding serious. "Why?" said Zane, recovering.
Dani sighed as she said,"With you showing up, Empress will try her best to find us since you're a massive thorn in her side. We need to get you to safety.". "Cool." said Zane, breaking out of the ice by just phasing out of it. Tucker looked at Zane with the hero saying,"I could have broken out with no problem but I need you to trust me.". Zane followed Dani to the ring of vehicle with him watching the trio who saved him climb into the back of the truck with the red cross on the side.
Zane blinked with him saying,"So why are we going in a different truck?". "Reasons. My partner doesn't like it when a lower ranked member goes in a vehicle with a commander. She's weird but I love her." said Dani, smiling. "Her?" said Zane. The line of truck went on with Dani saying,"Yes. I swing that way. Is that a problem?". "Nope. None whatsoever. Love comes in many different forms and there is nothing wrong with it." said Zane, leaning back in his chair.
Dani smiled with her saying,"It seems that you're an open minded person. I think I'm going to like working with you Mr. Protector of the Earth.". "Me too Dani but call me Zane. That's the name my dad and mom gave me so I like people calling me that. Or call me Legion Zero." said Zane. "Okay. I suggest taking a rest. Our base is a long way from where you crashed." said Dani. "Sure thing. I like that idea a lot." said Zane, closing his eyes as he took some rest.
Zane later woke up to the sound of a phone buzzing and he groaned. He opened his eyes to see that he was alone and in a bed. "Okay. I'm pretty sure that my cell service doesn't work in wherever their base is. So it must be that." said Zane, looking at his watch. Zane sat up in the bed that he had been given by Dani earlier. The room was bland looking with dark, gray walls and a total of four bunk beds in the room. All of them were given lack luster green sheets.
The hero was laying on the bottom bunk of the one closet to the door. Zane sat up and lightly pressed down on the dark gray band that's around the faceplate. A light purple holographic screen came out of the watch with Zane touching the tab for communication. "Hey there. So what's up? You normally don't call me on my watch since you kinda just warp here." said Zane as a holographic image of Parker appear over the watch
Parker sighed as he said,"I would have child but somehow, you found yourself in a dimension that no rational being would enter unless they were crazy, unlucky, or stupid. Please tell me that you were the middle option and not the last one.". "I'm going to say the middle one so why did you call me out of the blue? I mean you should know that I can handle myself especially when I'm in the middle of a dimension that's forbidden to enter apparently." said Zane.
The elder Eazairvian looked at Zane with him saying,"Before you say anything, I'm not worried about you.". "I wasn't going to say that." said Zane, whistling. "Yes you were. I know you Zane. I need to tell you this but be careful. The watch was damaged on your arrival to this dimension. It can still be used but I'm unaware of what could happen. Magic of any kind is unpredictable." said Parker with him sighing.
Zane nodded with him saying,"Uh huh. That isn't good to hear but I'll try to keep it out of enemy hands since well, it would be like giving some a nuke for Christmas right?". "You're correct. Try to get back here as soon as you can since I'm unaware of what magic did to my precious device. As you very well know Zane, I can't make a proper repair in the field since my equipment is here on my lab and I hate to move the equipment." said Parker.
The hero nodded with him saying,"Yeah. I mean I was brought here to deal with a massive threat that has taken over the world so I need to stay here. Tell Danny and the others where I am okay?". "Fine. I wish you good luck. Whatever you have planned, I know you can do it. If you have any problems with it, don't use it okay?" said Parker. He was gone as Zane hanged up and left the room. He enter the hall with him seeing nothing.
Zane heard,"Yeah. The boss is really minimal.". The Cross Species turned to see Hudson standing there with him saying,"Yeah. The boss told me to come get you when you woke up from your nap princess.". "Thanks and don't call me princess." said Zane. "Sure thing your highness." said Hudson with Zane controlling himself from hitting the explosion metahuman. The two began walking down a featureless hallway that twisted and turned with no pattern what so ever.
After a few minutes of walking with him passing by several opened and closed rooms, the duo had stopped in front of a large set of doors. "Need to put in the password so don't look. I mean you don't get to know it until you're a loyal member of our little troop." said Hudson with him walking over to a keypad. He typed a passcode with Zane watching the door slid open to the top. "Cool." said Zane as the duo walked inside and the door closed behind them.
The room looked like a business room/throne room of some kind. A large reinforced window covered the ball wall, looking down on the barren landscape below. A large throne/chair sat in front of it with five chairs on either side of the throne arched in a half circle. There were eleven seats in total. Dani sat in the biggest chain with her being dead center as the duo approached her, the other seats were completely empty. "I need to talk with Zane by myself Bomber." said Dani.
Hudson nodded with him saying,"Sure thing boss lady. I'll leave you two lovebirds alone.". He wave the two goodbye with him leaving the room. As the door closed, there was a very uncomfortable silence. "Wow. He's such a kidder. I mean you totally like girls and while I like both genders, I'm not a cheater." said Zane with him chuckling as Dani looked at him with a calculating look. "So are you alright?" said Zane.
Dani looked at him as Zane said,"Well, I can tell that everyone here respects you and your lady friend as a tough but kind leader that will free the world from the iron grip of Nemesis. However, I can tell that you're reaching your breaking point. It's nerve wracking to fight against a organization that controls the entire world. You have my best friend's face and like how he can tell when I'm lying, I can tell when he's overwhelming and needs some help.".
The hero smiled with him saying,"But now, I'm here to help you out! I'll take down Nemesis and free you guys from your torture.". Dani looked at Zane with her unable to say anything. She jumped down from her throne and tacked Zane to the floor, hugging him tightly and crying. "Um. What's going on with you?" said Zane, clearly shocked about how the badass Dani was crying. She was holding onto him tightly.
Even though she looked like his best friend and his older sister, she was shorter than both of them with Zane trying to think of a time that Danny cried like this. "Well, I can't think of a time Danny cried like this so I guess I have to comfort her like I do with Rae after a really sad movie. I'm not cheating on Rae." thought Zane as he rested his left hand on her head. She flinched slightly upon Zane's hand touching her head but calmed down.
Instead, she relaxed into the gesture with him rubbing her fingers through her hair. Dani loved it when her girlfriend did this for her and she thought,"I'm sorry babe but his hands are like magic or something!". After a few minutes, Dani got off Zane with her cheeks pink. "Sorry about that. You just reminded me of the good old days before Nemesis became a major pain in everyone's ass." said Dani as she turned from him.
Zane chuckled with him saying,"It's fine Dani. I mean sometimes you just need to tackle a guy you just met since he reminds you of the days before fighting against an oppressive society.". "Thank you Zane. So lets get back to business." said Dani with Zane nodding. "Yeah. I'm here to help but I need to know how Nemesis came to rule this Earth." said Zane, crossing his arms. "Okay. It began many years ago. Before I and most of the rebellion was even born." said Dani.
The woman sighed as she said,"The Nazis had developed something called the Atomic Bomb before the United States did. They weren't afraid to use it on us and well, they decided to test it on most of our big cities at the time. They nuked London, New York, and Paris plus some other cities. After those disasters, Nemesis came along. They set up outposts throughout the world and they had tech that was like it came from the future. They turned everyone into metahumans.".
Zane nodded with him saying,"So if everyone had power, why didn't anyone rebel against Nemesis and the Nazis.". "We would have but there was Empress Medusa. She made anyone who challenged her get annihilated. It's history 101. Hitler ruled with an iron rule thanks to presidents and prime ministers who decided to support him in order to survive. It's history 101 Zane. The Insurgency is just a couple of metas who no longer want to be oppressed." said Dani.
The Cross Species smirked with him saying,"Okay but I'll be changing your history. So this woman who told you about me arriving. Mind telling me anything about her? I don't want to go in without a plan on who brought me to you.". "Like my men probably told you earlier, she didn't give me a name exactly but she said that we could trust you. Those trucks we have are pretty much the most advanced thing we got in our arsenal." said Dani.
Zane nodded as he heard,"Move aside Hudson! I need to have a word with the guy we'll put our hope on!". "I told you that the commander wants to talk with her alone!" said another voice. "Oh boy. As you can tell, Tucker wasn't exactly for you being here. Let him in." said Dani as the door opened. The trio of Hudson, Tucker, and Wilder walked in with the cryokinetic looking pissed at Zane. "Oh wow. I really don't think you like me." said Zane.
Tucker glared at him with him saying,"She promised us this big butt kicking warrior with the power to smash Nemesis into pieces but all, I see is someone whose bark is bigger than his bite! You're not the one!". "Whatever has happened, I will try and save it." said Zane. The two glared at each other with Wilder saying,"So why didn't we try harder to stop him from doing something stupid like this again?". "Do you really think we could have stopped him to begin with?" said Hudson.
Wilder was quiet with Dani saying,"Glaciate. Stand down now, Zane is here to help.". "But." said Tucker with him looking at his leader's cold glare and backing down. "Thanks. Didn't want to fight my ally. So do you mind telling me who else beside you guys and those ones who were driving those trucks are in the Insurgency?" said Zane. "It's complicated. Aside from us five in the room, there are four others who can seriously dent the control Nemesis has over us." said Dani.
Tucker clenched his fists with him saying,"It was the ten of us but she got captured. She's the one who gave us the info about you Protector.". "Okay. That isn't good but well, I think we can make it work. After this, do you have a graveyard?" said Zane. "Yeah but why?" said Wilder. "I want to honor those who have fallen trying to free the world from Nemesis." said Zane, earning a look from the four metahumans.
Before they could say anything, there was a sudden loud whine and a red light filled the room. It blinked on and off for a few seconds before turning off. "God. That alarm is super annoyed. I get why we have it but it's kinda annoying right man?" said Hudson, turning to Zane who covered his ears. "I don't like loud noises so what is the alarm for? Intruder?" said Zane. "I wish but no. It's the fire alarm and it's probably Seer. She tends to go overboard when she's excited." said Wilder, chuckling.
The door opened again as Zane heard a familiar voice,"Seriously girl? I know that we got a new ally but did you seriously need to burn the pool again? You know that the boss isn't going to happy about that.". "Again? I want to know how she did it once." thought Zane. "Yeah I know but this guy is going to stop Nemesis! Plus Dani can't stay mad at me even when I do something stupid." said a more energetic voice.
Two females walked it with Zane saying,"Okay. It's good to see you two except you have no idea who I am beside being the Protector right?". The two females turned out to be Gwen and Sonya with both ladies looking different than before. Gwen is still 5 foot 7 with an athletic yet sexy physique to her. Her long and wavy lagoon blue hair is cut to her chin, making her coral green eyes stuck out more than they already do.
Like in the prime dimension, her eyes are relaxing and kind. She's wearing a dark blue dress ,that goes down to her knees, with gold clock patterns and her dress sleeves go down to her wrists. Under her dress, she wears black leggings. She wears dark blue boots that go up to her knees. She wears a dark red/purple sash tied around her waist. She wears black fingerless gloves that go up to her elbow traced in gold.
Sonya's skin is white but not at all pale. Her red hair is in a high ponytail, exposing her black beetle shaped birthmark and noticeable bangs. She has green eyes and blue lipstick. She has a noticeable scar over her nose, being a constant reminder of war does to people. She wears a black jacket that has a low furred collar with the shoulders covered in metal plus chains and spikes. Under her jacket, she's wearing a red tank top with it torn in some places and exposed the armor she wore underneath.
She wore black sleek leather cargo pants ,with a gray belt, and heavy boots. She has two energy pistols in holsters, just waiting to be used. She wears black fingerless gloves with her right hand being a robotic replacement, given its silver hue. The Gwen counterpart smiled brightly with her saying,"Nope! My name is Geneva Vasquez! My codename is Seer and this is my good friend Savannah Barnett aka Fuse! I'm also the commander's best friend!".
Savannah shook her head as she said,"Sometimes. Sorry about her burning the pool again boss.". "It's fine. I think I know that my girlfriend is just excited about getting someone to help us take down our enemy." said Dani. "So how does she burn water?" said Zane. "Science is confusing. That's my take away from this." said Tucker. "Ah. That's a smart way of thinking." said Zane. Dani heard her ear piece crackled, indicating that a transmission was coming in.
Dani quickly put a finger up to her ear with the group noticing her expression changed from hope to worry and then sadness. She slowly withdrew her finger from her ear with her looking grim much to his partners. "Adriana and Nigel are back but their group was attacked and only escaped with a portion of supplies we need to survive. Some of our men were also captured by Nemesis troops as well." said Dani. "Is there any good news beloved?" said Geneva.
The leader shook her head no as she said,"No. Adriana got injured. A stray energy blast from a Nemesis Drone got her and she's barely hanging on. I could tell that Nigel was worried sick about her and the ones captured but he cares about everyone in the Alliance like they were a member of his family. We have a problem. We need to get her to the med bay as possible and well, the doctor we have is sick with a seriously bad flu. She's going to...".
Zane's expression turned serious with him turning into Specter Form, shocking Geneva. "I was going for Swift Form but Specter Form will work. I'll be back." said Zane. He flew off with him phasing right through the walls. "So I have to ask. Does he know where the entrance to our base or where the med bay is?" said Savannah with her arms crossed. "He'll find his way there eventually." said Hudson with a smirk. Zane was flying through the base as high speed.
He was phasing through the walls and ceilings, startling rebels until Zane found the main entrance. "I guess it's time to find out who Adriana and Nigel are." said Zane, phasing through the closed door. The ghost flew away from the base and eventually found some people heading toward the place with him saying,"Huh. Adriana and Nigel are Alice and Nazar respectively.". Adriana's skin is peach colored with her looking rather cute.
She has her rather unruly chin length pink hair the same as in the Prime Dimension and her yellow eyes stick out. She's wearing a black leather jacket over a dark green camouflage shirt. It has a brown strap of knives. She has the symbol of the Insurgency aka the same symbol that Dani has. She has a pair of golden guns and throwing stars resting on her silver pants. She is wearing a pair of tan colored combat boots.
Nigel's short and spiky blue/purple hair looked to be a buzz cut and his usually warm brown eyes looked worried for his ally. He has an impressive physique and muscular figure but still looks rather slim. He's wearing a skintight crimson red ,bulletproof, chest plate over a long sleeved black shirt. He has steel straps over his biceps and shoulders under spiked shoulder pads. He wears black jeans with a crimson-red diamond-shaped pattern embedded to the top and bottom of the pants.
He's wears black boots with crimson red diamond shaped bolts in them and metal soles and plating to the side and front of them. His boots are also spiked. Zane noticing that her stomach was bleeding due to the wound that she suffered at the hands of Nemesis. Zane landed with Nigel looking at the ghost and was going to punch it into oblivion. "Listen you Nemesis scum! You make a big mistake in coming to fight me!" said Nigel.
Zane gulped with him saying,"Wait Nigel! I'm not a member of Nemesis! I just joined like ten minutes ago! I'm here to get Adriana to safety.". Nigel cocked an eyebrow at Zane with him lowering his guard slightly. "Okay. Why should I trust you? I mean you could be just lying to me and going to kill my comrade right in front of me!" said Nigel. "You really are just like Nazar. You got to trust me since Adriana's life is danger." said Zane.
The ghost grabbed Nigel who was still holding Adriana in his arms. "Hey wait! Put me down!" said Nigel, shocking the rebels that were with him. Zane ignored him as the ghost flew back to the base and he phased right through the entrance of the base with Nigel shivering. "Okay. That feels really weird man." said Nigel. "You get used to it. Trust me on this." said Zane. Zane flew around the base with his two passengers with Nigel hanging on for dear life.
Zane was zooming and whizzing around the base without a plan. Zane made his way back to the main room where the rest of the group was standing there. "Sorry but I need to drop him off with you and Adriana will be okay I promise Dani and company." said Zane, flying off into the base and dropping Nigel on the ground. "Okay. I really hope that he isn't here to betray us. Kinda seems like he not since he's more worried about Adriana than I am. Who is he?" said Nazar, slowly standing up.
Dani helped him up and she said,"A friend and the med bay is down the hall and to the right.". "You are the best Dani!" said Zane's voice. "Do you know that he was here or what?" said Wilder. "It was a strong guess that just happened to pay off." said Dani, smiling. "That's my girl!" said Geneva. Zane flew down the hall and making a sharp right before making his way right through the automatic doors to the med bay.
The floor was bare white tile with the walls painted a dull, gray color. There were twelve hospital beds that lined both walls opposite of each other and there was a door in the back. "So I know the answer to this but is there anyone here?" said Zane, clutching Adriana tightly in his arms. The girl's injury was getting worse by the second with Zane turning back to human and landed on the ground with the girl in his arms.
Zane sighed as he said,"I guess this is what Parker meant by problems. I picked Swift Form but I got Specter Form instead and I turned back to normal like I did back in the day. Okay. Lets see if I can get a form that can heal others. Lets go Restore Form.". Instead of turning into Restore Form, he turned into Magus Form. "Okay. I guess becoming Azarel Soulfire works too. Time to get you on the bed." said Zane, placing her a nearby bed and went to working on healing her.
After a few minutes, Zane turned back to normal and he took a look at Adriana. Her chest was rising and falling faintly. She had a dozen hoses and tubes connected to parts of her body from their origins aka IV's, monitors, and computers. "Okay. That's good so thanks the gods that the Insurgency has some decent medical supply." said Zane, taking a sigh of relief. "Thank you for helping me but you are human right?" said a voice.
Zane turned to see Adriana wide awake with her staying at Zane with a smile that reminded Zane of his friend back home. "So are you okay? I did try to heal you with magic but I kinda wish that I got the form that can heal your body using your own cell." said Zane. "It's fine. I'm only here because I got careless." said Adriana. "What do you mean by that?" said Zane. "Using my powers, I made my way through an Nemesis base to find information on our friends who got captured." said Adriana.
Dani walked in with her saying,"And what did you get Shroud?". "A good amount boss." said the woman with her coughing. "How about we let her rest before we question her huh?" said Zane. "We don't have time to waste. She knows this." said Dani. "Yeah don't worry so much. Nemesis has taken her to the secret base over in the ruins of Chicago and we need to hurry. The Empress is planning to her clone her and use something called Orothos to create an army that will wipe us out." said Adriana.
Zane looked at the ladies with him saying,"Orothos. That's something from my dimension and named after a powerful metahuman who won our World War 2 plus America invited the Nuke first thanks to a man by the name of J. Robert Oppenheimer.". "Okay. So I guess we'll make a plan and get her back before we're wiped out. You can rest now." said Dani. "Thanks boss." said Adriana, closing her eyes as Dani turned her head to Zane. "You ready for some work?" said Dani. "Yeah." said Zane.
Later, the wind was flying past and over his entire body. Zane had been assigned by Dani to recover and rescue the woman who was from another dimension like him and had recommended him to the Alliance by any means possible. Zane looked down to see his two teammates. It's Nigel and Savannah who are the top agents of the Insurgency. They were partners ever since high school and apparently nearly inseparable.
Zane was easily reminded of the relationship between Nazar and Sonya due to these two sharing the same face except more hardened from a never ending battle for freedom. Nazar was good friends with pretty much everyone from their class at Arcadia U and had been the biggest cry out of the whole group when Sierra died during the Massacre. Sonya was upset about her friend's death too but Harry was unable to visit her grave without blowing something up.
The Cross Species couldn't face them since he thought that they blamed him for being unable to save Sierra from Jessica despite Harry making it clear that they don't using an explosion to send a injured Zane flying much to Rachel's worry. This was a few days after Zane's eye surgery. The duo of Nigel and Savannah weren't against working with Zane but both of them had other things on their mind. It was mainly about Adriana who was slowly recover from her injury.
Zane was thankful that the two weren't going to complained and whine about working with someone who can transform into different forms but not the one he wanted. Zane tried to turn into Teleport or Turbo Form but got Terrapin Form instead much to his dismay. He was able to fly through the air by spinning his large flipper-like arms and his legs fused into a third one much to the shock of his two teammates.
The large tortoise/turtle was flying through the air using the air that was going out of his chest to keep him stable. The hero was flying above the duo of Nigel and Savannah who were driving two ATVs on the ground below them. Zane had asked them how they were avoiding attracting the attention of Nemesis. Savannah sharply responding with that their vehicles are blocking their radars and the trio was silent for the rest of the trip.
Zane couldn't handle the silence being that he really hated the Omniverse and its love for making him suffer and reward him. After a few more hours of quietly, Zane heard,"Hey there hero boy. Stop. You kinda stick out.". "Right." said Zane, slowly going down. "And here we are Protector. The location where they're contained the woman who brought you to our attention. Adriana got us this info and we're not letting her down." said Nigel.
The trio came to a completely stop at the base of a extensive and vast looking castle that stuck out within the ruins of the Windy City. The black and gray walls were high and thick. It was covered from top to bottom in spikes. There were spikes on the walls, towers, windows, and Zane was pretty sure that the architect who designed this place had a spike fetish for sure. It had turrets as Nemesis Drones patrolled the area.
Towers stood tall and grim at each corner being that a sort of large cannon mounted to the top of each one. A large tower stood smack in the center of the castle topped with spiked spires and twisted chimneys that screamed hopelessness. There were hundreds of Nemesis Droids that patrolled the base being Zane was thankful that they weren't spotted yet. On further inspection, Zane saw see a deep moat surrounding the base on a small island on Lake Michigan.
There was an rickety old bridge being the only way in and out. A soft glow came from the ring around the base and Zane was pretty sure that whatever was in there wasn't very friendly. Zane landed on the ground with him turning back to normal. During his free time, Zane had shaved his beard and he felt weird. "Man. It's been so long since I last shaved." said Zane as the two insurgences pulled up next to him with the girl looking annoyed.
Nigel noticed this with him sighing. "I really wish that Savannah wouldn't blame him for Adriana's injury. He didn't do anything." thought Nigel. "I hope he gets shot." thought Savannah. The trio ducked down behind a destroyed car and made their way silently until they reached the base of the wall. "So how are we going to get over there without alerting the guards?" whispered Zane. "You're the one with every power in the world so figure something out." whispered Savannah.
Zane shrugged as he turned into Brain Form ,frog form, with him groaning. "Fine. I can make this work." said Zane with him climbing up the base of the wall and leaving the two behind. "Okay then Savannah. While you may be mad at him for what happened to Adriana which he didn't do, you can't deny how cool that was." whispered Nigel. "Fine. Lets get this over with." whispered Savannah. She took a grappling hook off of her belt and began swing it, gathering momentum.
Savannah said,"Are there any guards there now? The Protector should have taken care of them but knowing him.....". "Nope. They aren't any so throw it before they show up." said Nigel with Savannah tossing the hook up and it latched onto something. She gave it a good few tugs just to make sure as the duo scaled up the wall. They reached the top but saw several destroyed Nemesis Drones with Zane standing over him.
Zane smirked with him saying,"They didn't expect to have their allies turned on them. I don't feel bad about this.". Savannah glared at him as she jumped down to the ground below. Nigel picked Zane up with him saying,"Really sorry about her Zane. She's just mad at you for what happened to Adriana.". "And you're not?" said Zane. Nigel shrugged with him saying,"I was at first but you went out of your way to save her so you're good in my book. Savannah just needs to lighten up.".
The trio clung to the shadows, staying silent as a Nemesis soldier ,looking the same as the Prime Dimension aka Zero Episode 142, or Nemesis Drone walked/floated by them. The base was filled to the brim with them. Zane looked around with him using his brain to calculate every eventuality that could possibly happen if they moved at a certain time. "So can we go?" whispered Nigel. Zane nodded as the boy dropped the frog and rushed forward.
Savannah followed after him with Zane going after the two but using his camouflage to blend in better than the two. They quickly pressed themselves against the wall of the main building just as guards passed on the walls above and not noticing the destroyed robots. "Hold on you two. We're going in another way." said Zane as he turned into Prodigy Form. "Hey! I got the one I wanted for once!" said Zane as he grabbed the duo's shoulders.
He phased the two with him into whatever room they appeared in. It was a janitor's closet of some kind and it was empty at the moment. Zane turned back to normal with Savannah decided to let him have it. "How dare you?! You weren't going to tell us of your plan to get it!" said Savannah. "I would have but...." said Zane. "Don't say anything! We don't need your sarcasm! I'm not whoever you think I am! I lost my brother because of Nemesis so shut the hell up right now!" said Savannah.
Nigel whispered,"Calm down Savannah.". "Calm down? Why are you defending him? I can't believe that we got stuck babysitting him. We can do this without your help!" said Savannah. Zane took it all in silence and he looked annoyed. If she was going to act like a jerk, he wasn't going to work with her. She clearly hated him just because she blamed him for Adriana's injury despite him being the one who healed her.
The alternate counterpart to one of his closest friends was trying to defend him but Savannah hated him just because he had a different way of doing this. "If you hate me fine. That's your opinion and you're allowed to have it Savannah. I'll go save this woman whoever she is and despite me liking Nigel, I rather work solo since you're being a bitch." said Zane, turning into Vine Form. "I can adapt to this unlike you guys." said Zane, stretching. "No just wait..." said Savannah.
She was stopped by Zane looking at her. "If you hate me, fine. Do your own thing. I'm going to do what I do best and that is saving people. I may not follow the rules but I get result. Later." said Zane as he burrowed his way through the ground and down into a dimly lit, stone hallway. He turned to the left. "So are you going to say something about what just happened partner?" said Nigel. "I'm not being a bitch right?" said Savannah.
Nigel was quiet with Savannah sighing. "Okay fine. I'll work with him but why does our leader believe so much in him?" said Savannah. "No idea. I guess she trusts him or something. I mean we could defy our leader but...." said Nigel. "Yeah. I know what would happen if we deny our leader's orders." said Savannah, shutting her partner up. The two went after Zane being that they were going to have do this his way or something else might happen.
In an unknown room, a woman coughed and desperately tried to reach the glass of water that was so close and yet so far. She knew that it would be pointless since she had tried many times to reach the glass but it was always reach. "My sister can be so petty. She's probably enjoying this from her ivory tower. I can't believe how fucked up the Prime Dimension could have been if the allies didn't have me, Stan, Torpedo, Warrior, or Orothos." thought the woman, groaning.
The woman would have said something about this but her throat was desperately dehydrated. Her beautiful skin was covered in cuts from the many beatings that she "earned" if she didn't tell them what they wanted. They wanted to know how to get the Insurgency but she would rat our her allies like that. She had been here for a week since she was captured but she knew that her allies in the Insurgency were safe from Nemesis for another day.
She thought,"I know that it was a risk going on that mission but if she is here, we can save the world from Nemesis again plus Zane will show up any day now. I know him too well. He always appears at the last second and saves the day usually making his enemies annoyed with his unique sense of humor if you can it that." thought the woman with a smile. She knew that they were getting impatient with her lack of answers, demanding her torturer to increase the pain during their sessions.
If she hadn't be tortured before in her life, she would have broken by now but she's a survivor. The table that she was tied to was a large, metal ring. Her arms and legs were spread eagle and shackled to the wheel by large chains. She barely had the strength to even lift her head as she heard a male voice echoed through the room,"So you must be excited to see me. I mean I'm always excited to see you since our Empress has a unique sense of humor.". The woman was naked.
Her birthday suit would have been exposed but there was that pesky white towel that covered her from her breasts to her waist to give her some modesty. "I'm thankful for the towel but I rather have a skimpy bikini than this. Dam you Suzuki." thought the woman. "Not talking again? I guess you must be pretty thirsty. Maybe I should give this water that's on the table in front of you but you can't see it can you huh?" said another male voice.
In front of her, there were two scientists being the same ones from Zero Episode 141 and the woman couldn't see anything after she was tortured by them using stun batons. She was beaten by them for a solid hour with her unable to see. However, her other senses had heightened. She could hear the soft breathing from the duo and her nose picked up how the scientist on the right stepped into a drying puddle of her own blood.
Her ears picked up on the sound of her blood tricking freely from her ankle where a large blade had stabbed her. The blade hadn't been removed since it was put inside of her three days ago and these freaks had been twisting it deeper into her burning flesh every hour or so. She was stronger than normal woman but she was still human. She couldn't use her partner to weaken the pain being that her sister had taken her away upon being captured.
The room that they were in was a large lab like chamber with it being rather spacious. There was a pillar for a computer right in the middle of the room and nearby the woman's prison. There were many computer systems on the walls, constructing zones where scientists ,matching the duo who were torturing her, were working on inventions and every part of the room was made out of cold metal. There was a set of stairs above on the second floor which lead into a viewing area.
The left scientist said,"So how do you like to be tortured Miss.". The woman couldn't answer her since her throat was dry due to a lack of liquid. "Dude. You should know that she can't say a damn thing but no, the Empress wants us to get information from her." said the right scientist with him pulling out a sword. "So why can't we give her what she wants again?" said the left scientist, pointing to the glass of water. It was just out of the woman's reach.
Miss knew this being that upon hearing the sword coming out, she knew what was going to happen next. Strong, fiery pain erupted in her other ankle. "I'm sure that you're mad about my boys checking you out but what can I say? You've always been quite attractive even though you're over a hundred years old." said a sinister yet metallic voice with a very distinct German accent. The woman turned her head to the location of the voice and growled.
She may be unable to see at the moment but she could never forget the voice of Nemesis's top scientist Doctor Siegfried Mcintyre aka Hijack. Siegfried is tall and well muscled, giving him a impressive physique. He has lightly tanned skin. He has golden blonde hair, a greasy looking goatee, and orange eyes with crosshairs for pupils. He has noticeable wrinkles ,from old age mainly, around his eyes.
He's wearing a white lab coat/trench coat with a dark maroon undershirt and silver tie with small crimson red skulls on it. Like the cloned scientists around him, he has a gray armband. Unlike the scientist's armbands, his armband has a black crown covered in flames. He wears large black gloves and brown leather belts. On his forehead, he wears a silver metallic headband with a blue center in the middle and a small y shaped extension. It's connected to his head through several tubes
Sieg looked at her and he smiled. "So what is the status report on her kleiner Freund?" said Sieg with him turning to the two scientists that were torturing her. "It's going much better than us getting any information from her sir." said the left scientist. "So why can't we give the glass of water again?" said the right scientist. Sieg looked at him with him saying,"Because the Empress has a very sick sense of humor and if you do that, she'll kill you.". "Ah. That's right." said the right scientist.
The woman said with her voice sounding rather faint due to her lack of liquid,"So why haven't you read my mind already? I'm sure you copied that power by now.". "It would be too easy and well, I like seeing my old enemy in a position like this. So do you want to know what I'm working for?" said Sieg. "Should you really be telling her that sir? I mean it's the old super villain telling the hero their plan cliche." said the right scientist.
After saying that, said scientist was thrown into the wall by an invisible force. "Sometimes. I make them stupid and our dear guest knows what I've been working on since I've been working on it since before any one of you were born." said Sieg, shaking his head. "Is it the new Nemesis Drones? We'll have their armor, circuitry, and weaponry ready for the Empress's performance in five days." said the left scientist.
Sieg shook his head as he said,"Yes and no. I'm enjoying our group success in this dimension but seeing the prime dimension's lack of us there is such a pain. That is where my plan comes to be. I've always wanted an army of metahumans by using the DNA of the two strongest metahumans who worked alongside the Allies in the Prime Dimension. Those two were the skills of Silver Moon and the power of Orothos. It may have taken me decades to finally achieve this but it has happened!".
The woman laughed with the left scientist looking at her in confusion. "Your creator is stupid. You may have the armor and weapons for these creatures of yours but you're missing one half of your super important formula." said the woman with her coughing up some blood. "Oh. I won't be revealing how I achieve this dream. For now, I'll let my minions have their fun with you. I created them to be like horny teens." said Sieg.
Sieg watched the woman struggle to free herself with him laughing. "You're trying to escape which won't work but it will do one thing. Moving your towel off." said Sieg. The woman stopped much to the other cloned scientists's dismay. "Since you're done with that display, have you gotten what you need from her?" said Sieg. "Yes. We didn't get information on the Insurgency but we did get her DNA. She's such a good resource." said the left scientist.
He pointed to a lot of scalpels, syringes and other medical equipment. Before anything else could go on, there was a loud knock. Everyone in the room turned to the sealed door to the room. It had two large fist shaped dent on it as if two large fists hit the door. "See? I told you that he would mess things up! And you just had to agree with his plan!" said a female voice. "Come on. It isn't like you would have any other better ideas! And he isn't here!" said a male voice.
The left scientist turned to his creator with him saying in concern,"So should we do something about this or?". "If my boss was here, yes but since she isn't. Let it happen." said Sieg. "Why do you hate him so much? You barely know him!" said a male voice. "That's my point! All of you are blinded by how he could stop Nemesis but he can't!" yelled a female voice. "Can't you just have a little faith in something? Plus our leader believes in him and he kept Shroud from dying!" said the male voice.
Sieg chuckled with him saying,"This is the most interesting thing that has happened here in a long time.". "I guess but where did you get the bag of popcorn?" said the left scientist, looking at his creator who was eating popcorn. "I decided to make a machine that brings me popcorn with a single thought. I'm a genius and we get hungry." said Sieg, shrugging his shoulders. "Can I have something sir?" said the scientist.
The doctor nodded with him saying,"While we may be under the control of a woman who has some serious sister issues, she doesn't have control of my lab so go nuts.". The left scientist grabbed a handful of popcorn. "You don't know him partner but our leader does. The person we're here to save is someone you trust despite not knowing her for a long period of time. So what's up with you and I want an answer?" said the male voice.
After saying that, there was a deafening silence that echoed through the lab. "I'm pregnant with your child idiot!" yelled the woman. "Oh snap! I didn't see that coming!" said Sieg, earning an eye roll from the towel wearing woman. "You're what?!" said the male. "I'm pregnant with your child Nigel Kern." said the woman. "Wow. When did this happen Savannah? I mean we've been together since high school but we've always used protection." said Nigel.
Savannah sighed as she said,"Remember New Years? I didn't have my period four weeks after our night together and before the doc got sick, she told me about having your son. I was going to tell you Nigel after you came back from your mission but then Shroud got injured. Her getting injured scared me and I blamed our latest recruit for her getting injured. She's like a member of my family and I don't want to lose another family member.".
On the other side, Nigel looked at his partner with him saying,"Look Savannah. I know that you were worried about Adriana but we need to have a serious talk after this.". "Fine. So where is he?" said the woman. "I left you guys alone so you can talk." said a third voice. "Oh shit. Activate the....!" said Sieg. He couldn't finish issuing his order as another knock was heard being that there was a large dent next to the two fist sized dents.
The scientists took up arms and they scrambled to get their weapons. Sieg tried to get them into position but the doors broke open and made a large noise on the marbled floor. The towel wearing woman cringed due to the noise with her hearing,"Sorry about that but I'm sure that you can repair the damages.". Sieg looked to see Zane standing there with him in Orb Form. "Who are you?!" said Sieg, not knowing who this intruder was.
Zane looked at Sieg with him saying,"I was going to ask you the same thing since my allies are focused on taking down your minions.". After hearing that, Sieg saw Nigel and Savannah taking out his creations using their hands. The woman looked up to see a blurred image talking to another blurred image with her smiling. "I knew you would show up eventually." said the woman. "You know her boy?!" said Sieg.
The superhero looked at Sieg with him saying,"Yeah I do. She's my partner in the Alliance Silver Moon and I'm sorry for letting this happen to you. Really hate portals.". "You can't do nothing to me! I'm the head scientist to Nemesis who rules this world!" said Sieg, firing a green energy beam at Zane using his left hand. "Um. I can do that because you're not a god." said Zane, switching forms into Chimera Form.
Zane sighed as he said,"I wanted Scarecrow Form but this will work. I hate magic, portals, and magical portals.". He turned his body into steel with him withstand the energy blast and extended his right arm toward the scientist. Sieg went back to evade the shapeshifter's attack but was punched in the face by Nigel. This punch sent the scientist across the room and right into the central pillar. He was going to break out of the wall but the pillar melted around him.
Sieg was trapped with him looking right at Savannah who used her powers on him. "While I may hate you right now Zane for something out of your control, I'll thank you for preventing anyone to come after us." said Savannah. "Yeah. We only had to take out the scientist inside of this room since we just took out the guards that were inside of the tower. Do you two mind trying to get out Alyssa?" said Zane.
Nigel looked at the towel wearing woman with him saying,"Um sure but what are you going to do man?". Before he could get an answer, he watched Zane get blasted by a green energy beam and saw Sieg floating toward Zane, ignoring the two members of the Insurgency. The scientist kept blasting him with green energy beams. "Oh. That make sense." said Nigel as he and Savannah went over to Alyssa's prison.
Sieg glared right at Zane ,while ignoring the two rebels, as the scientist said while continuing to blast Zane with two energy beams from his hands,"Did you two really think that prison would hold me? I copied the powers of intangibility from a Phantom I examined! Foolish Insurgencies! I'm Doctor Siegfried McIntyre! The head scientist of Nemesis and I'm about to achieve my goal of controlling the earth with my army of metas!".
Zane looked at the scientist with him saying,"Oh wow. You have an ego. I should tell you that your attack is doing nothing to me.". The hero flew right above Sieg's energy beams with the scientist growling at him. "You may be able to dodge like a coward but you can't defeat me!" said Sieg as he turned around, firing an energy beam from his forehead instead of his hands. "Okay. I'm getting sick of the energy beams but hey, it beats hammers." said Zane.
The hero's left arm expanded in size with him sending it toward Sieg. The scientist made a force field form around him as it took the blunt force of Zane's attack. "Don't you see you foolish child? My genius can't be outmatched!" mocked Sieg. He looked over to see Nigel and Savannah trying to free Alyssa from her prison with him smiling. "You may think that but I should tell you that nothing is impossible. I can break your prison and barrier at the same time." said Zane.
Zane switched forms with him turning into Dancer Form. "You switched forms again. What kind of creature are you?!" said Sieg with him being confused and interested in the latest member of the only group who tries and fight the Insurgency. "Just your dimension travelling superhero." said Zane as he rushed toward Sieg. The scientist made another forcefield to block Zane's attack like he did before but it failed unlike.
Sieg's eyes widened with him saying,"Impossible!". "With him, nothing is impossible. Thanks for that Nigel and congrats on being a dad." said Alyssa as she had finally gotten something to drink thanks to Nigel giving her the cool water slide down her parched throat. "Yep. I manipulated your chi and that stopped you from using your powers so I can do this." said Zane, cocking back his left fist and punching Sieg in the face with a high amount of force.
The scientist was sent flying into the wall and began bouncing like a pinball above the four. "So did you mean to do that or what?" said Savannah, watching him go. "Kinda but hey, I ain't going to complain. Get ready to catch her Savannah and Nigel better close his eyes just in case the towel comes off." said Zane, slashing Alyssa free as Savannah caught her and Nigel closed his eyes just in case.
Alyssa smiled as she said,"Thanks for saving me guys. So do you mind taking these blades out of me? They really do hurt.". "Okay." said Zane, pulling both blades out of her and the spy braced herself for the pain. "Oh god. That looks painful." said Nigel, trying not to puke as he watched the spy bleed. "It does Nigel but I've felt worse. So do you guys have an escape plan or what?" said Alyssa. Nigel and Savannah looked at Zane with him saying,"And we do. Lets move out.".
The four left the room with Zane carrying Alyssa on his back. "So are you sure about him being unable to chase?" said Savannah, talking about the head scientist who just crashed into the ground after they left. "He'll be out for a good long while." said Zane. The quartet turned left, retracting their steps away and taking out any guards ,that they missed earlier, before coming at a crossroads in the castle.
Savanna looked down one hallway being that she could heard some footsteps heading toward them with Nigel hearing the same thing down the other hallway. The final hallway ,being the one in front of them, seemed clear with Zane aiming his right arm in front of him. "I may be have trouble right now but here's hoping that I can do this." said Zane as his right arm changed into Diamond Form's right arm. "Sweet. I was hoping for Frost Form but Diamond Form works too." said Zane.
Zane created two large walls of diamonds which blocked off the left and right hallway. The four went down the third pathway after that. "Zane. Can I ask you for a favor?" said Alyssa. "What is it?" said Zane as his right arm turned back to match Dancer Form. "We need to go find Kelly. Those bastards took her off me since Sieg detected an unknown presence on me. They ripped her off me and I can't leave her behind." said Alyssa.
Nigel looked at her with him saying,"And who is Kelly?". "Her partner. I'm going to go find her and don't worry. I'll be back in a flash. Just head to the exit and try not to die." said Zane as he turned into Swift Form. "Yes! I got the right one!" said Zane. Alyssa was in his arms ,like a bride, as she said,"So you're having some problems with your watch aren't you?". "Yeah. I blame magic but I'll fix it later. Now lets jet!" said Zane.
The two were gone with Savannah said,"Wow. That was fast.". "So do you still hate him?" said Nigel as the two were running down the hallway. "A bit. He does make this rescue mission a bit easier since he tends to draw people's attention. I guess I owe him an apology after we get back." said Savannah as the two reach a set of doors. "Stand back. I got this." said Nigel, focusing his powers and covering him in dark red armor.
Nigel cocked his fist back and then punched the heavy set of doors with a solid right punch, sending the door flying into the courtyard. The two walked out with them looking for any guards. The two ran through the courtyard without any trouble. Thanks to Vine Form, they had taken out the guards that were on the walkways earlier. Savannah spotted a Nemesis Drone toward them with her pulling out her pistols and fired a quick round of energy bullets.
Savannah looked around as she spotted a group of Nemesis Drones flying toward them being that they were going to get ready to fire upon them. However, they were stopped by a single arrow ,that released an EMP upon contact, and this arrow came from behind them. "And that's how you shoot down a bunch of every robots who are trying to kill your friends." said a male voice. "Nice shot Zane. Your aim is oh so impressive." said a female voice.
The two turned to see a clothed .being her signature costume, Alyssa and Zane in Archer Form. Nigel smiled upon seeing them but his smile disappeared. "Um you guys. What are you doing with that exactly?" said Nigel. Alyssa smiled as she pointed to the stasis pod behind them. and she said,"This will help Zane and I save the world from Nemesis. So do you think you get us out of here?". Zane nodded as he deactivated Archer Form and made an indigo colored spiral portal, warping them away.
Dani bit down on her lip and walked back and forth as she waited for the trio of Nigel, Savannah, and Zane. She heard about their exploits since they had taken out a base belonging to one of the top figureheads of Nemesis aka Sieg. A portal opened up in front of her. The group of Alyssa, Nigel, Savannah, and Zane came out with the hero holding the stasis pod. "Hey there boss. We're back and without any scratches." said Nigel.
Savannah smiled as she said,"Yeah and we got back Alyssa.". "Sorry about not giving you a name before Dani but well, I kinda didn't trust you at first." said Alyssa. "Yet you trusted me even though I was in a prison when we met." said Zane with a smirk. "Your case is different since I was working for Silas at the time and he did a very through job in researching you." said Alyssa. "So what are inside of the pod you two?" said Dani. "Something to help save the world." said Zane, smiling
